    Everything is wonderful.

    We visited Tottori to celebrate my elderly mother’s birthday and stayed here. From check-in to check-out, all the staff were kind and attentive, making our stay very comfortable. We had both breakfast and dinner, and everything was delicious. The dining area is on the 2nd floor, which is relatively low, but that actually allowed us to enjoy a clear view of the sea from near to far. We stayed on the 3rd floor, and my mother looked out at the ocean from the balcony for a long time—she seemed truly happy. The large public bath on the 7th floor also had a great view and was very relaxing. At checkout, they offered a commemorative photo service and gave us printed photos on the spot (and digital data as well), which was a wonderful touch. We had a genuinely great time, and seeing my mother so happy meant everything. Thank you to all the staff. I would love to stay again and highly recommend it to others.

    Room Cleaning

    The cleaning was poor. There were dust bunnies and hair on the shelf above the bed.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    The service was very pleasant, and we were able to relax. The meals felt lightly seasoned overall, but the main crab and meat were perfect—not overcooked as is often the case with Hotel kaiseki. What was disappointing was that the toilet seat was high (perhaps for accessibility), making it hard to sit on, and there was a sticker saying to close the lid when flushing for infection control even though there was no lid. Also, the dressing table lighting was dim, making it difficult for my wife to do her makeup. Overall, it was a Hotel worth the price.

    Dinner service is especially outstanding.

    I stayed here with my first-grade daughter, my fourth-grade daughter, their mom, and grandma—five of us across three generations—for a “Bakebake pilgrimage trip.” The timing and manner of the dinner service, as well as how the wine was recommended, were perfect. Lately, many tourist areas are full of large Hotels with buffet-style dining, lots of overseas guests, and cramped seating—honestly disappointing—but this place was the complete opposite. The in-Room open-air bath, the Room itself, walks outside along the coast, and the view of Mt. Daisen were all excellent. It definitely made me look good—thank you very much.

    For multiple nights...

    From the moment we arrived, the staff’s warm welcome impressed us, and it was a truly wonderful one-night stay. The cuisine was elegantly seasoned, paired beautifully with wine, and was absolutely delicious. If there had been a hot stone spa, it would have been perfect—but that may be asking too much. The large public bath was also spotless and very clean. With a 10:00 check-out for just one night, the stay felt a bit rushed, so next time I’d like to book a Multiple Night Stay. The commemorative photo turned out beautifully and became a lovely keepsake. Every thoughtful gesture from the staff was outstanding, making our stay extremely comfortable. Thank you for your consideration for my mother in a wheelchair—from the parking area and dining location to providing a shower chair in the room. P.S. On our way home, we unexpectedly encountered chain restrictions on the Yonago Expressway and ended up driving through snowy mountain roads for an hour to reach Yubara. We enjoyed scenery straight out of an old folktale, but being forced off the expressway so soon after getting on was unexpected and quite tiring. Even at midday in mid-March, you can’t let your guard down—please don’t forget to check road conditions before departure!

    I was very satisfied...

    I was very satisfied with my stay. Because of the strong winds, the open-air bath was cold and a bit scary, so I couldn’t use it much, but the meals were delicious, and I really appreciated how you accommodated my allergies. The staff member in charge of our meals was a foreigner, but their Japanese was excellent and they were very pleasant. I was happy to see them at the front desk when checking out the next day. Thank you very much. This was my third time visiting Kaike Onsen, and I would like to stay at this Ryokan again.

    Our hospitality is second to none.

    The Room was clean and spacious, and the view from the semi-open-air bath was wonderful. What concerned me was that it was difficult to adjust the faucet temperature, and although it had a timer function, it did not work. It was good that the staff and manager apologized for serving dinner in the wrong order, and afterward, the front desk staff also said a few words at breakfast and at checkout; I was impressed by their thorough communication and hospitality training. I have visited Kaike Onsen many times, but this time I enjoyed the best cuisine, Ryokan stay, and Onsen experience so far. We stayed as a couple, but next time we would like to bring our children and grandchildren and come for swimming at the beach. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

    Beautiful views and a spacious, relaxing atmosphere

    I informed you in advance that my mother has difficulty walking, and I sincerely appreciate you arranging parking and preparing a chair in the shower booth. The dishes made with local ingredients were excellent, and the staff member in charge of our table was kind and attentive. We would definitely like to stay again.

    The meals were disappointing.

