    First Time in Kawasaki

    I stayed at the hotel because it was the closest to Muza Kawasaki Hall, where a concert was held. It was my first time visiting Kawasaki, and I found it to be a very convenient area. The hotel was also very comfortable. I especially appreciated that the bathroom and toilet were separate, which made it more user-friendly. The breakfast buffet was delicious, and having cutlery already set on the table was very helpful. The staff were incredibly kind and provided excellent service—thank you so much! They even arranged a taxi for me to Haneda Airport, and I realized how close Kawasaki is to Haneda Airport, making access very convenient. Thank you for everything! I will definitely stay here again when visiting Kawasaki.

    Favorite Hotel & Restaurant

    Mr. K at the lobby was very kind and made me happy. Mr. K at the front desk was also polite and perfect. Mr. N and Mr. I at the restaurant were true professionals in hospitality, and another Mr. I had beautiful manners. Chef K's omelet from the live kitchen was a collaboration of beauty and taste. This high-level Hotel & Restaurant is truly a pride of Japan. However, one disappointing thing: since October, there have been no replies from the Hotel to reviews anymore. I believe a good Hotel is created through communication between the Hotel side and its guests, so it's unfortunate that it has become one-sided now. Some guests still receive replies though, which makes me sad as it feels like different treatment for different customers. I really like this Hotel & Restaurant, so I would love to visit again. However, this will be my last review here.

    My favorite Hotel.

    I really enjoyed my stay. I visited again following last week. Mr./Ms. M at the lobby is very pleasant and welcoming. It makes me happy to see Mr./Ms. M when entering the entrance. Mr./Ms. N and Mr./Ms. I at the restaurant are also truly delightful individuals, and the food is delicious—it's an excellent restaurant! The female chef at the live kitchen during breakfast is also very kind, and her delicious omelets have become even better! Thank you to everyone! A slightly disappointing matter: Regarding the guest comment card placed in the Room, I fill it out every time and submit it to the front desk; however, there seems to be no response to these surveys at all. I always write down the names of those who took care of me during my stay, but if my gratitude isn't being conveyed to them directly, it's disheartening and saddening for me.

    I made this Reservat...

    I made this Reservation early due to the excellent quality of my previous stay. I always use this Hotel for relaxing and exploring the Kawasaki area. This time, as a repeat guest, I had high expectations and was very satisfied with the long stay (12 PM checkout) and the bath facilities at the Hotel. However, upon returning home, I noticed bite marks from mites on my arms and legs... My wife experienced the same symptoms, which was disappointing. I would appreciate it if thorough mite prevention measures could be taken around the Room, especially near the bed area. This experience was particularly disappointing since it was a repeat visit that we were looking forward to so much.

    A hotel where you can relax to the fullest.

    A truly wonderful Hotel. I visit every month. I arrived early and waited in the lobby. Staff member M kindly checked the check-in status for me, allowing for a smooth check-in process. M was very pleasant, and I was delighted to meet them right away. At the restaurant for dinner, staff member I provided excellent service with a warm demeanor, making the meal even more enjoyable. Several sommeliers were present as well, ensuring high-quality food, beverages, and drinks alongside exceptional hospitality—truly an outstanding restaurant experience. During breakfast, another staff member I (different from the one at dinner) was very kind and made it a refreshing morning meal. After enjoying delicious meals and top-notch service, I returned to my Room to watch a movie using the Blu-ray player provided by the Hotel before having a comfortable night's sleep. This is an incredibly relaxing Hotel! Thank you all so much!

    It's been a while since I visited Kawasaki, and I noticed its development. The area around the Nambu Line has also been developed, which is quite surprising.

    Convenient!

    I have used this place multiple times. It is almost directly connected to Kawasaki Station West Exit, offering a calmer atmosphere compared to the East Exit. Conveniently close to Tokyo and Haneda, it provides much better value for money than staying in Tokyo. The Room is compact and simple. The Diamond benefits of early check-in and upgrades to higher floors are delightful. It would be nice if there were bathrobe hooks for hanging bath towels. The Friday night Music Live is a must-see (or must-hear).

