    We were truly satisfied with the attentive pre-arrival service and the excellent cuisine!

    I finally had the chance to stay at "Fufu Nikko," which I had been curious about for a long time! The staff provided thorough answers to my inquiries beforehand, allowing me to look forward to the day with peace of mind. The room exceeded my expectations, and I enjoyed a luxurious and relaxing time in the onsen. Every dish was exquisite, leaving me completely satisfied with their delicious flavors. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Nikko. Thank you very much!

    It was excellent, but there was one disappointing thing...

    The meals, Onsen, room, and staff were all excellent. I was very satisfied. However, there was an unpleasant smell left in the glass, which ruined the water and alcohol. It spoiled the wonderful food as well. I think it would be better to check this properly. I would like to use your services again, so I kindly ask for your attention to this matter.

    We created wonderful memories as a couple.

    This was our first time staying here. It was a special anniversary for us, and we each planned surprises for one another. Thank you for ensuring that both surprises remained secret and were perfectly executed. We created wonderful memories. We were offered the option to switch to teppanyaki for dinner, but based on reviews praising the kaiseki meal, we decided to stick with it—and it was absolutely delightful. At our age, the Japanese-style kaiseki cuisine suited us perfectly. Breakfast also featured beautifully crafted dishes and tableware that we thoroughly enjoyed. Perhaps influenced by our visit to Tamozawa Imperial Villa earlier in the day, we found the room's atmosphere exuded a similar elegance and charm. The spaciousness of the room's bath left such an impression that we used it multiple times! We also managed to enjoy private moments in the large public bath during quieter hours. The pear-flavored tea provided in our room was so delicious that we purchased some from your shop. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we couldn't spend much time in your lovely lounge—a regret we'll address next time with a multiple night stay. On our way home aboard Spacia, my spouse and I talked about how we'd love to return together again someday. Thank you so much to all of your staff who made this stay so memorable!

    It was excellent!

    This is a repeat stay. The staff at the Hotel always provide excellent service. The guest rooms are thoroughly cleaned and well-maintained. The meals were very delicious. I rated the Facility 4 because the slippers were flimsy and hard to wear, and it was difficult to adjust the lighting in the room. Other than that, everything was wonderful. I would love to visit again!

    A Journey in Search of Autumn Leaves

    I usually don't write reviews, but Fufu Nikko was such an amazing accommodation that I want others to experience it as well. The room, cuisine, staff service, and all other aspects were flawless—by far the best among all the accommodations I've stayed at. The room was even more beautiful than in the photos, with a spacious bath where I could relax. The meals were delicious, featuring seasonal ingredients and beautifully presented tableware. The staff's warm hospitality truly soothed both my body and mind. I would love to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you very much!

    The public bath is located far away.

    This is my second stay at this Hotel. The Room is spacious, and the bath is large and satisfying. However, the public bath is far away! That’s the only downside. The open-air bath is pleasant, and I wanted to go in the morning too, but it was cold and far, so I ended up not going. Well, I should have gone anyway. Overall, it’s a satisfying Hotel that I can recommend.

    Following our stay at Fufu Kawaguchiko, this accommodation was equally impressive. The atmosphere of the lobby and room was exceptional, and the staff's hospitality was flawless. I heard that a new hotel will be opening in the Miura Peninsula, and I am looking forward to visiting there as well.

    Unforgettable Memories

    For the past few years, I have been taking an annual girls' trip with my daughter to celebrate my birthday. Since our stay at Fufu Kyoto and Nara, I have become a huge fan of Fufu. As a self-proclaimed hotel enthusiast who has stayed at almost all hotels in Tokyo, this time I decided to visit Nikko after a long while and chose Fufu Nikko for the first time. The moment we stepped onto the hotel's premises, we felt an incredible sense of freshness and positivity. The warm hospitality from all the staff who welcomed us immediately captured our hearts. We checked in amidst stunning crimson autumn leaves and were guided to our Room. During the explanation of the Room's features, we noticed how thoughtfully they waited outside while we removed our shoes—a small but meaningful gesture that showed their attention to detail. The explanation itself was impressive, delivered with humor and without feeling scripted—it left us deeply moved. A photo taken by one of the staff members turned out so beautifully that it truly reflected how much joy we were experiencing at that moment. The Room was exceptional beyond words—details like having water available on the side table for tea preparation or thoughtful touches in the bathroom design stood out. Even something as simple as conveniently placed power outlets near bedside tables (often overlooked) was perfectly arranged here, making everything incredibly comfortable. The private open-air bath in our Room was so relaxing that I could have stayed there forever! Before dinner, champagne and wine service at the lounge added another layer of luxury; every interaction with staff there made us feel completely at ease. During dinner service, not only did we enjoy exquisite dishes blending Japanese and Western styles without monotony but also appreciated how beautifully poised and elegant one female staff member was—her presence enhanced both presentation and taste. Blessed with great weather during our stay at Fufu Nikko, this trip became an unforgettable memory for me and my daughter thanks to their outstanding hospitality. Next time, I hope to visit again with my husband along with my daughter and her spouse as a group of four! Thank you very much!

