    A Relaxing Journey for Adults

    This was my first time staying here. The accommodation has a calm atmosphere, and the staff's warm welcome and attentiveness were truly impressive. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, leaving both my heart and stomach satisfied. The same attendant took care of us until check-out, allowing me to relax without any stress. The private open-air bath in the guest room was very spacious, with the water temperature perfectly managed by the caretaker for a comfortable soak anytime. It’s an exceptional accommodation. I would love to stay here again!

    The refreshing view ...

    The refreshing view of the green mountain slopes and blue sea, with Toshima and Niijima Islands of the Izu Archipelago in sight, can be enjoyed both from indoors and the open-air bath. The open-air bath with natural hot spring water flowing directly from the source was exceptionally comfortable and exceeded expectations. Despite the scorching heat at the end of August, the sea breeze was pleasant. Guests can relax while watching swallowtail butterflies and dragonflies fluttering around, listening to cicadas singing "kanakana" or "tsukutsukuboushi," as well as hearing calls of bamboo partridges and wood pigeons in this comfortable accommodation.

    The room offers a view of the sea...

    A wonderful accommodation, and this was my third stay. The weather was great, and I enjoyed the bath in the room. The food was consistently delicious. I could feel heartfelt hospitality throughout the stay. However, the view from the room... The tall trees blocked most of the ocean view, which was very disappointing. It was what I looked forward to the most, so it’s truly regrettable.

    From check-in to check-out, the service was exceptionally attentive and consistent, allowing for a completely stress-free and relaxing stay after a long time. The accommodation was very quiet, and everything from the meals to the onsen was outstanding, making it an incredibly satisfying experience. The simmered golden-eye snapper, which I have had many times before, was truly tender with perfect seasoning—absolutely delightful! I would love to visit again in a different season.

    Wonderful Onsen Accommodation

    It was a wonderful Onsen accommodation. I enjoyed the stunning view of Izu Oshima and Niijima floating on the blue sea while relaxing in a room with an open-air hot spring bath fed directly from the source. The delicious dishes, including splendid alfonsino, paired with a sake course were also impressive. The staff were all very kind and courteous. Thank you very much. I look forward to visiting again.

    I was very satisfied with this excellent accommodation, especially since I could stay at a great value during the 30% point rebate promotion. Guest Rooms & Amenities The amenities were well-stocked, including original onsen packs and beauty serums. It was enjoyable to try them out after soaking in the onsen. Service The staff provided attentive yet unobtrusive service, making for a comfortable stay. Although I traveled by car this time, it seems there is shuttle service available from Izukogen Station, which makes access convenient. For those driving, valet-style parking was also a nice touch. Onsen & Bathing Facilities The onsen features free-flowing hot spring water directly from the source and is maintained by an attendant to ensure an ideal temperature for soaking comfortably. Facilities While there is no large communal bath, there is a lounge available that matches the size of the facility appropriately. Dining From the initial presentation inspired by onsen-themed smoke effects to the main dishes, there was a wide variety of food offered that left me feeling very full and satisfied.

    I decided on the qui...

    I decided on the quiet GYOKUSUI accommodation with only 9 rooms when I managed to secure a weekday holiday. Made a reservation at a significantly discounted rate. The onsen had the perfect temperature and was very relaxing. Dinner was carefully prepared, and every dish was delicious from start to finish. However, it was unfortunate that during this season, the sea view wasn't great regardless of the weather, and the screen door leading to the terrace didn't slide smoothly. While dinner was excellent, I felt slightly disappointed that breakfast and dinner dishes like dried fish were not served as warm as expected overall, which led me to rate it 4 stars. The staff's hospitality was commendable. I look forward to visiting again during a season with better sea views and enjoying seasonal delicacies!

    A Relaxing Journey

    It was a wonderful accommodation. The shuttle service from the station provided warm towels, which was a first for me. The room had an onsen with natural hot spring water, and I enjoyed it multiple times, leaving my skin smooth and soft. Meals were served in a private dining room, with generous portions that were delicious. For breakfast, I chose rice porridge, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The porridge with seafood and vegetables was so tasty that my husband even had seconds. There was a study room with records where we could enjoy music, along with complimentary drinks. The staff member in charge of our room was particularly pleasant and maintained just the right level of interaction without being overbearing—something I truly appreciated as excessive service can sometimes feel tiring. Thanks to the high-quality onsen, scenic views from the room, delicious meals, and friendly staff members, we had a relaxing trip. Thank you very much!

