    It was our first tri...

    It was our first trip to Okinawa in a while. In the past, we traveled with our children and visited many places, so we didn’t spend much time at the Hotel. Now that we are both in our 60s, we enjoyed a relaxing Multiple Night Stay for two nights. Because it is a remote island a little far from Naha, we could truly feel the authentic, non-touristy Okinawa. Not only was the food wonderful, but being warmly chatted with by the staff was the greatest “reward” of all. We became fans of Kouri Island and One Suite. We would love to visit again.

    This is my absolute ...

    This is my absolute favorite Hotel. I love traveling and have stayed in many places, but One Suite is the only Hotel that makes me want to come back again and again. I’m so happy to have found such a wonderful Hotel in Okinawa, which I love so much. The food was incredibly delicious, and the staff’s thoughtfulness was outstanding—truly an amazing Hotel. I would be so happy if more and more people could discover it. Congratulations on your 5th anniversary! I’m looking forward to seeing all of the staff again!

    I want to come to Okinawa to stay here.

    I became a huge fan of this Hotel after my first stay last year, and this year was my second repeat visit. It’s a truly special Accommodation that makes me want to come to Okinawa just to stay at One Suite THE GRAND. [Dining] Above all, the dining is the biggest highlight. I was genuinely impressed by both the presentation and the flavors. Each dish uses fresh Okinawan ingredients and brings a new surprise. The menu is designed like a puzzle, so even the wait is fun, and I could feel how much thought went into every detail. Breakfast was also absolutely delicious—this is truly an Accommodation for food lovers. [Facility] The ocean view from the infinity pool is breathtaking no matter how many times you see it. The daytime blue sea is beautiful, of course, but I especially love the sunset in the evening—I never get tired of watching it. The pool is wonderful, but the sauna (swimwear required; mixed-gender) is another standout. It’s not just an add-on sauna—the temperature, cold plunge bath, and relaxation area are all excellent. [Activities] What I experienced: - E-bike (last year) - Stargazing & photography (this year) Both were unique and memorable experiences that you can only have on Kouri Island. For stargazing, a staff member provided Shuttle Service by car to a beach photo spot with very little light pollution at night. The sky was so full of stars it almost looked bright—it was truly spectacular. [Hospitality] Not only are they polite, but everyone is friendly and warm as well—such wonderful people. They took lots of photos for us and spoke to us with genuine smiles throughout our stay, with attentive service and thoughtful care in every moment. After checkout, we even found water bottles and a handwritten message quietly placed in our car as we were leaving—an incredibly touching gesture that showed their heartfelt hospitality until the very end. I’m deeply grateful for the scenery, the dining experience, and above all for the warm hospitality from all staff members. This is an Accommodation I can confidently recommend for special occasions—and it has become one of my most cherished places in life. I would love to return again next year.

    Exceptional hospitality

    This was my second stay, the first in two years. The attentive service is exceptional, making this a truly comfortable Hotel. I also enjoyed the newly renovated bar lounge and the spa massage this time—it was pure bliss. The Shuttle Service that takes you anywhere on the island was also greatly appreciated. The dining at this Hotel is truly outstanding, and they still remembered the ingredients I don’t like from my previous stay. They accommodated me with such care that I could enjoy every meal with complete peace of mind. Without me even asking, they surprised us with a special celebration at dinner since it was my husband’s birthday month—I was deeply moved! These days most Hotels offer breakfast buffets, but since we can’t eat that much, breakfast here is absolutely perfect for us. The portions are generous, and every dish is satisfying both to the eye and to the palate. This time I chose Japanese breakfast, and it was so delicious that I chose it again on the second day—though now I’m wishing I had tried the Western option too. The Room was spacious, bright, clean, and had a great view—perfect for enjoying Okinawa to the fullest. Next time, I’d love to try an upgraded Room as well.

    Excellent!

    It was my first stay, and everything was excellent—the Room, dining, view, lounge, gym, and pool. Above all, the staff were wonderful and even prepared a surprise for us; it was an amazing Hotel! I wish we had stayed one more night... Next time, I’d love to relax and stay for about three nights!

    Top ratings across the board!

