    We had a wonderful and fulfilling summer vacation!

    This was our first stay, and it was wonderful! Our three-generation family loved the villa with a private pool—it was amazing. The sunset and the meals were both delicious. Thank you very much!

    A Dreamlike Two-Day Stay

    We stayed here in late August for 2 nights and 3 days as a family of four. The villa was very spacious and wonderful, and the attached pool was large—our two boys (ages 5 and 10) were thrilled and swam from morning to night whenever they had even a little free time. The views were breathtaking, and the staff were always smiling and kind—nothing to complain about! Next time, we’d like to visit again with our parents.

    Miyako BLUE is wonderful.

    The Miyako BLUE view from the entrance was amazing. The room was also very clean, and we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. We would love to stay here again.

    Everything is wonderful!!!

    The day before, our flight was canceled due to a typhoon and it seemed the island had been closed off, so we were worried about whether we could go the next day. However, we decided not to change the dates and went as planned. The weather turned sunny and we were truly happy to be able to make it. Many staff members warmly welcomed us on arrival. They also took photos for us at the entrance to the photo spot, and there were welcome drinks available at the entrance as well. After that, we rode in a cart and were escorted to our Room. The view was wonderful, the bath was spacious, and there were plenty of amenities—everything exceeded our expectations. At breakfast buffet, the whole-grapefruit fresh juice was especially unforgettable. Everything was perfect, and we had a dreamlike stay! Thank you so much!!!

    Like a Hollywood movie mansion

    On the last day of our trip with my son’s family, we splurged on a three-bedroom villa where we could all spend time together. The living room was spacious and gorgeous, and the private pool was large, so everyone had a great time and felt wonderful. The only complaint is that there was no laundry in the Room. I would have preferred a washing machine to wash swimsuits rather than a gorgeous kitchen set. Other than that, I have nothing to say.

    It was a wonderful Hotel stay.

    This was my first stay, and it exceeded my expectations—it was a wonderful experience. The Room was spacious and clean, and the food was delicious. The villa pool also made our children very happy. Since the grounds are very large, getting around by cart was convenient. The staff were kind and provided excellent service. I would love to stay here again when I visit Miyakojima!

    Paradise

    It was the best, in a word! We stayed here for 4 nights and 5 days in late July. The view, the Room, the service—everything exceeded our expectations. We visited on our honeymoon, and they even gave us souvenirs, took photos of us with the beautiful scenery in the background, put them in a photo frame, and gifted it to us. We now display it at our home’s entrance. Even in the heat, they drove us by cart many times between the front desk and the parking area, dining venue, and laundry—it almost felt like too much to ask. There were plenty of amenities and towels, and the Room was more spacious than we could have imagined. Plus there was a pool that we could jump into anytime right away. Staying at a villa like this was amazing! The meals were also fantastic—especially the sushi kaiseki course; we loved it so much that we changed one day’s plan just to have it again. They adjusted the course menu for us as well, and everything was delicious—we also enjoyed dining while watching the sunset. Even after returning home, we’re still savoring the memories and thinking back on our days in Miyakojima. We’re truly grateful for helping us create such wonderful honeymoon memories. Thank you so much!!

    Thank you for taking care of us on our first trip to Miyakojima.

    We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days, and it was an extremely satisfying stay. Most guests were families or couples, and we were able to relax in a calm atmosphere. This Hotel is especially recommended for families with young children. Rates rise significantly during the summer vacation season, so booking early is highly recommended. I made a Reservation in September of the previous year and stayed the following July, and compared with last-minute rates, I was able to book for about ¥100,000 less. The pool is not heated, but since it was midsummer, the water actually felt warmer than a heated pool, and it was very comfortable to swim. The staff were wonderful as well—when we returned from going out and were near the front desk area, they would kindly ask, “Would you like our Shuttle Service to your Room?” Their thoughtful attention really stood out. They were also very kind to our 18-month-old daughter, so our whole family felt comfortable throughout our stay. Our Room type did not have a washing machine, but the coin laundry in the Hotel was surprisingly available—we could use it even around 9 p.m. without waiting, which was very helpful. The view from our villa-style Room was truly stunning—the beautiful sea of Miyakojima spread out right in front of us. In the morning, we could watch from the Room as the ocean gradually turned into a vivid blue with sunrise—it felt like such a luxurious time. If you’re looking to enjoy a relaxing resort stay on Miyakojima Island, this is a Hotel I highly recommend.

    It was a wonderful Hotel. The pool villa was amazing.

