    A Resort Hotel Where You Can Fully Enjoy a Remote Island

    This was a commemorative trip for us as a mature couple, and we were able to relax quietly and at our own pace. Many of the staff are from overseas, but everyone’s greetings and thoughtful hospitality were truly pleasant. The villa Room and pool were clean and very satisfying. The amenities were also more than sufficient. However, since the neighboring Rooms are close, it can get a bit noisy when families are lively in the pool. Perhaps because it was cooler than usual for the season, the main pool and beach felt almost private, which was wonderfully refreshing. At nearly 70 years old, I enjoyed snorkeling again for the first time in a while, and I was thrilled to see so many tropical fish—including clownfish—near the shore. The planetarium we could use during the pre-opening period was also fantastic. The breakfast buffet was delicious, but since we had a Multiple Night Stay, we would have appreciated a bit more variety in daily menu changes. Also, it would be nice if there were a wider selection of drinks in the Room. And having a washing machine in the Room would be perfect (though that may be asking too much). Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would like to use this Hotel again next time.

    We stayed in a villa...

    We stayed in a villa-type Accommodation with a private pool. As expected in the tropics, we encountered a parade of insects—spiders, centipedes, and even beetles resembling golden scarabs. If you are very uncomfortable with insects or reptiles, this may be challenging. Also, perhaps because we were on the lowest level, the view was a bit disappointing despite being seaside—only a small glimpse of the horizon. However, the Room was spacious and well equipped, and we were generally satisfied, especially with amenities such as THANN. For meals, we enjoyed breakfast and dinner buffets at the Beach House Restaurant. The staff’s hospitality was excellent as well, and we would love to visit again if we have the chance.

    It was heavenly.

    Thank you for the wonderful hospitality! The staff were absolutely amazing! The Room was lovely, and the pool was fantastic! We used two restaurants, and both were delicious! This was our second visit to Kissho, and thank you for your thoughtful consideration, such as changing the kaiseki menu for us! We were also amazed by the Diamond benefits. We could enjoy half a bottle of champagne with each meal, plus sweets, and the ¥6,000 voucher was incredibly useful for renting a cart and having drinks. The cart is so much fun—definitely rent one and explore the grounds!

    It was amazing!

    Choosing the Plan with dinner and breakfast plus a cart was the best decision!!! The kids were really happy too. The pool depth was 1.2 meters. It’s a good idea to bring a device to inflate swim rings. The insects we were worried about didn’t bother us that much. Every Facility was very clean, and all the staff were pleasant and friendly. The welcome drink was delicious, and we enjoyed the gym as it had a great variety of machines. Even though the gym is so nice, there weren’t many users, so it wasn’t crowded. Also, the latest planetarium & observatory was amazing! The staff providing explanations were truly attentive and thorough. There were also many kinds of loaner games available, which were a big hit with the kids. There was a path from beside the restaurant down to Nagamahama Beach, but it was steeper than I expected and made me nervous. We used both restaurants—of course the food was excellent, and the service felt very warm as well. However, at the Western-style dinner buffet there was an area where children are not allowed to serve themselves, which was the only slightly disappointing point. I couldn’t take items from there either because then my kids would want them too... But everything really tasted great! This is a Hotel we definitely want to visit again! Thank you very much.

    This was my second s...

    This was my second stay, following my visit last May. It was disappointing that it was cloudy. The meals were delicious. The planetarium was also great. If possible, I would have liked to see the real stars. I will come again, and thank you in advance.

    Wonderful Hotel

    The Room, surroundings, location, ocean, and sandy beach are all beautiful. We had the sushi kaiseki meal and were very satisfied. In the villa pool, by morning, beetles gathered around the pool light and about 100 were floating in the water. (Laugh) Also, hermit crabs came to visit the entrance. There are lots of snails too—it’s very natural.

    Seawood Hotel, where you can enjoy a quiet, beautiful starry sky.

