    Focus on Aesthetics

I chose this accommodation for a 1-night, 2-day stay based on its good reviews. Upon arrival, the bellboy at the front desk offered to assist with my luggage. However, the help was limited to carrying it just a few meters from the front desk to the elevator, with no guidance to the room itself, which was disappointing. The room was reasonably clean and equipped with basic necessities for a short stay. The outdoor bath did not fully utilize its location and seemed more focused on appearance. The design left some doubts about its capacity and functionality. The most disappointing aspect was dinner. Although it started at the same time for everyone, dishes were brought out before I had finished eating previous ones. The local ingredients were not well-utilized, portions were very small, and overall it was unsatisfying. To make matters worse, I felt rushed as they brought me the bill before I had even finished my meal. At checkout, I accidentally left something at the front desk but had to call later to arrange delivery via cash-on-delivery service. It would have been nice if they could have immediately returned it instead of waiting for me to contact them—another letdown in service. While I won’t be staying here again personally, considering its price range, it might be suitable for university group trips or young families (though dining outside is recommended). Thank you.

    It was excellent.

I used this place to celebrate my partner's birthday! The dinner was delicious, and since we were too full to eat the dessert and birthday plate served at the end of the course, the staff kindly delivered it to our Room. They also took several photos of us, and a young female staff member provided excellent service, which made my partner very happy. The guest Room was clean, and the open-air bath was fantastic. By paying an additional fee, we were able to extend our checkout time to 12:00 PM and enjoy a relaxing morning. The Facility's bar had its last order at 9:30 PM and closed by 10:00 PM. We wanted to visit after dinner but couldn't make it in time—wish it stayed open until around 11:00 PM. During dinner, I noticed a male staff member serving two women at the table next to us. When they said they would serve themselves from their pot rice dish, he mentioned bringing bowls but didn’t return with them even after about 10 minutes; he just stood near the kitchen area instead. Another female staff member eventually noticed that no bowls had been brought out and handled it instead—it felt a bit awkward overall. For us personally though, we had wonderful staff attending us throughout our stay!

    Stayed for one night...

Stayed for one night on a Friday-Saturday trip with friends. The interior is modern, with greenery and cleanliness throughout. The room was no exception. As for the Onsen, the public bath was surprisingly small. There was no indoor bath, only a very small outdoor bath, which was unexpected. The outdoor bath had floating cypress chips, giving it a questionable appearance as an Onsen... Our room had an open-air bath attached, but it was also quite small—barely enough for two people to fit in together. Additionally, depending on the angle, it seemed like it could be visible from neighboring houses (though I trust in the morals of nearby residents that this wouldn’t happen; however, if someone used binoculars... well...). The meals were delicious overall; however, some dishes served during both dinner and breakfast were not hot enough and felt lukewarm at times. That said, all staff members were professional and polite—there wasn’t anyone whose service felt off or uncomfortable during our stay. This is definitely a high point worth mentioning! One of my friends particularly loved the place—the modern mix of Japanese-Western design gave her inspiration for her dream home’s interior style! Since we usually have differing rankings when comparing Onsen accommodations we’ve visited together before, I believe this accommodation might appeal greatly to certain individuals as others have mentioned too. To be honest though—it’s not exactly inexpensive here—and I feel there’s room for improvement in terms of meals and Onsen facilities given its price point. It feels like they’re almost there but just missing something essential… For this price range specifically—I think you could find more fulfilling accommodations elsewhere instead! It seems more suited towards younger guests overall in my opinion.

    I love this Hotel!

We revisited the accommodation where we stayed for the first time as a couple, now for our first trip after getting married. The towel art of cranes was absolutely beautiful! My husband is currently recovering from an illness and using crutches, but the staff kindly opened doors for us and even offered to arrange breakfast in a private room. Their hospitality was truly heartwarming and greatly appreciated. We enjoyed our time together with welcome drinks, sachet-making activities, and relaxing in the room's private bath. Everything about this hotel—the atmosphere, the rooms, the food, and especially the staff—was wonderful, making us love it even more. It was hard to leave, but we promised each other that we would definitely come back again!