    Every year we stayed at Kaike Shogetsu (the same group) and kept coming back because the food was delicious and we liked the Onsen. This time, we stayed at Yugetsu for the first time. The Onsen and facilities were satisfactory, but the food was disappointing. First, the draft beer: if the server is cleaned daily, you get a fine foam head—but that wasn’t the case here. From that point on, the beer didn’t taste good. Also, from the very first appetizer, it felt like dishes that had been left sitting at the entrance were served to us; both the nodoguro sushi and roast beef were dried out. As for sashimi, only the sweet shrimp tasted like genuine Sea of Japan sweet shrimp. The half crab had no flavor at all, and there was no crab miso. I suspect it had been frozen for too long and they couldn’t serve crab miso because it was gone. As others have mentioned as well, the meat was full of fat and sinew—honestly disappointing to see something like that being served. Breakfast was basically like what you’d find at an all-you-can-eat chain restaurant. The difference compared with Shogetsu next door is unbelievable. Even though they have the same executive chef, I can’t understand how there can be such a gap. It’s been a long time since I’ve stayed at a Hotel with such poor value for money. We will never return.

    The Perfect Mother-Daughter Trip

    Because we arrived by car, we got there more than 30 minutes before check-in. Even though it was cold with sleet falling, a Nepalese male staff member warmly welcomed us at the entrance and kindly guided us to the parking area. His thoughtfulness truly moved us from the moment we arrived. Despite our early arrival, they graciously allowed us to check in. The top-floor suite Room had a stunning ocean view, and the seascape stretching out before us took our breath away. There was a huge TV of around 100 inches, and the Room was impeccably cleaned down to every detail, making our stay extremely comfortable. The balcony even had a swing—another wonderful surprise! The open-air bath in the guest room was also fed directly from the source, with just the right temperature, and we enjoyed an indulgent soak while gazing out at the sea. The large public bath also has a sauna, and from the open-air bath you can see the ocean spread out right in front of you. Bathing while watching waves so calm they hardly seemed like those of the Sea of Japan was pure bliss that soothed both body and mind. To the left, we could also see a beautiful mountain reminiscent of Diamond Head, and we were impressed by the scenery again and again. The full-course Matsuba crab dinner was outstanding—every dish was truly delicious and far exceeded our expectations. All of the staff were smiling throughout and explained each dish with care, which made everything taste even better and left us feeling completely satisfied. The Room, Onsen, cuisine—and above all, the hospitality of everyone on staff—were exceptional. We were thoroughly satisfied from start to finish. This is an Accommodation I can wholeheartedly recommend, and I would love to visit again in another season.

    The best view in Japan

    Enjoy an extraordinary time from your Room while watching the large waves crash. This is my second visit, drawn back by the stunning view. The Room has been renovated and is very spacious and clean. It features not only an open-air bath but also an indoor bath, making it very convenient to use. For meals, I have only tried breakfast during both visits. While there is a wide variety of options, the taste is average overall. In particular, the signature curry advertised on the entrance sign feels overly pre-packaged; I hope for improvements in this area in the future.

    It was my first trip...

    It was my first trip to San'in, and I booked the accommodation through IKYU.com based only on the images. I was mostly satisfied with the room and Onsen, but unfortunately, the dining experience was terrible and unpleasant. We were rushed during our meal, and to make matters worse, we were told to take our dessert back to the room. Meanwhile, other guests who arrived earlier than us continued eating without any time restrictions. We were told that it was closing time for us. The joy of staying at an Onsen hotel lies in both the food and Onsen experience, but this was truly disappointing.

    Christmas Trip

    We stayed at the accommodation for Christmas with my partner. The meals were incredibly delicious, and we were very satisfied. The staff who served the food were wonderful, and we were delighted to enjoy both a tasty dinner and breakfast! The room was very clean and so spacious that it felt too large for just two people. The beds being connected made it extra roomy, which was a nice touch for relaxing! There was also a large public bath, as well as an open-air bath and an indoor bath in the room, making shower time warm and comfortable. Additionally, the curtains provided privacy from outside view, which we appreciated. Thank you very much!

    It was a long-awaite...

    It was a long-awaited visit to "Yuzuki." From the moment we arrived at the parking lot, we were warmly greeted, and the luggage handling and guidance were smooth and courteous. Despite the strong wind, we enjoyed the open-air onsen and also used the room's bath before dinner, allowing us to relax at our own pace. The meals at "Yuzuki," which we had been looking forward to, were visually stunning with beautiful presentation, and the flavors met our expectations perfectly. The staff member in charge was very polite, and we felt kindness from all of the staff members. We will celebrate our wedding anniversary (January 4th) soon and have already made a reservation for "Yuzuki" on January 5th. Although it will be a cold season, we look forward to enjoying "Yuzuki's" meals and onsen with warm hearts.