    This was my first time staying on Kurima Island. The entire island was very quiet, and I was able to relax and unwind away from the bustle of everyday life. The villa house we stayed in came with a private pool, and we enjoyed a luxurious, truly relaxing time that felt just like being at home. Being able to take it easy without worrying about others around us was especially appealing. The staff were also exceptionally polite and warm, making our stay comfortable from start to finish. The anniversary photo service left a lasting impression—thank you so much for taking wonderful photos that became precious memories for the two of us. The meals were also delicious across the board, with a comforting, handmade touch from the chef that left us fully satisfied. We also used a brand-new Facility—an observatory and planetarium that had opened just two weeks earlier. We were able to enjoy Miyakojima’s beautiful night sky, making it a truly special experience. This is a Hotel I would highly recommend to anyone looking to spend an unforgettable time.

    Fun Hotel

    Our first trip to Miyakojima. For our second night, we wanted a Hotel our son could enjoy too, and while searching we came across Seawood, with its spacious grounds and villa-type Rooms. It turned out to be a very fulfilling stay that both adults and children could enjoy. The staff at check-in and at the breakfast venue were all very kind and pleasant, which we truly appreciated. Our Room was a pool Room without a view, but we could still catch a glimpse of the ocean. It was wonderful—offering both privacy and a true resort feel. The pool was larger than expected, and our son had a great time! Since the depth is 1.2 m, I think it’s reassuring for small children to have floaties or similar items. Also, being able to go directly from the pool to the bathroom was very convenient. At night, we joined the observatory × LED planetarium viewing experience, which was extremely satisfying for adults as well! For breakfast we had the buffet. There was a wide variety of options, including island specialties, so it was fun and delicious from the morning. We also rented a cart, which was incredibly helpful since the grounds are so large! Thank you for such a wonderful time.

    High quality

    The staff’s warm, heartfelt hospitality is truly moving. I was amazed by the view from the lobby upon arrival, and during my stay I lost track of time watching the sunset from Nagamahama. The Hotel-affiliated activities are also great. I’d love to come again.

    Your First Time in Miyakojima

    Staying at Seawood this time was wonderful—everything was thoughtfully designed, including the sense of privacy and the spacing between cottages. The restaurant meals were also great value and very satisfying. I’ll be back again soon—thank you in advance.

    I came to Miyakojima to stay here.

    This was our third stay, and we spent two nights in a villa house with a private pool. The Room was clean and functional, and the pool was well maintained, so we really enjoyed swimming. We chose the plan with breakfast and dinner included. On the first night, we had a buffet at the Western restaurant Kissho—there was a great variety, everything was delicious, and we ate far too much. On the second night, we enjoyed a kaiseki course at “Japanese Restaurant Kissho.” With food this good included, I honestly think it would be a shame to stay here and then go out into town for dinner. The breakfast buffet is also incredibly varied every time—so many choices that it’s hard to decide—and everything is high quality and delicious! It’s no exaggeration to say that coming to Miyakojima is worth it just to stay here. It was truly an outstanding two-night stay for our family!! And heartfelt thanks for the wonderful hospitality from the Indonesian staff—Terima kasih!!

    I was able to relax.

    The breakfast, Room, and private beach were excellent. The late-night meal was honestly disappointing. The staff’s service and hospitality were also disappointing depending on the person. Overall, we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. Please consider improving the points above.

    A Resort That Never Disappoints

    I had such a comfortable and satisfying stay that I returned again after last month. This time I chose a slightly larger Room, which made the experience even better. With great weather, soaking in the pool at night while gazing up at a sky full of stars is something unique to Seawood. Dining at Kissho is also one of the highlights, and I strongly felt it was an excellent-value stay. For a while, I’d like to keep choosing Seawood whenever I need a change of pace.

    I stayed at Shuri House.

