    Overall, I was mostly satisfied, but…

    This was my second stay in several years. The Reviews are still consistently high, and I was very satisfied with the stay overall. What disappointed me was dinner. We booked a two-meal Plan and made a 5:00 PM dinner Reservation, but because it was early, we were the only guests. In the completely quiet dining room, we could continuously hear staff speaking sharply to someone. It bothered me so much that it ruined what would have been an excellent meal. I understand there may be times when staff need to correct something for work reasons, but I wish it had been done somewhere out of earshot. It left me feeling uncomfortable.

    We were thrilled with this wonderful Room!!

    This was my second stay, and the Room was even more wonderful than before. The amenities were well stocked, and the large public bath was truly relaxing. I enjoyed delicious meals—eel for lunch and sushi for dinner. The front desk staff were excellent, and I had a very pleasant stay. Thank you very much. I have already made a Reservation for my next visit as well. I look forward to staying with you again.

    Second Stay

    I stayed here previously with my daughter and had a wonderful experience, so this time we stayed as a family of three. We were satisfied with both the location and the breakfast. This time I also used the large public bath, which helped relieve the fatigue from our trip. I had always used Brighton Hotel as my regular Hotel, but at this price, with this quality and location, I think this Accommodation is the better choice. When we visit Kyoto again, we would like to stay here again.

    Again.

    Because I enjoyed the breakfast-and-lunch Plan last time, I stayed again on the same Plan this time. Since this Plan includes breakfast and I’m not a fan of buffet breakfasts, I’ve been wishing there were a lunch-and-dinner Plan instead. Personally, I’d like to spend that time relaxing until check-out. This time as well, I felt it was a consistently good Hotel in many respects. Lastly, thank you for kindly addressing my feedback. - After check-out, I realized that I was not given a receipt for the Accommodation Tax.

    You’ll want to come back again and again.

    I first visited after a friend recommended it, loved it, and this is my third stay. The food is delicious, the staff are kind, and above all it’s a clean and comfortable Hotel. It makes me want to come back again and again. I plan to visit in winter as well. Thank you.

    First-Time Accommodation

    I have visited Kyoto many times and stayed at various Accommodations, and this was excellent. I would like to stay again. The price was reasonable with dinner and breakfast included, and the bath was spacious, which was great. I thought it would have been even better if the shop on the first floor had offered something a bit more appealing at an affordable price. It was a Hotel that truly made me want to stay again. Thank you very much.

    It was comfortable.

    After several schedule changes, I was finally able to stay with the Plan I couldn’t make before. I wish I had come sooner. The staff were very pleasant, and I had a comfortable stay. Both the eel restaurant for lunch and the breakfast were even better than expected—everything was delicious, and I was very satisfied. The Room was also clean and comfortable.     I’m a returning guest!

    Thank you as always! This is our fifth stay! We love Sankyu’s sushi for dinner, the Room is spacious and clean, breakfast is delicious, and everything is reasonably priced—we’re very satisfied! We’ll definitely be back again! We also recommend it to everyone at our company!

    Comfortable.

    This was my third stay. There is a large public bath, and the bathtub in the Room is also spacious, so you can relax comfortably. The bath chair is higher as well, and my elderly mother said it was easy to use. The meals are great, and there is a wide variety of drinks. The Room is spacious and clean, with all amenities provided, so you can feel at ease. This is a Hotel I would like to stay at again.

    I was able to spend the whole day just inside the property.

    I arrived earlier than planned, had lunch at the sushi restaurant on the 2nd floor, and then checked in. The lobby and elevator hall had a lovely atmosphere, with just the right level of brightness. The Room was clean and smelled nice. I really appreciated that the key card slot already had a card inserted in advance so the air conditioning could be adjusted—there was no damp feeling when I entered, which was great. The Room was also very clean, with plenty of outlets, making it ideal for business use as well. It was convenient that I could go to the large public bath in room wear. Towels were provided at the bath too, so I enjoyed it twice—after check-in and again at night. I also received a 1,000-yen coupon usable inside the Hotel, and I could even use it for souvenirs at a Japanese sweets shop, so I was able to buy gifts for almost nothing. It was a very comfortable Hotel.

    Always the best!

    We were very satisfied again—thank you for taking such great care of us. This time, five friends made a Reservation for two Rooms, and when we asked to change it to 2 guests and 3 guests plus two toddlers, you kindly accommodated the change. All the staff were very friendly. There is also a large public bath, the Rooms are clean, and even with two meals included it is very affordable. For weekday stays, we received a ¥1,000 coupon per person, and we always stop by Iori on the 1st floor for parfaits and other treats before heading home. It can also be used for beer at dinner, which makes it an excellent deal. The rooftop terrace was also very pleasant. The location is one stop from JR Kyoto Station, and there is also a Keihan bus from the Hotel. If you get a ticket at the front desk, you can ride to in front of The Thousand Kyoto near Kyoto Station for ¥100, which is very convenient. We will definitely stay again. Thank you very much.

