The staff’s hospitality is good, but.
This was the first time an Accommodation did not arrange a taxi for the next day. At other Accommodations, this has never happened. I was told to call one myself. Also, dogs were barking loudly during the night. If you are traveling by private car and with pets, you may be satisfied, but I cannot recommend it to others.

Summer Family Trip
By chance, our daughter’s marriage registration coincided with our planned summer trip, turning it into a special family celebration. We asked if we could celebrate with a cake at dinner, but were told it would need to be ordered externally, so we chose to have “Congratulations” written on the dessert plate included in the course. The French course was delicious from start to finish, and the bread was excellent as well. The staff who served us were very courteous. The large public bath is compact but clean, and there is also an open-air bath. We traveled with our dog; pets must be carried when moving around inside the building, but in the Room they are free while you are in the Room, and a crate is provided when you leave them alone. The Room was clean, quiet, and easy to use, and our dog was able to relax comfortably. Just one thing: the wet wipes provided among the in-room dog amenities were empty. That’s all. Otherwise we were completely satisfied! Thank you very much.

It was wonderful!
I’ve visited Hakone many times, but this time I was traveling solo with the goal of visiting Hakone Shrine, so I was looking for an Accommodation. What made me choose this Accommodation was that it offers a solo-traveler Plan and provides Shuttle Service to Hakone Shrine. The Accommodation felt very clean, and not only the Room but also the large public bath and changing area were impeccably maintained. From the lobby at check-in, my Room, the bath, and the restaurant, I could enjoy a panoramic view of Lake Ashi, which truly lifted my spirits. The weather was perfect on the day I stayed, and seeing the sparkling water rippling in the breeze was absolutely beautiful—I could simply gaze at it and enjoy a wonderfully luxurious time. Welcome fruit was prepared in my Room as well, and it was delicious. Listening to Japanese bush warblers sing while immersing myself in an unfinished book—and then soaking slowly in the gentle hot water—was pure bliss. Above all, the meals were even better than expected! The bread was freshly baked and delightfully chewy, and everything was well balanced in both flavor and presentation from start to finish. Personally, I also appreciated that children are not accepted for stays; it kept the entire property quiet and created a refined atmosphere for adults to relax. I love art as well, so it made me happy to see paintings of Mt. Fuji by Japanese artists displayed throughout the corridors and Rooms. I’d love to visit again when autumn leaves are at their peak. Thank you very much for such a wonderful stay.

It was a wonderful A...
It was a wonderful Accommodation. The Room size and the open-air bath were both just right for relaxing. The staff were also lovely, with the perfect sense of distance, and it was very soothing. I’m quite strict about cleanliness, but it was flawless. I’d love to stay again. For this price, the quality makes me want to come back.

This was our second ...
This was our second stay, with our senior dog, to celebrate a family birthday. Unfortunately, the weather was poor due to a typhoon, but it actually created a magical view—an ocean of clouds stretching from the mountains down to Lake Ashi. With only around 30 Rooms, the Accommodation is very quiet. Our Room had an open-air bath, and with a later checkout we were able to spend plenty of time relaxing in peace. It was also a plus that all four of us could stay together in one Room with plenty of space, and that everyone could rest comfortably on Simmons beds—one of the reasons we keep coming back! Above all, the meals were thoughtfully composed and exciting from start to finish, with a wide variety of ingredients and outstanding flavor. The presentation was beautiful as well, so we enjoyed them visually too. All of the staff were wonderful and attentive. We would love to visit again if we have the chance.

It was a beautiful Hotel!
The Accommodation features elaborate custom craftsmanship using hinoki cypress throughout, making it a calm and relaxing place to stay. The Room was also new and spotless. The Japanese-style paintings of Mt. Fuji displayed throughout the Hotel create a wonderful atmosphere. Both the service and the cuisine were very satisfying. This is an Accommodation I would like to return to.

A truly special Accommodation, with cuisine that will leave you impressed.
If you’re looking on IKYU for a pet-friendly Accommodation in Hakone with an open-air bath in the Room, this is the one. I’m not comfortable with places that feel like a “dog hotel,” so I chose this. The rules say a crate is required, but it was very helpful that holding our dog was allowed. We were truly impressed by the food. It’s French cuisine, but being able to use chopsticks suited us well. At the end, the chef came out to greet us as we finished dessert, and we could really feel their passion reflected in the flavors and depth of each dish. I strongly recommend upgrading the meal plan. Bread can be refilled at both dinner and breakfast, served freshly baked. The morning croissants are especially good. The open-air bath in the Room was spacious enough to stretch out comfortably, and it automatically refilled when the water level dropped. One downside was that we were on the first floor, so as the trees have grown, Lake Ashi has become harder to see. The public bath also had a more limited view due to the trees. There were many Japanese staff members, which felt reassuring since many places these days are about half foreign staff. It’s a wonderful Accommodation where we had a special experience with our pet. Thank you very much.