    I’ve stayed at many Hotels in Okinawa, and this was by far the most satisfying stay. As soon as we arrived on Kouri Island, I honestly felt it was a true hidden-gem Hotel—you wouldn’t know where it was until you got there. The Room, lobby, and restaurant were all spotless, and the fresh aroma scent was incredibly soothing. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner for three days. Every dish was beautifully presented, truly delicious, and more than generous in portion size. The menu changed every day, which made it exciting. Above all, I was deeply impressed by the hospitality of every staff member. I can’t even put into words how moving their service was. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great, but we fully enjoyed the sauna, pool, and lounge—three wonderful days in total. This time I stayed with my wife, and she was very happy as well. During our stay we learned that they have received Michelin recognition for two consecutive years—completely understandable. There were also several international guests staying here; it’s impressive, and I truly hope you keep up the great work. I definitely want to stay again! Thank you very much.

    Over the Rainbow: A Castle (Gusuku) That Weaves Connections

    This was my third stay during Golden Week. I first came here after a friend recommended it two years ago, and I’ve been completely captivated by this Hotel ever since. Above all, I’m always moved by the owner’s thoughtful attention to every detail. The staff also quickly sense your preferences and how you’re feeling, offering perfectly natural care that lets you relax in comfort and peace. For dinner, we made a Reservation for counter seating. Each year I’m amazed by the Chef’s ever-evolving cuisine—my stomach couldn’t be happier. With a Multiple Night Stay, you really feel just how outstanding the Chef’s skills are (and the conversation too). The sommelier is all warmth and smiles, with deep knowledge; every time she introduces wines and sake I’ve never tried before, making the conversation enjoyable and the drinks go down easily. And at night, we head to Bar TIn. The bartender is truly gentle in the most comforting way, with great stories that soothe the heart. It’s so cozy that we end up staying until closing every time (sorry!). The live piano performance in the bar has such a tender tone that it elevates everything into pure bliss. Now on my third visit, I’ve built connections with so many wonderful people—this castle-like Hotel only strengthens my feeling of “See you next year!” Owner, staff, Chef, sommelier, bartender—this truly rainbow-colored team offers exceptional hospitality that leaves me happy even after returning home. Thank you again for Golden Week next year as well.

    It was absolutely amazing.

    We stayed in April. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great, but this wonderful Hotel more than made up for it. - Located on a hilltop on Kouri Island with breathtaking views; the contrast between the softly lit reception area and the hall was fantastic. - A lovely Room with just the right amount of space. Ocean views from the bath, and a large sofa that was very comfortable and practical. - Complimentary drinks and snacks in the Room. - I usually can’t finish a full-course meal, so I was happy they offered a smaller course option—still very filling! - The staff were friendly and attentive. We had a great time visiting the sightseeing spots they recommended. Next time, we’d like to stay for two nights and enjoy the spa and pool as well.

    Satisfied!

    This is still a Hotel I’m always satisfied with whenever I visit! This is my third stay this year, and the staff’s hospitality-filled service hasn’t changed at all. The food is delicious too, and I look forward to it every time. I prefer trips that focus on enjoying the Hotel rather than visiting sightseeing spots, so spending time by the poolside, zoning out while looking at the ocean, is the best part of my Okinawa trip. It’s almost like I come to Okinawa every year just for this. One small disappointment: has the turndown service and the starry-sky presentation been discontinued? Or was that not available for Standard Rooms? After dinner, when I returned to my Room, there used to be a wonderful effect with a starry sky projected onto the ceiling. I’ll visit again next year. Thank you very much!

    A wonderful Accommodation

    When the car navigation guidance stopped partway, I called the Hotel and they came to pick me up by car. I felt a bit relieved to learn that the road we took was not the original route, and they also drove me back on my return. The food was very delicious, made with high-quality ingredients and thoughtfully prepared. I hardly drink alcohol and had never been to a bar before, but I went to receive the bar’s complimentary welcome drink, enjoyed a pleasant conversation, and it became a great memory. All of the staff were very attentive, making it a comfortable Accommodation. The price is a little high, but it was well worth it. I heard they have received two Michelin stars for two consecutive years.

    The nights and the spa were amazing.

    The lobby is cozy, and the staff feel more friendly than formal. The meals were wholesome and gentle on the body. The atmosphere changes completely from day to night; the bar at night and the open-air bath in the Room were wonderful, and I was moved by the star-filled sky. The spa treatments were among the best I’ve had in Japan. I’d love to return.

    The space is filled with thoughtful attention to detail, characteristic of the female manager (a very pleasant and highly capable person), creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This was a return visit, and the food remained delightful and delicious! The wine pairing perfectly matched my preferences. The New Year's event was lively and enjoyable, making the stay feel like it flew by in no time. I will definitely visit again!