    The room was excellent—spacious and relaxing. The private onsen in the room was always available, large, and very comfortable. It was so good that I felt no need to visit the public bath. The meals were outstanding, not only in taste but also in presentation, with beautiful dishes and plating that were a feast for the eyes. The portions were generous, and I ended up eating too much but was thoroughly satisfied. I appreciated the leisurely breakfast time starting at 9 AM—it suited me well. I could enjoy a slow soak in the public bath before breakfast while listening to the sound of the river and admiring autumn leaves from the open-air bath. It was incredibly refreshing. Perhaps because of how great my private onsen was or because it was early morning, there wasn’t anyone else around during my soak in the public bath—I had it all to myself and truly enjoyed it. Breakfast itself was delightful as well. Served course-style starting with appetizers, every dish tasted amazing. The freshly cooked rice and soup served warm in small pots made for an exceptional meal experience—though once again, I ate too much! The service provided by staff members was excellent; they seemed to share information seamlessly among themselves about guest preferences, making my stay stress-free. Thanks to their hospitality, I had a wonderful time here—thank you so much! If there’s one minor issue to mention: walking through the corridor from the lobby to accommodation buildings felt cold due to its open design. While this added some seasonal charm during autumn, it might be less pleasant during winter. Lastly, the view of autumn leaves in your courtyard garden was stunning! I'd love to visit again during another beautiful season!

    It was my first stay at Fufu, and I was thoroughly impressed with the high quality of everything, making it a truly satisfying experience. Watching the fireplace flames in the lounge while enjoying a drink heightened my anticipation for the time ahead. The tall sofas were thoughtfully designed to block views from neighboring seats, allowing me to relax completely. The meals were not only delicious but also beautifully presented with refined elegance in both tableware and plating, offering joy to both the eyes and palate. I appreciated the consideration given to ingredients I am not fond of. In a semi-private dining space overlooking the garden, I could enjoy my meal at a leisurely pace. The service maintained just the right distance, creating a comfortable atmosphere throughout. From complimentary tea in the refrigerator to staff coming to pick up large luggage directly from my Room, every detail reflected exceptional hospitality. Even when it was difficult to arrange a taxi due to rain upon departure, their kind assistance left me deeply moved. I would love to visit again someday. Thank you very much!

    I was very satisfied.

    The Facility was spotless, and although there were staff members from various countries, everyone spoke excellent Japanese and provided great service, making our stay very pleasant. The meals and tableware were beautifully presented, with allergy-friendly options that were delicious. The staff member who attended to our table was young but very knowledgeable and courteous. They promptly found and sent back a forgotten item as well. We now have another Ryokan we would love to visit again.

    A luxurious one-night stay for a birthday celebration

    It was a special luxury accommodation chosen for a family birthday celebration, and it exceeded our expectations for a truly satisfying stay. Without any specific requests, they prepared a birthday plate and dried flowers for dinner, along with printing commemorative photos, allowing us to enjoy an incredibly heartfelt and touching moment. The private onsen bath in the room was spacious enough for two people to relax comfortably, with multiple levels that allowed us to enjoy various styles of bathing such as lying down or soaking up to the waist. The room's size, cleanliness, quality of amenities, and overall facilities provided an experience well worth the price. On the other hand, it was disappointing that there was no sauna in the public bath area and that the variety of free drinks in the lounge was limited. Relaxing in the open-air bath while feeling autumn through sunlight filtering through forest trees brought a sense of peace and rejuvenation—a testament to Fufu brand’s hospitality.     This was my first stay at the accommodation, and it exceeded my expectations. The staff were all very kind and made me feel warmly welcomed. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, with a variety of small portions that perfectly suited my preferences. The restaurant's private-focused design allowed for enjoyable conversations. In the room, there were no chairs or washbasins in the bathroom initially, but when I requested them from the staff, they kindly brought them over. It would be great if these items could always be provided in advance. I also thought it would have been nice to have a wider selection of alcoholic beverages available in the lounge. Despite these minor points, this stay was a perfect recharge for our busy lives. I look forward to visiting again!

