    I was satisfied.

    We stayed with our dog. The food was delicious, and the castle view was wonderful. We were able to relax until the 11:00 check-out. The open-air bath in the Room was better than expected, and we would like to stay again.

    We were extremely satisfied with this accommodation.

    We stayed for one night during the Obon holiday period. The front desk staff warmly welcomed us. The Room felt very new and was impeccably clean, so we had a very comfortable stay. It was great to have both yukata and pajamas available. They also quickly exchanged the yukata size for us, which was very helpful. We headed to the bath right away. The large public bath was very clean, and we loved that the shower kept running without having to press the button repeatedly! Bathing while looking at the castle was wonderful. The hair dryers in the changing area were ReFa. The muscat vinegar drink in the post-bath lounge was so delicious that even our children—who usually find fruit vinegar drinks too sour—went back for seconds. Since our Room included lounge access, we used the massage chair there, enjoyed some drinks, and felt refreshed. Also, the bed in our Room was incredibly comfortable—I may have slept better than I ever have while traveling. I think it’s a great fit for those who like pillows that are fluffy, soft, and low-profile. The next morning we had breakfast at Mimasaka Kitchen. We already knew it had a good reputation, but it exceeded our expectations—the lightly seasoned side dishes and wide variety of desserts that weren’t overly sweet were more than satisfying. Even better were the onigiri made by one of the staff members—perfectly light and fluffy—and our whole family couldn’t stop praising them. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with this Accommodation. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us during our stay.

    The meals are simply outstanding!

    Dinner was served in small portions one plate at a time, so I could enjoy the main course without feeling too full along the way. The meat was truly delicious. I savored it with a glass of red wine. I also tried ingredients I usually avoid, like mushrooms and squid, because everything here is so good. The squid sashimi was cut into thin strips, making it easy to eat. Breakfast was excellent as well—the egg over rice, panna cotta, and zabaglione were all wonderful. The stretching room and the exclusive lounge on the 9th floor were great too! I also loved being able to buy sweets at the shop and enjoy them in my Room. The peach dessert was especially delicious!

    An Accommodation you’ll want to return to

    Check-in was busy, but they handled the procedure at a table in the lobby instead of at the counter, so it was smooth and I didn’t have to wait, which made me very happy. The post-bath relaxation area has tatami flooring and a wonderful view overlooking the castle. The black soybean tea and muscat juice there are delicious—it's my favorite soothing space. Breakfast is always prepared with care, with a wide variety of options, all very tasty. I also really appreciate the Shuttle Service to the station in the heat. This is an Accommodation that makes me want to come back again.

    The best Hotel in the area!

    My first time in Tsuyama, Okayama Prefecture, and my first time at this Hotel. When I found out it’s part of the Hotel New Awaji Group from Awaji Island, I wanted to stay even more! The staff were very considerate, and it was a truly pleasant Hotel. As many others have commented, the rice was incredibly delicious! The cakes in the lounge were also amazing! If I visit again, this is definitely the Hotel I’ll choose! Okayama—its roadside stations and food—was fantastic! Thank you very much!

    While enjoying views of the castle

    We arrived around 3:00 p.m., and the parking guidance was smooth. The souvenir shop was well stocked, so everything we needed was available within the Hotel. Back in our Room, we paired the cake we bought at the shop with a coffee and tea tasting. We could really feel their commitment to valuing the local community. In the evening, we visited Tsuyama Castle, then at night we relaxed while enjoying views of the illuminated castle from both the bath and our Room. The other guests’ manners were also very good. For breakfast, we chose chawanmushi and overnight-dried fish, with everything else served buffet-style. There was a great selection of sweets and we were very satisfied. The coffee was truly delicious.