This was my first time staying here. The staff's excellent and smooth service during check-in made a great impression. There were various services available, and I had an enjoyable time within the facility. I was personally surprised that coffee milk was freely available in the large public bath! The breakfast was delicious, and I would love to stay here again when I visit Atami next time!

    I had a relaxing stay.

The entire building is clean and comfortable, making for a pleasant stay. The staff provides attentive service with just the right amount of distance, allowing guests to relax without feeling pressured. From the room I stayed in, I could see the sunrise over the ocean, which was a wonderful way to start the day. Additionally, during a Multiple Night Stay, cleaning times often need to be considered; however, at SOKI Atami, they ask for your preferred cleaning time during check-in so you can enjoy your room even during daytime hours without worry. Both breakfast and dinner are served in portions that are just right—perfectly enjoyable even for older guests. While many of the guests appeared to be young couples, this Accommodation is suitable for people of all ages to enjoy. I would love to visit again if given the chance and would recommend it to friends visiting Atami!

The bath was great, but I felt there is significant room for improvement in other areas.

This accommodation seems to cater primarily to younger guests, with both the clientele and staff being predominantly young, which likely meets the needs of that demographic. I stayed in a suite room this time. While the amenities and towels provided in the room were minimal, additional items could be requested from the front desk and were delivered promptly, which was helpful. The onsen bath in the room had excellent water quality and a great view, making it very comfortable. The room had a narrow layout with a shower room leading to an indoor bath and an open-air bath. However, while the indoor bath was made of fine cypress wood, it was not an onsen bath, leaving me wondering if it was necessary at all. The meals seemed more focused on performance than taste overall. Both dinner and breakfast were served at the restaurant; while it felt open and spacious, there wasn’t much sense of privacy. Some guests dined in private rooms depending on their plan. For dinner, I enjoyed the main meat dish but found myself expecting higher-quality dishes overall—it fell short of my expectations. Dinner started at 7:30 PM as scheduled; dishes were brought out one after another so that by 8:30 PM most courses were finished—towards the end we ate while watching staff clean up around us. As for drinks, there was a selection of local sake available; however, I found one aged sake I tried to be disappointing in taste. Red wine options by glass only included Japanese varieties but left much room for improvement as well—I couldn’t finish either drink due to dissatisfaction. Service felt mechanical without leaving much positive impression—there wasn’t much guidance during check-in beyond being told "call us if you have questions," resulting in frequent calls due to unclear information throughout my stay. At night when insects appeared inside my room requiring assistance handling them—the response seemed inexperienced leading toward difficulty resolving issues properly causing sleeplessness overnight yet no apology followed next morning afterward unfortunately reflecting poorly upon service standards here despite enjoying baths themselves greatly otherwise overall satisfaction fell below expectations especially considering staying within suite aiming special memorable experience unmet instead suggesting potential improvements designing plans better aligning guest desires alternatively acknowledging perhaps targeting younger audience mismatched personal preferences learning valuable lesson meantime nonetheless

    A wonderful space!

I was delighted to visit this accommodation that I had been curious about for a long time. Since I don't have a car, I often give up on trips due to transportation issues, but SOKI ATAMI's convenient access from the station and the ability to explore tourist spots by bus were great. The space and Onsen were truly amazing. Having a private bath in the room made my stay even more enjoyable. The quiet and serene atmosphere was refreshing for someone like me who lives in the city, where silence is rare, allowing me to relax completely. The meals were delicious, and the welcome drink served at just the right timing was also appreciated. I would love to stay here again!

    The meals were disappointing.

The facility and staff service were satisfactory, but the meals were disappointing. Since it was an accommodation by the sea, I expected local seafood, but there was a lot of river fish, and the grilled fish served in the morning was cold. Additionally, this is just my personal opinion, but I don't think game dishes are necessary at a seaside accommodation. This is my honest feedback, though opinions may vary.