    A wonderful Hotel.

    For my first stay with the "Fufu" brand, I chose Nikko. The room, the hospitality of the staff, and the quality of the meals were exceptional. Having visited numerous luxury resorts overseas, I can confidently say this is one of Japan's proud Resort Hotels. I've become a devoted fan of the "Fufu" brand and immediately made a reservation for Atami upon returning home. I will definitely revisit Nikko as well. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

    This is my second stay at this accommodation, following last spring, and I am highly satisfied. The free drinks in the lounge from 16:00 to 19:30 were excellent. I used it twice—once after checking in and enjoying the onsen, and again before dinner. The beer was perfectly chilled, making it ideal for a hot summer day. The staff promptly took orders as soon as we were seated and kindly offered a second drink when we finished the first—just the right level of attentive service. Dinner portions were more than sufficient for someone around their 50s, with each dish carefully prepared and elegantly delicious. Breakfast was also Japanese-style with equally high quality. The room was clean, with a fridge stocked for unlimited drinks. There was bottled tea with a muscat aroma that was incredibly tasty—I even requested a refill! The private bath in the room is about the size of an average onsen's reserved bath, with comfortably warm water perfect for relaxing at your own pace. From the onsen to meals, lounge service, room amenities, and hospitality overall—having visited Nikko annually—I believe this is truly one of the best accommodations in every aspect!

    Unfortunately.

    Last year, I stayed in Nikko for the first time with the teppanyaki plan and had a wonderful experience. Since then, I visited Fufu Hakone and Atami Sekaie, both of which were truly amazing. However, I found myself wanting to return to Fufu Nikko, where it all began. Despite enduring heavy traffic during the Obon holiday to revisit, I honestly wish I hadn't gone back. During dinner, a young female staff member kept sharing personal stories every time she served a dish. While my husband ate quietly, I put down my chopsticks to listen out of politeness but ended up unable to eat as my food got cold. Eventually, feeling exhausted from listening so much, I stopped eating altogether. Even dessert was only partially enjoyed before we decided to return to our room early. The dinner that I'd been looking forward to left no memorable impression at all and felt wasted. On the other hand, the foreign female staff member who served us breakfast the next morning was absolutely wonderful!

    An accommodation you'll want to visit again and again

    This was my second stay. As the title suggests, this is an accommodation I would love to visit again and again. Not only is the food delicious, but the thoughtful care from the staff, including the butlers, makes me want to return.     Highly satisfied!

    I have visited many renowned hotels and ryokans, but the only one that satisfied me in every aspect was Fufu Nikko. Even my daughter, who accompanied me, expressed her desire to return, saying it was a very pleasant facility where all the staff greeted us with warm smiles! Although our arrival was delayed and we had a short stay due to visiting Toshogu Shrine the next morning, we were able to luxuriously enjoy both the large public bath and the private room bath. The meals were also delightful, featuring local seasonal ingredients for both breakfast and dinner, with thoughtful attention in every detail. This is the first time I truly felt compelled to write a review from my heart. I definitely hope to visit again and explore more of Fufu properties. Thank you very much!

    The bath temperature and breakfast details.

    This is my second visit as I had a great experience last time. The staff who handled check-in also assisted us during dinner, and their attentiveness and service were excellent. The steak and seasoned rice were just as delicious as before. However, there were two points that disappointed me this time... Regarding the bath temperature, it seemed different depending on the room or season. Last time, on a cold day, it was set to a hotter temperature from the start. However, this time it felt lukewarm like a pool and lower than the set temperature. Even in summer, I prefer hot Onsen baths, so I couldn't warm up properly afterward as it still felt cooler than expected. The public bath was at an ideal hot temperature for me, but I was slightly disappointed with the inability to adjust the room's bath temperature properly. Another issue was with my child's chair during breakfast. I'm sorry to mention this—it really bothered me... We had breakfast at 9:30 AM during the last available slot of service. The chair where my child sat had crumbs left by previous guests' children scattered on both the cushion and seat—likely bread crumbs or similar food debris. While I understand that many small children tend to spill food during summer vacation periods, if parents leave such messes behind, I believe accommodation staff should clean thoroughly before seating new guests for breakfast service. It wasn't a pleasant experience in that regard. Other than these issues though—just like last time—I had an overall wonderful stay! I'm looking forward to visiting again in autumn!     Excellent quality!

