2-night stay during Golden Week
Stayed for 2 nights on weekdays during Golden Week. Room with a pool and includes breakfast and dinner. Dinner features dishes made with ingredients from Amami Oshima, each one very delicious. For breakfast, I chose Japanese cuisine one day and Western cuisine the next—both were reasonably tasty. The service was excellent, with attentive care to details. The view of the calm and beautiful sea from the room was stunning. The bathtub wasn't very spacious; it would have been nice to have bath salt amenities available. It was such a great accommodation that I will definitely return!

Good
There are several stylish and wonderful accommodations on Amami Oshima, but this one is the most well-balanced and the best. With a beautifully maintained garden and the kindness of local staff, it is the perfect accommodation to relax and feel at ease.

Third Stay
Whenever I visit Amami Oshima, I always stay here. This time, I stayed at the Hillside Villa for the first time, and the view of the ocean from the window was truly stunning. Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. It’s a wonderful place where you can relax and enjoy the sounds of nature at your own pace. In April, the trees are lush and green, showcasing nature's vibrant energy as it continues to thrive. The large amaryllis flowers were beautifully in bloom, and bright bottlebrush flowers in nearby gardens were also in full bloom. I hope to enjoy a Multiple Night Stay next time!

After considering an...
After considering another facility, I chose this one with high expectations for the meals. While the first day was fairly satisfying, the second and third days were disappointing. Since my expectations were high, I felt let down and would rate my satisfaction as 3 out of 5.

We had a relaxing time with the whole family.
We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days as a family of four in two connecting rooms: an Ocean Villa and an Ocean Villa with Outdoor Bath. The rooms are connected via the balcony, but please note that you may get wet on rainy days. Since the outdoor bath requires swimwear, we brought our own swimsuits. We were moved by the serene ocean view from the balcony and the sunrise over the sea. Dinner and breakfast were delightful, featuring carefully prepared dishes made from selected ingredients. Breakfast included both Japanese and Western options, along with a salad bar, daily smoothies, and bread from "Hareru Bakery," all of which exceeded our expectations. There are stairs on the pathway between the room and reception/restaurant area; during nighttime or rainy weather, we requested shuttle service for safety. Though it was a short ride, we enjoyed casual conversations with the staff during these moments. Our room had a collection of works by Tanaka Isson that we admired while enjoying delicious tea at leisure. The scenery, meals, rooms, hospitality & smiles of every staff member were exceptional—our three days at Miru Amami left us feeling truly grateful!

Spacious, bright, and comfortable Room
I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay, and the Room was spacious with an open ceiling, bright, functional, and comfortable. The bathroom, sink area, and toilet were all in one space—while it felt much different from a Business Hotel with its spacious design, I would have preferred the toilet to be in a separate location. The villa is built on a slope facing the sea. After checking in, you walk downhill to reach your Room. While this is fine on sunny days, it becomes inconvenient when it rains. When going for meals or during check-in/out times, you can request a cart to pick you up at the cart road area; however, after that point, you need to walk along the sidewalk with an umbrella if it's raining. Coming all the way to Amami Oshima only to experience rainy weather with thunder made me feel unlucky—and walking up and down slopes with an umbrella left me slightly frustrated. The food was decent but didn’t feel worth its price point. While there were explanations about each dish provided at every meal—which might just be my personal preference—I would have appreciated if staff wore masks while explaining them. The young woman driving the cart was cheerful and charming!

It was a highly recommended Hotel.
The staff's responsiveness was excellent. I believe it contributed to my enjoyment of Amami Oshima. The meals were delicious, and the Room was lovely.

Relaxing Stay
A hotel perfect for a relaxing stay without a packed schedule. There are some slopes on the premises, but Shuttle Service is available for you and your luggage. At the beach, you'll find parasols and comfortable chairs, making it hard to leave the serene view of the sea. Meals can be enjoyed in stylish settings. Dinner portions are just right—not too much—and breakfast features a beautiful buffet spread. We look forward to welcoming you back for another leisurely stay!

First Trip to Amami Oshima with My Mother
I visited Amami Oshima for the first time with my 57-year-old mother. Unfortunately, the weather was mostly cloudy and rainy, so we couldn't see a clear blue sky. However, even in the rain, the atmosphere was lovely, and the room was very beautiful. We reserved a room with an outdoor bath, which allowed us to enjoy a relaxing soak while admiring the view. Since it offers an open-air experience, we recommend wearing swimwear while bathing for comfort. We chose a breakfast-included plan, which turned out to be an excellent decision. You can choose between Japanese or Western-style meals; we opted for Japanese cuisine and found it absolutely delicious. In addition to the main dishes, there were buffet-style options like salads and bread available as extras—leaving us completely full! Even men with larger appetites would likely feel satisfied here. (We got carried away taking too much bread and ended up overly full—slightly regretting it but laughing about it later!) My mother loved the ambiance of our room as well as how attentive and kind all staff members were during our stay. We hope to visit again on a sunny day!

Everything was perfect.
I visited for the first time upon a friend's recommendation. This time, I was on a solo trip and stayed for four days. Upon arriving at the hotel, I enjoyed a welcome drink at the ocean view restaurant. At that moment, I had nothing but good feelings about this trip. The room was clean and spacious, offering a luxurious view of the sunrise right in front of me. The amenities were well-equipped, and I was very satisfied. Miluamami's meals were truly delicious; even with my small appetite, the portions were just right for me to finish everything, making meal times something to look forward to every day. Since it was off-season, we almost had the private beach all to ourselves and could spend our time comfortably within the hotel as well. Thanks to Miluamami (Miruamami), this Amami Oshima trip became an unforgettable memory! Thank you very much! It has become a property that I definitely want to visit again.

I was able to relax ...
I was able to relax while listening to the sound of the waves in the outdoor bath. Both the guest room and the service were satisfactory, and the meals were delicious. During the coldest wave in Amami Oshima, the Shuttle Service with the cart was helpful. The sea is right in front, making it convenient during the season when you can swim. It’s a great place to enjoy peace and quiet.

I want to visit Amami again.
I visited Amami Oshima for the first time. I consulted with the staff at Miru Amami about activities several times before going. Their responses were prompt and easy to understand. On the guided tour reserved through the Hotel, we saw spectacular views in places we couldn't have reached on our own. We had a fulfilling 4-day, 3-night trip. The meals, both breakfast and dinner, were excellent. We enjoyed each dish made with local ingredients. I tried kokuto shochu, which I don't usually drink, and became a fan. The bath was spacious. Since Amami is not an Onsen, I rate it 4 stars.

It was a lovely Room.
I stayed in a stylish Room. As soon as I stepped into the Room, I could see the sea through the arched window. The Room was lovely, especially the sofa by the window and the bath were great. I stayed for two nights, and the dinner menu was different each night, which was enjoyable. It was delicious. For breakfast, I chose Japanese cuisine. The first time I had porridge, and the second time I had white rice. There were many side dishes, and the salad buffet was nice. The pancakes and hamburgers for lunch were also delicious. The restaurant with a sea view was beautiful at sunrise and sunset. There was a free laundry service available, which was convenient. I experienced snorkeling and SUP activities. The staff from both companies were very kind and took many photos for us. I was able to make a memorable trip.
