Escape the everyday hustle and bustle at a quiet Hotel.

With its simple design and calming atmosphere, this Accommodation is recommended for restoring both body and mind. In particular, the Japanese and herbal tea lounge on the 8th floor lets you blend Japanese tea with herbal ingredients yourself, place them into a tea bag, and enjoy a wellness tea while relaxing music plays—an experience that left us fully satisfied.

An Unforgettable Escape from the Ordinary

I stayed here to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. The Room and meals were even better than they looked in the photos. The support, including help with preparing a surprise, was perfect, and she was very happy. I’d love to stay again if I have the chance.

Deeply impressed by the thoughtful attention to detail

I stayed here with my daughter on a mother-daughter trip. From check-in, the female staff member was very courteous and welcoming. The Room was clean, modern, and simple—very comfortable to spend time in. The OSAJI-scented amenities also felt like a perfect match for the atmosphere. At dinner, I mentioned that my daughter wasn’t feeling well and didn’t think she could eat. They kindly adjusted the timing and even brought her meal up to our Room. Thanks to that, once she started feeling better, she was able to enjoy it deliciously, and we are truly grateful. I had visited before in winter, so this time I was able to enjoy summer flavors with a different charm. The touch of bitterness added a wonderful accent and gave the dishes great depth. With such thoughtful attention and polite service from the staff, this is an Accommodation I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    Two consecutive months

I stayed here with a friend in May and solo in June. The atmosphere is beautifully consistent, and it’s effortlessly soothing. You can feel that only what’s truly necessary has been carefully selected and thoughtfully prepared. This is just my personal view, but because I travel abroad for work so often, I deliberately choose train trips within Japan—yet when I meet overseas guests during Hotel service, it inevitably reminds me of work. Here, I didn’t encounter any overseas guests. Every staff member I met was calm and kind, adding warmth to my stay. This is truly my favorite place to stay. I may end up visiting again before the season changes.

    Overall, it’s a wond...

Overall, it’s a wonderful Ryokan and I would stay again, but I’d like to note a few concerns. - There is little sense of seasonality in the in-house Facility or the cuisine. - Everything looks similar no matter which way you go, so it’s easy to get lost. - The large public bath is small and feels too plain. - The Room amenities are insufficient (e.g., no hairbrush). - The meal service felt inexperienced: dishes were cleared even while we were still eating; we weren’t asked if we wanted more rice from the remaining pot; and even after finishing our drinks, we weren’t asked if we wanted another. - The terrace bath can be seen from the apartment building across the street due to the distance and angle.

Perfect score for the cleanliness of the Facility.

I chose this title because the large public bath has only one tub, no sauna, and no view at all. A large public bath should be a place to soothe your body after a day of travel, but it was so plain that it almost felt like staying at a Business Hotel. The meals were very delicious and I was satisfied, but it was very disappointing that there were no other Facilities to enjoy besides dining. On social media it looks like an amazing Hotel, but the gap between expectation and reality is too great, so I will not return.

We had a relaxing and leisurely stay.

I wanted to stay at an Accommodation with an ocean view! I also wanted to relax and unwind in a Room with a private open-air bath! While searching with those conditions, I found SOKI and stayed there this time. It was an even more wonderful Accommodation than I expected, and we were able to spend two very happy days! We used the Anniversary Plan, so we received a bouquet of flowers and champagne, and even cake service at night—making it a truly special memory. We requested a gateau chocolat cake, and it was moist, not overly sweet, and absolutely delicious—we finished it in no time between the two of us. Breakfast was also excellent: centered around delicious dried alfonsino (kinmedai), we enjoyed a variety of healthy, carefully prepared dishes and were completely satisfied. From check-in to check-out, all the staff provided very courteous service, and we had an extremely pleasant stay. We would love to visit again.

    あたみ!!

The interior is stylish, but the food is underwhelming.

