    Thank you very much for your continued support this year.

    We stay here every year, and this time we stayed in the newly built Accommodation wing. It is very close to the parking lot and restaurant, which was extremely convenient for our family as we come and go often. We especially appreciated that there were no stairs or slopes to climb, which was a big plus.\nOn the other hand, it felt a bit farther from the beach (only in comparison with the other Accommodation wings), so opinions differed within our family—but either way, we had a comfortable stay.\nCompared with the previous Accommodation wing, the shower room felt somewhat smaller, giving it a slightly more adult-oriented feel.\nBoth breakfast and dinner were excellent; everything was delicious. The staff’s service and teamwork were as attentive as ever, with great hospitality. We were also very happy to see additional washing machines installed.\nWe would love to stay again next year and beyond—thank you very much.

    Be soothed by Amami Blue

    For the past 4–5 years, we have visited around the May holidays, but this time we came to Amami during the July holiday weekend. Instead of the unsettled weather before the rainy season, we enjoyed consecutive clear days and were soothed by Amami’s truly beautiful blue sea and sea turtles. As always, the staff’s outstanding hospitality and pleasant conversations make us want to come back again. The Room is a comfortable size, and soaking in the outdoor bath on the deck while looking up at the starry sky—along with the tropical plants in view—really helps you unwind. With tasteful amenities and consistently fun, delicious meals, this is a Hotel where you can take your time and enjoy both breakfast and dinner at a relaxed pace, truly feeling like you’re on holiday. We plan to visit again next July. Since I love Hawaii, I’m planning another trip next month as well—but this feels like what you’d choose in Hawaii when you want to relax on an outer island rather than Oahu or Waikiki. I think it’s an ideal place to do nothing but swim in the ocean and enjoy how wonderful it feels to gaze at a star-filled sky.

    I had planned to stay for 3 days and 2 nights, but my flight to Amami was suddenly canceled, so it became a one-night stay. Even though it was a last-minute change, you kindly agreed to switch to one night. On the day, the Shuttle Service driver and all the staff were very considerate, and they prepared my Room so I could check in early. It was very comfortable—thank you very much.

    The hospitality is excellent.

    I have traveled to Amami several times, but this was my first stay in the northern area. All staff worked seamlessly as a team and provided excellent service. I was also able to relax while enjoying views of the Amami-blue sea from the Room. The meals featured a variety of creative dishes, served at just the right time, in appropriate portions and at the proper temperature, but it was disappointing that overall they were quite salty...

    Delicious Dinner

    We had a peaceful stay in a stylish villa with high ceilings. The arched windows offered lovely views of greenery and the sea breeze. Dinner featured ingredients from Amami, and the staff even showed us actual cycad seeds while explaining the dishes. Everything was very delicious. For breakfast, I was looking forward to fish, but we were only asked whether we preferred Western or Japanese style—so I wondered if the main dish ended up being just one option (chicken). It was our first time on Amami Oshima, and I’m glad we chose this Accommodation. ...We had mentioned that we were staying for our 25th wedding anniversary, but it wasn’t brought up during our stay (haha). After reading other guests’ moving comments about special-occasion visits, it did feel a little like a standard stay (haha).

    Your First Time in Amami

    It was my first time on Amami Oshima, and I stayed for two nights. It was very quiet, and I was able to relax and take it easy. Until a few days before the trip, I couldn’t decide whether to do a Multiple Night Stay at one hotel or stay at different hotels each night, but I’m glad I chose the relatively new and popular MiruAmami for two nights. Just as the reviews said, the Room was very clean, and the amenities were comfortable to use. I also thought the drinks in the refrigerator were reasonably priced. I had dinner once and breakfast twice; breakfast changed daily, and you could choose either Japanese or Western options, adjust your meal with a half-buffet style setup, and enjoy delicious coffee made on Amami Oshima. I found Miki that I bought in town hard to drink, but I was surprised that the Miki at the hotel was delicious. We went out once for dinner at a highly rated place nearby, but since the hotel dinner was affordable and everything tasted great, we could have just eaten at the hotel both nights while relaxing there. Unfortunately, we didn’t have good weather this time, so next time I’d like to stay at MiruAmami again when it’s sunny—the beautiful beach right in front is amazing. Thank you very much.