    The Ideal Hotel

    This is an excellent hotel. I visit every month. I have stayed at most luxury, high-end, and upper-middle accommodations in Tokyo and Yokohama, including Tokyo Station Hotel, Metropolitan Ikebukuro, Iidabashi Edmont, and Marunouchi. Metropolitan Kawasaki ranks in the top 5 out of over 100 hotels I've experienced. The staff here are exceptional. Special thanks to Mr./Ms. M at the lobby—always thoroughly checking the lobby area, entrance, and restaurant for any suspicious items or litter. It feels incredibly safe and secure here—thank you! To Mr./Ms. N and Mr./Ms. I at the restaurant: your heartfelt hospitality makes the meals taste even better—thank you! A newly joined female staff member as of September also left a great impression with her beautiful Japanese language skills and impeccable politeness—it’s clear she has undergone significant training to achieve this level of professionalism. Dining here was truly enjoyable—thank you! This accommodation feels like a refined version of The Ritz-Carlton or Park Hyatt—a perfect model for what a hotel should be!

    Full marks if room service is available.

    Due to an unexpected thunderstorm, the train service was suspended, leading to an unplanned stay. We booked a No Meals Included Plan for 3 people in one room from 6:00 PM check-in to 10:00 AM check-out at a location near Kawasaki Station with covered access. The room was clean and spacious, and the extra bed was large and comfortable for a good night's sleep. There were plenty of dining options nearby for dinner, so we had no trouble finding food. However, it was disappointing that there was no room service available for breakfast as we would have liked to order it.

    We had another wonde...

    We had another wonderful stay. This time, we had dinner at the buffet restaurant for the first time with my son's family. As expected, my grandchild accidentally knocked over a glass of drink. When I called the staff, they had already heard the sound and promptly came with several cloths to clean up. They even took care to ensure that the bag on the chair was not affected. My husband (the grandfather) was impressed and said, "A well-managed place really does things differently." Thank you so much. Although there are no brand shops, shopping is enjoyable here, and you can find a variety of meals from takeout to Japanese, Western, or Chinese cuisine without any trouble. While accommodation costs in hotels within Tokyo have risen even on weekdays, their hospitality remains excellent. Whether it's raining or under scorching sun, there's no need for an umbrella here. Just three stops and 20 minutes from Tokyo Station—this is highly recommended for housewives looking for a break from household chores!

    Highly satisfied

    I always use this accommodation as my regular stay when visiting Kawasaki. It is very quiet, and the bathroom with a washing area is highly convenient and satisfying. Although I didn't use it this time, the buffet at the restaurant on the first floor is also very satisfying.

    A clean Hotel with excellent convenience near the station and high soundproofing.

    Upon entering the Hotel, I was greeted immediately, and check-in was completed smoothly. The Room faced the railway tracks, but I was impressed by its high soundproofing. The bed was spacious and comfortable to sleep on, and the TV could be angled for convenient viewing. The bathroom was separate with a large bathtub for a relaxing soak, and a chair was provided in the washing area. The toilet being separate was also a nice feature. Breakfast was delicious overall, especially the tea rice with chestnut sticky rice, clam miso soup, meat and potato stew, and grated yam—all exceptionally tasty. A standout point was the cheerful greetings from all staff members. The service at both the front desk and breakfast venue left a very positive impression with their pleasant hospitality.

    This is the second time.

    Last time, we stayed with a dinner-included plan, and this time, since it was my husband's birthday, we requested an optional birthday plate. Even though my husband rarely says something is delicious on his own, he said "This is delicious" while eating. He was so happy with the surprise plate that he kept saying he couldn't eat anymore but still enjoyed it. The breakfast was impressive for the price; they brought omelets to the table and even had fruits, which is rare these days. Thanks to IKYU's special offer, we could relax with a 2 PM check-in and 1 PM check-out. We would love to visit again if we have the chance!

    Equivalent to a luxury Hotel.

