  We had a luxurious stay.

  I stayed here with my sons when they came home for the Obon holidays. Both the lobby and the salon were solid, elegant, and wonderful. From our Room window we could see the river and the sea, and we spent a relaxing time watching the sunset. Dinner was luxurious and delicious, but for me—now over 70—the portions were a bit too large. They asked how much of the finishing sea bream ochazuke we wanted, and I was surprised when my sons chose extra-large servings. The pudding was as delicious as ever, so I enjoyed it easily as a separate dessert stomach. This is an Accommodation I would love to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

The evening glow over Tsuru-e on the opposite bank has long been cherished as one of the Hagi Eight Views: “Evening Glow at Tsuru-e.” We are truly glad that you were able to take your time enjoying the reflections on the water and the sky gradually deepening in color from your Room. Thank you as well for enjoying your dinner. We carefully prepare each dish to highlight the natural flavors of Hagi’s seasonal ingredients, and we also appreciate your feedback that the portion size felt a little generous. We also enjoyed hearing about how surprised you were when your son chose an extra-large serving of our finishing sea bream ochazuke. And we are happy that our pudding was once again to your liking—“a perfect second stomach,” enjoyed down to the last bite. From time spent watching the sunset over Tsuru-e to sharing meals together as a family, we sincerely thank you for choosing to relax with us at Ganshima Besso—and for saying you would like to visit again.   Very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast.

  The guest room was spacious and the view was outstanding. Dinner was more than we could finish, and everything was fresh—we were very satisfied. Breakfast also offered a wide variety of dishes, which we really enjoyed. We would definitely like to stay again on our next trip to Hagi. The sunset from the dining venue was amazing.

  It was great.

  Although the property feels a bit dated, our Room was along the canal, and we were able to relax in the spacious Room and enjoy the view from the window. The large public bath was pleasant, and both the meals and the staff were great.

  I was moved by the sunset view from the Room.

  It was my first time staying in Hagi, and I was truly moved by the wonderful scenery worthy of the name “Hagi Hakkei.” I asked to change dinner from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. so I could watch the sunset from my Room, and I was able to relax and enjoy the sun slowly sinking into the sea. Several boats were moored along the canal, and seeing a small boat glide through the sunset made for a beautiful evening view. My wife and I were captivated by Hagi’s beauty. After that, we enjoyed a delicious meal and had a very satisfying night. Thank you very much.

  Beautiful sunset

  The view from the balcony was soothing, and we were impressed by the generous portions of the delicious meals. Unfortunately, we did not use the open-air bath in the Room because filling it was a hassle, and we noticed a slight odor coming from the bathroom drain. Even so, we would like to visit again.

  Hospitality

  The meals were absolutely delicious.

  Stayed for my mother's birthday with my parents. The room was very spacious, almost too much for just the two of them. The room's hot spring was very relaxing. The meals were made with excellent ingredients and beautifully presented. I am truly glad we stayed here. Thank you very much!

  The view from the Room is excellent, and it is a small, quiet Hotel.

  Stay in a Western-style room with a view of the canal, offering scenic views of Matsumoto River and the canal, showcasing the charm of Hagi. The building and room are stylish, but with exposed concrete walls, it might feel cold in winter. There is also a nice public bath, and since there are only a few rooms, you can use it without encountering many people. I look forward to staying here again when visiting Hagi.

  We stayed during the...

  We stayed during the long weekend at the end of February. Despite the cold, snowy weather, you kindly waited for us outside and promptly assisted with parking. From the warm welcome to the heartfelt farewell, your attentive service was truly appreciated. Thanks to you, my spouse and I were able to enjoy a relaxing and wonderful time together.   The meals, including...

  The meals, including fresh seafood sashimi, abalone, and shabu-shabu of Nagahagi Wagyu beef, which I tried for the first time, were visually appealing and very delicious, so much so that I couldn't finish the dessert due to the generous portions. The Onsen in the Room also allowed for a relaxing and leisurely experience.

  I have come to love Hagi.

  I chose this property for my one-night stay in Hagi, fulfilling my 10-year wish to visit the Hagi Castle Town. It was calm, and the meals were very delicious. The view right in front of the room was wonderful, and I enjoyed a memorable trip while listening to the sounds of birds and ships during my bath, with a perfect view of the sunset. The staff were also very kind. It was truly an enjoyable trip, allowing me to learn about the depth of Hagi, a city with many historical figures. Thank you very much.

  The room was spaciou...

  The room was spacious and clean, and I was satisfied. The room bath had a great view and was wonderful, but the public bath was smaller than expected and felt a bit lacking... (though it was clean). The taste of the food was very good, but the service from the person in charge of our table at dinner was a bit disappointing. Even though we were still eating, we were rushed because the next dish was coming, and while interrupting our conversation to give an explanation, the explanation wasn't very thorough (some dishes had no explanation...), and although they said they would check on the grilled items, they didn't come. The food was delicious, and the building and room were clean, so I was very pleased with those aspects.