    A Honeymoon with a Hint of Regret

    First of all, I appreciate the very thoughtful welcome gift from the Hotel. The staff are relatively polite, but their English proficiency when dealing with foreign guests is not very fluent. Overall, there were some points of dissatisfaction during my stay. The Facility's location is quite hidden, and the path leading to it was overgrown with weeds and poorly maintained. There were an astonishing number of reptiles in the hallway leading to the Room, and even the grass outside the Room was barely tended to—hardly what one would expect from a five-star Hotel. Perhaps due to its location on a mountain on an island, the Wi-Fi in my Room was incredibly slow. Even after asking Hotel staff for assistance, they only restarted the router. I was surprised when they suggested using "low data mode on a home network" for better connectivity... Additionally, I reserved a dinner Plan at their renowned restaurant; however, the seasoning of dishes did not even meet breakfast standards and wasted high-quality local ingredients. The foreign staff also lacked sufficient English skills; instead of properly introducing dishes, they simply pointed at them saying "this is this ingredient," which seemed unprofessional for a branch of a Michelin one-star restaurant... Overall, my two-night experience at this Hotel was satisfactory but left much room for improvement as mentioned above. For this price range, there should be better options available elsewhere.

    It was an amazing space!

    The staff's hospitality, the room's ambiance, and the meals—everything was simply exceptional! What left the biggest impression was the dining experience. Dinner was a delight with each dish being a masterpiece, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast was also incredibly delicious and left us completely satisfied! At the poolside, we had a relaxing time enjoying complimentary beer in a serene atmosphere. It’s also a photogenic spot where many guests were seen taking pictures, which was quite memorable. The sunset view was absolutely stunning. We rented an electric bicycle this time to explore part of the island, and it turned out to be an excellent choice as it offered an enjoyable experience that cars cannot provide. However, one piece of advice: for those who are not confident in their leg strength, we highly recommend using "electric bicycles"! Since the hotel is located on top of a hill with several steep slopes along the way, returning would have been challenging with a regular bicycle. Although our stay this time was just for one night, if you want to fully enjoy all that this island has to offer, staying another night would be ideal—it’s truly such an amazing place. We definitely look forward to visiting again!

    A wonderful Hotel with exceptional hospitality

    As a token of gratitude, I gifted my mother a trip to Okinawa. I reserved this hotel with an attached spa for her, as she loves spas and enjoys spending time in quiet surroundings. As mentioned in other reviews, the road leading up to the hotel was bumpy and narrow, which made us a bit anxious. However, since I kept the destination a secret from my mother, she was surprised and said she never expected such a luxurious hotel at the end of that road! It turned out to be an unexpected but wonderful surprise. At the spa, they upgraded our spa room as part of our gratitude trip for my mother—it was truly touching! We felt refreshed and rejuvenated; it was amazing! The summer dress rental service added extra fun as we enjoyed picking out dresses together. We were also lucky with great weather during our stay. From our room, we admired the blue ocean and occasionally spotted wild birds visiting us—it was so relaxing. We watched sunsets by the poolside and gazed at countless stars from our room at night—it was magical. After dinner at the bar, they surprised us with a dessert message plate that left me astonished (in a good way)! My mother loved it too! I am so grateful for being able to spend such precious moments with my mother at this wonderful hotel. The thoughtful message card and small gifts were incredibly heartwarming—thank you so much!

    The hospitality serv...

    The hospitality service and facilities were highly satisfactory, but I would like to share my honest feedback. I chose this hotel to spend a quiet and relaxing time for a special occasion. However, during my 3-night stay, there were groups staying on the upper floor for 2 nights, causing significant noise disturbances. Instead of relaxing, I felt quite stressed. Although I specifically selected an Ocean View Garden Suite Room to enjoy the sea view and relax in the garden, it was ruined when loud conversations lacking decorum began on the balcony above. Additionally, there was severe water leakage from the upper floor onto my balcony. To make matters worse, loud noises persisted throughout the night. Despite requesting assistance from staff members, no improvement was made. For a luxury hotel of this caliber, I believe large groups (possibly corporate trips) should not be accommodated unless they are family groups. Not knowing that large rooms accommodating such groups were located above mine came as quite a shock. Having stayed at various luxury hotels in Okinawa before, this was an unprecedented experience for me. It is disappointing that such an excellent hotel left me with this impression. That said, I am grateful for the courteous response provided by your staff members.

