    A Trip to Nasu-Shiobara

    Due to the strong winds the previous day, the Shinkansen started with a delay of about an hour, but otherwise, I was able to enjoy a fulfilling holiday without any issues. The Room, meals, and service were all impeccable. It was so comfortable that I ended up drinking a little too much. I would definitely like to visit again if given the opportunity.

    It was truly a wonderful hideaway for adults.

    Everything was wonderful, making it a memorable stay. The meals were all well-thought-out and delicious, with just the right amount. It was a room where we could stay with our beloved dog, and the staff's hospitality was excellent as they attentively responded to our needs. The room's bath also had a tub for dogs, allowing us to enjoy it with our pet. It would have been perfect if we could have slept together with our dog as well.

    Late-night ramen and our cats are probably our standout features.

    Everything feels well taken care of, and the thoughtful little touches are a nice touch. The in-house Facilities aren’t bad, but they feel somewhat compact. It may come down to personal preference, but it would be nice if the Facilities had a bit more space.

    Does it differ by Room?

    I stayed at Tsuki no Shizuku at the end of the year, but it was different from other Reviews. There is no free beer or fruit in the refrigerator. Only tea and water are available. There is no hair iron among the amenities. It is not all-inclusive. There are no free drinks after dinner, so room service is the only option. Please note that there are no vending machines either! The bath, meals, and staff were wonderful. The dessert at dinner was especially impressively delicious!

    Enjoy Nasu Time

    I visited this property for the first time during my long-awaited vacation. My goal was to relax in the onsen and enjoy delicious meals. I didn't mention anything during check-in, but since it was my birthday month, they upgraded me to a room that was available. The room was spacious, almost too much for a solo stay, with a semi-open-air bath, making it a very memorable experience. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were extremely delicious. During dinner, I had alcohol paired with the meal, and it included a very rare dessert wine at the end. The staff were very warm and accommodating, allowing me to relax and enjoy my stay. Thank you very much.

    Maternity Travel

    We stayed in Room 101 as a maternity trip before childbirth with my husband and our beloved dog. As I am pregnant, I have dietary restrictions, and my husband also has many food aversions, so I believe we had many special requests. Despite this, we were provided with meals that satisfied both our bodies and minds. Of course, our beloved dog was also completely absorbed in finishing his dog food. I often see it introduced on social media with the catchphrase, "A property I don't really want to share because it will become hard to book," and I truly agree. From the moment we arrived until we left, we were able to spend a happy time. I will work hard at my job and raising my child, and I definitely want to visit again.

    I was able to spend my time leisurely.

    I stayed for one night and was well taken care of. It was my first time staying at the Property. The Room's bath was very spacious, and the quality of the spring was excellent, making my skin smooth. The meals were also very delicious, beautifully presented in lovely dishes, and I was extremely satisfied. The staff were friendly, and I was able to relax without feeling tense, which was very nice. I would like to visit again in a different season. Thank you very much.

    The bath and Japanese cuisine are very satisfying.

    It was the most reasonable room, but the bath was very satisfying (more spacious than it looks in the photos). The meal was a mix of Japanese and Italian cuisine? The Japanese food was lightly seasoned but very delicious. The Italian flavors were a bit too complex (a matter of personal preference, as I like simple Italian seasoning). And the dessert was exquisite. Breakfast was also delicious. (I wonder if a different person made the chawanmushi) The washbasin was dimly lit (another property I stayed at this year was the same, is it a trend? It's hard to use). The Wi-Fi had separate SSIDs for each room, which was appreciated. USB charging is available next to the washbasin if you have a cable. There was no table to spread out a laptop. (10-inch size might be okay) There is no shop or vending machine. (To be precise, there are some, but they don't sell souvenirs) The refrigerator contains 4 bottles of water, 2 of tea, 1 of sparkling water, and 1 of barley tea as a complimentary service. There are also packs for hot drinks like coffee and tea. The service was good, but since there are few rooms, there are also few staff, so it's inevitable, but there is a wait for staff in the lobby. One thing that concerned me was the lack of a chain lock on the room door. Maybe this is also because there are few guest rooms... I wrote various things, but basically, it's a recommended stay. (The overall score ended up being around 3.83, but if I were to give just an overall score, it would definitely be over 4) I think it's worth repeating.

    The quality of the Onsen was good.

    It was the smallest room, Room 105, but I was able to relax. The bath was particularly nice, and since it was an open-air bath in the room, I could enter freely many times, and my skin felt better. As the weather gets colder, I think it would be tough to wash your body outside, so I recommend reserving a private bath. I think a semi-open-air bath room would be fine. The meals were also delicious. I felt that each dish was made with care and time. The Japanese food in the wooden box was especially delicious. The rice was cooked in a pot, making it fluffy and allowing me to taste the sweetness of the rice. It was nice to enjoy the pot-cooked rice again for breakfast. If I had to point out a lacking part, it would be the consideration of amenities. The men's amenities were on the washstand, but the women's amenities were in a basket in the closet, making them hard to find, and there was almost no lotion. The tissues also ran out halfway, and I had to add spares myself, or the tissue direction was reversed and didn't come out well. These are small things, but because everything else was good overall, they stood out to me.

    It was a very warm Stays.