    Breakfast rice balls

    This was my first trip to Tsuyama, and I stayed here. The building has a luxurious feel, and from the entrance the staff welcomed me with such pleasant service that I felt very at ease. For an Accommodation I only stay at occasionally while traveling, it truly makes me happy when a Hotel or Ryokan provides this kind of warm hospitality. Breakfast was excellent. Everything on the menu was delicious, and there was also a service where they make onigiri right in front of you. Everyone crowded around, and I completely understand why. I imagine it must be hard work for the staff making onigiri so early in the morning, but this kind of service becomes a great travel memory, and I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast from the start of the day. If you’re staying here, I definitely recommend adding breakfast. I’d love to stay again when I visit Tsuyama.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    I stayed here shortly after it opened, and this time I booked again mainly for the large public bath. The wash buckets and chairs in the bath looked a little worn, but otherwise the water was great. They prepared a spacious twin Room for me, so I was able to relax. Before going to bed, I noticed a cigarette smell near the entrance of the Room; when I opened the door, the hallway smelled even stronger, so I think someone in a nearby Room may have been smoking. Since my bus from Osaka arrived at 9:00 p.m. and there wasn’t anywhere nearby to eat, I drove out for dinner. For breakfast it was either egg over rice or rice balls… I didn’t really have room for both. This time I chose the egg over rice, but it was disappointing that there were no rice balls. I’d like to stay again.

    An Unpleasant Incident

    On-site Hotel parking: 33 spaces (Free for up to 24 hours per night) If the Hotel parking lot is full, we will direct you to a partner parking lot. (Please refer to the map.) For guests staying overnight, parking at the partner lot is also free for up to 24 hours per night. Although this is what the website states, when I asked at checkout if I could leave my car until around 3:00 p.m. for sightseeing in the city, the front desk staff told me it would be difficult. They said the next guests would arrive at 3:00 p.m. Not everyone checks in exactly at 3:00 p.m., and no other Hotel I have stayed at has ever said this. I do not know whether the website information is inaccurate or whether staff training is inadequate. When traveling by car, convenient parking is an important factor in choosing an Accommodation. I chose this Hotel because it seemed convenient for sightseeing on foot, but that was a mistake. In the end, I left after insisting on keeping my car there anyway, but it was extremely unpleasant.

    A lovely Hotel with a castle view

    This Hotel is perfect for castle lovers, with views of the castle from the Room, the bath, and the dining area. I’d love to visit again in spring to see the cherry blossoms and the castle together.

    Sufficient and adequate for business use.

    We have stayed here repeatedly as a family, but this time we visited for business. It was comfortable and more than sufficient for a business trip. If I had to mention one thing, I’ve long felt that the breakfast buffet could use more meat dishes.

    All staff were very ...

    All staff were very welcoming, attentive, and pleasant. The interior, furniture, and furnishings were stylish and high quality. I think the Room lighting could be a bit brighter. Every dish was delicious, and the tableware and plates were also tasteful, so we enjoyed it with all five senses. However, perhaps by chance, one portion of the main Nagi beef had far too much fat; I was disappointed only by that and wondered how the staff in charge of grilling judged it.

    An Accommodation that feels thoughtfully attentive for its size

    A well-known Hotel group on Awaji Island, with a reassuring level of service and know-how built up over time. They’re decisive about what to streamline in the meals, and I appreciated that the flavors are carefully considered as a result. The Hiruzen Jersey milk was exceptionally delicious—could it be offered as soft-serve ice cream? (A strong request from my partner.) The view of Tsuyama Castle from the upstairs lounge balcony is outstanding during cherry blossom season!

    A Hotel that’s perfect as a gift and makes you want to come back again.