    Excellent dining and service! Everything else is...

    Dinner offers a delightful fusion of French, Japanese, and Okinawan cuisine, making it worth the trip despite the distance from Naha Airport. Breakfast, both Japanese and Western, is carefully prepared and highly satisfying. The staff are exceptionally kind, providing a wonderful and enjoyable dining and service experience. To help this Hotel become a place worth revisiting, I will provide some constructive feedback regarding the guest rooms, baths, and Facility usability: 1. The bath has very low water pressure for both the tub and shower, and only lukewarm water is available, which could lead to health issues during winter. Additionally, there is a gap between the bath and the sink area, causing cold drafts. 2. As many Japanese guests prefer to sit while showering, chairs should be provided in the shower area. Sitting on the edge of the tub felt unsafe as it is not fixed and could tip over. 3. The annex lacks an elevator, making it unsuitable for guests with mobility issues. 4. The TV is difficult to view from both the bed and the daybed due to its placement. 5. The bedside table is very narrow and inconvenient. One side of the bed lacks a table entirely, leaving no space to charge a phone by the pillow during sleep (this could be resolved by simply adding a desk). 6. While the bed is comfortable, it feels average for a Hotel priced over 100,000 yen. It is neither particularly good nor bad, but at this price point, it may be disappointing. Unless the above issues are addressed (even Business Hotels have managed to resolve these), no amount of excellent alcohol, lounge services, souvenirs, or hospitality will satisfy discerning travelers. It is recommended to first provide the basic convenience and comfort expected of a luxury Hotel, and then add value through lounge services and other amenities. Considering the cost performance, my overall rating is 2. I look forward to seeing further improvements in the future.

    Blessed with good weather.

    The sea was calm for most of the 2-night, 3-day stay. The view from the Room was excellent. The sunset and the colors of the evening sky were stunning. Both breakfast and dinner were leisurely and very satisfying.

    It exceeded expectations.

    I was captivated by the handwritten message card. Upon leaving, I was deeply moved to find a "please come back" message and a luxurious hand towel placed in the rental car. The meals were thoughtfully prepared and so delicious that they made me want to visit the main branch in Nishiazabu or the branch in Toyama. (Usually, high-end places focus on marbled beef, but I actually prefer lean cuts, so I was delighted.) It was quiet with few people around, allowing me to truly relax and unwind. I definitely want to come back again!

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

    We visited from Kansai. Our arrival coincided with the day the Tigers won the league, and we were feeling excited during dinner. The Hotel staff noticed this and kindly brought a dessert to our Room with a congratulatory message celebrating the Tigers' victory. Thanks to them, it became an unforgettable experience. I deducted one point only because there was no body cream among the amenities, but it was truly a wonderful Hotel. Thank you very much!

    The road after entering the island is quite difficult to navigate. We finally arrived by following small signs along an unpaved, jungle-like path. The view from the Room faced the poolside, so we ended up closing the sliding door (which was provided). The meals were average. The night sky was stunningly clear and beautiful. Unfortunately, it was disappointing that we couldn't directly access other Facilities (like the spa or large bath).

    Family Summer Vacation and Husband's Birthday

    We stayed for 4 nights and 5 days with a breakfast and dinner included course to celebrate our family summer vacation and my husband's birthday. In advance, we upgraded only the last night's dinner for the birthday celebration, but all other meals were also tailored for Multiple Night Stay guests, offering different menus every time for both breakfast and dinner. It was truly satisfying both visually and gastronomically! The upgraded starlit sushi course on the final night was absolutely amazing! Even our sushi-loving middle school son was extremely happy! I always use this site but this is my first time leaving a comment! It was such a wonderful Hotel that I felt compelled to share. We definitely want to stay here again!

    I had a very comfortable stay.

    This was my first stay. The Room was oceanfront, and I stayed for two nights, having both breakfast and dinner at the Hotel on both days. Although the Room was a lower grade in this Hotel, it had a large sofa and was comfortable for two people. The meals were genuinely delicious for both breakfast and dinner. There are pools in the main building and Aqua area; on the first day, I enjoyed watching the sunset by the main pool, while on the second day, I relaxed comfortably in the sauna and jet bath at Aqua area. On my departure day, due to my flight schedule, I needed to leave the Hotel by 7:30 AM. The staff kindly prepared breakfast fully by 7:00 AM and handled check-out as well as loading luggage into my car smoothly—I am very grateful for their assistance. Despite being in a rush to leave, they even placed towels and a message inside my car—a truly thoughtful service. Next time, I would like to upgrade my Room grade when staying again. Thank you very much!

