A lovely hot spring inn with sweeping views of the Sea of Japan right in front!
This was our first trip to Tottori. After stopping in Sakaiminato, my family and I stayed at this ryokan in Kaike Onsen. The Sea of Japan views from our room were stunning, especially at dusk and dawn. The infinity-style communal bath was so relaxing that we never wanted to leave. Our room also had a bath on the terrace, which we loved being able to use anytime. We wished we could have stayed another night to enjoy the baths at a leisurely pace. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed the wide selection of alcoholic drinks. Breakfast was also excellent, featuring a variety of local ingredients. We would love to return to both this hot spring resort and this ryokan.

The view from the panoramic bath was wonderful.
We stayed for one night on a commemorative trip. The property faces the sea, and the room was spacious with a great view. The bath was an oceanfront infinity panoramic bath, which was very nice. The roast beef at dinner was delicious. At check-out, there was a complimentary commemorative photo service, and we had our photo taken with Kitaro-themed amenities. We received the photo in about five minutes, making it a wonderful keepsake. If I had to mention anything, I would have preferred samue-style loungewear instead of yukata, and I wish the hot water supply hours for the in-room open-air bath started earlier.

Cleaning was a bit disappointing.
The service, room, bath, and large public bath were all excellent and I was very satisfied. If I had to mention a downside, it would be the room cleaning: the glass in the in-room shower was covered with water stains, so it wasn’t very clear. I had high expectations for breakfast because many reviews were positive, but there weren’t many drink options and the food was average. Guests who are used to higher standards may notice a few things. I tend to be strict with my ratings, but the open-air bath in the room was also a hot spring, and overall this hotel was wonderful and outstanding.

Absolutely thrilled—completely satisfied!
We visited for the first time on our wedding anniversary trip. We arrived by rental car from Yonago Airport without getting lost. After check-in, we entered our room and were greeted by a panoramic view of the Sea of Japan right in front of us—truly breathtaking. We were told that in summer you can see a beautiful sunset, but since it was autumn, we missed out. Still, dinner was excellent: hot dishes were served hot and cold dishes cold, with local ingredients prepared using the best methods. You could really feel their dedication to the dining experience. Until checkout, the attentive service continued in many thoughtful ways, and we left reluctantly. We would love to return in a different season next time. Thank you very much.

Attentive service
This was my first stay, and from the initial phone call to the moment we left, every staff member’s service was warm, attentive, and flawless. Because I have dietary restrictions, there are usually items in the standard menu that I cannot eat, but this time you made thoughtful adjustments so I could enjoy everything—deliciously and without leaving anything behind. I am truly grateful for the kitchen team’s consideration despite how busy you were. The room layout was also very well designed and easy to use, with a Japanese-style tatami area and a Western-style bedroom with beds, plus an open-air bath and wash area arranged thoughtfully. Although it was quite windy, we were still able to enjoy the private open-air bath in our room. The public bath was always clean, with amenities and towels fully stocked, so we could relax without any stress and fully enjoy the infinity open-air bath. On our final day at checkout, when we requested a taxi we were told it would be a 40-minute wait; however, the front desk staff kindly called around for us, and in the end a taxi arrived in about 10 minutes. We sincerely appreciate your help even during such a busy time. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

Exceptional hospitality
We stayed for one night on October 1. From check-in to departure, all the staff were kind and made us feel very welcome. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. We were very satisfied with both the large public bath and the in-room open-air bath. We also appreciated not having to bring bath towels from our room. We would love to stay again.

It’s been a while since my last visit.
It was my first visit in a while, and it was just as clean and comfortable as ever. The open-air bath was, as expected, wonderful, and the in-room hot spring was also excellent. Dinner featured great ingredients—especially the sashimi, which was outstanding—and I was truly impressed; it really felt like a seaside inn. The other dishes were delicious as well. However, I was disappointed with the wine pairing: aside from the first sparkling wine, both the red and white were served in the same small tasting-style glass. Even if a sommelier selects good wines, that kind of glass ruins the aroma and overall experience. The wines don’t have to be expensive—and even if the pour is small—good glassware makes all the difference. Guests around us who ordered by the glass (perhaps on a different course) were served proper glasses, which honestly made me feel a bit uncomfortable. Sake, on the other hand, was served in nice tin cups—perhaps for promotional purposes—so this contrast stood out even more. Next time I’ll skip the pairing and order wines individually instead. Also, the room’s air conditioning blew strongly directly onto the bed, making it cold; but turning up the temperature or switching it off made it too warm. It was difficult to adjust properly, so I didn’t sleep very comfortably. It may sound like I’m only complaining, but overall everything was excellent except for the wine glasses with the pairing and the air conditioning.

We had a relaxing stay.