    We stayed as a couple and enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing time with no sounds except for birdsong. Even on the balcony, the only sound was the flowing Onsen water. Although it was cloudy and misty during our stay, so we couldn't see the ocean view, the staff provided excellent service. The temperature management and cleanliness of the Onsen were impressive. As mentioned in other reviews, there was a slight odor from the drain in the bath's washing area, but it seemed unavoidable. We would love to visit again!

    The satisfaction with the meals was low. The expected golden eye snapper lacked richness, and there were few dishes that felt truly delicious. The Facility overall had limited space and recreational areas, which made it less enjoyable for a relaxing stay.

    I finally had the chance to stay at GYOKUSUI, which I had been interested in for a long time. The staff kindly and promptly responded to my inquiries about luggage storage and meals before my stay. Thank you very much. All the staff were friendly and attentive, making my stay very comfortable. The room was clean, functional, and the flowing Onsen was exceptional. Each dish of the meal was delicious, even satisfying my husband who is particular about taste. I would love to stay here again!

    Travel with Elderly Mother We used the Shuttle Service from the station, and upon boarding the car, we were handed a refreshing towel. Among all the Hotel shuttles we've used, this thoughtful gesture by GYOKUSUI was a first. The Room was spacious, very clean, and well-equipped with amenities and plenty of drinks in the refrigerator. The presentation and plating of meals were beautiful, featuring seasonal ingredients with excellent flavors. Despite saying we were full, we managed to finish everything! This Hotel offered exceptional service with attentive and pleasant staff throughout our stay. Thank you for your thoughtful care towards my mother as well. There was a young foreign male staff member who provided perfect service in Japanese—truly impressive! It turned out to be an entirely satisfying trip in every way. Thank you so much!

    The staff were very kind and helpful. My grandmother uses a wheelchair, and my grandfather has difficulty walking, so I was worried, but everyone lent a hand, which was a great help. The meals were all delicious, and my grandparents were very satisfied! The Room was clean and comfortable, allowing us to relax fully. The bath temperature was just right, helping us unwind from daily fatigue! We were able to create wonderful travel memories—thank you so much!

    I stayed at the accommodation to celebrate my wife's birthday. When I mentioned this, they kindly took a commemorative photo for us and gave it to us in a beautiful frame. Thank you very much. The room was clean, had a great view, and we were able to relax with the open-air bath and massage chair. Meals were served in a private room, and the sashimi was especially delicious. The only request I have is to consider upgrading the showerhead to a microbubble type for an even more satisfying experience. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

    We booked two special rooms on the second floor for four people, including my spouse and parents, attracted by the private open-air hot spring baths. The result? Absolute satisfaction! The open-air bath left our skin feeling smooth, and we enjoyed it multiple times during our stay for ultimate relaxation. The special room also had a massage chair, which was a great addition. The "Kofuku Kaiseki" meal was beautifully presented with exquisite flavors; every dish was delightful and plentiful in variety and volume, leaving us impressed with each bite. The staff's hospitality was excellent, making this accommodation one we would love to revisit.

    A tranquil and relaxing accommodation for adults.

    Although it was a chilly day for late March, I was able to relax and warm up in the open-air bath in the room, which provided great comfort. Since I had informed them in advance about my wife's leg condition, they kindly installed a handrail on the edge of the bathtub, allowing her to enjoy bathing multiple times with peace of mind. From the reservation stage, they showed great consideration regarding facilities and meals, leaving us deeply impressed by their high level of hospitality. The meals were served in a completely private room, so from check-in to check-out, we did not encounter any other guests and were able to enjoy a quiet and restful time. I highly recommend this accommodation especially for elderly guests.

    Relax and unwind with Onsen and meals

    I visited after six years. I had forgotten it was my second time. This time, since the weather forecast for my accommodation date was rainy, I made a reservation thinking I would relax in the onsen. I believe I was naturally drawn to the good memories from before. The service, room cleanliness, meals, amenities, and number of towels were all satisfying. Not only yukata but also samue were provided, making it very comfortable to relax. Above all else, the meals were amazing! The presentation and seasoning showed great attention to detail. There was so much food that I wondered if I could finish it all—but it was so delicious that I ate everything! One thing: the onsen water temperature was too hot. It took some time to cool down with water; if possible, lowering it slightly would be appreciated. I truly felt refreshed! Thank you very much to the staff in charge of our room!