    Used for the first time on my wife's birthday.

    I stayed at the accommodation to celebrate my wife's birthday. The reviews were excellent, and my expectations were high, but the experience exceeded them. The infinity pool was truly amazing, and the staff's attention to detail and exceptional hospitality made it a luxurious stay. Additionally, I coordinated with the concierge in advance for a surprise for my wife. Their thoughtful suggestions and meticulous arrangements left us deeply impressed. My wife wished to see a starry sky, but as it was difficult due to the bright new moon, the concierge suggested creating a starry sky inside our room using a planetarium projector. My wife was overjoyed by this unexpected surprise of seeing stars indoors. The decorations and other thoughtful gestures were also outstanding, leaving both of us filled with gratitude. To all the staff members including the concierge—thank you so much for your care and support! This has been one of our best stays ever at any accommodation. Although this time we stayed only for one night, we hope to return soon for several days next time. It became an unforgettable day filled with wonderful memories—thank you very much!

    It was a wonderful stay!

    This is our second summer stay. Once again, we had a wonderful experience. We were comforted by the consistent hospitality of the staff, and both dinner and breakfast were of high quality and delicious! The attention to detail in the service was impressive, and as we left the Hotel, my family and I talked about wanting to come back again next year. It’s about a 25-minute drive to Junglia!     The Ultimate Hospitality

    We stayed here for one night during our honeymoon trip to Okinawa. Even though we arrived earlier than expected, the staff kindly greeted us with, "Sorry for not noticing your arrival sooner," even before we got out of the car. Although we hadn't mentioned it was our honeymoon, they prepared a gift for our Room while we were checking in at the front desk, which deeply moved us! The Room was incredibly comfortable and allowed us to relax at ease. When we borrowed dresses and took photos, a staff member kindly offered to take pictures for us by the poolside and entrance area, resulting in many wonderful photos! During dinner, they surprised us with a special treat during dessert time, which made us very happy! At the end of our stay, when they arranged transportation for us, they provided drinks, cooling towels, and a message card in the car. They even waved goodbye until our car was out of sight! The hospitality was truly exceptional; it rejuvenated both body and soul and left us with countless cherished memories. Thank you so much!

    It was a wonderful Hotel beyond imagination.

    I booked the reservation thinking it must be a wonderful hotel based on the reviews, and it exceeded my expectations. Although I felt a bit uneasy on the way to the hotel, stepping inside was like entering a completely different world. Despite being in Okinawa during high season, with fewer rooms available, shared facilities such as the restaurant, pool, and sauna were very calm and relaxing to enjoy. Both the room and shared facilities were impeccably clean. Even though I rarely saw staff members (in a good way), there was no shortage of drinks or towels, allowing us to fully enjoy our stay at any time. Since we enjoyed using the pool and sauna often, we needed to dry our hair frequently; I was thrilled that the room had my dream hairdryer—the Repronizer! The amenities in the room and tableware were locally made in Kouri Island or Okinawa, which I thought was an excellent selection. The service from staff at both reception and restaurants struck a perfect balance—not too intrusive yet warm-hearted—and made us feel very comfortable and happy throughout our stay. Meals were also exceptional; both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. As my husband's birthday was approaching, they celebrated with a dessert plate during dinner as well as thoughtful gifts during turndown service along with a message card—thank you so much for these kind gestures! My husband truly appreciated them. Although it was just one night’s stay, both my husband and I had an incredibly wonderful time. We would love to visit again when we return to Okinawa someday.     The Best Hidden Gem Hotel

    It was our first time staying here. We found it online and thought it looked great, so we stayed for 2 nights as a family of four, and it exceeded our expectations—it was an amazing Hotel. It was also our first time visiting Kouri Island. We drove there by rental car, and while some roads were unpaved, which made us a bit unsure if we were on the right path, this added to the secluded atmosphere and allowed us to enjoy an extraordinary experience. The dinner at the restaurant used Okinawan ingredients and was absolutely delicious. Both the Western-style and Japanese-style breakfasts were simply outstanding. The Room, pool, staff hospitality, and service—everything was perfect. Since it's a small Hotel, there wasn’t much walking around required, allowing us to have a truly relaxing vacation. Thank you very much! We would love to stay again in the future!
