    First Trip with My Daughter

    We stayed here for our first domestic trip after our daughter was born. Since our daughter is 1 year old, we were concerned about the bed, so we chose a Japanese-Western style room, and it was the perfect choice! The Japanese-Western style room was spacious, and the tatami area allowed us to use futons, making it safe for our restless sleeper daughter. The meals were delicious and very satisfying. However, the breakfast hours from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM felt too short for us as a family who likes to wake up leisurely. Overall, it’s an excellent hotel, and we would love to stay here again when visiting Nasu!

    It became a memorable trip for our family.

    We stayed in Suite B with two adults and two preschool children. The room was spacious with two bedrooms, which made the kids very excited. There was also a kitchen not shown on the floor plan, featuring a stylish stainless steel design and elegant tableware. The large refrigerator with a freezer was incredibly convenient. The private open-air bath in the room was enclosed, so bugs were not an issue, and the water temperature was perfect for relaxation. The room's cleanliness was impeccable, and the staff were kind and attentive, making our stay warm and pleasant. It was helpful that both the pool and Onsen were accessible from the changing area, and having a spin dryer available there added to our convenience. The all-inclusive experience included activities like marshmallow roasting and soft-serve making for kids to enjoy, which we found delightful. We also made use of Netflix in our room. Every meal we had was delicious, with plenty of options suitable for children as well—making it easy to enjoy the buffet-style dining even more. While we usually choose accommodations with ocean views, this time we appreciated being surrounded by beautiful forests that offered a serene atmosphere. We were thrilled to have chosen this hotel for our celebratory trip—it exceeded expectations! We even talked about coming back here for future special occasions. This hotel is great not only for families but also couples or guests of various ages. Since many people dine together at the restaurant compared to other hotels we've visited before, we made sure to keep our kids entertained quietly while enjoying ourselves there. Although we couldn’t eat or drink as much as expected because we got full quickly, it gives us something exciting to look forward to next time! Be sure not to miss out on experiencing the Forest Spa—it’s an absolute must! There are so many wonderful things I could say about this place; overall it’s truly an excellent hotel!

    The Room and bath we...

    The Room and bath were wonderful, and the complimentary drinks service was excellent. However, the best part was the meals. Everything was delicious, with a wide variety to enjoy. The desserts were especially delightful. I would love to visit again.

    It was excellent.

    This was my first experience with an all-inclusive stay, as I usually take short trips around this time of year. The pool, which was the main attraction for me at the Hotel, was incredibly enjoyable and not as crowded as I expected, making it a comfortable place to relax. The forest spa afterward provided an amazing healing space that made me want to visit every day. The Room was simple yet luxurious with only the necessary amenities, making it very comfortable. However, having chairs on the balcony would have been a nice addition. As a smoker, I appreciated that there was a smoking area on the same floor as my Room, so it wasn’t inconvenient at all. If anything could be improved, perhaps updating the massage chairs in the smoking area would be great. The breakfast and dinner buffets were of such high quality that I couldn’t believe they were part of a buffet! Despite eating too much already, I even worked off some calories in the pool just so I could enjoy late-night ochazuke (rice in tea). The male staff member in charge of the kitchen hall had such great hospitality and left a positive impression. I also liked how minimal interaction with staff allowed me to feel like I was at home during my stay. It’s definitely a Hotel I'd love to visit again during another season—thank you!

    Exceptional value for money

    We stayed as a family of three, including a small child, and thoroughly enjoyed the lounge with alcohol and soft serve ice cream, the pool, delicious meals, and karaoke. The satisfaction we felt at this price was truly surprising. We would love to visit again!

    We had limited inter...

    We had limited interaction with the staff except during check-in and meals, but everyone was kind and very pleasant. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were delicious, though we couldn’t finish everything. I visited the Onsen spa early in the morning, and the view was stunning, making it a truly refreshing experience. It’s a Hotel I would love to visit again.

    As mentioned in the reviews, the food was very delicious. It was great that there were dishes suitable for small grandchildren as well. Since we could only stay for one night, the time flew by quickly. The pool, which we didn’t have time to use, seemed lively and everyone looked like they were having fun. What I appreciated most was that compared to larger hotels, this place allowed us to enjoy a calm meal even with small children around. One thing I found disappointing was the water extractor (for swimsuits used at the pool) placed in the large public bath area. While it’s convenient to have it available, there were large puddles on the floor in two or three spots in the changing room, and unknowingly stepping into them got my feet wet. Of course, this is partly due to how other guests used it; however, perhaps relocating these machines closer to the pool entrance might be a better solution? Having to mop more than half of the changing room after bathing left me feeling slightly disappointed. That said, everything else about this hotel made for a very comfortable stay. I look forward to staying here again when visiting Nasu! Thank you very much!