    The property was more spacious than I expected and had some elevation changes, but getting around by cart was comfortable. I feel a bit hesitant to request it every time and it can be a little inconvenient, so walking around is also enjoyable. A new dome-shaped telescope for stargazing had been built, so on clear nights you’ll probably be able to see a sky full of stars. During my Multiple Night Stay after traveling from Naha, I wanted to do laundry at a coin laundromat, but there wasn’t one in the Hotel building—there was only one, located far away near the restaurant. The view from the iconic dome-shaped building was wonderful, but there always seemed to be a Shuttle Service wagon parked there, which was a bit disappointing. Next time, I’d like to stay in one of the villas.

    Beautiful scenery

    We stayed in April 2026. All the staff were kind, and we truly appreciated the team at the Japanese restaurant we chose for dinner. The overall scenery of the Hotel was also wonderful. There were two disappointing points. - Breakfast restaurant On the morning of our second day, several large flies were flying around the buffet area and even landing on the food, which felt very unhygienic. The staff did not seem concerned. Also, because it was our last breakfast before checkout, we asked to sit by the window. An older female staff member responded in a very unpleasant way. At first we were told it was full, but later a seat opened up, so we asked if we could move. She said sharply, “Fine, but please move yourselves!” We carried everything ourselves; she did not help at all and watched us out of the corner of her eye. I still cannot forget how unpleasant it felt. She seemed to be someone senior as she was speaking with the chef about portion sizes. I understand she serves many guests every day, but please understand this: this was our first time in Miyakojima, and it may be a once-in-a-lifetime stay for us. I hope such unfriendly service will not happen again. The same woman kindly took photos for us the previous day, so I have mixed feelings—but I wanted to leave this note. - Our Room shower area had multiple spots with black mold and hardened soap scum. After we called, someone who seemed like a manager came to clean right away. It did not improve significantly in the end, but they did try to address it. We made our Reservation about six months in advance and requested (if possible) a Room with a specific design in addition to our Room type request; however, we were assigned a different design instead. Also, unlike another Hotel where we stayed previously on this trip, the pool here was not continuously flowing/refreshing water, so there were many insects floating on top and we could not use it. Even so—those issues are still manageable for us. Because there were both good and bad points overall, we will consider whether to stay again in the future; however, we truly do not want to use the breakfast restaurant again.

    We’re sorry to hear that.

    I had a very unpleasant experience regarding the rental car arrangements. First, due to a mistake on the Hotel’s side, the rental car pickup time was incorrect. Around 9:30 PM—after our child had fallen asleep—we suddenly received a call to our Room asking if we could change the time. We explained that it would be difficult because we had already booked activities, and were told, “We’ll see what we can do.” However, since this was your mistake, I believe you should have taken responsibility and handled it properly rather than saying you would “try.” My dissatisfaction is not only with the mistake itself, but with the attitude of the person who called. When I asked for a manager to explain why this happened, I was told they were not available and would call back. It was late at night and our child was sleeping, so we waited anxiously. My husband took the return call, and because he prefers to avoid conflict, it ended quickly. On the day of pickup, we used the rental car at the originally scheduled time. However, there was a “close” sign at the counter location. Even though staff seemed aware that we were there, no one spoke to us. After asking another staff member to check, someone finally assisted us—but their response felt casual and lacked sincerity. Seeing my frustration, they said something like “It seems the front desk gave you incorrect information—sorry,” but from our perspective it doesn’t matter who is at fault; a straightforward apology would have been enough. It felt like responsibility was being avoided, which was very disappointing. More than the mistake itself, I found it extremely disappointing how inadequate and insincere the follow-up response was—and that even management seemed to take it lightly. The food—both breakfast and dinner—was very delicious. However, for Japanese dinner there is a choice of shabu-shabu / sushi / sukiyaki. We chose shabu-shabu on day 1 and sukiyaki on day 3; however, our 4-year-old’s meal came as sushi both times. I assumed sushi would only be served if selected in advance (or chosen), so this part felt somewhat unclear. Aside from those involved in this rental car issue, everyone else was truly kind and attentive overall. Thank you. I would appreciate it if you could tell me why we were called at that hour late at night despite your error—and who decided to say “we’ll see what we can do.”