I stayed for one night and two days. The Room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Late at night, I realized I didn't have chopsticks, so I called the front desk. They responded immediately and kindly brought them in a paper bag, which was very helpful. The staff were friendly and created a warm atmosphere; they even greeted me when we shared the elevator, making it a heartwarming experience. I would love to stay here again when I visit Atami next time. Thank you very much!

An accommodation filled with simplicity and hospitality

We stayed at the accommodation with our child. The welcome tea, including both the tea and sweets, was incredibly delicious and soothing. We appreciated that the bar time in the evening was child-friendly (though we couldn't visit this time, we look forward to it next time). The overall dim lighting in the facility created a calm atmosphere. The simplicity without unnecessary items made it very comfortable to stay. The temperature of the room bath was slightly on the hotter side. Our 3-year-old son enjoyed making sachets, which we thought was a great activity. Dinner consisted of healthy dishes and was highly satisfying. Since we were with a child, being guided to a private room was very helpful. Additionally, they kindly accommodated requests such as lending us a charger, showcasing their excellent hospitality throughout our stay. This is an accommodation we'd love to visit again!

    Breakfast Hours

Breakfast time was scheduled at 9:30 AM, but we were informed that the buffet space closes at 10:15 AM and seating is available until 10:30 AM, making it a rushed breakfast. There was no coffee in the Room or elsewhere, so we couldn't enjoy a morning coffee. Disappointing.

    I might not stay again.

The accommodation, which utilizes nature, had a standard feel overall. I requested suitcase delivery at the reception upon checkout, but later realized I was overcharged when I checked the fee myself. When I contacted them about it, the response was very poor. It was very disappointing. Having lost trust in this place, I will not stay here again. I hope improvements are made. It's unfortunate that our enjoyable girls' trip ended on such a sour note.

    A comfortable Hotel.

Upon arriving in the rain and stepping out of the taxi, the staff kindly offered an umbrella—thank you for your thoughtful hospitality. The room was very clean, and both the towels and amenities were pleasant to use. Although I only had breakfast, there was a buffet available, and the care put into the dishes allowed me to enjoy my meal with peace of mind. Above all, every staff member greeted me with a smile, making my stay truly enjoyable—thank you very much!

We booked 2 Rooms for our family of 5 to celebrate our daughter's success. While there was a congratulatory message card in the Room, there were no direct words, flowers, or complimentary items. The IKYU Diamond benefits were applied to only one Room. Amenities were minimal and seemed to follow a concept of not exceeding expectations unless additional options are purchased. I would suggest the management conduct market research considering the price range raises certain expectations. Dinner had a great atmosphere, with delicious dishes that highlighted the quality of fish and meat ingredients. The presentation was beautiful, making it enjoyable visually as well. We used the lounge before and after dinner; while the ambiance was pleasant, we were told that there were no assortments of sweets due to restocking. It would have been nice if alternatives had been provided. The public bath was very small and lacked uniqueness. However, the hinoki bath in our Room was spacious and very relaxing—it seemed like this might be their main feature. Breakfast was served buffet-style but limited to 60 minutes (I couldn't focus on taste due to time constraints). Personally, I would rate this Hotel with 3 stars; however, I believe opinions may vary depending on individual experiences during their stay.

A comfortable and wonderful Hotel you'll want to visit again.

The meals focused on local production for local consumption and incorporated healthy ingredients. Even the tea was delicious. Among various accommodations, this is a nearly perfect hotel with no negative points. The staff were lively and provided excellent service. If there’s one suggestion, being near the sea, incorporating more seafood could make it a perfect hotel.

    Modern

A modernly designed Hotel. Clean, quiet, and relaxing. We stayed as a three-generation family. However, for my parents in their 80s, the Room had steps, and the Facility overall, including the large public bath, was dimly lit, making it challenging to use safely. It might be more suitable for younger couples. For the price, the meals were not particularly outstanding in taste but were beautifully presented.