    Forest Paradise

    The room offers sufficient space and comfort, with an all-inclusive style that provides excellent value for this price range. The refrigerator in the room is empty, but you can take your favorite drinks in cups from the dining area anytime, which should be more than satisfactory unless you're a heavy drinker. The bath facilities are exceptional. The newly opened Forest Spa operates on a gender-swapping schedule, with men allowed only in the morning. It features clean facilities and allows you to enjoy a refreshing morning bath surrounded by forest air. During other times, separate Onsen baths for men and women are available, offering spacious indoor baths and open-air baths where you can relax amidst the forest atmosphere. The buffet-style kitchen serves creative menus featuring fresh ingredients from check-in to check-out. The quality of meals is satisfying even for adults at this accommodation's price range—be sure to visit with an appetite! I would definitely love to stay here again when I visit Nasu!

    Surrounded by greenery, it was a relaxing stay.

    Stress-free stay. Overall, a good hotel. All the vegetable dishes were delicious. The "Forest Spa" was excellent. I enjoyed relaxing while gazing at the greenery from the standing bath. There were also programs like stargazing and morning yoga. It seems casual and suitable for families.

    The Hotel was very nice, but...

    The Room and meals were as satisfying as last time. The spa, which we used for the first time, was also excellent. However, it was disappointing that a large number of seed-like objects resembling insects accumulated on our car parked in the parking lot, requiring the whole family to clean it before departure. Other cars had the same issue. It left a bad impression at the end, which was disappointing.

    There was a burst water pipe, and from the 3 PM check-in to 8 PM, there was no water supply, making it difficult to use the restroom. We had to go to a nearby Hotel or use portable toilets. It became an unforgettable trip in a different sense... Dinner felt smaller compared to our previous visit. I wondered if it might have been slightly affected by the water issue, but if not, it would be somewhat disappointing. Breakfast remained delicious as always. The forest spa was great; it would have been perfect without the water issue. A refund was provided at checkout due to the inconvenience caused, but since this was our last trip with my elderly parents, I can only describe it as complicated and unfortunate. Despite everything, I appreciated how all staff members provided thorough explanations with care during such a challenging situation.

    My first all-inclusive experience was amazing!

    It was my first all-inclusive experience, and it was amazing. The check-in process was explained very thoroughly, which made me feel at ease. Being able to enjoy alcohol and snacks right after entering was fantastic. There were plenty of activities to enjoy, including karaoke, cycling, and the pool. I also enjoyed the forest spa in the morning on the men's side; soaking in the bath and sauna while admiring the forest view was incredible. Additionally, I appreciated having bath towels prepared in the bath area—it’s a small detail but very thoughtful—and with Shuttle Service available, I didn’t have to worry about transportation costs. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I would love to visit again!

    I had a relaxing time.

    We stayed here for a girls' trip. We reserved a maisonette room for three people. We also requested shuttle service from Nasu-Shiobara Station, and the bus was punctual with excellent guidance upon arrival. The variety of drinks and food was satisfying. The forest spa was amazing as well. This was our first time staying at an all-inclusive hotel, and we might get hooked on it! We were very satisfied. Thank you for your hospitality!

    A Resort in the Forest

    The Hotel staff's service was refreshing, as expected from the Kanaya Group. Thank you for accommodating our room allocation request in advance. The forest spa was excellent. The Room was neat and compact, but the washroom felt outdated, which was a bit disappointing.

    It was a great resort.

    Located in a secluded area of Nasu, it is very quiet and peaceful, making it easy to oversleep. The staff are all very friendly. The meals were highly satisfying. During our stay, there were many families with small children, and we enjoyed watching their adorable movements.

    A Hotel Like the Warmth of a Fireplace

    I visited Nasu after a long time to experience this accommodation. It was a warm and welcoming hotel that I would love to visit again. The kind smiles and courteous service of the two elderly male staff members at the entrance were impressive, as was the hospitality shown by the young male staff member who guided us in the restaurant with his thoughtful words and actions. My husband and son, who accompanied me, were also impressed—truly wonderful. I felt that a comfortable style of welcome has become well-established after the COVID-19 pandemic. Everything here exudes freedom and subtle elegance—not overly luxurious but clean, tasteful, and welcoming in every aspect. The room cleaning, air conditioning, user-friendly toothbrushes—all these details made it feel like visiting a kind person's home with great comfort. The meals were delightful; especially the appetizer served in glasses had restaurant-level quality with flavors tailored for adults—meticulously prepared dishes indeed. During our stay, we found ourselves naturally smiling at various moments. If you leave some room in your stomach to enjoy their nighttime ochazuke by the fireplace, you can feel even more of their warmth and thoughtfulness. Thank you very much!

