    The spatial design is excellent.

    The room's spatial design was excellent, allowing for a relaxing stay. I would love to visit again. The meals were carefully prepared and satisfying, though not exceptionally outstanding. I hope the selection of glass wine can be expanded. The bath exclusively for accommodation guests was too far, so in the morning, I used the shared bath with day-use visitors. It was comfortable as it wasn’t crowded in the morning, but I wonder how it would be during busy times. Perhaps my high expectations made me notice minor details more than usual.

    The Onsen water is excellent.

    A very nice accommodation, but the service was disappointing. The amenities provided were also underwhelming. When asked if I needed an explanation of the room, it felt unnecessary, and I wasn't informed about the location of the bath until I specifically inquired. The amenities were similar to those used in love hotels or business hotels. The bath is also open to the public as a general sento (public bath), and there were women with tattoos present. Nowadays, even golf courses provide high-quality items like ReFa or Dyson dryers and cosmetics, so it felt like a missed opportunity considering this price point and such a lovely accommodation. The front desk staff did not greet guests upon arrival or say "Good morning" when leaving in the morning. They seemed young and kind but lacked energy and proper training, which was unfortunate. I made my reservation through IKYU.com but did not receive the complimentary wine bottle at checkout as mentioned. While the bathwater and accommodation itself were clean, such service makes me question whether cleaning is thoroughly managed. I sincerely hope this becomes an excellent accommodation in every aspect moving forward.

    Three days indulging in Onsen and delicious cuisine.

    The meals, Room, and bath were excellent. We stayed for two nights and were very satisfied with the dinner and breakfast, both of which were thoughtfully prepared in terms of presentation and taste. The staff's hospitality was also impeccable. However, the lighting in the Room was generally dim. If a system allowing adjustable brightness could be introduced in the bathroom for makeup and the living area for reading, it would make the stay even more comfortable. We had a very relaxing three days and felt refreshed. Thanks to this experience, we gained energy to get through the peak summer season. Thank you very much!

    Wonderful & Inspiring

    This is our second visit since our first stay in December 2023. By the way, this is my wife's fourth visit. The welcome, the welcome drink service, and the guidance to the Room are all very courteous. This time, I noticed a few staff members with beginner marks on their uniforms. Despite being nervous, they were very polite and seemed to be doing their best. It shows that great effort is put into training staff here. The private bath in the Room is exceptional—it's a completely different experience compared to winter! For dinner, not only was the food excellent but also the service from the staff was outstanding. Most of the other guests were quiet and respectful, making for a very pleasant dining experience. Breakfast was equally impressive with an abundant variety of dishes that you can enjoy from early morning. Both my parents and my wife's parents absolutely love this place! It would be perfect for celebrating birthdays or special occasions as well. As an adult's hidden retreat, this Ryokan is definitely worth visiting at least once—I highly recommend it!

    We stayed for two ni...

    We stayed for two nights to celebrate my mother's 94th birthday, and both of us were extremely satisfied. My mother, an onsen enthusiast, has stayed at countless onsen ryokans, but she said, "The cuisine at Seiryukan is the best I've ever had." The quality of the onsen, room design, attention to every detail, and the staff's hospitality were all exceptional.

    Excellent Accommodation

    I had been wanting to stay here since the COVID-19 period, and I finally made it. The room was spacious and modern, allowing me to relax comfortably. The hot spring quality was excellent, leaving my skin smooth. The bath in the room was quite hot, so it took some time before I could get in. The room felt a bit dim, so it would be nice if the lighting could be adjusted for brightness. At 2:30 AM, I woke up to use the restroom and noticed a very strong odor that surprised me. It didn’t happen before or after that moment, so I’m curious about what caused it. Meals were absolutely satisfying for both dinner and breakfast. The abalone and shark fin were exceptional in taste. There were plenty of side dishes; sashimi was cut thickly for full enjoyment; and as someone who doesn’t eat much meat, being served nodoguro fish instead showed outstanding hospitality. However, they cleared away dishes immediately after eating without giving time to savor the experience... It would have been better if they waited a little longer. Although going to the bath at the neighboring accommodation is slightly inconvenient, the open-air bath is breathtakingly beautiful and can be enjoyed peacefully during less crowded times. Overall amenities in the room could be more comprehensive for added comfort. Towels are well-prepared with about four sets provided for two people—more than sufficient. This is an accommodation I’d love to visit again!