    An early-morning issue on the final day ruined the entire trip.

    My spouse and I stayed for three nights, but on the final night an in-room alarm suddenly went off due to an error and jolted us awake. Two staff members rushed in and out, but the situation was not resolved quickly and took about an hour to fix. It was chaos rather than calming. We had planned to wake up slowly, enjoy breakfast, and relax in the Room until checkout, but those plans were completely ruined. Afterward, the Hotel offered only a brief verbal apology, with no adequate consideration for the inconvenience or stress we endured. The last impression was so bad that it spoiled our memories of the entire trip, which is truly disappointing. We have traveled extensively both domestically and internationally and have experienced minor issues before, but it is extremely rare to see follow-up handled this poorly. The Hotel’s rating dropped dramatically for us because of how it was handled at the end. We never want to go through this again. Without a proper support system for incidents like this, it cannot be called a top-tier Hotel.

    It was very good.

    We stayed for one night, and only a breakfast-only Plan was available; we could not make a Reservation with dinner included. As this was our Accommodation on the second day in Amami, we arrived at night, but it was very helpful to be able to take a cart from the parking area to reception, especially since we had luggage. The Hotel staff were very kind, and we felt comfortable throughout our stay. Access from the Room to the beach was also great, and it felt wonderful to take a morning walk with my daughter wearing the in-room beach sandals. The only issue was bathroom ventilation. Perhaps because I fell asleep with the bath filled, by morning the entire vanity area was covered in humidity. If this cannot be avoided due to the layout, I would appreciate a note or reminder. Breakfast was stylish and delicious, and next time I would love to stay with dinner included and arrive earlier so we can relax and enjoy more of our time there.

    A Relaxing Accommodation on Amami Oshima Island

    The Room was spacious and had a refined atmosphere, so I was able to relax very comfortably. I had both dinner and breakfast. Dinner offered a wide selection of drinks, and the dishes made with local ingredients were delicious. Breakfast included a salad with unique local vegetables and various types of tea; it was not only tasty but also enjoyable. However, since it was my first visit, I think I would have been even more comfortable if there had been a bit more explanation about the Hotel’s system and services.

    I’d love to come again in the summer.

    Everything was wonderful—the views, the breakfast, the ocean-view Room, and even soaking in the bath while listening to the waves! For breakfast, you can choose Japanese or Western each time. Even when we chose Japanese every day, the menu changed daily with different simmered dishes, grilled items, meat, and fish, and it was all delicious. My partner even said it was the best breakfast we had during our trip in Amami. We stayed for three nights. Since Amami is a tropical rainforest island with many cloudy or rainy days, I think three nights was just right—we still got to see the sea on a sunny day. As it was my first time in Amami, I booked too many optional tours. But if you stay at this Hotel, I think a Plan with just about one day of activities and then relaxing at the Hotel or taking walks along the beach would be perfect. Great value for money. I’d love to come back again in summer.

    A wonderful stay for complete relaxation

    It was a very lovely Hotel surrounded by the nature of Amami. The Room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were kind, making it a safe and pleasant stay. I enjoyed a quiet and relaxing time, feeling completely at ease. I would definitely like to stay here again when I visit Amami.

    I had a relaxing stay.

    We stayed for a multiple night stay over New Year's as a couple. The room was an Ocean Villa with a breathtaking view that made it feel like we were floating on the sea. For two days, aside from exploring the nearby area, we spent our time simply enjoying the ocean view. The room's facilities, including air conditioning and the bathroom, were as comfortable as being at home. The meals were excellent in both quality and quantity. It was convenient to check breakfast crowd conditions on the tablet in our room, allowing us to avoid waiting and enjoy a smooth experience. All of the staff members were very pleasant and welcoming. We had an extraordinary and wonderful time away from daily life. The high reviews are well-deserved—thank you very much!