    An exceptional Hotel. I visit every month. It offers the same quality as a Forbes Five-Star Luxury Hotel, truly a pride of Japan. After completing check-in, I headed to the elevator. Mr./Ms. M kindly pressed the elevator button and waited for me, offering a warm greeting that made me feel wonderful. A true luxury hotel experience. The restaurant is also outstanding. The hospitality of the manager and staff is remarkable. When my hand towel became dirty and I was in need of a new one, Mr./Ms. I discreetly provided a fresh one without being asked—an incredible ability to anticipate guests' needs. A luxury hotel indeed. Mr./Ms. I also took great care of me during breakfast time, with every word filled with genuine sincerity—a hallmark of a luxury hotel. As I completed check-out and prepared to leave, Mr./Ms. M once again offered an exceptionally polite farewell greeting—pure luxury. From entering to leaving the entrance, it’s rare to find such an impeccable Hotel experience anywhere else. I’m glad I came here. Thank you very much to all the staff!

    I always choose this...

    I always choose this place for its convenient access. When I requested a glass to drink in the Room, they kindly provided a ceramic one instead of the usual, which warmed my heart with their thoughtful gesture. Additionally, since my wine had a cork, I asked for help opening it, and a sommelier personally opened it right in front of me—an experience that truly impressed me. However, I was slightly disappointed to find some hair from the previous guest on the Room's hairdryer, which is why I had to deduct points. Overall though, I am very satisfied and will definitely stay here again!

    This is our 4th year using the facility during Festa Summer Muza!

    My summer tradition, Festa Summer Muza, becomes even more enjoyable with a stay at the Metropolitan Kawasaki Hotel right next to Muza. This marks my fourth year staying here, and I also used it during a long opera performance last winter. This year, amidst the extreme heat and crowds, I was able to fully enjoy the concert without the stress of returning to Tokyo afterward. As always, the hotel staff provided exceptional care and attention. The Room and bathroom were as comfortable as ever, allowing me to relax completely. Thank you very much! I plan to stay again this fall for the grand performance of "St. Matthew Passion" at Muza Kawasaki. I'm already looking forward to focusing on enjoying the music without worrying about traveling back afterward! Thank you in advance for your hospitality!

    A wonderful Hotel.

    I stayed here last month and had such a comfortable experience that I decided to return. This is a wonderful hotel. Great accessibility, bathrooms with washing areas, separate pajamas, a clean and well-maintained laundry room, and even Blu-ray rentals were available. The restaurant offers high-quality dining. Truly an excellent hotel. But above all, the staff's professionalism stands out. The front desk staff were kind, polite, clear, and concise—like a perfect example of what front desk service should be. I was able to check in feeling absolutely great. Thank you, K! The restaurant is also fantastic. This time my purpose for revisiting was to meet T again after receiving exceptional service last month that left me deeply impressed. Beautiful posture, graceful manners, and elegant Japanese—the ideal image of restaurant staff! The delicious and high-quality cuisine was also outstanding. It was an incredibly satisfying day!

    The parking lot is a bit confusing, like a maze. However,

    The Facility feels a bit cheap and matches the price, but it's cleaner and more relaxing than staying at the nearby Business Hotel, so I've used it several times. Having separate bath and toilet is also a plus. There's a Tully's Coffee and convenience store downstairs (in another Facility), and Lazona Kawasaki is just about a 3-minute walk away, making the location quite convenient. The café next to the Hotel front desk has a wide variety of drink options, which I really like. However, the parking lot feels like a maze—it's hard to navigate and inconvenient, which is a downside. Can't something be done about this?

    Is it an expensive Business Hotel?

    This Hotel is conveniently located in Kawasaki and has been my go-to choice. However, the customer service feels strictly by the manual, lacking any effort to understand guests personally. Details such as parking preferences, check-out times, or preferred rooms are yet to be remembered despite frequent visits. The male front desk staff often appear unmotivated, which can dampen one's mood. While basic service is provided, there seems to be a lack of genuine hospitality or attentiveness. With no room service or special care offered, if this Business Hotel aims to cater only at a basic level, perhaps pricing should reflect that accordingly.

    This is my regular accommodation for business trips to Tokyo. My favorites are the spacious bathroom with a washing area and the extremely comfortable bed. The room is also very quiet, allowing for a relaxing stay.