    A hidden retreat nes...

    A hidden retreat nestled in the mountains. Each room comes with its own bath, which is already delightful, but there are also three other types of baths to enjoy, keeping you pleasantly busy. Although it is located in a somewhat remote area and some guests may get lost on their way, the indoor attire provided allows for comfortable movement within the accommodation without feeling cold. One unique feature is the availability of stylish photo books and picture books that you might not usually purchase yourself, which can be freely enjoyed during your stay. When departing early in the morning without breakfast, freshly baked bread was kindly offered as a takeaway gift—a thoughtful gesture especially appreciated after long hours of driving.

    Delicious meals

    It was a quiet and relaxing stay at the accommodation in the mountains. The large public bath was a bit far from Seiryukan, which was slightly inconvenient (though we were aware of this). However, we were satisfied with the private onsen in our room. The meals were very delicious. At checkout, the staff seemed tired and lacked smiles, possibly due to being short-staffed.

    Next is autumn.

    Previously, it was just the two of us staying, but this time we were joined by my sister and aunt. The facility, service, and cuisine were all confidently presented, but their satisfaction and joy far exceeded expectations. The conversation became lively with excitement about returning again, and we made our next reservation before checking out. Next time will be during the autumn foliage season.     Frequent repeat guest

    I live in Morioka, and my elderly mother’s greatest joy is visiting an Onsen. Since traveling far is difficult for her, we have used this accommodation multiple times as it’s conveniently located nearby. This time, we stayed to celebrate my mother’s 95th birthday. Thank you for the special dessert you provided for the occasion. Having an Onsen in the room is very helpful for elderly guests. The room itself was spacious, luxurious, and very satisfying. If I may suggest one improvement: since this is a luxury Ryokan, it would be nice if the restaurant had more partitions or private spaces to create a sense of privacy during meals. The current setup feels like a communal dining hall where all guests sit together, which detracts from the otherwise luxurious atmosphere. While I understand this arrangement might be convenient for staff service, it feels slightly disappointing given how wonderful the kaiseki cuisine is. Overall though, we were very satisfied and will return again if we have another opportunity. Thank you!

    The food is absolutely delicious.

    It had been a while since my last stay, but as expected, the food was absolutely delicious. I choose to stay here because I want to enjoy the dishes prepared by your chef. However, despite the wonderful meals and lovely room, the level of service was disappointing. I did not feel any sense of hospitality. Since this accommodation is different from others nearby, I hope for service that matches its standards. During breakfast, there were staff members who provided proper service. I would like to visit again, so I would be happy if improvements could be made.

    We visited for a lon...

    We visited for a long-awaited couple's trip while our child was away at a camp. Unfortunately, due to heavy snowfall, the bullet train was delayed, and we couldn't take advantage of early check-in. It would have been nice to receive some considerate words from the accommodation staff in such situations, but it seemed they weren't very attentive to transportation updates. Even the main building staff appeared unaware of the disruptions, which left a slightly negative impression. The onsen exceeded expectations with its excellent water quality and abundant flow, making for an incredibly relaxing experience. The meals were also outstanding—both dinner and breakfast were delicious and possibly the best we've had among accommodations we've stayed at recently. As for areas of improvement: as mentioned earlier, it would be great if there were more drink and snack options in the lounge during evening hours. Additionally, during checkout time, there was only one staff member handling guests despite having two counters available. It might be better to assign another staff member during busy times or call for assistance when several guests are waiting. Overall though, we had an extremely satisfying stay. We hope to visit again as a couple or with our entire family once our child is older!

