    Fully satisfied with the Facilities and cuisine—above all, an Accommodation that puts your dog first

    One of the reasons we chose this Accommodation was that our dog can enjoy the Onsen. We filled the included dog bathtub with Onsen water, and without needing shampoo or anything else, his coat became beautifully glossy. Even though he doesn’t usually like baths that much, he wouldn’t get out of the tub (lol). He looked truly comfortable. While more and more places now allow guests to stay with their dogs, I think it’s rare to find an Accommodation where you can enjoy the Onsen together and also savor teppanyaki. I believe that’s only possible because of the host’s “dog-first” philosophy. Unfortunately, it was raining so it was hard to fully enjoy the dog run, but in the private lounge we could relax without worrying about other guests. The staff were attentive to our dog throughout our stay, and they showered him with affection to a level that almost made us feel bad. Thank you very much. We will definitely visit again. P.S. I’m also a cat lover, so I was happy to meet President Goma too (lol).

    We recently stayed for one night at "Kagerou no Tsuki" to celebrate my wife's birthday. The room with a private onsen was incredibly comfortable, offering a quiet and relaxing atmosphere where we could enjoy a luxurious and peaceful time. Both dinner and breakfast were meticulously prepared, with each dish being both visually stunning and delicious, leaving us extremely satisfied. What made the experience even more special was how warmly the staff celebrated my wife's birthday. The beautiful cake and heartfelt gestures truly surprised and delighted her.     We stayed in the Premium Room 101 at "Eternal Accommodation: Private Villa Kagerou no Tsuki" to celebrate my husband's birthday. The room allows pets, providing a comfortable and well-equipped environment for those traveling with their furry companions, which gave us great peace of mind. The lounge offered drinks and light snacks (we could bring our dog along), creating such a delicious and relaxing atmosphere that we ended up staying longer than expected. The room features a private onsen with natural hot spring water flowing directly from the source, as well as a sauna with löyly service, allowing you to unwind luxuriously at your preferred time. From the terrace, you can enjoy views of lush trees and waterfalls—just sitting on the sofa felt incredibly soothing and healing. For dinner, we opted for teppanyaki served in a private dining room reserved for one group per day. The private space even included a chair for our dog so we could dine together comfortably. They also prepared a special teppanyaki course just for our pet! Each dish was meticulously crafted and absolutely delicious, making it an unforgettable experience. The thoughtful hospitality of the owner and manager left a lasting impression; they ensured every moment was pleasant throughout our stay. We were able to celebrate this special occasion in the best possible way, leaving my husband extremely happy. Out of seven rooms available at this accommodation, only two are pet-friendly—so it doesn't feel like an exclusively "pet-focused" place but rather offers luxurious moments shared with your beloved pet in an extraordinary setting.     It was a wonderful anniversary.

    This was my second visit. I loved it so much the first time I stayed, so this time I chose to stay for a special occasion. When I arrived at the accommodation, I was greeted with "Welcome back," and at that moment, I felt glad to have returned. In the bath, little rubber ducks welcomed me, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The food was even more delicious than last time and left me completely satisfied. Although I was already full from dinner, I couldn't resist having the late-night ramen—it was absolutely delicious! I hope to visit again next year.

    A wonderful accommodation with exceptional hospitality from the general manager and their spouse.

    This accommodation was recommended by a colleague who is a dog lover. I heard it was purchased and extensively renovated five years ago, with fewer rooms and particular attention to the furnishings and cutlery in the suite, reflecting excellent taste in welcoming guests. My spouse, our dog, and I relaxed in the living room without needing to use other rooms, but we would love to try a multiple night stay next time. In the suite, there is an exclusive dining kitchen where seasonal ingredients sourced from across the whole country are cooked on an iron plate right before your eyes. With four head chefs in addition to the general manager, they skillfully incorporated these dishes into our course meal. Even our dog, who usually eats chicken breast at home, happily devoured Wagyu beef teppanyaki. The next morning at breakfast, he didn’t touch his chicken breast—perhaps expecting more Wagyu beef after sitting at that table! We apologize for leaving behind such delicious-looking chicken breast that had been prepared for him. The suite also features a private dog run—a delightful facility that allowed us peace of mind given how unexpectedly busy traffic can be on Nasu Highway. Lastly, thank you very much for your thoughtful gestures regarding my wife’s birthday celebration.

    The room and the private open-air bath were excellent (my wife was also very pleased). However, it was disappointing that although we reserved a semi-private kaiseki dining room, we were seated at the bar counter for a side-by-side meal. Breakfast was in a semi-private room though...