    Exceptional hospitality

    A very good Hotel

    This was my first stay. I chose a plan that included a lunch voucher and a morning buffet. It turned out to be an excellent choice. At the restaurant on the Hotel’s second floor, I thoroughly enjoyed eel. This year is said to be a great year for eel, and the eel in Kyoto was plump, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The Hotel is new and very clean. The service is also attentive. Breakfast offered a great selection of obanzai dishes, and they were incredibly tasty as well. From now on, whenever I travel to Kyoto, I’ve decided to stay here again. I even made another Reservation for December. That’s how good it was. Thank you very much.

    This is my second st...

    This is my second stay. The property and the Room are clean and spacious, and I like it because I can relax comfortably. If you go to the large public bath later in the evening, there are fewer people and you can enjoy it in a calm atmosphere. The breakfast buffet doesn’t have a standout main dish, but there are many Japanese options and everything is delicious. I was able to eat at a leisurely pace. I would definitely like to stay again.

    The Gozan Okuribi Bonfire Festival

    We were delighted to be able to watch the Gozan Okuribi from the observation terrace deck, and we had a wonderful time with the obanzai breakfast and the fragrance in the front lobby. This is a Hotel we would love to stay at again!

    Excellent location, delicious breakfast buffet, comfortable Room, and a fantastic bath.

    Great location and convenient for getting anywhere. It’s easy to get around by train from Umekoji-Nishi Station. Trains are the best way to sightsee in Kyoto. The breakfast buffet was delicious across the board, and we were very satisfied. Having a large public bath is a real plus—it helped us relax and recover from fatigue, making it ideal for trips with friends or family. The staff were also wonderful. One concern: the smell from the smoking area near the elevator going up from the first floor to the front desk was unpleasant, and I hope something can be done about it. We always stay here when visiting Nara and Kyoto.

    Delicious food and a clean environment.

    This was my second stay, following my previous visit. The Room was clean, the meals were delicious, and I had a wonderful time. I was disappointed that the Japanese restaurant I enjoyed last time had closed. I also like the bath facilities because they are clean and towels are provided, but perhaps because it was a weekend, it was very crowded. The staff were very kind and made me feel welcome. Thank you very much. I will visit again.

    It was comfortable and enjoyable!

    We stayed for two nights in a Japanese-Western style Room with three adults and two children. The Room was spacious, and we even played hide-and-seek with the kids. The layout between the tatami area and the beds was just right, so we could relax and talk after the children fell asleep. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The bath was also excellent! The rooftop terrace was wonderful. It’s a bit far, but we could see the Shinkansen, and there were benches too—it felt great. From the Room window, we could watch people working at the market coming and going, which gave us plenty to talk about with the kids in the morning. There was also a market tour Facility right near the Hotel, which made our morning conversations even more interesting after visiting. We could also walk to both the aquarium and the railway museum. Since it was extremely hot in Kyoto and we had small children with us, we were able to enjoy a very comfortable trip without overdoing it.

    Convenient transportation access.

    As a Diamond member, I stayed here while visiting Otani Hombyo. If you use the Keihan Railway, the Keihan bus fare to the Hotel is ¥100, and it’s also ¥100 when departing from the Hotel. It’s worth taking advantage of this.\nThe sushi-chain kaiseki dinner felt like a good value with abalone included. With the ¥2,000 voucher, I used it for beer and a Hibiki whisky on the rocks.\nThe Room was clean and comfortable. There are also other cuisine options for dinner. I would stay again.

    Very good

    The Room bath was spacious, and the large public bath was clean and very nice. I wish there had been a few more hair dryers in the large public bath. The food was delicious, with a good variety to choose from. It would be helpful to have a few more kid-friendly dishes. This is a Hotel I’d definitely like to stay at again! Thank you very much.

    Recommended for guests traveling with babies.

    We stayed for one night with breakfast and dinner included, as two adults and one 4-month-old baby. Traveling with a baby made us a little anxious at first, but we were able to spend our time very comfortably. A regular-size baby crib was prepared in our Room, which was reassuring since our baby has started rolling over and could sleep safely with plenty of space. Baby soap was also provided in the bath, which helped us pack lighter. A bouncer was available at the dinner venue, and our child stayed happy throughout. They also served the dishes a little earlier for us, so we could enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace as a family. For breakfast, the same buffet was available at both venues, which made it easy to avoid crowds. There was a wide variety of dishes, all delicious—we were very satisfied. Thanks to the warm hospitality of all the staff, we felt at ease staying with a baby. We would love to return as a family.