    We visited using the vacation for my husband's 30th work anniversary. Needless to say, the wonderful room and cuisine were exceptional, but above all, the warm feelings of everyone at the property were conveyed everywhere, and we were able to spend a very happy time with our dog. Richness is not about having a lot of money or things, but about meeting people with certain feelings and being able to spend time and space with those feelings... This property made me feel that way. Thank you very much.

    This was my first time using the service. I received a prompt response after making the reservation, and they listened to my requests, making it a great property as I had expected. I had mentioned it was a trip for a special occasion, but there was no acknowledgment of that, which left me feeling a bit sad and disappointed. During this trip, I stayed at other properties that acknowledged the special occasion, which made me happy, so perhaps that's why I felt more disappointed here. Other than that, everything was good, so if I have the opportunity again, I would like to stay in a different room.

    The dessert is excellent.

    We stayed as a couple. The onsen was free-flowing, and the temperature was just right, allowing us to relax. However, since there was only a thin board separating us from the next room, we could hear conversations clearly, which was sometimes unsettling. The cuisine was a delightful fusion of Japanese and Italian, offering unexpected discoveries and was very delicious. The highlight was the dessert! While ryokan desserts often consist of melon, cut cake, and ice cream, this was a work of art. Each component was intricately crafted, beautifully presented, and delicious. The disappointing aspect was the room's soundproofing. Even if the bath noise is unavoidable, the poor construction of the window frames allowed us to hear conversations from the neighboring bath clearly. I think this should be improved. Additionally, there seemed to be a dog run, and the barking was quite loud, which was distracting when trying to relax. Those who are not fond of animals should be particularly cautious. Aside from the noise, it was a truly pleasant stay, and I recommend this property.

    Unique and unparalleled

    Second trip to Nasu since June this year. We decided to stay again at "Kagerou no Tsuki," where we had a dream-like time last time. I am writing to express my gratitude once again. Even before the trip, I was already in a dream-like state with the joy of being able to visit this special place again and the joy of meeting the staff again. This time, thanks to the thoughtful gesture of the executive chef, we were welcomed with a special welcome ice cream for our beloved dog. The sparkling gaze of our dog at that moment has become one of the precious memories of the trip. We were also informed that the "Yonaki Ramen," which we couldn't enjoy last time due to its suspension, has been revived. Of course, I was happy about its revival, but I was even more moved that they remembered my strong desire for its return last time. For dinner, we were served teppanyaki in a private Room where our dog could join us. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful and delicious autumn ingredients. I sincerely appreciate the top-notch hospitality that prioritized our dog. My wife was impressed with the autumn dessert crafted with the chef's inspiration. The Room was, needless to say, "perfect." My favorite is the view from the open-air bath. It's a space that cannot be experienced in everyday life. Once again, the warm hospitality healed both my mind and body. I think our next visit will be next year, but we will definitely come again. We are looking forward to the day we can meet the staff again, along with our dog. Thank you for another wonderful and memorable time in our lives. As autumn deepens, please take care of yourself.

    One of the wonderful Stays

    The staff were all very attentive and considerate. The service was excellent and did not feel like a standardized response. Also, the food was delicious and became a memorable part of our enjoyable trip.

    It was very good.

    The Stays was overall wonderful. The decor was nice, and the free drinks during service time and the late-night soba were great ideas to keep guests entertained at the Ryokan. The room was lovely, but I was concerned about the dust on the air conditioner on the bedroom ceiling. Since it's fully visible, it would be nice if such areas were clean. The food was truly amazing! The dessert served at the end of dinner was such a splendid patissier's creation, which is rare to see. Breakfast was also delicious, but since all the flavors were sweet, it would be nice to have some variety. The variety of small dishes was enjoyable and satisfying, and I doubt anyone would be unsatisfied with the volume. As for the bath, the onsen water was so good that I wanted to stay in it for a long time, so it would be perfect if the depth could be adjusted. Currently, you can only adjust by either being fully submerged up to the shoulders or being out of the water, so I wished there was a step at a height where you could sit. Since the room comes with a bath, I would like to enjoy a long soak, so any improvements would be appreciated. The view from the bath was also wonderful, and I had a very comfortable stay. The bathrobe seemed a bit worn out, so it might be time for a replacement. Since there is no parking lot in front of the Stays, you need to cross a busy road and park a little lower. It seems that employees also park there, so I thought it would be nice if there were designated spaces. It's a Stays I would like to visit again. Thank you very much.

    By all means! The best Stays!

    I visited with my elderly father, a 6-month-old puppy, and my husband. Everything was tastefully arranged, spacious, and private, yet not isolated—a luxurious and clean space! The food and staff were excellent! I can only describe it as the best. We splurged on the Accommodation Fee, but the satisfaction exceeded the Accommodation Fee! It seems that a dedicated dog run for this Room is also planned for expansion. Thank you very much for your kind response. We will visit again.

    The day finally arri...

    The day finally arrived, supported by the anticipation of enjoying our stay here after getting through the busy summer season. It suddenly turned cold and unfortunately rained, which was a bit disappointing, but the spaciousness of the suite was just right for our elderly dog to enjoy some exercise. Everything was perfectly catered to our needs. When we mentioned our wedding anniversary during dinner, a message was included with our dessert. We were grateful for this memorable gesture. We indulged in the luxury of doing nothing at a leisurely pace. Thank you very much.