    Everything is rated 5, but...

    Thank you for letting me stay in the same room as last time! The renovations were excellent! It would be even better if hair clips or hair caps were included in the amenities (to avoid getting my hair wet when using the room's bath). Other than that, everything is perfect—5 stars all around! I look forward to visiting again in a different season.

    This accommodation is more suited for staying with pets. Dogs and cats freely roam the lobby and lounge areas. While I don’t dislike animals, I was seeking a luxurious and extraordinary space, so it was surprising to see pets walking around the lobby. Upon arriving by car, the entrance was unclear, and it felt like we had to call someone ourselves. The onsen in the room was exceptional and very satisfying. As for meals, as others have mentioned, the seared beef sushi was delicious—I even had seconds! The room service was good overall; however, there were some issues such as dust on wine glasses and cobwebs on the lattice in the room. There’s a significant gap between what’s excellent about this place and what’s disappointing. It’s a compact accommodation that is generally comfortable to stay at.     It was relaxing.

    We were warmly welcomed with thoughtful hospitality and enjoyed a relaxing time. The meals were creatively prepared, and the recommended wine was delicious. Soaking in the bath while listening to the sound of cicadas allowed us to forget the hustle and bustle of daily life. We look forward to visiting several times a year in the future.

    It was an accommodation with high satisfaction.

    Located along a main road, easy to find and arrived without any trouble. When looking for a parking spot in front of the accommodation, valet service parked the car for us. The cleanliness of the facility was impeccable, and check-in as well as guidance to the room were smooth. The staff's courteous service was excellent. Meals were perfectly portioned—not too much or too little—and everything tasted delicious. The private open-air bath in the room exceeded expectations; while many accommodations have baths that appear large in photos but are smaller in reality, this one had a spacious tub where two adults could comfortably soak together. However, while I would love to give it an all-around 5-star rating, there is one point: you cannot adjust the temperature of the open-air bath yourself. It is set at 41°C by default, but since I prefer lukewarm water, I requested it be adjusted to 39°C. It took several hours for the temperature to lower to 39°C, so I ended up using water from the shower next to the tub to cool it down myself. For those who prefer lukewarm water like me, it might be better to specify your desired temperature when making your reservation (note that temperatures may fluctuate slightly between day and night). In short: "A great accommodation." I would love to stay here again!

    We go on an onsen trip every year for our wedding anniversary, and this year we visited in the month of Kagerou. The warm atmosphere greeted us as soon as we entered, and as a couple who loves alcohol, we were delighted to enjoy the complimentary welcome drinks freely. All the meals were delicious, and it was clear that the chef prepared them with great care. Additionally, the staff who served us conveyed their thoughts about the food in their own words rather than using standard phrases, which left a lasting impression.     Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The room's open-air bath featured natural hot spring water with the same quality as that of the Nasu Imperial Villa, and with the addition of a jet bath, we enjoyed a luxurious bathing experience. We traveled with our dog this time, and appreciated being able to check in directly in our room without passing through the lobby. It was also great that we could dine together with our dog in a private dining area for both breakfast and dinner, and even carry our pet into the lounge. These thoughtful accommodations allowed us to fully enjoy every part of the facility stress-free as pet owners. While some pet-friendly accommodations restrict access to lounges or separate dining areas for pets, this hotel's approach made for an incredibly comfortable stay. The private dinner also reflected attention to detail by tailoring dishes based on guests' preferences. If I had one suggestion, it would be that thicker hotel-style bath towels might enhance comfort even further. Additionally, having both yukata and samue available in the room was helpful since I personally find yukata less comfortable to wear.

    Accommodation offering a relaxing and luxurious experience.

    The rainy season began, and unable to go anywhere due to the rain, our trip ended up being spent entirely at this accommodation. However, thanks to that, we were able to fully enjoy the onsen in our room until just before the 11:00 AM checkout time. We often use private rooms with open-air baths, but it was our first time experiencing such a spacious and splendid bath in a room. We stayed as two elderly couples, and everyone was very satisfied.

    The Best Onsen Hotel!!!