All the Facilities were modern and lovely, and the coffee milk service at the large public bath was a nice touch. The open-air bath in the Room was also very relaxing. The tea sweets in the Room were delicious as well. However, the meals… The tableware used for serving was beautiful. Since we stayed two nights, I assumed the first night’s dinner was based on a “healthy” concept, but the flavors were bland, and it wasn’t to the point where you could say they were relying on high-quality ingredients either. The bonito had a strong odor and was inedible without soy sauce, so I even asked for soy sauce despite feeling it might be rude. The Saikyo-style grilled fish seemed to be cooked over an irori hearth (?)—a thick cut with only a thin layer of miso on the surface—so inside it was dry, bland, and lacking moisture. (The vegetables were tasty.) At breakfast, the dried kinmedai (splendid alfonsino) was completely cold. Perhaps because it’s grilled with far-infrared heat, it was cooked through but the skin wasn’t crisp and felt sticky instead; as a result, scales came off as-is into my mouth, which was extremely unpleasant. I understand that seasoning is largely a matter of personal preference so I tried to accept that part, but I really couldn’t overlook being served cold dried fish along with scales still attached. On the second night, I appreciated that the menu changed completely from the first night. The second night’s meal tasted better. That said, both the interior setting throughout the property and the staff service were excellent, so we were able to relax as intended. However, considering this price range—especially given our experience with dining—I don’t think overall satisfaction is particularly high.

    25th Wedding Anniversary Celebration

On our first trip to Atami, we stayed here to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and my wife’s birthday. Since it was during Golden Week, we expected it might be too crowded to relax, but we were able to enjoy an extraordinary experience in every way. The staff’s hospitality was excellent, and everything—from the Onsen and the room design to the aroma throughout the building and the comfortable feel of the samue loungewear—helped us truly unwind. If we hadn’t had plans for the next day, we would have loved to stay longer. We hope to stay again sometime soon. Thank you very much.

    Room mirror

The Room itself was good, but I think it could be even better with the following two improvements: It might be better to keep the full-length mirror out of sight. For older guests, a slightly higher bed may be easier to use. Given the Hotel’s location, it would be even better if alcoholic beverages were added to the vending machines on the 3rd floor.

Perfect accommodation for a serene and mature getaway

We stayed for two nights at the beginning of the year. The entire accommodation, including its exterior, had a serene and refined atmosphere, allowing us to relax and unwind from the hectic pace of returning to our hometown during the New Year holidays. Our family of five—my wife and three children (ages 6, 3, and 0)—stayed here. Although we were initially concerned about disturbing other guests, we were guided to a private dining room separated by walls for meals. This setup allowed us to enjoy our time together without worrying about noise or prying eyes while having conversations over delicious food. The meals featured seasonal dishes that changed over the two days of our stay. The attention to detail extended even to the tableware, which seemed carefully chosen in line with SOKI's hotel name. Each dish felt fresh and delightful as we savored it one by one. The private open-air onsen was another highlight; its temperature was automatically maintained at an ideal level throughout our stay, making it enjoyable even late at night or early in the morning. The spacious bath comfortably accommodated all five of us together—a memorable experience for our family. As for the building itself, its design left a lasting impression on us with meticulous attention paid to every detail—perhaps unsurprising given that it has won recognition from Japan's Spatial Design Awards: - A high-ceilinged entrance featuring softly designed exposed concrete finishes and sleek automatic floor-level doors - A courtyard surrounded by elegant eaves showcasing beautiful wood wool boards beneath them - Seasonal changes reflected in views of the central courtyard - Exposed concrete walls with precise board-form patterns - Charred cedar exterior walls - Delicate wooden latticework along shared corridors - Calm guestroom interiors where equipment is discreetly hidden These are just some examples among countless others. While there’s so much more I’d like to share about this accommodation, words alone cannot do justice—it’s best experienced firsthand! It’s truly a place I would love to visit again someday.

    Restaurant...

The service at the restaurant was very disappointing. A staff member, who seemed foreign and older, spoke casually without any polite language. While we were enjoying our meal leisurely and still had more than half of the fish left, they tried to clear it away. When we said, "We are still eating," they responded with, "Oh? You're still eating?" It felt as though they were rushing us to finish. Additionally, when serving the final dish of kamameshi rice, they asked other guests if they'd like a photo but simply opened the lid for us and walked away quickly. This gave us the impression that they wanted us to leave soon. We had been looking forward to this meal so much but ended up losing our appetite due to such poor service. It turned what should have been an enjoyable time into a very unpleasant experience. That being said, everything else—the Room, bath facilities, and service from other staff—was excellent. However, this unfortunate incident left a negative impression on our stay overall. We hope improvements can be made in this regard for future guests' experiences.