    I had a relaxing stay.

    The room was spacious, the view was excellent, and I had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. For those who may have difficulty with stairs or carrying luggage, it might be better to choose a room on the first floor instead of the second. I was initially concerned about the reviews regarding meals, but despite not having private dining rooms, there was ample distance between tables. The dishes made with local ingredients were perfectly portioned and very delicious. While the room's bath was nice, the open-air bath in the large public bath area—though a bit far—was absolutely amazing. Perhaps it felt even more special because it was right after heavy snowfall followed by clear weather; I could have stayed in there forever! I might consider staying here again just for that experience. It’s unfortunate that there don’t seem to be rooms available for three people since I’d love to bring my family next time. Hanamaki Onsen has many accommodations with open-air baths in every room and great hot springs water quality; however, New Hanamaki Station lacks even a New Days convenience store. If it were at least like Kitakami Station, I could bring my family along more easily! With fixed-rate taxis available from New Hanamaki Station, I hope they can improve this situation soon! Perhaps because of this issue? It seems like most guests are from nearby prefectures.

    Enjoyed the snow-viewing bath, but...

    It was my first trip to Hanamaki Onsen, and I thoroughly enjoyed the snowy scenery. As introduced on the website and social media, the facility was excellent. Although it was -3°C outside, the room was very warm and comfortable. However, my satisfaction with the service was low. The staff in charge of explaining the room and serving meals seemed inexperienced. This might not reflect the overall service of the ryokan, but as it stands now, I personally feel I wouldn't revisit. It pains me to write such a review, but since the facility is outstanding, I believe improving service quality would make this a truly exceptional ryokan.

    The room was excellent.

    I stayed at Yama no Kami Onsen for 2 nights and 3 days. On the first day, I stayed at Yukaan, and on the second day, I stayed at Seiryukan. The room with a semi-open-air bath was excellent. However, the breakfast and dinner were served in the same venue, which felt a bit crowded with guests, making it less relaxing. Perhaps due to high expectations, the taste of the meals was just average. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Thank you very much!

    It was a relaxing Stays.

    The service was not excessive and maintained a comfortable distance, which was nice. The meal portions were large for us who drink alcohol, leaving us quite full. The marbled meat was delicious, but the sesame shabu-shabu was too spicy, so we requested ponzu sauce. They kindly accommodated our sudden request. In the lounge, the wine service was very appreciated, but after the meal, we were too full to enjoy it. When we finally felt ready to drink wine and went to the lounge, the service had ended, which was disappointing. The snack bar at the neighboring Yukaen was also closed, so it would be nice if the wine service could be extended a bit longer. The Room and bath were very relaxing spaces, and we would like to stay again in a different season.

    I stayed at the Prop...

    I stayed at the Property during my trip to Tohoku. Although I checked in late, I was grateful for the quick response and was able to have dinner immediately. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent in taste and presentation. It was a bit disappointing that the bath was a little far and the Onsen Facility was not available in the morning. However, the Room was spacious and I was very satisfied. Thank you very much.

    Couple Who Loves Onsen Ryokan

    This time, I visited during the autumn foliage season. The Facility, Onsen, and Room environment were satisfactory. However, the meal was already served on the table from the start, which was a bit disappointing. The taste wasn't bad, though. Also, the case for the breakfast dishes was tall, making it difficult to see the food inside. The salad leaves were also large, making it hard to eat. Furthermore, the hospitality was strict. Communication was poor, and they couldn't properly respond to our questions. We were told to take our luggage from the car ourselves. There was no farewell greeting when we left. Nonetheless, please aim for improvement.