    This is a Hotel where you can fully enjoy the beauty and charm of Miyakojima. This time, we chose a villa with a private pool. Because the owner is a homebuilder, each villa is solidly built, and it felt comfortable—almost like staying at home. The Room was also very well cleaned. There were plenty of towels, the amenities were THANN (a Thai brand), and we appreciated having Tsujiri tea as well as a Nescafé Dolce Gusto machine. The bed was Sealy with just the right firmness, and we slept very comfortably. The private pool was wonderful, we could see the blue ocean from the Room, and at night we enjoyed a sky full of stars along with the sound of the waves—it was perfect. Above all, what impressed us most about this Hotel was the staff’s hospitality. We have stayed at many Resort Hotels in Japan and abroad, but their service stood out because they responded quickly and appropriately to each situation—truly top-class. Their support made this trip even more special, and we are very grateful. Everything was great overall; if I had to mention one thing, I found it surprising that there were no beach sandals. The fluffy slippers were nice, but since both the pool and ocean are so close, having beach sandals would make things even more convenient. Also, since the villas are set within nature, insects are unavoidable—but ants with an excellent sense of smell showed up almost every night, which turned into quite a battle (laugh). Insect spray was provided in the Room, so we managed. All in all, if I have another chance to visit Miyakojima next time as well، I would love to stay again in a villa with a private pool. It’s a Hotel where you can create wonderful memories. Thank you very much.

    Hmm...

    First, the Room was dirty—covered in spider webs, and many of them looked like they had been there for a long time. They were also in very noticeable places. There was so much dust left that I couldn’t believe it. The pool was so dirty I didn’t even feel like getting in. Bugs floating on the surface can’t be helped, but the water looked like it hadn’t been changed in ages. Also, because of the way it’s designed, when you clean the balcony the water flows into the pool—doesn’t that make it even dirtier? The food felt like a typical Hotel breakfast. The fresh orange and grapefruit juices I was looking forward to had been changed to paid items. The only saving grace was the staff—everyone was kind, always smiling, and their service was excellent. Even the painted staircase is falling apart... I booked early and stayed at a lower price, but it felt like about 30,000 yen per night for a Premium Pool Villa. I don’t think this is a Room worth paying 50,000 or 100,000 yen for. There were few amenities, and most were low quality. As expected from the Iida Group. I might stay again only if it becomes extremely cheap.

    The Best Place to Stay in Miyakojima

    Whenever I go to Miyakojima, this is the place I choose. I always stay in a villa type, but this time there were stairs up to the Room, which was inconvenient with a small child. Some of the tiles in front of the villa were cracked and felt dangerous. I had to carry my child every time, which was tough. It feels like someone could get hurt someday. That said, it’s still a wonderful Hotel. The amenities are well stocked, the ceilings are high, everything feels clean, and you can relax comfortably. Many villas in Miyakojima don’t have staff on site, which can feel unsettling, but here staff are always present so you can feel at ease. Everyone—at the restaurant, the international staff members, the front desk, and the shop—provides courteous service that makes me want to come back every time. I couldn’t make it to the much-talked-about planetarium this time, but next time I will definitely go! Thank you very much again for this stay.

    Exceptional hospitality

    The staff we interacted with from check-in to check-out were perfect. Even during our Multiple Night Stay, the meals had different menus, so we never got bored. The Room was thoroughly cleaned, and we had a very comfortable stay.

    Kurima Island After the Rainy Season Ends

    Typhoon No. 7 approached Miyakojima, and on June 25 the airport and the bridge were closed, but on July 1 Sea Wood was blessed with clear skies. We arrived around 1:00 PM and checked in, then had lunch at the Beach House with a beer. After receiving a call from the front desk that our Room was ready, we were taken to our Pool Villa. Our villa was Building 710 along the east side, with an amazing view of Tokyu, Irabu Bridge, and Irabu Island from both the Room and the pool. We had made a Reservation for the Observatory Dome Tour (free for guests) starting at 2:00 PM. We enjoyed spherical dot-LED visuals while relaxing in reclining chairs, then went upstairs for an explanation of the large astronomical telescope and a view of Saturn’s rings. As it was a full moon that night, we were told it would be difficult to see many stars with the naked eye. The private pool water was pleasantly warm, and we were very satisfied swimming and enjoying Orion beer while looking out at the sea. The next morning after breakfast at the Beach House, we went to see Nagamahama Beach. Sea Wood in midsummer is simply outstanding.