    Spent New Year's Eve here.

I spent New Year's Eve here. The staff provided pleasant service, which was great. The Room had an unusual layout, and only one bed had a view of the TV, so I couldn't relax and watch the New Year's programs comfortably, which was disappointing. The splendid kinki fish served at breakfast was cold and overly greasy, making it difficult to finish.

This is among the top 3 places I have ever stayed.

The building, room, private open-air bath, large public bath, and meals were all wonderful. Especially the seasonal dishes made with local ingredients and the open-air bath were highly satisfying. Since we stayed as a group of three, we appreciated the use of a sofa bed. We would love to stay here again!

    A Highly Satisfying Stay

We stayed at the accommodation to relax as a couple. The room was clean and had a great atmosphere, and the large bath with floating oranges was semi-open-air, providing a relaxing experience. We would definitely like to stay again.

    It was absolutely wonderful!

I had such a comfortable stay that I decided to post a review. We visited as a family with our 1.5-year-old son. I highly recommend this accommodation for those traveling with small children. The first thing I want to highlight is the excellent service from the staff. Everyone was friendly and greeted us with smiles, making our stay very pleasant. The cleanliness of the room (and the entire facility) was outstanding! It was so spotless that finding dust would have been more challenging! The transparency of the onsen water!! Our family enjoyed soaking in the beautiful onsen multiple times. The meals were also delightful. If I had to point out one downside, it would be that there was a remote control for adjusting the temperature in the open-air bath, but we couldn't figure out how to use it. This accommodation made me want to visit again. Thank you to all the staff!

    Future use is unlikely.

Upon arrival at 17:20, we were told to go directly to the restaurant without even checking in. This seems to be for the hotel's convenience. The meal served was different from what was introduced during the Reservation (instead of seasonal fish like kinmedai, it was sanma rice, which can easily be made at home). For breakfast, although kinmedai dried fish was served, it was cold and disappointing. Even though we were told breakfast would be available until 10:30, cleanup started after 10:00, making it difficult to enjoy a relaxed meal. The Onsen in the Room had a dirty bathtub; when filled with water, debris floated on the surface. We will never visit again.

It was my second time, and it was amazing again.

This was our second stay. Since we planned to eat a lot at Atami Station during lunch, we opted for a reservation with breakfast only, which turned out to be the right choice. In the evening, we bought snacks and drinks from a nearby store (about a 5-minute walk) and enjoyed them at the bar on the 8th floor, so dinner wasn't necessary. The breakfast included a set meal with a large fish and various self-serve options that left us very satisfied. The onsen was relatively empty, allowing for almost private use. The room's private hinoki onsen bath was wonderful, and we used it multiple times. The room also offered an ocean view. We would love to visit again! We stayed as three people; one person used the sofa bed, but it had been thoughtfully prepared as a proper bed for us—thank you very much!

It was a wonderful accommodation full of hospitality!

The staff's warm smiles and attentive service were truly exceptional. We stayed to celebrate our grandchild's first birthday, and it became a wonderful memory for us. During meals, the staff kindly asked if they could wash our grandchild's baby food dishes, which was a thoughtful gesture that we greatly appreciated. The Room, as well as the large public bath and the entire facility, had a calm atmosphere and were impeccably clean. In the Room, our grandchild happily crawled around and enjoyed standing up while holding onto things. The floor where we received welcome drinks and snacks was so inviting that we wanted to stay there longer. Stepping out onto the terrace from there offered breathtaking views of the sea and cityscape. Although the weather wasn't ideal during our visit, I can only imagine how stunning it would be on a clear day. Additionally, an international staff member warmly referred to our grandchild as "little one," which made us smile even more. The sachet-making activity was also enjoyable! Thank you to all the staff members for making our stay so special!

