    Things that caught my attention

    Although I stayed this time to make up for a previous Reservation I couldn’t use due to illness, I couldn’t sleep because the outside noise was too loud—perhaps because the Room was on a lower floor or because the openings were large. Also, there is an object with rod-like bars between the bed and the sofa, and when watching TV from the bed it blocked the view and made it hard to see. As for breakfast, finished omelet plates were shifted and stacked, so an upper plate was resting on top of the omelet on the plate below. I understand you may need to prepare many servings, but since this involves food, I hope you will consider using smaller plates or providing more space for placement.

    I’m satisfied with this great Hotel.

    I stayed at this Hotel for the first time after wanting to for a long time. I stayed in a Room with a terrace, and it was spacious enough to relax comfortably on the terrace or sofa. The Room was also kept very clean, which I was happy with. Breakfast was delicious as well. I would like to stay again.

    There is nothing distinctly Kyoto about it.

    A new, business-like city Hotel with none of the Kyoto atmosphere. The service was cold, with no sense of hospitality. The view from the Room was nothing special. The Hotel name is just wishful thinking—it’s not like that at all. It’s not worth the price. It said that if you ask the staff, they will peel a kiwi fruit. I asked, but they only cut it in half and did not peel it. That pretty much sums up this Hotel—everything felt like that.

    Healing

    I have stayed here several times. They kindly assisted with check-in and check-out, and stored my luggage. They were also very helpful when I picked it up. I had a comfortable and pleasant stay. Thank you very much. I look forward to staying again.

    You might not even feel like sightseeing in Kyoto!

    The spaces beyond the Room are also thoughtfully designed and very comfortable. Dinner felt refreshingly different from my usual image of Italian cuisine. Breakfast at the same restaurant offered a wide variety of options and was truly delicious. The various shops have unique selections, making it enjoyable to spend time there, and at the adjacent Takashimaya you can find all the well-known Kyoto souvenirs, so everything can be taken care of within the Hotel. I liked it so much that I would definitely like to stay at this Hotel again.

    We truly had a wonderful stay.

    I suddenly decided I wanted to see the illuminated To-ji Temple and made a Reservation. It seems my Room was upgraded, and I was able to stay in a very spacious Room with a terrace. There were multiple sinks, the bathroom had a wonderful bathtub, and the sofa was very comfortable—truly a lovely Hotel. Because I have dietary restrictions, I ordered a salad via room service, and it was delicious—I was genuinely impressed. When I asked if they could warm up my packaged brown rice, they handled it so carefully that I felt truly grateful. I was moved to find such an excellent Hotel. Whenever I visit Kyoto, I usually stay at a Hotel near Kyoto Station, but from now on I’d like to stay here as well. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality this time!! I look forward to staying again next time.

    Satisfied with everything!

    I was put in charge of arranging a one-night trip to Kyoto with a family we know, so I made a Reservation at GOOD NATURE, which I had stayed at once before. The Room last time was wonderful, but this time we were upgraded and were able to enjoy an even more relaxing stay—everyone was delighted. Breakfast was also very satisfying: a Japanese and Western buffet that showed great care in the ingredients. Personally, my favorites are the made-to-order omelet and the luxurious roast beef in the morning. With Kyoto Takashimaya right next door, the location is excellent, so I would definitely like to stay here again next time.

    Perfect

    I stayed here during my niece's wedding in Kyoto after a long time. The train access is excellent, and being next to Takashimaya makes it very convenient. The location is close to Gion, and although the wedding was at a hotel near Kyoto Station, I could walk back while enjoying a stroll. Along the way, there were various eateries, making it truly convenient. The Hotel is clean, and although I only had breakfast, the food was delicious. It was a very satisfying stay. I would definitely love to stay at this Hotel again next time!

    A Hotel Where You Can Enjoy Tranquility in the City

    The hotel offers excellent access, being just a short walk to Hankyu trains and department stores, with restaurants and food shops available within the facility. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bath, bed, and sofa. However, the terrace we were looking forward to was less usable as the opposite room was unexpectedly very close. The lounge was cozy and pleasantly free from crowds often seen in other hotels. Personally, I found the breakfast exceptional! Each dish—vegetables, bread, and Japanese cuisine—was prepared with great care. Thank you for providing a relaxing stay!

    It was a comfortable stay.

    Stayed during the Gion Festival. The Yamaboko route was nearby, and although it rained heavily this year, the location was very convenient for getting around. The front desk staff were kind, and the Room was very comfortable and pleasant. Above all, I thought it was a Hotel with a wonderful concept. Shopping on the first floor was enjoyable, and the soft-serve ice cream was delicious.