A property I want to visit again

I used Soki Atami for my first trip. I chose a Plan with breakfast, and I was happy to eat splendid alfonsino in the morning. The Room was clean and calm, with no complaints. I was able to enjoy a welcome drink and make a sachet, making it a perfect one-night stay. The Hotel staff were very kind and responded quickly to any questions. It's a Hotel you should stay at least once in your life.

    I enjoyed it, but...

This was my first time staying here. There were many young people in their 20s, and it felt lively and restless in various ways. However, it was a very well-thought-out property with wonderful comfort, but I also felt that the balance with the accommodation fee was not good, which was disappointing and a bit of a waste. The mold on the ceiling on the first floor and the stains on the ceiling in the room, as well as the aging of the facility, were noticeable. Also, the noise from the room next door and the room above was concerning. The room was barrier-free with flooring and tatami, and the bed and bath were compactly arranged, making the room's layout very comfortable and easy to spend time in. The thoughtful touches, such as the tea, room snacks, and amenities, were all tasteful and well-stocked, allowing for a relaxing time in the room. However, while the staff at the front desk and restaurant were polite, they lacked warmth and feeling, and overall, it seemed that the focus was on showing off with style and appearance, which made the important aspects feel superficial. The lounge space and time with the welcome tea service were impressive! David's performance in the lounge and his style of hospitality enhanced the feeling of being on a trip and made the start of the SOKI time feel pleasant. The food had a limited number of dishes, and the drinks were also limited in variety, and the menu was not designed to be enjoyed with the food, just expensive. I feel that even at properties with higher accommodation fees than here, there is not such a high price and quantity. The half-buffet breakfast was very good, but the grilled kinmedai fish was soaked in water and seemed to be boiled rather than grilled, which was disappointing for a main dish. After dinner, you could choose coffee, but the breakfast coffee was not temperature-controlled and was lukewarm. I hope to visit again someday.

We stayed for one night with two meals included. The food was very delicious, and the menu explanations were thorough, allowing us to have a very enjoyable time. We had a set meal for breakfast, but it was unfortunate that we were not informed that drinks, yudofu, medicinal curry, and other buffet-style dishes were available, so we could only have a little at the end (the curry was very delicious). The guest room and bar were comfortable, creating a very pleasant space where you could feel at ease anywhere inside. I would like to visit again.

I would love to stay again!

To heal the fatigue of this year, I stayed with a friend for two nights and three days. The calm, museum-like atmosphere from the entrance heightened my expectations, and the room was simple, stylish, and had a pleasant fragrance... just as expected. I felt relaxed and rejuvenated. The welcome drink and sweets were delicious, but the evening view from the 8th floor was spectacular. Breakfast was also delicious and hearty. I ate too much, so it turned into brunch (lol). I liked the cookies placed in the room so much that I bought some on the way back. I wish there were more in quantity for souvenirs. Since it's in a quiet location, it was a bit challenging to call a taxi for sightseeing and meals without a car, but overall, I was satisfied! The staff's service was pleasant, and it was a very lovely property. I would love to visit again!

The space, atmosphere, and service were extremely satisfying. It was my first trip to Atami, and I was confused by the many Stays available, but I'm glad I chose this one. I want to visit again. It had a Japanese taste, but with modern beauty and cleanliness, it was excellent.

Quiet and beautiful. The staff's service is wonderful.

My wife and I stayed for one night and two days. The hotel, located on a quiet hill, was a stark contrast to the bustling Atami Station. When we arrived by car, it was raining, but a staff member kindly brought an umbrella to welcome us. Check-in was smooth. The room was surprisingly spacious. We chose a room with a semi-open-air bath, and everything felt clean. The hotel's bath was small but truly clean and pleasant. The service of cold water and coffee milk (in a bottle) after bathing was excellent. The welcome drink was served by a foreign staff member who spoke to us in Japanese and complimented my wife's skirt. My wife responded in broken English, looking satisfied. We enjoyed the in-room dinner and breakfast at the dining area, leaving us full. We, as seniors, were satisfied, and I believe young people would surely find happiness at this hotel. Thank you very much to all the staff.