    Sake and Wine Pairing with Exquisite Cuisine

    Ranked 2nd in the "Breathtaking Baths: Where Sky and Sea Become One" by Nikkei Plus 1 on September 14, 2019, Yuzuki has reached its 10th milestone this time. We have always enjoyed exquisite pairings of Japanese sake and wine with exceptional cuisine, accompanied by the warm, elegant, and detailed explanations of the sommelier. The quality of bathrobes and towels has been significantly improved, meals have been upgraded in quality across all categories, offering two categories simultaneously. Although the number of pairing wines has decreased slightly, it allowed us to fully enjoy even seconds of rice while significantly shortening meal times. By addressing labor shortages while skillfully seasoning delicious ingredients from the Sea of Japan through remarkable corporate efforts, customer satisfaction has ultimately increased—a win-win relationship for all. This time we visited Adachi Museum first to enjoy autumn leaves at Mt. Daisen before staying one night at "Auberge Tenku," where we relished Italian cuisine with a panoramic view over Yonago via Hiruzen before heading to Yuzuki again. The sight of the Sea of Japan right in front provided healing; the clean facilities and rooms were well-maintained. Just over an hour from Tokyo offers minimal travel time for a refreshing getaway filled with relaxation—thank you for five wonderful years!

    The meals are extremely poor.

    Stayed on Friday night, and despite the high accommodation cost, the meals were extremely disappointing. I never expected to visit San'in and end up eating cheap frozen crab from a supermarket. All other dishes were also the worst I've ever had. Do the staff and chefs actually taste their own food? The gap between price and quality leaves a terrible impression. If it were cheaper, I could tolerate it. I hope this serves as an opportunity to listen to customer feedback.

    We enjoyed a very leisurely dinner. It would be great for wine lovers. The selection was excellent. Staying in a Room with an ocean view while listening to the sound of waves created a truly atmospheric experience. We will come again.

    Second visit this year

    Thank you for your stay with us again. We are delighted to hear that you had a comfortable experience during your previous visit, and this time, we were honored to host your trip to Izumo Taisha with your husband’s parents. The welcome drink was satisfying as always, and the sweets were delicious. Since it was cold with snow this time, we hope you enjoyed the hot black soybean tea as well. The overall cleanliness of the hotel made for a comfortable stay. However, we noticed that the humidifier tank had some stains that couldn’t be removed by handwashing; we will ensure it is cleaned thoroughly in the future. The bath left our skin feeling smooth, and the open-air bath was wonderful too. We appreciated having a quick wiper in the dressing room area; however, on our second night of stay, there were no sheets available for it. It would be great if small vacuum cleaners could also be provided so guests can tidy up after themselves as an etiquette measure. Using ReFa's hairdryer made our hair silky smooth—it was a pleasant addition! All meals were delicious throughout our stay; however, since it was a Multiple Night Stay (連泊), we would have appreciated some variation in side dishes or desserts like cakes from Yuzuki-san’s selection. As Diamond Members (ダイヤモンド会員), finding Mikimoto cosmetic sets in the bathroom brought us joy—thank you for such thoughtful amenities! The staff’s warm smiles and excellent hospitality truly enhanced our experience. We look forward to visiting again next year at this Hotel (ホテル). My husband’s parents also expressed their delight over both delicious meals and rejuvenating baths that left their skin feeling soft and smooth. Thank you very much!

    I was deeply moved by the thoughtful hospitality.

    The ocean-view room was spacious, well-maintained, and very comfortable with an Onsen open-air bath on the balcony. The infinity bath in the large public bath offered stunning views, and the sauna was fully equipped for relaxation. Meals were lightly seasoned to my taste, very delicious, and served in just the right portions. Amenities were fully provided with all essentials, including towels prepared both in the room and at the large public bath, as well as bathrobes. The service was excellent; during check-in, our luggage was carried to our room, soft drinks were available unlimitedly at the lobby lounge, and a commemorative photo service was offered during check-out. Additionally, during meals, our attendant kindly engaged in casual conversation with us that made both my spouse and me feel warm-hearted. I would definitely like to stay here again when revisiting Kaike Onsen!

    It was a wonderful girls' trip.

    I stayed here during a trip with my best friend after a long time. The facility and the room were spacious and clean, and the staff was very kind. The staff provided detailed explanations about the dishes each time, and everything was delicious. Although there was an issue with receiving the complimentary photo at checkout due to a malfunction, they kindly sent it later, making it a wonderful keepsake. The only downside was that access from Yonago Station is slightly inconvenient (since I had luggage, I opted for a taxi instead of the local bus, but traffic caused it to take longer than expected). Considering the infinity bath, staying in summer might be better than autumn or winter when sunsets are earlier. The bath was spacious with great views, allowing me to relax fully—completely satisfied!

    We stayed with six family members to celebrate my aunt's 88th birthday, combining it with sightseeing. Having had a wonderful experience during our previous stay, we recommended this accommodation to everyone and were well taken care of. The meals were delicious, and the breathtaking view of the Sea of Japan from the open-air bath was exceptional. Both my aunt and other family members were very pleased, and I felt choosing Yuzuki was the right decision. We also appreciated the thoughtful hospitality from the staff. Thank you very much!