    A wonderful accommodation.

    I had been looking forward to staying here, and my wish finally came true. The Forest Spa is open for women from 3:00 PM and for men in the early morning, so I recommend visiting during times when you can enjoy the view. However, entering while the stars and moon are still visible was also a wonderful experience as the stars were stunning! In winter, Nasu sees occasional snow flurries, making activities like cycling or exploring the surroundings challenging. However, various events are held inside the facility throughout the day, allowing guests to fully enjoy their stay. Even during the quiet winter season, having delicious meals and all-inclusive services at this price over a three-day weekend felt like an incredible deal. The balance of attentive yet unobtrusive service was very comfortable for us. Thank you so much!

    Once again, completely satisfied!!

    This was my fourth stay. This time, I stayed with three friends. For my friends who were visiting for the first time, they kept saying "Delicious! Delicious!" no matter what they ate for dinner or breakfast, and it seemed like they were a bit disappointed not to be able to try everything! (laughs) The rooms, the forest spa, and the entire facility were impeccably clean, and the staff was very friendly, making our stay extremely pleasant. I would love to come back and stay at this Hotel again next time. Thank you very much!

    The accommodation is clean, and the suite room with an open-air bath offers a great view. The bath is spacious enough to stretch your legs comfortably, and the room itself is large, making it the best accommodation experience I've had so far. Being all-inclusive allows you to enjoy meals without worrying about time and explore various options. The food was also very delicious. It was a hotel I would love to stay at again.

    Luxurious Space in the Forest

    The accommodation offered an abundance of facilities and services that were truly impressive. The room had the atmosphere of a private villa in the forest—spacious, clean, and equipped with ReFa showerheads and hairdryers, creating a relaxing space. However, it was unfortunate to notice a slight damp or musty smell upon entering the room. Adding some aromatherapy options would be a nice touch. The quality of the meals was excellent; while not overly abundant in variety, the high-quality ingredients and flavors made it hard to believe it was buffet-style dining. Despite being all-inclusive, the selection of alcoholic beverages was outstanding, with plenty of dishes that paired well with drinks. That said, the buffet area and its surroundings felt somewhat cramped, leading to a sense of crowding among guests. It would have been better if "Forest Kitchen" had more spacious arrangements overall. In addition to enjoying the private open-air bath in our room, we were impressed by the large public bath and forest spa facilities as well. The massage chairs and pool added further value to this well-equipped facility. Unfortunately, due to rain we missed out on stargazing at night—a disappointment—and morning yoga seemed limited by specific days as well. While we didn’t have enough time during our stay for activities like karaoke or using the pool this time around, these offerings are definitely appealing features! Outside amenities such as hammock areas or bicycle rentals also sound wonderful. This is truly an exceptional accommodation where I’d love to return for 2-3 nights next time for a more leisurely experience!

    Would love to stay again.

    This was our second visit. The first time was with family, and the second time with all our relatives. We love the size of the Hotel—not too big, not too small—just perfect. The staff's service is excellent. Everyone greets you with a smile, and their attentive yet unobtrusive hospitality suits us perfectly! We were very satisfied with the drinks and meals this time as well. The Onsen is never overcrowded, allowing for a relaxing experience! Highly recommended accommodation. We'll definitely be back again!

    The Room was comfortable, and above all, the food was excellent. However, some restaurant staff prioritized themselves over guests, occasionally obstructing their way, which was slightly disappointing in terms of service. Additionally, though a minor issue, there was a noticeable difference in amenities like showerheads between the men's bath and the shared bath for women, which felt unequal and regrettable.

    High-quality buffet!

    I had a wonderful time at Kinugawa Kanaya Hotel before, so I wanted to stay at another hotel in the Kanaya Hotel Group. This time, I stayed with two friends. The meals were buffet-style for both dinner and breakfast, and I thought the quality was high for a buffet. The appetizers served in glass dishes and the steak during dinner were especially delicious. Dinner starts at 6 PM, but appetizers are available from around 5:30 PM. With the all-inclusive plan, drinks are available in the Forest Kitchen from arrival. Before dinner, options include beer, soft drinks, and sours; sparkling wine and red/white wine are served during dinner. It would be nice if sparkling wine could also be offered from the beginning as a suggestion. As many have mentioned about "Forest Spa," the view from the open-air bath is beautiful and very relaxing. However, there is a one-piece garment placed near the entrance of the open-air bath to cover your body; I felt it was more enjoyable without wearing it (as there’s no concern about being seen). Others using the open-air bath at that time shared this opinion as well. If one person wears it, it creates an atmosphere where others feel they must wear it too—perhaps consider adjusting its placement for those who wish to use it?