    We sincerely thank you for the wonderful hospitality. Thanks to the warm support and thoughtful care of the staff, we were able to spend a truly fulfilling time. The relaxation in the private Onsen, the comfortable bedding in our Room that allowed us to sleep soundly, and each dish served being absolutely exquisite remain vivid in our memory.     We stayed at the accommodation to celebrate my husband's birthday. We received a call right after completing the reservation, which left a good impression. On the day, they prepared a surprise for his birthday. Since it was after dinner, they kindly delivered it to our room so we could enjoy it later at our own pace. Their thoughtful attention was truly appreciated. When there were issues like not being able to watch certain TV programs, they handled it well without showing any frustration despite being busy. Thank you for seeing us off with smiles until the very end! This time, we stayed in the most affordable room and expected it to be small; however: - The mattress was so thin that you could feel the springs when touching it by hand, and sometimes made noise when turning over during sleep—making comfort less than ideal. - Due to an outdoor bath with fencing installed for privacy, there was no view and barely any sky visible from the room—it felt dark overall. - There were no notepads or pens provided in the room, which made jotting down quick notes inconvenient. Even though this was their least expensive option at over 80,000 yen per night for two people, I honestly felt that this price did not match what we experienced in terms of accommodation quality. That said: - The grilled beef sushi served during dinner was absolutely delicious! - Breakfast featuring freshly cooked rice and handmade tofu tasted wonderful as well—with plenty of side dishes available too.     Full of points to laugh at.

    There were many disappointing points. I received a call to check the reservation and was asked a question, so I mentioned it was my birthday, but nothing special was said, and the call ended. At dinner, we were seated and then left unattended. We had to call out to place our drink orders. There was no explanation about the appetizers, and when explanations were given later, they seemed uncertain or inadequate. Plates were placed carelessly, and I almost tripped when someone stepped on my slippers from behind—overall an unsettling experience due to unpolished service. Breakfast service also felt off as tea was served at odd timings. The open-air bath in the room lacked privacy as voices from next door could be heard clearly, making it hard to relax. Additionally, I reported that the soap dispenser in the bathroom wasn’t working; however, no replacement was provided throughout our stay. I had high expectations based on good reviews but ended up disappointed with this accommodation experience.

    Since our stay with our dog in March 2023, we have visited multiple times and are always grateful for the kind hospitality of the owner and staff. With such a comfortable experience, returning feels only natural. The room is spacious, and it’s evident that improvements, such as updated lighting, are continuously being made. The newly added dog run and complimentary drink room are especially delightful for guests with dogs (I was so impressed I forgot to take photos). Needless to say, the meals surpass the standard of a typical ryokan. Additionally, you remembered a family member's birthday and presented us with a beautiful bouquet of flowers.     The hospitality is exceptional.

    In a prior email, I mentioned that my child was looking forward to meeting the cat, Goma-chan. You went above and beyond to create plenty of opportunities for them to interact. From snack time for Goma-chan, photo sessions, lending us a cat toy for playtime, and more—my child thoroughly enjoyed their time with Goma-chan and was absolutely delighted. They already want to visit again soon. Also, being able to watch Netflix in the Room was a wonderful bonus. We enjoyed watching our favorite shows on the big screen. Thank you so much! The late-night ramen was delicious too!

    Recommended Accommodations

    My husband and I visited during our birthday month, along with our beloved dog. The room was pet-friendly, yet there was no odor or even a single strand of hair—truly impressive! All the staff greeted us with kind smiles and exceptional hospitality, making our stay very comfortable. The meals were diverse and delicious, and we were surprised with a wonderful birthday treat that left us deeply touched throughout our stay at this accommodation! The massage chair in the room had just been replaced with a brand-new model—it was amazing! Especially for the lower back area—it felt incredible! In summary, everything was perfect! If I had to point out one downside, it would be that the optional teppanyaki dinner was quite pricey (understandable given rising costs). That said, both the lobster itself and its sauce were absolutely delicious. Breakfast also offered a variety of tasty options—so satisfying! Oh, and even our dog got to enjoy an onsen bath; they seemed so relaxed afterward. The dryer provided for pets worked so well that we wanted one for ourselves at home!     Used for my wife's birthday trip.

    The cuisine, the staff's service, and hospitality were excellent. I am truly grateful for the surprise dessert prepared for my birthday. I stayed in Room 104, but it might be a bit small for its price range. If you want space to stretch out other than on the bed, I recommend choosing a different room. Also, it was a bit disappointing that we could only use one of the private baths once; as someone who likes to enjoy Onsen multiple times during a stay at an Onsen Property, this was a downside. The noise in the room's bath made it slightly difficult to relax. Nevertheless, thanks to everyone's warm hospitality and smiles, I had a relaxing time and it turned out to be a wonderful birthday trip. Thank you very much.