Relax by Lake Ashi, with bush warblers and your own private Onsen bath.
This is a very beautiful and wonderful Accommodation. It has a calm atmosphere, and with jazz playing throughout the building, it’s an Accommodation where you can truly unwind and relax. The Room terrace offers a comfortable space to take it easy, plus an open-air Onsen bath. The water was genuinely soothing. Even while inside the Room, I could hear the gentle sound of the continuously flowing natural spring water, which was very calming. There are many paintings by Mr. Masami Goma displayed throughout the building and in the Room, giving a cohesive feel and making it enjoyable from an artistic perspective as well. I’d love to stay again.

Sometimes there was one bottle of mineral water, and other times there were two. How many bottles should there normally be? Was this not explained? Even for Diamond members, is check-out still at 11:00?

A great accommodation.
I stayed here on a sudden solo trip. I really appreciated being able to make a Reservation on the same day. While the hotel uses modern systems such as QR-code check-in, the staff are polite and warmly welcoming. The international staff also work very hard and left a good impression, but the language barrier is significant, and there were times when it was difficult to understand what they were saying. The hot spring water is clear with a pleasant sulfur scent. It was a bit hot for me, so I cooled it with some water and enjoyed it. The meals are French-style and generally tasty, but since both breakfast and dinner are Western-style, I felt I started to get a little tired of them.

This is a wonderful accommodation.
I traveled solo as a woman, and I would definitely like to stay again. It was a wonderful Accommodation. I could feel the staff’s thoughtfulness in so many ways. I requested the Shuttle Service, and when we arrived, they first had everyone sit down and then called us to the counter when it was our turn to check in, so there was no need to stand in line unnecessarily. The Room was spotless—not a speck of dust—and the comfortable sofa, plentiful power outlets, and the in-room bath were all extremely clean with a great view; it was perfect. The large public bath was just as clean and wonderful. From both the large public bath and the in-room bath, we could hear many Japanese bush warblers singing; it was my first time ever bathing while listening to so much birdsong. Having both sleepwear and loungewear for inside the building was also very helpful. All necessary amenities were provided. As for the food, it seemed even the plates were warmed before serving, and there were plenty of hot dishes, which I really appreciated. There was also sparkling wine for a toast; I’m not good with alcohol, but they let me choose alcoholic or non-alcoholic options. They refilled my water right away and didn’t ask whether I wanted to order drinks either—so for someone like me who usually eats with just water, it felt very comfortable and reassuring. From what I overheard, they did ask neighboring guests about drinks, so I think they considered whether or not each guest needed prompting. They also served each course at a great pace. I ordered both dinner and breakfast and was completely satisfied. Points that concerned me → This is largely because my understanding of Hakone is limited, but the road used by the Shuttle Service is quite mountainous, and I got carsick on both trips. I don’t usually get motion sickness easily; another 15 minutes might have been risky for me. On the way back from the museum you took me to (where you dropped me off), I returned to Odawara by bus without feeling sick at all—so perhaps buses are simply more stable? Just in case, having waterproof sick bags placed in each seat pocket might provide peace of mind. Next time I will take motion-sickness medicine before boarding. Separately from that: I chose a Plan that included afternoon tea, but since it seems there are dedicated teaspoons for it (special utensils), stains stood out on them noticeably. The cutlery brought with my meal and canelé had no issues at all—so if those special teaspoons are difficult to maintain properly, perhaps there’s no need to use dedicated ones. I’ve listed what concerned me above, but there were far more wonderful points than anything else—it truly became an amazing refreshment from everyday life. Thank you very much.