    I gave this as a gift to my parents for their golden wedding anniversary, but due to unforeseen circumstances on my father’s side, my son (their grandson) ended up going with my mother at short notice. They both said they were extremely satisfied with the wide range of warm hospitality services, the wonderful view from the balcony, the clean and comfortable facilities, and the thoughtfully prepared cuisine. My mother was especially delighted, saying it was the ultimate luxury to admire the cherry blossoms while lying in bed. At dinner, you even prepared a message plate and a lovely gift for them, which truly warmed our hearts. We are very grateful for all your thoughtful consideration during such a busy cherry blossom season. Thank you very much to all of your staff. Thanks to you, I was able to show my appreciation to my parents in a meaningful way. Next year, my husband and I plan to stay with you as well, and we look forward to it.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    The best part was being able to relax in the Room. We were also able to enjoy the Onsen without any crowds. Dinner was delicious and served in just the right portion size. One of my friends felt unwell during the meal, and the staff handled it very well. Since she returned to the Room without having dessert, they kindly prepared it for us to take back to the Room. We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your hospitality.

    The indoor dog run is fantastic.

    We stayed with our family and our one-year-old dog. The Room had an open-air bath, and there was also an indoor dog run on the same floor, so our dog seemed very happy. They had a cart ready for our dog at the entrance, which made it easy to enter the Hotel smoothly. The welcome sweets also included treats for our dog, and they were delicious after a tiring drive. One inconvenience was that we truly could not find the power outlet at the washbasin. We found the hair dryer right away, but while searching for an outlet with wet hair, we eventually discovered it under the counter; it was hard to see because it blended in with similar colors, and by the time we found it I caught a cold. Also, the hormone udon restaurant we were recommended happened to be closed for a private event that day, and other places were already closed as well, so we couldn’t have lunch. I understand this may be difficult, but at luxury Hotel-level properties with strong concierge service, they often call ahead to confirm business hours in advance. As this is likely one of the most expensive Hotels in this area, I felt having a concierge would be helpful.

    I was able to relax and take my time.

    The Room is compact. I had hoped to enjoy a bath while looking out at the castle, so it was disappointing that the view is through latticework—though I understand it’s difficult given the location. I walked outside to a nearby convenience store, and people’s movements were clearly visible from outside. It was also disappointing that part of the castle’s stone walls had collapsed and construction work was underway, which affected the scenery. The nighttime illumination, with only the castle standing out, was wonderful. We were able to use a space like an exclusive lounge, but there wasn’t a wide selection of drinks or any light snacks, so it didn’t feel particularly necessary. Dinner portions were on the small side and the taste was average, though the main meat dish was delicious. Dining with a child meant our pace didn’t quite match, and I felt the staff could have paid a bit more attention to timing. At breakfast buffet service, there was honeycomb honey when we first arrived, but it was gone when I went back for it later. The selection wasn’t extensive overall, but having rice balls made on the spot was great—the texture and seasoning were just right and very tasty. It was a little early in the season, but I imagine it must be beautiful during cherry blossom time.

    A hot spring inn in the city with an open-air Onsen bath—enjoy views of the castle too!

    The Tsuyama Castle turret, illuminated in a pale blue glow, can be beautifully seen both from the open-air bath attached to the Room and from the SPA on the 8th floor. This is an Accommodation where you can relax after bathing. The baths, meals, interior, and Facilities are all new, and the air-conditioning is comfortable. The food we looked forward to met our expectations, and all staff were pleasant and welcoming. We were able to spend a relaxing time. The only minor issues were that the Room lighting was a bit dim, and the entrance to the Accommodation was hard to find from the main road—I felt clearer signage or directions would be helpful.

    I was happy to stay at the Hotel I had been interested in.\nWe enjoyed a walk around Tsuyama Castle, and everything—from the Room and bath to the meals—was relaxing and comfortable for us as an elderly couple.\nHowever, the pillows were too soft; it would be better to have two types available.\nI would like to stay again.

    Relax with your family

    We stayed again. This time, our family of four was able to relax and enjoy our time. Both the large public bath and the in-Room Onsen were very comfortable.

    It was disappointing at the end.