The deep-blue Sea of Japan, a clear blue sky, and white-capped waves
It was our first overnight stay in six years. If you’re looking for a nearby place with great views, it has to be “Yuzuki.” September had many rainy forecasts, but we kept hoping for good weather. On the day, our wish came true: a deep blue sea, clear blue sky, and white sea spray. The view from the open-air bath on the 7th floor felt like heaven on earth. The room featured Western-style beds and a Japanese-style tatami area, a shower room, and a round open-air bath outside—an innovative blend of hotel comfort and traditional ryokan style. We relaxed at our own pace and let go of everyday fatigue and stress. Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of variety, all delicious. We also took a commemorative couple’s photo in the lobby. The hospitality from the Asian staff—and their excellent Japanese—was truly impressive. It was a wonderful stay that will remain a cherished memory.

I was impressed by the attentive service.
I stayed here with my elderly mother. Although I informed them in advance, the staff were wonderfully attentive—from providing a chair at the Room entrance, to a bathing care chair, and thoughtful assistance during meals—making our stay very comfortable. We are truly grateful. I would definitely like to stay here again.

Bath towel
The Room was excellent, including the cleaning—very clean and well maintained. I stayed here looking forward to having an open-air bath in the Room. Bath towels and towels were provided, but since it was an open-air bath I wanted to bathe several times, so I asked for fresh replacements. I was surprised to be told to use the same ones. For such an expensive Room, I think it would be reasonable to have extra towels available. I was very disappointed with the front desk response. I have traveled many times, but this was a first for me. It was extremely disappointing. (Later, another front desk staff member brought towels intended for use at the public bath.) The meals were very satisfying. The tableware and flavors were outstanding. Breakfast also met my expectations, with Japanese and Western options as well as dessert. The food was wonderful. If not for the issue with the bath towels, I think I could have had a much more pleasant stay.

Although the weather was poor, we were able to spend our time comfortably inside the Accommodation. What we especially liked this time was the sashimi at dinner. It was not only fresh, but also cut into smaller pieces and scored, making it easy for us seniors to eat. We would like to stay again if we have the opportunity.

This was our first stay here to celebrate my birthday and our wedding anniversary. I’d been wanting to visit for a while, and I found an affordable Plan, so I made a Reservation. All the Rooms looked spacious with beautiful views, so I chose the “hotel’s choice” Plan and booked without specifying a Room. When we arrived at the Hotel looking forward to our stay, we were surprised with a suite! The weather wasn’t great, but it instantly lifted our spirits. The view from the open-air bath was wonderful, and dinner was absolutely delicious. In particular, both the fish and meat dishes had amazing sauces—we finished everything between the two of us. Breakfast was also excellent, including dried fish, and I even had seconds of the clam miso soup! The staff were very kind as well. Late at night we accidentally stained the sheets due to our own mistake, but when we contacted the front desk they came right away to replace them. They reassured us repeatedly by saying “It’s okay,” and I’m truly grateful for their quick response. The Room, the view, the food, and the staff—everything was outstanding hospitality. We had a wonderful day! We’d love to visit again for another special occasion. Thank you very much.

Wonderful
Dinner was very satisfying in both presentation and taste. Drinks such as alcohol were reasonably priced, so we could enjoy them without worrying about the cost. The cleaning was thorough, and we had a very comfortable stay. We plan to stay again with our family, so I would like to mention just one thing. There was an unpleasant cat smell on the Room balcony or around the open-air bath area. Inside the open-air bath as well, it seemed it had not been cleaned, and small stones or sand-like debris remained. We chose this Accommodation because the Room has an open-air bath, but no one was able to use it. That was disappointing.

Infinity Onsen
The infinity Onsen felt as though it blended seamlessly into the endless ocean, and I was able to soak and relax while listening to the sound of the waves. The meals were a delight from the very first glance, and everything tasted wonderful—making the wine go down easily. This Accommodation is one I’d love to visit again in a different season. I had visited in spring before, but this was my first stay in summer. The meals were very satisfying, but perhaps because it was summer, there was a small amount of sand left in the large public bath tub. That was a bit disappointing.

We stayed here for a family summer trip. The hospitality was outstanding. Everything was excellent. We also really enjoyed the delicious meals. If I had one small request, it would be even better if we could order additional à la carte dishes. But truly, in every way, the staff and the entire Hotel were wonderful.