    Wonderful staff members

    I arrived a bit early and planned to wait in the lobby until check-in time. A staff member kindly approached me and checked if my Room was ready. Wonderful service. At the dinner restaurant, as I was leaving, a staff member said, "Have a restful night. We look forward to seeing you at breakfast." Amazing hospitality. The same staff member greeted me during breakfast with, "Did you have a good rest?" Truly exceptional service. The dedication of all the staff to making guests feel welcome was evident and remarkable. Conveniently located near Kawasaki Station. The bathroom is user-friendly, and the quality of food & beverages at the restaurant is excellent. This is truly an outstanding Hotel!

    Very comfortable

    The staff at the Hotel always provide excellent service. The Room is very clean and comfortable to stay in. Thank you as always. This is the second time I have noticed a group of people eating convenience store hot snacks and talking loudly in the lobby at night. Since the lobby is a public space visible to many guests, it might be better if such activities were done inside their Rooms to maintain decorum.

    Beyond Expectations! Metropolitan Kawasaki

    This was my first time using this service. I chose it because of the reasonable price and good reviews, and it exceeded my expectations. First, the hotel staff's hospitality was excellent. The shared areas and rooms had a chic and calming design, and everything was very clean. The guest room was spacious at 30 square meters, allowing for a comfortable stay. I had breakfast three times during my stay; it was a Japanese-Western buffet with plenty of variety, so I never got bored and enjoyed every meal. The location is also great—just steps from the station—with restaurants and convenience stores nearby, making it very convenient. I've already booked this hotel for my next trip to Tokyo! Hoping there won't be any sudden price increases!

    Relax during Golden Week!

    It was very comfortable. The bath was especially spacious and relaxing. Also, since the plan included a 1:00 PM checkout, I truly enjoyed the hotel life. I have already made my next reservation. Next time, I'll try it with breakfast included!

    Two-Night Stay During Golden Week

    We stayed at the accommodation during our family trip to Yokohama and Kamakura. It was conveniently located near Kawasaki Station, making transportation easy, and the hotel staff's attentiveness was excellent. The bath amenities, including bath salts, were much appreciated. It would have been even better if there had been a mirror in the bathroom. We look forward to staying at this hotel again.

    Stayed with the no-breakfast Plan, but...

    Finally, I joined the long-awaited breakfast buffet with a little encouragement from my friend! It’s incredibly convenient that you can always check the restaurant's crowd level and even the washing machine status on the room TV. I went around 9 AM, and there were still plenty of dishes available. I enjoyed it so much that I ended up eating more than enough! The omelet was fluffy and creamy, and the chef was very polite. The system where they deliver it to your table is something you don’t often see at hotel buffets—impressive! A staff member also informed me that second servings are available, which surprised me since many hotels limit egg dishes to one per person. This was such a delightful surprise! By the way, is it possible to order scrambled eggs or other styles besides omelets? Whenever friends visit Japan from overseas, I always choose Metropolitan Kawasaki for their stay. One of my friends stayed here about a year and a half ago during her last visit and loved it so much she called it "My Home." This time, due to work circumstances making future visits difficult for her, we planned an extended stay in Kyoto for her first experience there. However, she kept asking if we could also stay at "My Home," so despite our tight schedule, we managed to book this accommodation for our final night in Japan. It was supposed to be a surprise but as soon as we walked towards the hotel from Kawasaki Station she exclaimed with joy: “I remember this place—it’s where My Home is!” Her excitement made even me feel proud as a Kawasaki resident! The staff's warm smiles and excellent service create such comfort that makes you want to return immediately after leaving. Although not categorized as a luxury hotel by name or price point—the facilities (TVs, bathrooms, beds & laundry services) along with their exceptional service rival those of high-end hotels in areas like Minato Mirai or Yokohama—and perhaps even surpass them in some ways! Their genuine responses—not copy-pasted ones—to reviews or suggestions sent via surveys show how seriously they value customer feedback. What’s truly remarkable is how quickly they implement improvements based on these suggestions—a testament to their dedication. I’m sure many guests share my admiration for this level of care and attention! As someone who lives in Kawasaki City myself—I look forward eagerly until next time when I can once again stay at what feels like my second home here at Metropolitan Kawasaki!