    The best location and outstanding hospitality

    I stayed with three friends. The Room was clean, and we had a very comfortable stay. The location of the Facility within the Accommodation was excellent, and we enjoyed breathtaking views of the ocean from everywhere—from sunrise to a starry sky. We also really enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet. The staff were exceptionally kind, warm, and attentive, which made us feel very welcome. We would definitely love to come again.

    I’d love to stay here again!

    This is my third stay. All the staff are very kind, and their smiles are wonderful. The cart Shuttle Service staff, in particular, are so helpful it almost feels too much. What stood out most this time was the team at the Tenmonkan Observatory, which opened in June. Mr./Ms. Kame〇 and Mr./Ms. Saka〇 were incredibly kind and very knowledgeable. Thank you for a wonderful time! I think I’ll be looking up at the night sky for a while. I’m looking forward to seeing you again next time.

    We enjoyed a relaxing three-night stay.

    We used a taxi Shuttle Service from the airport to the Hotel. After arriving, we took photos and waited until dinner. We chose the buffet with no additional charge, so it was not very good. The breakfast buffet the next morning was decent. The Room amenities were limited to shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, so they were not extensive. The ocean view from the Room was wonderful. I recommend having dinner at Kissho; we enjoyed kaiseki cuisine and sukiyaki. The weather was not very good, but we were satisfied because we could relax at the Hotel. The staff also kindly told us which beaches are best.

    Wonderful

    It was Seawood Loss!! We stayed here to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday. Thank you for taking photos of her in a purple dress. The planetarium was also wonderful, and the breakfast was delicious. Swimming in the Room pool in the morning and then swimming at the private beach after breakfast made us unbelievably happy. Whenever we visit Miyakojima, Seawood is our only choice.

    I’d love to visit again next year.

    Although it was the rainy season, we stayed at the Royal Pool Villa for three nights to celebrate my mother’s birthday. All of the staff were wonderful and very kind to my elderly mother, which made our stay truly enjoyable. Even in the rain it wasn’t cold, so we swam in the pool and took walks by the sea—it was great fun. We could use a cart Shuttle Service to get around the on-site Facilities such as the restaurant, lobby, planetarium, and laundry, so bad weather was never an issue. As this is an island location, I assume there are limitations in terms of ingredients and transportation compared with the mainland. Still, they made thoughtful efforts using local products, and even though we ate breakfast and dinner at the Hotel for all three days, we never got bored. Also—the planetarium was amazing. You should definitely go. Before visiting I read various Reviews and felt a bit uneasy, but having moved from Tokyo to Naha myself, I honestly think that if someone expects extremely high-end service or dining, they should choose places like The Ritz-Carlton or Bulgari Hotel instead. Everyone here was kind and friendly, and the food wasn’t overly salty or heavy—there were many healthy options that we really appreciated. If I could make one request: when I contacted the front desk with questions before our stay, some of the replies were inaccurate and there was no information about the lounge, so I ended up calling for clarification. Since pre-stay inquiries are likely fairly standard, having prepared templates would help ensure consistent answers regardless of which staff member responds. That’s my only suggestion.

    Highly praised

    We planned a trip to Miyakojima with my wife, daughter, and mother-in-law to give my mother-in-law—who has always supported our family—a special time surrounded by the best ocean views, and we stayed at Seawood Hotel. It was my mother-in-law’s first trip to Miyakojima. She had been truly looking forward to it even before departure, and it turned into a wonderful stay that far exceeded her expectations. Thanks to the beautiful sea stretching out before us, the relaxed pace of time, the refined Facility, and above all the warm hospitality of the staff, our whole family was able to spend a genuinely happy time. We chose connecting Pool & Jacuzzi Villa Houses (73 m² × 2 Rooms) so my mother-in-law could feel comfortable without having to worry about anything, along with a Plan that included breakfast and a cart. My mother-in-law kept saying, “It feels like a dream to be able to spend time with such an amazing view.” My wife and daughter were also very satisfied. My daughter drove the cart around the property, breakfast was delicious, and seeing so many smiles made me feel from the bottom of my heart that choosing this Hotel was absolutely the right decision. A trip becomes a lifelong treasure not only because of its scenery or Facility, but because of the memories made there. Seawood Hotel is exactly the kind of place that creates those special memories. It became an unforgettable—and truly 최고의—Miyakojima trip for our family. We will definitely be back again. Thank you very much.

    It was spacious and had a great open feel.