    A place to experience the charm of Amami

    The service, facilities, and meals were excellent. Although the weather on the accommodation day was cloudy with occasional rain, the Amami Blue sea was beautiful, and opening the room window allowed me to enjoy the soothing sound of waves. One concern was that during meals, no drink menu was provided. I noticed draft beer being served to another table and decided to order one as well. However, since no menu was offered afterward either, I couldn't know what other alcoholic options were available and ended up finishing my meal with just beer. It would have been nice to enjoy Amami's brown sugar shochu locally; that's my only regret.

    Exquisite Dinner

    Welcomed by the cheerful sounds of goats, a stroll on the beach was truly refreshing. The much-anticipated dinner exceeded expectations with its fragrant, locally sourced, and seasonal high-quality dishes. The first experience with brown sugar shochu was tailored to personal preferences, making it a wonderful time to celebrate a birthday. However, the musty smell in the Room was disappointing...

    It was a wonderful stay.

    The room was very spacious, and we had a wonderful time. The food was truly delicious, and it paired perfectly with the drinks. The staff's service was excellent. A special thanks to everyone who assisted us during dinner; it was lovely chatting with you while you were working. Next time, we would love to book a Multiple Night Stay.

    This was my second visit.

    This was my second visit since my first stay three years ago. While the previous experience set high expectations, this time did not leave as strong an impression. I considered staying in one of the newly built rooms but ultimately chose the same type of Room as before, which turned out to be a good decision. The Room has high ceilings that create a sense of openness, and the bathroom is spacious. The breakfast buffet featuring salads, fruits, and smoothies was delicious. Dinner was tasty but rather ordinary. (I informed staff about dietary restrictions during check-in, but I was surprised to see those ingredients served at dinner just two hours later.) The effort and dedication shown by a short-haired female staff member in training were very commendable. I would like to visit again during a different season. One minor issue is with the laundry facility—it’s reassuring to have one available; however, reaching it requires walking through the dining area. While this may be due to structural limitations of the building, adding an alternative entrance from behind would be greatly appreciated. Carrying laundry past diners felt quite awkward for me.

    The ocean view is amazing! The Room is stylish.

    Stayed one night on my first visit to Amami Oshima. The room was compact but stylish, with a round window framing a beautiful view of the sea and greenery. The sunrise was also stunning. I was particularly impressed by the thoughtful amenities in the room—plenty of towels, including replacements for bath mats and beach towels, as well as four sets of basic skincare products, allowing for a very comfortable stay without needing to make requests. The beach in front is just a short walk away, with crystal-clear water where you can see various fish. Free float rings, life jackets, and marine shoes were available next to the lounge; we played there for about 30 minutes and it became one of our best memories from this trip! We made a last-minute reservation for the dinner course featuring local Amami ingredients with sushi included—it was delicious! However, being the last group dining that evening, we found it slightly disappointing that when we finished eating and stepped outside into heavy rain, there was no staff assistance or cart service offered; we had to find an umbrella ourselves and walk back. During checkout and breakfast time as well, staff interaction felt minimal—they didn’t approach much unless necessary—but this also added to a relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast offered both Japanese and Western options; I chose grilled chicken with sansho pepper which was excellent. Additionally, smoothies, fruits, salads were served buffet-style—all very tasty! Compared to another stay at Denpaku MIJORA within the same price range (2 nights), I found this place far superior in both facilities and service quality—this would be my go-to choice when visiting Amami again!

    Enjoy the nature of Amami while relaxing quietly at this resort. The food at the restaurant was also delicious. With a limited number of guests, it had the atmosphere of a small luxury accommodation overseas.

    A Hotel to Fully Enjoy Amami

    During my stay in Amami, I stayed at several accommodations, but this Resort Hotel was the best among them. The room, while showing some signs of aging, had high ceilings and a spacious, open atmosphere. However, I felt that having a door for the bathroom would make it more convenient. The highlight was the food. Dinner featured an abundance of local ingredients from Amami, and every dish up to the dessert was delicious. The restaurant staff provided excellent service with just the right balance of attentiveness and distance. They shared stories unique to the island and recommended seasonal highlights. For breakfast, fresh local produce like Handama and basil from Amami were available in the salad section, which was very satisfying. I thoroughly enjoyed my time experiencing all that Amami has to offer!

