There is nothing to complain about.

The review was almost 5, so I made a reservation. This property exceeds expectations. There is nothing to complain about. It's expensive, but worth the price. It's worth visiting.

    An adult retreat

The entrance gate had a simple feel, but once inside, the high ceiling provided a sense of openness. We were only given directions to the room and told to go ahead, so we had to carry our own luggage up a few steps. A little assistance would have been appreciated. It was quiet since there were no children under 12 staying. The lounge offered free alcohol and snacks, but some snacks were not replenished, so they were gone even before the 4 PM check-in. The food was delicious for both breakfast and dinner. You can choose the main dish and the final rice dish individually. Sharing allowed us to enjoy a variety of dishes. There are two free private baths, which are semi-open-air, but the view seemed to be under construction or being cleared. A bear-repelling bell is provided.

It was worth the long distance, but I had some dissatisfaction with the service.

I visited here to spend a quiet and peaceful holiday. The room at Ten no Za was spacious yet practical, allowing me to stay without any stress. - The open-air bath in the room is a round tub that can comfortably fit one adult. I was able to enjoy nature without worrying about being seen, accompanied by the chorus of frogs in the pond right in front. - The facility has various ingenious features that keep you entertained. I enjoyed the playful touches for adults. There is a coffee maker in the lobby, and cold bottled water is available everywhere. In the post-bath area, depending on the time, there are beer, chuhai, small ice creams, lactic acid drinks, milk, and some Akita snacks. In the gathering area, also depending on the time, there are sake and beer servers, tea, and small desserts. You can choose your yukata, and there are various pillows in the hallway leading to the bath, with vending machines on the opposite side. - Large and medium baths. Although they are on a rotation system, the size difference is significant. The large bath has a big indoor bath and an open-air bath down the stairs. The medium bath has only three single-person round tubs in the open-air bath, so you can't stay long. Both baths have a variety of slightly nicer shampoo and conditioner sets at the entrance, which is a nice touch. - Dining venue. Each has a private room with a calm atmosphere. The serving staff are all very good at conversation and maintain a comfortable distance. Above all, the food is delicious. The colorful presentation is enjoyable for all the senses. There are many dishes, but it feels like you can finish them more easily than expected, unlike the usual overwhelming portions. However, the night soba available after 9 PM was too much for the whole family as we were already full. There are many chopstick rests with various designs in a box, adding to the fun of choosing. You can hear the voices next door, but perhaps because we were at the very back, it wasn't too bothersome. After breakfast, the nostalgic snacks placed at the entrance of the venue are a nice touch. - Points for improvement I would like the use of smartphones to be prohibited in the dressing room and washbasin area of the bath. On the first day, I saw someone twice who occupied a chair in the narrow medium bath after bathing and kept fiddling with their smartphone without considering others. When I told the female staff at the reception lobby, she brushed it off lightly, saying, "It's not like they were taking pictures, right?" Is it okay as long as they don't take pictures? Besides, you can't tell from the side whether they are taking pictures or not. I was surprised because other inns had "No Smartphone Use" signs at the entrance of the bath. Also, they said there would be no time sale at the shop the next day. However, the cleaning staff I passed by were very nice. It depends on the person, I guess.

It was an inn where you could relax and take it easy!

The room was very spacious, allowing us to relax while enjoying the view of the garden. Additionally, the room had both an indoor and an outdoor bath, where we could soak leisurely. All the meals were delicious, making it a very satisfying stay. This inn is recommended for those who want to spend a special occasion or simply relax and forget about everyday life.

    The best inn

I am always extremely satisfied with this accommodation and visit regularly, enjoying the changing seasons. It is truly healing to feel nature in the silence and soak in the hot springs. The staff's warm, attentive, yet unobtrusive hospitality, the chef's beautifully presented and generously portioned seasonal dishes full of playful creativity, and the service are all wonderful. However, this time there was no lighting in the large public bath, and I was very disappointed not to experience the fantastical scenery created by the steam, which is a hallmark of this place. Without the lighting, the front area is in darkness, and even with bear-repelling bells, it feels scary, so I hope for a prompt restoration.

The best accommodation in every aspect.

I always visit during different seasons and am warmly welcomed back, which always fills me with nostalgia. The staff's attentive and subtle care, the chef's skillful and playful, beautifully presented, and hearty delicious dishes, the wonderful hot springs, and the tranquility of the inn all provide great healing. However, both in August and this time, there was no lighting in the large bath, so I couldn't enjoy the fantastic scenery created by the steam, which is a signature feature, and it was very disappointing. Without the lighting, the front is in darkness, and even with bear-repelling bells, it's scary, so I hope for a prompt restoration. I'll visit again!!

It was unfortunate because of the rain.

The room was spacious and clean, and the indoor bath and semi-open-air bath were nice. However, the layout was inconvenient as the indoor bath was far away. The garden visible from the semi-open-air bath? was not maintained at all, which was a bit disappointing for such a lovely open-air bath. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The miso soup served in a pot at breakfast got cold, so it would have been better served in a bowl. The late-night soba was very tasty, thank you for the treat. Due to heavy rain from that night, the water from the stream overflowed, making it impossible to adjust the temperature of the hot springs, so by the next morning, the baths in the room, the large public bath, and the private bath were all too hot to enter. I believe most guests wanted to enjoy the hot springs until check-out. There was a notice posted in front of the large public bath, but since it was dangerously hot, an announcement to each room might have been necessary. When I woke up early to take a bath, I had no way of knowing and was surprised at how hot it was. Wouldn't some words at check-out be necessary? When I asked if the hot springs were okay, the response was, "It's nature, so..." While that's true, some words from the hotel regarding the diminished enjoyment were needed. It was disappointing to feel that a hotel with such wonderful hot springs was lacking. What happened was unavoidable, but how it was handled questions whether it is a first-class hotel. I hope you will consider this so that guests will want to visit again. Thank you for taking care of us.