    The reviews were good, so I had high expectations. The assigned room was on an upper floor, but the view from the window was just a building wall and possibly an apartment? The room felt "small," but with features like a separate toilet, two sinks, and a bathroom with a washing area, I understood that space was allocated differently. I knew in advance that there would be no toothbrushes, razors, or hairbrushes provided. However, there were also no cotton pads, cotton swabs, or body towels typically found in accommodations. I believe I booked at the lowest price available. Still, considering the many hotels in Kyoto to compare with, I couldn't help but feel somewhat dissatisfied in various aspects. For dinner as well—having read glowing reviews—I had high expectations. The miso and basil vegetables had overly salty miso. While the vegetable soup aligned with this hotel's concept of individuality, it seemed too unique to pair well with any drink. That day's meat dish was duck; while I'm not opposed to it and could eat it without issue, I wished for at least an option like pork as an alternative. As for dessert—a large tiramisu was served (it tasted good), but I would have preferred something more delicate and perhaps garnished with fruits. However! Breakfast exceeded my expectations despite my usual dislike for buffet-style meals—the quality of ingredients was excellent and everything tasted delicious. It seems there are various room layouts offering better views or more spacious options—but those come at quite a high cost. Most guests appeared to be international travelers (with vegan or religious dietary needs accommodated), which might explain how they can sustain such pricing. Next time might be a stay focused on enjoying breakfast! The 16:00 limited-capacity hotel tour was enjoyable. Overall—aside from dinner—it was great! The staff were professional yet warm with wonderful smiles that made interactions pleasant throughout my stay. Thank you very much!

    The Perfect Getaway

    Thank you for upgrading our Room. It was my partner's birthday trip, and we were very happy. Moreover, finding RAU's Nami-Nami in the Room doubled our joy. We had lunch at Rokusoba on the 2nd floor, shopped at the market on the 1st floor, and bought croissants and financiers from RAU on the 3rd floor. The financiers here were incredibly delicious! Since we booked a Plan with dinner and breakfast included, we enjoyed dinner at El Tan on the 1st floor. From antipasto to dolce, everything was absolutely delicious. My partner even said it was "the best tiramisu I've ever had." Thank you for taking a photo to commemorate my partner's birthday as well! All staff members across every floor provided such pleasant service that this trip became truly exceptional for us. Thank you so much! We can't wait to come back again soon!

    It feels like a Hotel from overseas.

    I stayed one night in a Standard Twin Room. The welcome fruits at check-in were delicious, stylish, and exciting. Although the room was said to be 28 square meters, it felt spacious. The sofa in the corner was comfortable, and it was nice to relax and watch TV from there. Being on the 3rd floor with direct access to Takashimaya made moving around easy, and I had no trouble finding food or shopping at the department store basement. It was convenient since I didn’t feel like going outside. There were shops and cafes on the 1st and 3rd floors, making it an enjoyable hotel overall. The breakfast buffet offered carefully prepared Japanese and Western dishes, both of which were delicious. The tofu was especially outstanding—I highly recommend it! We even commented that this is truly Kyoto quality! Although I ate a lot because everything looked so good, there were plenty of vegetable dishes that kept it healthy without feeling heavy on my stomach. The edible flowers added vibrant colors and a festive touch that made me excited just looking at them. Aside from us as a parent-child pair, most guests seemed to be foreigners—many appeared to be from Europe or America. During this trip where we stayed at three different accommodations, this hotel stood out for having the best staff hospitality as well as breakfast! Thank you very much!

    A cozy Hotel.

    It was a two-night stay with the purpose of enjoying the hotel. Since shoes are removed upon entering the room, I was able to relax comfortably on the wooden flooring. As an early riser, I truly appreciated being able to enjoy a drink in the lobby lounge while waiting for my daughter to wake up. The front desk staff and those who came for towel exchanges were all polite and very pleasant. Even on a rainy day, it was convenient to reach the front desk from Kyoto Station via subway without getting wet—an essential point for me. I had a relaxing time in the spacious room.     Hotel with a beautiful atrium courtyard

    Located in Shijo Kawaramachi, the hotel is conveniently connected to Takashimaya via a passageway. The stay included a 2-meal Plan. Dinner was delicious, served as a course meal with generous portions, and the soup was especially delightful. Breakfast offered a variety of options, including tasty Japanese dishes. Most guests were international visitors (around 90%). The lobby and open-air courtyard were spacious and impressive. The Hotel staff were all kind and very welcoming. The soft-serve ice cream at the Good Nature Market on the first floor was exceptionally good. I would love to stay here again when visiting Kyoto.

    Great!

    I recently stayed with my mother. I was curious about the Hotel because of its good Reviews, so I made a Reservation six months ago (during a low-price period) and finally got to visit. It is conveniently located next to Takashimaya. The Hotel is clean and has a calm atmosphere, offering a unique experience. There is a shop on the first floor where we bought souvenirs and enjoyed burgers and soft serve ice cream—they were delicious. The breakfast included a variety of bread, muffins, and more; everything looked so good that I wanted to try it all. My mother loved the Room as well and said she would like to come back again. Thank you for your hospitality!

    It was a Room where you could relax comfortably.