    We stayed at the accommodation right after Golden Week with my parents in their 80s. The fresh greenery seen through the large window of the room was breathtakingly beautiful, like a painting. The remote controls for lighting and other features were quite high-tech, which left both us and my parents a bit confused. Additionally, we needed to change the size of the room wear (realizing it was "too tight" or "too short" after trying it on). It would be nice if the butler who accompanies guests to their room and explains the facilities could subtly suggest suitable sizes based on body type. Other than that, everything—from the room to the bath, meals, and complimentary pre-meal drinks—was absolutely wonderful. My parents especially loved how beautifully arranged the private dining space was at mealtime. I feel like I was able to give my parents a memorable experience. We would love to visit again!

    The interior design is distinctively different from other Fufu properties, resembling a classic Hotel. Dinner is well-balanced with a fusion of Japanese and Western styles, incorporating local ingredients. The public bath is not very spacious, but the Onsen in the Room provides ample satisfaction.

    Girls' Trip for Two

    This was our first stay at Fufu, and overall, we were very satisfied. We travel about once a month, and this was an accommodation we would love to stay at again. This time, we stayed in the Precious Suite room. Although it is a one-room space with just a bedroom, it was spacious and offered beautiful views from the window—truly wonderful. The private bath was very large and provided a relaxing atmosphere. The open closet was convenient to use, and used towels were promptly replaced. For meals, we enjoyed kaiseki cuisine. Each dish was beautifully presented with great attention to detail and absolutely delicious. We had such an enjoyable dining experience! The highlight for us was the clay pot rice served at the end—it was so exceptional that even though we were full, we couldn’t help but finish it all! It’s a feast that will remain unforgettable. Breakfast wasn’t overly abundant in quantity but each dish brought pure joy of flavor. After breakfast, drinks were served in the lounge. The staff members were kind and responsive; they made us true fans of Fufu. Personally, I found the Onsen temperature slightly lukewarm which is why I rated it 4 stars instead of 5. If I have another opportunity to visit Nikko, I will definitely stay at Fufu Nikko again. Thank you for this wonderful experience!

    A Relaxing Accommodation

    Due to a typhoon, our flight was canceled, and we had to change our plans suddenly to visit Nikko. We made a same-day reservation at "Fufu Nikko," which we had always wanted to stay at. It exceeded our expectations with its relaxing atmosphere, the room's ambiance, delicious cuisine, attentive service, and above all, the staff's exceptional hospitality. This accommodation helped us overcome the disappointment of the canceled flight. My husband and I even said, "This might have been better after all." We’ve become fans of Fufu and look forward to staying at other Fufu accommodations in the future!

    Fufu's meals are tru...

    Fufu's meals are truly exceptional. The attention to detail in the presentation and tableware is exciting. Fufu Nikko was also wonderful. During our 3-night stay, the breakfast on the second morning was Western-style, but it felt ordinary compared to the Japanese-style breakfast, so we hope for some improvement here. The bath was spacious enough, but it was a bit disappointing that despite being a natural hot spring flow, water wasn't constantly flowing. It would be even better if we could enjoy the sound of running water while bathing. Having stayed at almost all Fufu Facilities, they are all outstanding. It would be great to see more locations across the whole country!

    The room's bathroom is luxurious.

    This was my first stay at Fufu, and it was an incredible experience. First, the room was extremely comfortable. The view of greenery from the window, the plush bed, and the variety of video services kept me entertained throughout my stay. What surprised me most was the bath. A large bath comparable to a public Onsen is installed in the room, and I heard that the water is sourced directly from a hot spring. With a waterproof TV included, I ended up taking five baths during my one-night stay! The meals were luxurious kaiseki-style dishes; although for me personally, the portions were slightly large. I chose roast beef for the grilled dish—it melted in my mouth with exquisite flavor. The hospitality was outstanding as well, and now I am eager to visit other accommodations by Fufu in the future. Thank you for such wonderful hospitality!