Repeat booking: Done!
The in-Room Onsen was simply amazing! It was my first time trying a simple sulfur spring. My skin felt so smooth afterward, and the breakouts I had calmed down by the next day. It warmed me from the core, and I stayed toasty for ages. Needless to say, the view of Lake Ashi is wonderful, and since it’s built at a high elevation, I could soak without worrying about being seen. There are many Hotels and homes around the Lake Ashi area, but they’re far enough away that you can’t really see them with the naked eye. As for the food, we didn’t upgrade our plan, but everything was delicious right through to dessert and we were very satisfied. The tableware was lovely as well. In terms of portion size, breakfast felt a bit lacking for my husband since refills of bread weren’t available. I’d read various Reviews about service staff quality, but I had no issues at all—I felt everyone had been well trained and improvements had been made. The amenities were disappointing: there were no individually packaged skincare items. I didn’t expect that at a Hotel in this price range. They did have toothbrushes, shower caps, nylon body towels, brushes, hair clips, T-shaped razors, etc., though… I liked that there were separate loungewear (samue-style) outfits for inside the property and pajamas for sleeping. It was also a bit inconvenient that there was only one vending machine with limited options and it accepted cash only. Overall, because both the Onsen and the food were excellent, I’d like to return.

The Facility was new...
The Facility was new, and the service was excellent. The in-room bath was a bit small, but the hot spring water quality was wonderful and kept me warm well into the night. I could hear the sound of running water from the continuous flow late at night, which was a little noisy, so I wished there were something to reduce the noise at the outlet.

Everything is comfortable.
Our family of four stayed one night in the Miyabi Wing. We could feel the attention to detail throughout the building, starting with the ceiling, and everything we needed was provided, so we were able to relax comfortably. It was our first time staying at an Accommodation that had not only a hair dryer but also a hair iron. There were two standard EV chargers in the parking lot, and we were able to charge for 1,000 yen per session. While enjoying the wonderful views of Lake Ashi and the surrounding mountains, we used the open-air bath in our Room many times. The large public bath was also very clean and had a sauna; my daughter said it felt great. The French cuisine was excellent—from dessert all the way to the canelé we received as an in-room meal. We visited to celebrate our younger child’s school entrance, and it became a truly memorable trip for our family. This is an Accommodation we would love to visit again. An Accommodation featuring an open-air bath in the guest room and creative French cuisine.
Soaking as long as you like in the in-room open-air Onsen bath, with a faint sulfur scent while looking out over Lake Ashi, is pure luxury. The creative French cuisine is thoughtfully crafted in both ingredients and seasoning, making it feel more like an auberge than an Onsen Accommodation. If I had to ask for one improvement, better hospitality from the dining hall staff would make mealtimes even more enjoyable. The room itself lacked nothing in terms of interior and amenities, but especially late at night and early morning, footsteps from the floor above carry quite loudly. For pets that are not used to being in a crate, a lengthy check-in due to services such as welcome drinks is stressful for both pets and owners. It would be helpful if options such as a simplified check-in could be offered.

Accommodation with Views of the Sea of Clouds over Lake Ashi
We visited to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The Accommodation is in a great location with views of Lake Ashi from the Room, and luckily on the day we stayed we were able to see a sea of clouds from the terrace. The meals are light, creative French cuisine, so even people who aren’t fond of French food may still enjoy it. The bread was delicious. As for staff service, perhaps because there are many new staff members, many couldn’t answer questions such as the grape varieties in the wine. The Onsen had soft water, and both the indoor bath and the large public bath were clean and very nice.

Stay with Your Dog
We stayed in a Room where you can stay with your dog. A crate, pee pads, and other essentials are provided. However, you cannot dine together, and there are no Facilities such as a dog run. The staff were friendly and very attentive. We had a kaiseki-style French course meal, and every dish was delicious. The open-air bath in the Room had a great view and was larger than I expected—I could stretch out and relax. It would be disappointing to go to an Onsen only to find it smaller than the bath at home. It’s an Accommodation we’d love to stay at again!

I would like to stay here again.
The Onsen water quality was truly excellent. Also, the meals were outstanding! Thank you very much for having the chef come to greet us at the end. Everything was wonderfully delicious. The Room was spacious and comfortable. The floor was wood, so it was a bit slippery for our small dog, but we brought blankets to lay down, so it was fine. A crate large enough for two small dogs was provided, so we could leave them safely while we went to the restaurant or the Onsen without worry. We would also like to stay at your Nasu property next time. The room attendant was kind and helpful as well. Thank you very much.