    What surprised me most was that when we arrived by rental car to check in, unloaded our luggage at the entrance, parked the car, and headed back to the front door, a staff member had followed us with a cart and was waiting for us. We had dinner at Kissho, and it was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, and we were thrilled to be able to enjoy stargazing for free at just the right time. We’d love to come back next year with our daughter and her husband as a group of four.

    A Hotel Where You Can Fully Enjoy Kurima Island

    My first stay at Seawood, and I really loved it. The best points were, first, that the airport Shuttle Service is by taxi, so everything was smooth. Also, the Room was spacious and comfortable. In the morning I worked out on the latest gym machines while looking out at the ocean; during the day I cycled around Kurima Island with a rental bike; and in the evening I enjoyed the lounge service—making my stay on Kurima Island truly fulfilling. The food was excellent as well, especially the Japanese kaiseki course meal. It was March, but we were lucky with great weather and could swim normally in the in-room pool. There were a lot of insects so I had to keep cleaning diligently, but the pool water was very clean with no chlorine smell at all. The only slight disappointment was that the sea in front of the Hotel is not a designated swimming beach, but IKYU Diamond benefits were substantial and overall satisfaction was very high. When I visit Miyakojima again, I would love to stay here again.

    An Early Summer Vacation

    When we arrived at the Hotel, it felt like an overseas Resort Hotel—an open, liberating atmosphere with a deep blue sky and sea. We stayed in late May with our 2-year-old grandchild, our daughter and her husband, and us as a couple. Every Room had access to a large pool and lawn, with hibiscus in bloom. We were lucky with the weather, and it felt like an early summer vacation—we were able to relax and take our time. The villas were spaced just right. It seemed the family next door also had children, but even when using the outdoor pool, we weren’t bothered by noise. We also had a small grandchild with us, yet we could use the pool without worrying about disturbing others. The staff were calm and welcoming. The buffet-style dinner was delicious, and lunch at the Japanese restaurant—Soki soba and abura soba—was also excellent. It was a wonderful holiday, and we would love to stay again.

    It was a luxurious getaway.

    I was able to do everything I wanted to relax and be healed by nature. With nothing but kind staff, delicious meals, time to unwind in the Room, trips to the beach, golf, swimming in the pool, and spa treatments to refresh my body—plus the incredible experience of seeing Jupiter and Venus through a large telescope and being moved by the LED dome show—it was an amazing four-night stay where I played like a kid again.

    A Resort Hotel Where You Can Fully Enjoy a Remote Island

    This was a commemorative trip for us as a mature couple, and we were able to relax quietly and at our own pace. Many of the staff are from overseas, but everyone’s greetings and thoughtful hospitality were truly pleasant. The villa Room and pool were clean and very satisfying. The amenities were also more than sufficient. However, since the neighboring Rooms are close, it can get a bit noisy when families are lively in the pool. Perhaps because it was cooler than usual for the season, the main pool and beach felt almost private, which was wonderfully refreshing. At nearly 70 years old, I enjoyed snorkeling again for the first time in a while, and I was thrilled to see so many tropical fish—including clownfish—near the shore. The planetarium we could use during the pre-opening period was also fantastic. The breakfast buffet was delicious, but since we had a Multiple Night Stay, we would have appreciated a bit more variety in daily menu changes. Also, it would be nice if there were a wider selection of drinks in the Room. And having a washing machine in the Room would be perfect (though that may be asking too much). Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would like to use this Hotel again next time.

    We stayed in a villa...

    We stayed in a villa-type Accommodation with a private pool. As expected in the tropics, we encountered a parade of insects—spiders, centipedes, and even beetles resembling golden scarabs. If you are very uncomfortable with insects or reptiles, this may be challenging. Also, perhaps because we were on the lowest level, the view was a bit disappointing despite being seaside—only a small glimpse of the horizon. However, the Room was spacious and well equipped, and we were generally satisfied, especially with amenities such as THANN. For meals, we enjoyed breakfast and dinner buffets at the Beach House Restaurant. The staff’s hospitality was excellent as well, and we would love to visit again if we have the chance.

    It was heavenly.

    Thank you for the wonderful hospitality! The staff were absolutely amazing! The Room was lovely, and the pool was fantastic! We used two restaurants, and both were delicious! This was our second visit to Kissho, and thank you for your thoughtful consideration, such as changing the kaiseki menu for us! We were also amazed by the Diamond benefits. We could enjoy half a bottle of champagne with each meal, plus sweets, and the ¥6,000 voucher was incredibly useful for renting a cart and having drinks. The cart is so much fun—definitely rent one and explore the grounds!