    Previously, we stayed with our dog at your affiliated property, Biwafront Hikone, and the hospitality was excellent, so we chose to stay again with our dog this time. The food, the Room, and the bath were all great. However, after settling the bill at checkout, no one said goodbye. My husband and I pushed the borrowed dog cart and trolley to the parking lot ourselves. After loading them into the car, there was nowhere to leave them, so we had to return them to the front desk. It wasn’t a busy checkout time—there was only me at the counter—and even though there were three or four female staff members inside reception, we were left unattended, which made me feel sad. At Biwafront Hikone, staff carried our luggage to the distant parking lot and many people saw us off. Everything else was very good here as well, so this was disappointing.

    A comfortable and worry-free stay

    The service was excellent, especially at dinner. The other guests were pleasant, so I felt comfortable staying here. The Room, bath area, and other facilities were clean and well maintained, making my stay very enjoyable. The only minor downsides were that the toilet was a bit small due to its layout, and the toothbrush poked my gums (lol).

    The Best Accommodation in Tsuyama

    As this was my first time visiting Tsuyama in Okayama, I chose this highly rated Accommodation. This time I stayed in the Special Floor “Yuro” Japanese-Western Room A with an open-air Onsen bath terrace, and it was a wonderful Room with spacious layout, beautiful furniture, and tasteful furnishings. Both the large Onsen bath with an open-air bath and the private open-air Onsen bath in the Room were incredibly relaxing and soothing. The Chef’s Dining Sakura Nagi Beef steak & sukiyaki beef-focused kaiseki course was truly outstanding—an all-beef feast that exceeded expectations. At the breakfast buffet, the freshly made onigiri and TKG (rice topped with fresh egg) are especially popular—and they really are delicious, so I highly recommend them. Thank you to all the staff for your heartfelt hospitality!

    The terrace was disappointing.

    The food was delicious, and the Room was clean, so we were very satisfied. However, the terrace was the only disappointment. Even if you want to cool off on the terrace after using the open-air bath in the Room, there is a building directly in front of it, and with no privacy screen at all, it’s not usable.

    Overall, I’m satisfied.

    Perhaps the staff member assisting us was new and a bit unsure, and we ended up having to pay for meal drinks that belonged to guests at other tables they were also attending. It was our mistake for not checking carefully at checkout, but we didn’t expect this kind of error at an Accommodation of this class... Guests staying in a Room with a private bathhouse also have access to a special Room in the large public bath’s lounge area, which was a pleasant touch. The sheets seemed to be poorly finished by the linen company and had starch residue on them, so we asked for them to be replaced. Overall, it was an Accommodation we could be satisfied with.

    Service that meets even parents’ expectations

    I requested the Shuttle Service when I arrived at Tsuyama Station, and I really appreciated how quickly you came to pick me up. The Hotel staff were also excellent, and we had a very comfortable stay. The food was well-seasoned and the portions were modest, but everything tasted great and paired well with drinks. Thank you as well for accommodating my wife’s request to change her meal. My parents liked it very much too, and we would love to stay again. Thank you very much for everything.

    Completely satisfied.

    Unexpectedly, we managed to find time as a couple and made a last-minute reservation for our stay. This was our first time choosing a dinner-included plan. It had been about three years since our last stay, but this was the most relaxing experience we've ever had. The service, cleanliness, room, and bath were all exceptional. Staying on the Sankyu Floor allowed us to enjoy the lounge after bathing and spend some relaxing moments in the massage chair. Above all, the quality of the meals stood out. We chose the Tsuyama specialty "Sozuri Nabe" course this time. Every dish from appetizers to dessert was delicious, and the main Sozuri Nabe showcased the sweetness and umami of sozuri meat that seeped into vegetables beautifully—it was truly delightful. The meticulous preparation left us deeply impressed. The next morning's breakfast maintained its high standard with local vegetables and ingredients—homemade rice balls prepared by staff members and tamago kake gohan (rice with local eggs) were incredibly satisfying. To top it off, we were able to enjoy a snow-covered view unexpectedly during our stay—a perfect ending to an already wonderful experience. We would love to return again with another dinner-included plan in the future. Thank you so much!