It was wonderful.
We’d wanted to visit for a long time, but we had to cancel our Reservation again and again, so this time our whole family was really looking forward to it. We chose the premium Room, but the differences from the superior type weren’t very clear on the website. For four people, it was spacious enough. Due to an issue, we asked to switch to an adjacent Room, and the response was quick. The staff—including international team members—were polite and professional, which we truly appreciated. That said, since we were on the third floor, the terrace and the beach right in front felt extremely close, so using the open-air bath took a bit of courage. Privacy curtains/roller screens were properly provided, but we waited until after dark. Also, there seemed to be some kind of stand/platform in the space under the futon storage area, and it was very dusty—this was a little disappointing. The Room is quite large and the air conditioning worked well. In similar-shaped Hotels we’ve stayed at before, some areas were uncomfortably warm, but here it stayed cool and comfortable. There are also two TVs, which made it convenient for four people. Dinner was unbelievably delicious—one carefully prepared dish after another—and everything tasted amazing. The restaurant staff were all courteous; it felt comfortable; and even the drinks were great. I highly recommend having dinner there! Breakfast was a buffet and also very good. I was especially happy with how delicious the rice was. It’s rare to find a place where every Room faces the ocean and comes with an open-air bath. The ocean view from the large public bath is beautiful as well—it’s perfect for relaxing. Because it’s popular, Reservations may be hard to get—but if we stay in Kaike Onsen again, we’ll choose Yugetsu. Shogetsu also interests me. Near the first-floor lobby there’s a lounge-like area where you can enjoy tea and juice; that space had a nice atmosphere too. We’re truly glad we came as a family. Thank you very much for everything.

Summer in the San’in Region
Our family of four took our first trip to the Sanin region and stayed at Kaike Yugetsu. We’ve stayed at many Accommodations from Hokkaido to Miyakojima, but this visit was especially satisfying. We were unexpectedly upgraded to a suite, which made everyone in the family very happy. From the ocean-view Onsen and meals to the warm hospitality of the staff, we had a truly comfortable stay. At dinner, I asked for my plum wine soda “light,” and somehow my second drink ended up non-alcoholic—an amusing little mix-up that became a fun travel memory. It was our first time in the Sanin region, and all four of us were very pleased. We’d love to return in a different season.

It was a wonderful Ryokan.
We stayed here because it has an infinity Onsen. Even though we bathed in strong winds, possibly due to a typhoon, it felt like we were one with the ocean and was incredibly refreshing. The service also truly reflected a spirit of hospitality. Many of the staff seemed to be from overseas, but everyone spoke excellent Japanese, and their wonderful smiles left a great impression. Above all, the food was absolutely delicious. With beautiful tableware and dishes that captured the season, we naturally ended up enjoying more drinks as well (laugh). It was also great that detailed explanations of the dishes appeared when you scanned the QR code. When food is brought out, you don’t always catch everything that’s said. We were able to spend a truly luxurious time here. We’d love to stay again for another special occasion. Thank you very much.

I stayed in a Deluxe...
I stayed in a Deluxe Room, and since it was a corner room, I could see the nighttime fireworks right in front of me from the open-air Onsen bath. The open-air Onsen bath was incredibly relaxing, especially while listening to the sound of the waves. Dinner was also carefully prepared—beautifully presented and delicious. At my age, rich meat can sometimes feel too heavy, but the Olein 55 beef was well-marbled and tender without being greasy, so I could enjoy it lightly. If I had one request, it would be to have a chair in the washbasin area. When I visit Kaike Onsen again, I would love to stay here again.

Your Favorite, Yuzuki
My favorite place, Yugetsu, was wonderful again. From check-in, the staff recognized that this was my third stay and said, “Thank you for staying with us again,” which made me very happy. The welcome drink (black soybean tea) was delicious. I also enjoyed the pear dessert! The Room was, as always, beautifully cleaned and felt very fresh and spotless. This time I stayed in a Room with a bathtub, and since it was hot outside, it was great to be able to rinse off right away. The toilet was also thoroughly cleaned and comfortable to use. At other Hotels I sometimes notice discoloration around the bidet seat and feel disappointed, but Yugetsu’s toilet was exceptionally clean. The bath area was also clean—everything around the water facilities was spotless!! As for the Onsen, there seemed to be many guests this time, so it felt quite busy. However, they provided a floor wiper so we could clean up hair around the drying area after use, which I really appreciated. It would have been even better if one had also been placed near the changing area. The changing room felt a bit warm. Also, there was a hair dryer from a brand I didn’t know how to use; it would be helpful if a simple instruction note could be placed near the dryers. We only used breakfast dining this time, but every dish was delicious—simmered dishes, grilled fish, miso soup, curry—everything tasted great. Since we had a Multiple Night Stay for two nights, I would love to see a bit more variety in the menu. The dessert ice cream and cake were also delicious. The sherbet flavor was grape both days as well; since it’s Yugetsu’s food quality we enjoy so much, I would have liked to try different flavors. It felt more crowded than usual this time as well; however، the breakfast table layout had plenty of space between tables، so my husband and I could eat quietly together، which we really appreciated. I’m always truly happy about the commemorative photo at check-out—it becomes such a nice memory every time. I’d like to stay again in winter. One disappointing point: when I went into the outdoor bath in the morning، there were many insects floating on the water، which bothered me۔ I wanted to relax longer، so that part was unfortunate۔