    A very nice Onsen Ryokan

    The Room features a natural hot spring cypress bath, allowing you to soak in the water anytime throughout the day. While baths attached to Rooms are often perceived as small, this bath is spaciously designed, allowing for a very relaxing experience. The silky water and semi-open-air bath provided healing for both the mind and body. The staff's service was also excellent, and I would love to visit again.

    Smooth and slippery

    The bathtub in the room was filled with silky onsen water that made my skin smooth, and I was very satisfied as I could take a bath multiple times. I stayed for two nights, but I wished there was a bit more creativity in the dinner and breakfast menus. I would like to stay again if I have the chance, so I hope for improvements in the meals.

    I really liked this very nice Stays.

    The other day, I stayed for one night and two days. Many of the employees had a beginner's mark on their nameplates, but they all responded earnestly and were very pleasant. The room was very clean, and I was very satisfied because it had an Onsen with free-flowing hot spring water. The quality of the Onsen was very good, and even after returning from the trip, my skin was smooth. I also used the bath in the annex (main building?), but since I had to walk a bit, I used Nagomi no Yu, which is also available for the general public. This was also an open-air bath where I could relax, and it was very nice. At night, there is wine in the lounge, so you can have a light drink. It was truly a satisfying trip. Thank you very much.

    Thank you for a wonderful time.

    The room was lovely and I wanted to enjoy it more, but the Onsen was so pleasant that I was busy trying out the three baths and the room bath, and one day was not enough. The person who guided us at the beginning was very nice.

    The water temperature is GOOD!!

    I visited in early October on a relative's recommendation. Checked in around 6 PM when it was already dark. Took a bath in the room before dinner. The Onsen water flowed luxuriously, creating a lavish feeling. The texture of the cypress wood was soft to the touch. After warming up and feeling relaxed, I headed to dinner. The ingredients and cooking brought out the flavors, each aroma was just right, conveying care, and the portion was sufficient for someone in their fifties, with elegant dishes. After dinner, I went to the two outdoor Onsen baths. Happened to have them all to myself. The sound of the stream was audible, the temperature was not too cold, and the water was slightly lukewarm, just right for a long soak. The larger outdoor bath had large stones embedded here and there, which might be dangerous for the elderly. The smaller bath might be safer for the elderly. Returned to the room, lay down, and when I started to cool down, went back to the room's bath. Repeated this process. With each repetition, the feel of the water became more familiar to my body. Coffee and small ice creams are available 24 hours in the lounge, so I used it once at night. In the morning, checked the morning outdoor Onsen. The morning was also not too cold, just right. The scenery was natural and unforced. Returned to the room, drank coffee while idly sitting on the terrace. When it got a bit chilly, took a dip in the room's bath. When warmed up, cooled off on the balcony. Repeated this process. Breakfast was also sufficient. With an 11 AM checkout, I took another bath until then. In the end, including the outdoor baths, did I soak more than 10 times? The Onsen left a lasting impression. It's an Onsen I want to visit again.

    A place I want to visit many times.

    The hot springs, meals, hospitality, room, and amenities... wonderful! Since we stayed for consecutive nights, it was great to be able to enjoy the silky smooth hot springs multiple times. If it were closer to our home, it would be a hotel we'd want to visit every month. However, we will visit again, so thank you in advance. Thank you for the happy time.

    A relaxing adult inn

    It was a lovely inn. Overall, the chic and calming Japanese-modern interior felt adult-oriented, and the same goes for the guest rooms. I found the room layout to be user-friendly and well thought out. All the staff had pleasant smiles and were very attentive. The quality of the hot spring water was excellent, and I took a bath four times during my one-day stay. The meals, both breakfast and dinner, were delicious and visually colorful. However, there were just two points I found a bit disappointing. One was that there were no bath stools in the bathing area. (When I asked the front desk, they provided one.) The other was that the beer in the refrigerator was only the commonly available nationwide brands, with no local beer. I wanted to enjoy a local beer after the bath. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful inn that I would love to visit again.