    A Property with a Bath Keeper

    I stayed at a property with an onsen manager for the first time. An onsen manager is responsible for managing the hot spring source, ensuring it is maintained at an appropriate temperature without compromising its quality. The work of the onsen manager was excellent, allowing us to enjoy a comfortable in-room onsen 24 hours a day. In previous properties I stayed at, while the large public baths were temperature-controlled, the in-room hot spring water was often quite inconsistent. The temperature of in-room hot spring water was mostly slightly too hot, and many places required adding cold water to make it bearable. It is very disappointing to dilute the onsen by adding water, so having an onsen manager who manages the source's temperature is very valuable. Not only does this property offer wonderful ocean views from its elevated location at the foot of Omuroyama (Omuro Mountain), but also offers high points for its cuisine; not only standard dishes like kinmedai (alfonsino) sashimi and simmered kinmedai but also kinmedai shabu-shabu and dried kinmedai available for breakfast were highly appreciated. The kinmedai shabu-shabu was particularly exquisite. The staff were also very friendly. The property offered valet service and turndown service during dinner time which has become more common even in traditional onsens recently; during turndown service they replaced cold-water pots or ice pails while subtly providing dried fruits which was delightful touch indeed! There were no complaints whatsoever; it's definitely a property I'd love to revisit again!

    The stay this time was in the most luxurious room in the property. It was clean and comfortable, and the quality of the onsen water was very good. However, it was a bit hot, so I adjusted the temperature by adding water. The view from the room was wonderful, and I could enjoy the scenery of distant islands while soaking in the onsen. The quality of the meals was also very high and very delicious. Furthermore, the room was equipped with a massage chair, which I used several times during my stay to relax both body and mind. The service was particularly excellent, with the same staff member providing meals and care for two days, and their warm and sincere service was very impressive.

    Wonderful

    The facility was well-cleaned and beautiful. The Onsen was on the hotter side and suited the semi-open-air setting. Although there was only an open-air bath in the Room, I was satisfied as I could enter as much as I wanted whenever I liked. The staff's customer service was excellent, making for a pleasant stay. The meals were also of a high standard and satisfying.

    Last time, we stayed at Izu Atagawa Onsen Narashinonosato Gyokusui, and my wife, who couldn't eat sashimi, was very satisfied with the delicious food. This time, wanting to enjoy delicious fish again, we stayed at Omuro no Mori Gyokusui. However, some of the fish in the seafood shabu-shabu on the first night's dinner were undercooked, and the dried fish at breakfast was overcooked and became hard, which is why we rated the meals a 4. Nevertheless, overall, it was a wonderful experience, and it has become one of the properties we would like to visit again.

    Onsen & Meals are Excellent!

    I found availability at the end of the year and made a reservation. The onsen in the room was very nice, and I enjoyed it many times. The dinner was also very delicious. The staff interacted with us at a comfortable distance, and we had a pleasant stay. The breakfast was New Year's cuisine and was delicious, but I would also like to try the regular breakfast, so I will definitely be returning.

    Thank you for your hospitality the other day. I enjoyed a quiet stay in a tranquil residential area. The view from the large windows was beautiful, and I was able to enjoy both the sunrise and sunset. The open-air hot spring bath was comfortable, and my skin felt smooth and rejuvenated. I was able to enjoy my meals in a private room without any worries. The staff member who attended to us was from Nepal, and I was pleasantly surprised by their polite and impeccable language skills. I would love to visit again if I have the opportunity.

    I was moved by the long-awaited mother-daughter trip.

    Due to various circumstances, the trip with my mother had been canceled multiple times, so I wanted her to experience the best moments and made a reservation at Gyokusui. Right after arrival, we were served matcha and tea sweets. The cleanliness of the room was excellent, and the food was extremely delicious. Regarding the food, there were many ingredients that my mother couldn't eat due to health issues, and the portions needed to be adjusted. However, we informed them in advance, and they were considerate, allowing my mother to eat to her heart's content. The soft onsen water warmed our bodies very well, which was an especially delightful point for my mother, who suffers from cold sensitivity. What increased our satisfaction the most was the perfect distance maintained by the staff. Their friendly smiles and courteous service, while keeping a certain distance, were warm and truly refreshing. I would like to recommend it to my friends. Please allow us to visit again.