    We had a wonderful time enjoying the resort!

    Since we often got around by cart, we had many chances to interact with the staff, including international team members, and everyone was consistently pleasant and welcoming. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us. Even when the weather wasn’t ideal, we were able to enjoy a resort atmosphere by playing in the Room pool and having delicious meals. We’re truly glad we chose this Hotel!

    I was happy!

    We stayed in a villa with a private pool. The view from the Room, the lights at night, and the staff’s warm smiles and attentive service—everything about this Hotel was wonderful. They also arranged our venue transfers quickly, so there was no stress at all, and breakfast was delicious. The bed was excellent, and the amenities were well stocked. Our only regret was that we didn’t get to enjoy a beautiful sunset or a starry sky. Next time, we’d like to visit again at a better time of year. Thank you!

    A Resort Hotel set on expansive, meticulously maintained grounds

    The grounds are spacious, but whenever we went to the beach or breakfast, a cart was arranged right away, making it easy to get around. Breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, including ingredients typical of Miyakojima, and we really enjoyed it. We stayed on the second floor, but the view from our Room was only the roof over the first-floor entrance area, so we couldn’t enjoy any views of Kurima Island at all. It was also disappointing that the shop wasn’t open before our departure the next day, so we couldn’t do any shopping.

    The dining was exceptional, and the sea, starry skies, and hospitality were outstanding.

    The kaiseki at Kissho was outstanding. I wished I could have bought the breakfast bread to take home. The Shuttle Service staff were foreigners, but they were humble and truly heartfelt in their hospitality. They must have been raised with love in their home country. It made me realize what Japanese people may be lacking.

    It’s easy to see why this place is so popular.

    I’ve been to Miyakojima many times, but this was my first stay here. It was a wonderful place, just as its popularity suggests. The Facility was well maintained down to the smallest details, with great taste and a comfortable atmosphere. All of the staff were pleasant, and I think it’s rare to find a Hotel that has everything so well provided. I stayed for my birthday and had an amazing time. I will definitely stay again.

    I stayed here for the first time last year and loved it, so this year I returned with a couple of friends. They liked it very much as well, and we were able to spend a wonderful time together. The staff were very warm and welcoming, and we truly enjoyed our meals. We plan to come back again next year.

    The Diamond benefits were excellent.

    This was our second stay. The Villa House we stayed in last time was also wonderful, but since I’m not good with insects and Shuri looked great too, we chose the Shuri House this time—and it was absolutely the right decision! The view was amazing, and thank you for upgrading us to such a lovely Room. Because we didn’t open the windows, we didn’t see a single insect. Also, while the villa felt a bit dim, Shuri was bright, which made it better for spending time with our toddler. However, the laundry room is far away and there are only three machines, so I’d be happy if more were added near Shuri as well. Also, we couldn’t find pool towels or a changing room area, so I wondered how that would work during summer. There were plenty of Diamond benefits too, and we were happy to be able to use them for souvenirs and at restaurants. Our son had so much fun that he said it’s his favorite Hotel. It’s a wonderful Hotel with a luxurious feel while still surrounded by nature—kind and welcoming enough that families can relax without hesitation.

    This was our first trip to Miyakojima, also to celebrate my husband’s retirement. We were blessed with great weather and were amazed by the Miyako blue. We stayed at this Hotel on the last night, and they upgraded our Room, allowing us to fully enjoy an extraordinary experience. It turned into a wonderful trip. This is an Accommodation we would love to visit again.

    It was very good.

    We stayed here for a family trip. The Facility was clean, and it seems like it will continue to improve. We were glad that one lunch was included with our Multiple Night Stay. Breakfast was also very delicious, though it was a bit disappointing that there wasn’t much variety on the second day. We couldn’t use the on-site Japanese restaurant during our stay, so we’ll look forward to it next time.