The meals are delicious.
I was looking for an Accommodation where I could stay with my dog. I had previously stayed at a sister property in Nasu, and the Italian food there wasn’t great, so I was a bit concerned—but the French cuisine in Hakone was absolutely delicious! I’m always considering which Regina Resort to visit next because the meals are consistently excellent, and choosing this one specifically for the dining experience was a great decision. I’ll be back when the menu changes.

Delicious French Cuisine
Thank you for your hospitality. Both dinner and breakfast featured meals that made the most of the ingredients. The wine menu was extensive, but our driver kept it light considering the drive the next morning... The staff were kind and even engaged in friendly conversations with us. We traveled with our dog, and they were very accommodating. The view of Lake Ashi from the Room was breathtaking. We would love to visit again!

Clean and pleasant atmosphere. Unsatisfactory dinner service. The staff were kind, but it seems they lack proper training from management. Despite being a course meal, the risotto and fish dish were served together.

First Pet-Friendly Accommodation
It was my first stay at an accommodation near Lake Ashi, and I chose a room where I could stay with my pet—it was amazing. The room and the view were beautiful, and there was no smell from other pets, which was wonderful as I am usually sensitive to odors. The meals were delicious, the service was excellent, and even the foreign staff explained things very well in Japanese. The beds were divided into two rooms, making it a great place to stay with family or others while still being able to relax. I would love to stay at this hotel again next time!

The meals were delicious.
I chose this accommodation because of the good reviews. However, I was very disappointed with the response of the young staff when I arrived at the hotel by car and with the unclear explanation of dishes by foreign staff. The portion sizes were also small, and the risotto was only enough for two bites.

We chose to use IKYU for our family trip because the Reviews were great! They prepared a birthday plate for us, and even provided one for my mother, who wasn't celebrating her birthday, making it the best family trip ever! The canelé served as a late-night snack was also delicious! The guest rooms and the open-air bath in the large public bath during this season were absolutely fantastic!

An accommodation I definitely want to visit again.
We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and brought our beloved dog along. The staff's service was very courteous, the room was impeccably clean, and every dish we had was absolutely delicious. At the end of dinner, the head chef came to greet us, which felt very sincere. The bath was also clean and well-maintained. It was an accommodation that made us want to visit again. Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful time!

Everything is perfect.
The building is so clean that it's hard to believe it's only three years old. The Room combines Japanese and Western styles, and you can enjoy views of the mountains and Lake Ashi from the balcony. For dinner, we sat at the counter seats with a view of Lake Ashi through the window. The French cuisine was beautifully presented on elegant plates, and everything was delicious. During dessert, the head chef greeted us personally, allowing us to express our appreciation for the wonderful meal directly. The staff were very kind and made our stay comfortable and pleasant. We would love to visit again!

Stay with Pets
I stayed with my wife and our pet dog. This accommodation is part of the members-only resort "Miyabi Club." The building appears to be relatively new, and the facilities, interior, and room were clean. The view of Lake Ashi from outside the lobby floor was stunning. However, from the Nagomi Wing, the main view was of mountains with little to no visibility of Lake Ashi. I am unsure about the Miyabi Wing. While pets are allowed, it is not entirely pet-friendly. The room had a cage and basic supplies like pet sheets; however, pets must be carried within the facility, and there was no visible dog run space. Fortunately, as it was good weather during our stay, we took walks outside. The surrounding area mainly consists of vacation homes with simple walking paths. The meals were elaborate French cuisine and tasted excellent. However, there were no call buttons in private dining rooms; you need to raise your voice to call staff when needed. Some staff members were non-Japanese but spoke Japanese fluently without issues. That said, there were instances where requests like water were forgotten at times. It also seemed that guests in a neighboring private room did not receive their coffee after their meal. Overall, while neither outstanding nor disappointing in any particular aspect for its price point—considering its cost—I rated this accommodation 3 stars out of 5.

Family Trip
I had the pleasure of traveling with my daughter's family for the first time in a while. The weather was great, with a temperature of around 28°C. On that day, Tokyo experienced a scorching 35°C heatwave. The weather forecast predicted cloudy skies in Hakone, and while there were some clouds, it turned out to be a perfect day for sightseeing in Hakone. When we stayed at this accommodation in spring, I felt the flavors were slightly stronger compared to last autumn and worried it might not suit my daughter's family (who prefer lighter flavors). However, it was absolutely fine! The food was even more delicious than during our spring visit, and we finished everything completely. My daughter's family seemed very satisfied as well. Since I had informed them about my husband's dental issues beforehand, the chef and staff were incredibly attentive and accommodating.