    The guided tour was very informative and enjoyable, even though there were only two of us. The Room was upgraded, making our stay very comfortable. However, bringing our own toothbrush and razor felt a bit inconvenient. The dinner at El Tan didn’t quite suit my taste; while the vegetables were delicious, the pork was tough, and the soup was too light with no substantial ingredients. We ordered draft beer first and then wine additionally. It was a bit disappointing to have to pay for the wine since many places offer the more expensive drink for free in such cases. Overall, the staff's service was excellent. I would love to visit this Hotel again!

    It was comfortable.

    The room was spacious, with a separate bath and toilet. The washbasin had two sinks, and the size of the washroom was also ample. The mugs and water bottles were cute, though we didn’t use them this time. Having plates, forks, and spoons available is convenient; during our previous stay, we used them when enjoying Japanese sweets in the room. Good Nature's shop is on a lower floor, Takashimaya is next door, and Minamiza Theater is nearby—making it very comfortable to stay here. Breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, all of which were delicious. I would love to stay here again if I have another opportunity!

    Very good nature!

    Very good nature! Simple is best! The courtyard was designed with greenery, creating a space where you can be soothed by the warmth of the flames and the gentleness and scent of wood. From the Room, there was an oppressive feeling from the multi-story parking lot. It's the same on every floor on this side since it's in the city. ERUTAN dinner and breakfast were vegetable-centered, healthy, colorful, enjoyable, and delicious. There are also Takashimaya (Takashimaya) and shops of the same series available, so it was nice to be able to purchase works by artists during free time.

    It was a wonderful anniversary.

    I stayed at the Property for a family member's birthday. The open and relaxing atmosphere of the lobby, themed around wood and greenery, was soothing from the start. The smiles and kind hospitality of the staff, along with the thoughtful gestures for the birthday celebration, allowed us to forget our daily lives and enjoy a truly wonderful time. The Room, also themed around wood, was very comfortable, and both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. It became a memorable anniversary, and I sincerely thank you for that.     Good Nature Hotel is very good.

    At check-in, I was pleasantly surprised to be told that my room had been upgraded, and I headed to the guest room in a good mood. This hotel has shops and restaurants on the first floor, and several famous stores on the second floor, with the hotel front desk located on the fourth floor. As a welcome service, I received soft serve ice cream on the first floor. It's also enjoyable to browse through groceries and small items. The room has a terrace and is spacious. After taking a bath, I went to the restaurant on the first floor. A complimentary drink is included with dinner, so I ordered sparkling wine. The staff in charge carefully explained each dish of the full-course meal. It wasn't just a manual transmission, but rather conveyed in a way that truly made you want to recommend the dish. This attitude is not only seen in the restaurant staff but also in the reception staff. If they sense you are in trouble, they come close to support you. Everyone is considerate. During this stay, I was also pleased with the thoughtful gestures, as it was close to my birthday. If my health permits, I would like to use it again next year.

    The design is stylish.

    Since it is located in the center of Kawaramachi, the Rooms on the road side may be noisy. The water pressure in the shower of the bath was weak. The design of the lobby and Rooms was very stylish. I used the Plan with lounge access. Cocktail time cannot replace dinner. Since there were few people using it, I was able to use it calmly. It was disappointing that the plants visible from the lounge were withered. The breakfast was particularly delicious with salads. It was nice to be able to eat both Japanese and Western dishes as there were also Japanese dishes available.

    Relax and unwind in the soothing embrace of Good Nature after a long time.

    I often used it during travel support, but as the number of overseas travelers increased (I'm very happy that they are coming to Japan), I refrained from staying because the hotels in Kyoto were expensive. This time, there was an early bird plan, and the room was upgraded, so I was healed by the atmosphere of Good Nature for the first time in a while. The breakfast at Erutan was natural and delicious, with both ingredients and cooking methods, and I was very satisfied. The cacao-based tea in the room was also rare and comforting, and I enjoyed the service of thermos and bags, the comfortable pajamas, and above all, the shape of the bath that conformed from neck to feet was very relaxing. Also, the parking service and the extra hour for both check-in and check-out were appreciated. I would like to use it again. Thank you for the courteous service.

    It is conveniently located.

    Connected to Takashimaya. You can go from the parking lot to the front desk. Since checkout is at 12 o'clock, I was able to take my time after breakfast, crossing Shijo Bridge to visit Kagi Zen or see Takashimaya. I was surprised there was no toothbrush! I checked in late, so I bought one at the front desk. The shower water pressure is weak, but the toilet's washlet had good water pressure. The glass-walled bath feels like a love hotel (lol), but there are blinds. There is a water server on each floor, and you can drink delicious water. Breakfast is buffet style, and I enjoyed a variety of delicious items. The staff's response is good. I love plants, so I decided immediately after seeing the photos. There weren't that many plants, and none in the room. It's only in the Botanical Room. There was a photo spot with greenery and a mirror next to the front desk?