    This was my first trip to Amami Oshima. I chose Hotel Miru Amami and am very satisfied. All the meals were delicious. The Room was spacious and comfortable. I would definitely like to stay here again when I visit Amami next time.

    This is our third consecutive year staying here, and the elegant ocean view never fails to bring us happiness. The staff were kind and attentive, and we are truly grateful for their hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed the luxury of swimming at the private beach, relaxing by the pool, and resting at our leisure—our family was very satisfied. The meals were also delicious. We would love to stay here again if we have another chance to visit Amami Oshima.

    An accommodation where you would want to work.

    The location, service, facility, and meals are all perfect. We stayed in a room with an outdoor bath this time, and the ocean was right in front of us. Enjoying the bath with such a stunning view (swimwear required as it is visible from outside) was absolutely amazing. The meals were of exceptional quality—beyond our expectations. Even during a multiple night stay, the breakfast menu changed daily, keeping things fresh and exciting. The dishes made with plenty of local ingredients were delicate and visually stunning as well as delicious. The room was clean with ample amenities and plenty of outlets. There were two types of pillows—firm and soft—which allowed for a great night's sleep. All the staff provided excellent service—from the front desk to restaurant staff, gardeners to cleaning personnel—everyone was kind, attentive, cheerful, and polite; it even made me wish I could work at such a wonderful place! There are many tours available along with free rental items like float rings, fins, life jackets—all of which we borrowed to enjoy swimming every day at the private beach right in front (though there weren’t many fish). At night under clear skies: breathtaking stargazing! You can observe stars from either the beach or your room’s terrace; we saw countless shooting stars too! Using a digital telescope allowed us to capture images of Andromeda Galaxy—a dream come true! Shuttle service from/to the airport is also available—a big help indeed. It’s been so long since I’ve encountered such an amazing accommodation—I feel truly happy!

    It was a hotel suitable for young people.

    Stayed in an Oceanfront Room with a no-meal Plan for the first time. The photos made it seem like you could access the beach directly from the room, but it required a detour. The stairs from the front desk to the room were steep and quite far, which might be challenging for elderly guests. Additionally, perhaps due to check-in being crowded, the service at the front desk was not very satisfactory. Compared to other Hotels, this Hotel had a lower level of customer service.

    The location is exce...

    The location is excellent, and the staff provides warm and welcoming service. The facility is well-maintained and clean, making for a pleasant stay. The only concern was the slow filling of the bathwater—while the staff kindly informed us about it in advance, improvement in this area would make it even better. Although it was a one-night stay this time, I look forward to a multiple night stay next time at this wonderful accommodation.

    Enjoy Amami Oshima

    My first visit to Amami Oshima was blessed with good weather despite the rainy season, and my stay at miruamami was truly uplifting. This accommodation is impeccably clean and thoughtfully designed, allowing me to feel connected to the natural beauty of Amami Oshima even from the room, making for a very comfortable stay. Soaking in the private heated pool attached to the room while enjoying a beer with friends created unforgettable memories. Both dinner and breakfast were delicately flavored, showcasing local ingredients that we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. For my next trip, I’ve already decided that miruamami will be my accommodation of choice!

    I had a time that made me want to live in Amami.

    2-night stay during Golden Week

    Stayed for 2 nights on weekdays during Golden Week. Room with a pool and includes breakfast and dinner. Dinner features dishes made with ingredients from Amami Oshima, each one very delicious. For breakfast, I chose Japanese cuisine one day and Western cuisine the next—both were reasonably tasty. The service was excellent, with attentive care to details. The view of the calm and beautiful sea from the room was stunning. The bathtub wasn't very spacious; it would have been nice to have bath salt amenities available. It was such a great accommodation that I will definitely return!
