Second visit, satisfied once again.
I had always thought of it as a luxury to enjoy close to home and hoped to visit again someday, and unexpectedly, I was able to revisit. The inn, the building with the front desk, the interior decor, and the townscape all have charm. I chose a different building from last time, but I liked this one as well. Traveling with a child who has food allergies often makes meals a concern, but they accommodated us willingly here, which was greatly appreciated. Moreover, instead of just providing a simple exclusion meal, they prepared a proper half-course meal, allowing us to enjoy a wonderful dinner together as a family. Unfortunately, the weather was not favorable both last time and this time, so we were almost unable to explore the town. I definitely want to use this place again and hope to do some proper sightseeing next time.

I was able to spend a relaxing time in the traditional Japanese house.
I stayed at the AOI building. Since it was a whole building rental, I was able to relax while enjoying the view of the garden. The room's refrigerator was stocked with sparkling wine, red wine, white wine, sake, beer, and soft drinks, so I could sit on the porch and enjoy them at leisure. It takes about 8 minutes to walk to the restaurant building, but I think it's nice to take a leisurely walk along the river through the town of Sawara. I walked there in a yukata for dinner. In the morning, there were many high school students commuting to school, so I changed clothes before going. If you wish, you can be picked up and dropped off by car. The meals were French cuisine using local ingredients, and every dish was delicious.

Thanks to you, it turned out to be a very satisfying and wonderful trip. All the staff members are young, but they are very refreshing and have wonderful smiles, which really lifts your spirits. They explain everything carefully and many of them are attentive to details. I'm looking forward to the growth of the staff in the future. The meals were fermented dishes that paired well with sake, and they were delicious with sufficient portions. The steak at dinner, in particular, was one of the most delicious fillets I've had in recent years. They paired it with unpasteurized sake, which matched perfectly, and I was very satisfied. Also, there are two sake breweries right near the front desk, which was perfect for our group of sake lovers. The room we stayed in was a renovated maisonette from a warehouse, and it was cleaner and more private than expected. However, since it was a warehouse, there were naturally no windows in the bedroom area, making it hard to tell when morning arrived, but the sense of privacy was strong, and we were able to spend our time comfortably. We liked it so much that we want to use other NIPPONIA locations, and we've already made a reservation. However, we also want to visit here again in the future. The access by express bus from Tokyo is convenient, and I think it would be nice to invite a few friends next time. Thank you very much.