    Family Trip

I stayed with my husband and my daughter and her spouse. We met at the front desk, went to our room, relaxed in the large public onsen, and enjoyed complimentary coffee milk and bottled water from the refrigerator after bathing. Then we had dinner. Since there were four of us, we dined in a private room where we could enjoy our meal without worrying about others. The food was delicious, and we had a great time together. The room was spacious with a dining table and chairs for four people to sit comfortably, as well as a sofa where we played card games and spent quality time together. The private open-air onsen in the room allowed us to enjoy hot springs multiple times during our stay. The amenities were excellent, especially the shampoo and conditioner which were outstanding. All staff members who assisted us were very polite and attentive, making our stay highly satisfying. As we had golf planned for the next day early in the morning, it was convenient that breakfast started at 7 AM so we could enjoy it leisurely before heading out. Next time I would love to visit again for a more relaxed stay! It was such an excellent accommodation that even my daughter and her spouse were delighted; I felt truly happy about making this reservation myself! Thank you so much for your hospitality—I am deeply grateful!

The cost does not match the services provided.

The accommodation for two people was approximately 100,000 yen. Indeed, the view was nice, but similar views can be seen at most hotels in Atami. As for the meals... the bonito was full of tough fibers and impossible to chew. A sake tasting set of three small cups cost 3,300 yen—just for small cups? The pricing seems unreasonable. For breakfast, we had to eat in a very cramped space and were told, "It's crowded, so please finish within an hour." Overall, it was disappointing.

The food, staff, and accommodation are all excellent!

The meals were absolutely delicious! Not only were they tasty, but the dishes included a well-balanced selection of meat, fish, and vegetables, making them both satisfying and health-conscious. The staff were kind and engaging, making my stay very comfortable. The Room was clean, and the amenities were excellent. It was a Hotel worth more than its price—thank you!

Perfect for special occasions, an ultra-luxury Hotel

I used this Hotel for my husband's birthday surprise. It was the most expensive Hotel stay of my life, but I have no regrets. The space was clean, modern, and stylishly designed—truly a sophisticated atmosphere. The Room was spacious, and all the lighting was indirect, making it very relaxing. What left the biggest impression on me was the private bath in the Room; the scent of cypress wood was amazing! The staff were polite and provided excellent service. The food was also incredibly delicious. On our way home, we talked about how we’d love to come back again! One downside is that being close to a forest means there are many insects outside—I was startled by a large centipede! However, since the Hotel itself is very clean, it wasn’t an issue at all.

    Focus on Aesthetics

I chose this accommodation for a 1-night, 2-day stay based on its good reviews. Upon arrival, the bellboy at the front desk offered to assist with my luggage. However, the help was limited to carrying it just a few meters from the front desk to the elevator, with no guidance to the room itself, which was disappointing. The room was reasonably clean and equipped with basic necessities for a short stay. The outdoor bath did not fully utilize its location and seemed more focused on appearance. The design left some doubts about its capacity and functionality. The most disappointing aspect was dinner. Although it started at the same time for everyone, dishes were brought out before I had finished eating previous ones. The local ingredients were not well-utilized, portions were very small, and overall it was unsatisfying. To make matters worse, I felt rushed as they brought me the bill before I had even finished my meal. At checkout, I accidentally left something at the front desk but had to call later to arrange delivery via cash-on-delivery service. It would have been nice if they could have immediately returned it instead of waiting for me to contact them—another letdown in service. While I won’t be staying here again personally, considering its price range, it might be suitable for university group trips or young families (though dining outside is recommended). Thank you.

    It was excellent.

I used this place to celebrate my partner's birthday! The dinner was delicious, and since we were too full to eat the dessert and birthday plate served at the end of the course, the staff kindly delivered it to our Room. They also took several photos of us, and a young female staff member provided excellent service, which made my partner very happy. The guest Room was clean, and the open-air bath was fantastic. By paying an additional fee, we were able to extend our checkout time to 12:00 PM and enjoy a relaxing morning. The Facility's bar had its last order at 9:30 PM and closed by 10:00 PM. We wanted to visit after dinner but couldn't make it in time—wish it stayed open until around 11:00 PM. During dinner, I noticed a male staff member serving two women at the table next to us. When they said they would serve themselves from their pot rice dish, he mentioned bringing bowls but didn’t return with them even after about 10 minutes; he just stood near the kitchen area instead. Another female staff member eventually noticed that no bowls had been brought out and handled it instead—it felt a bit awkward overall. For us personally though, we had wonderful staff attending us throughout our stay!