    It’s a very beautifu...

    It’s a very beautiful Hotel. We made a Reservation for one night with lunch and breakfast included. We chose the yakiniku set meal for lunch that day. It was great to have options like Sankyu Sushi and Unagi Senri. We also received a weekday-only ¥1,000 coupon, and used it to order room service at night (onigiri rice balls and meat udon). The bath was spacious, so we could relax and enjoy it. We’re happy with the current Plan, but we’d love to see more Plan combinations, such as a one-night stay with lunch and dinner included, or a one-night stay with dinner only. The service was excellent—this is a Hotel we’d like to visit again.

    It was excellent. I would like to stay again.

    We stayed here on a family trip. We were satisfied with everything: the clean and spacious Room, the large public bath, the delicious breakfast, and the front desk staff. It was great that we could go to the large public bath in our loungewear, and that towels were provided there as well. There was also a convenience store right next door, and the restaurant on the second floor was excellent. Before our stay we were a bit worried about the location, but it turned out to be unfounded. It’s close to the JR station and very convenient. Having an aquarium and a railway museum nearby was also great for families. Perhaps because it’s near the market area, we could arrange a taxi via an app within 1–2 minutes. This is a Hotel we would definitely like to stay at again.

    Good Hotel

    It was in a great location, right next to Kyoto Aquarium and the Railway Museum, and just one stop from Kyoto Station. The Room was spacious, the Facility was new, and the large public bath was also excellent. I would like to stay here again when visiting the area around Kyoto Station.

    It was a truly wonderful trip.

    It was a wonderful trip—100% perfect. Of course, I would 100% recommend it to friends and acquaintances. The Room had an ocean view, and it felt like looking at a painted seascape. I requested Japanese-style meals, and everything was truly satisfying. The bath was great, the meals were great, the amenities were well stocked, and the Room was excellent. Since I informed you in advance that I have a disability, I was also able to park properly in the Hotel parking lot. It really was 100%. Thank you very much. This became a memorable trip, and I’m truly happy about it. I hope to visit again someday. Thank you again very much.

    Room Only (No Meals Included)

    I didn’t have time to use the large public bath and just took a shower, so I’d like to use the public bath next time. I bought a drink and relaxed on the observation terrace while enjoying the sunset. It would have been even better if drinks were available for purchase on the rooftop. It wasn’t too hot, and spending time watching the sunset was wonderful. We stayed without meals and ate at nearby restaurants, so I can’t comment on Emion’s dining options. Since it’s close to the station, I think traveling by train rather than by car is more convenient. There were many international guests as well, but we were able to relax during our one-night stay from Sunday to Monday.

    A Hotel I’d Love to Visit Again

    The Japanese-style dinner included in the Plan was incredibly delicious, and I was very satisfied to be able to enjoy it at this price. Breakfast was also tasty, and the staff were kind and quick to notice when plates were empty. The Hotel itself was very clean, and since I stayed on a weekday, I received a 2,000-yen coupon that I was able to use at the souvenir shop on the second floor on my way out. It’s rare for me to find a Hotel that makes me want to come back, but I would definitely like to stay here again next time. At check-in, nothing was mentioned about my car parked in the affiliated parking lot, so I had to ask again later, but they handled it kindly.

    Dinner with Yusho

    Stayed to enjoy Yusho’s chef’s choice dinner course. The unique menu blending Osaka and Kyoto was a delight. The ingredients were fresh, and the tableware and small details were thoughtfully curated—it’s a shame the business will close in July. The front desk staff were kind. The large public bath was quiet when I went early, so it was comfortable. Breakfast offered many side dishes, and the grilled fish was delicious. It was disappointing that Osaka TV channels weren’t available. It was also disappointing that the washbasin bowl had noticeable grime and looked overly shiny/dirty. Still, I could relax even in a small Room with only a shower booth. A Hotel with great value for money.

    Dinner at Yusho was delicious.

    This was my second stay. One disappointment was that, even at many Business Hotels these days, you can enjoy welcome drinks such as coffee or juice after check-in, which is relaxing—but there was nothing like that here. The Room was clean, but the washbasin area was small and not very convenient to use. This time I booked a Plan with a choice of dinner and selected the Japanese set meal at Yusho. I decided right away because I had enjoyed lunch there before. The food was delicious. I was able to enjoy a Japanese kaiseki dinner at a relaxed pace in a comfortable private room with a pleasant atmosphere, so I was very satisfied with dinner. The Hotel breakfast was average. The front desk service felt somewhat businesslike. The large public bath also had a sauna and was nice, but at night there were times when it got crowded and there weren’t enough washing stations. Overall, given the location, this Hotel has many families with children and international guests. It seems like good value for money.
