    Not worth the price

    I was really looking forward to staying in the Suite Room since it cost 200,000, but there were no amenities prepared such as toothbrushes, and the indoor bath was full of insects. It was nowhere near a Room or service worth the price. I am very disappointed.

    When I entered the R...

    When I entered the Room, it smelled musty and the odor was so strong that I felt sick. I contacted the front desk and asked them to come check the situation, but they said, “We’re fully booked today,” and no one came even after waiting. When I called again, they finally came, but told me that the other Rooms were like this too. The Room looked like there had been a leak—torn wallpaper and visible mold. The entire hallway was also extremely humid. Overall, it was a very unpleasant stay. If it were a cheap Hotel, I might have accepted it, but this was a Room in the 20,000-yen range—unacceptable. At check-in there wasn’t even a “welcome” greeting, which gave me a bad feeling—and unfortunately I was right. This used to be my favorite Hotel when visiting Saga, so I’m extremely disappointed.

    Air conditioning

    This is my fourth stay. It’s my favorite Hotel. The breakfast galette is very delicious. The grilled rice balls cooked on an iron plate have a buttery flavor and are truly delicious. The hospitality is flawless. However, there’s just one issue: the air conditioning. I stayed three times in a Room with a jacuzzi, but because the ceiling is high and the air conditioner is located in the entrance hallway, it doesn’t cool the Room during the day even on the strongest setting. I managed by filling the bath with cold water. Also, it was disappointing that there is no air conditioning in the elevator, so it gets hot. Next time, I plan to make a Reservation when it’s cooler.

    A lovely auberge.

    As this Hotel is located in a quiet residential area in the city, you shouldn’t expect spectacular views or scenery. However, because it is a small boutique Hotel with a limited number of rooms (I was told around 28), unlike large Hotels you can enjoy attentive service and support—and above all, look forward to excellent food. I truly felt that these are the biggest reasons to choose this Hotel for your stay. It is a wonderful auberge indeed. (During this stay, it was chilly due to the rainy season so I didn’t use the outdoor pool, but as the season progresses I would love to try both the pool and the poolside sauna.) For dinner, I chose teppanyaki. Conversation with Chef K—witty and stylish—was lively, and I had a delicious and enjoyable time. Thank you very much. This Hotel also has another Chinese restaurant, and I saw Reviews from guests praising it highly, so I would like to try it on another occasion. Chef K, thank you for seeing me off at the entrance and waving goodbye when I left after checkout. I look forward to seeing you again.

    Wonderful Hotel

    The Room is fully equipped, so there’s no stress, and the lounge is quiet and relaxing. The dinner was especially delicious, from the appetizers to the meat dish and dessert. The staff were also very courteous, and we were very satisfied.

    Highly satisfied!

    This was my second stay, with the goal of simply enjoying a Hotel stay—something I love. This time I upgraded my Room and chose one with a terrace jacuzzi—and it was absolutely the right choice! The moment I walked in, I was blown away: high ceilings with an open atrium feel, curtains draped across wall-to-wall windows, a terrace larger than expected, and a generously sized jacuzzi. Even better, we enjoyed the jacuzzi with drinks—pure luxury. There was also a Bluetooth BOSE speaker, an AirDog air purifier, pajamas and bathrobes— every single amenity was excellent. The space was wide and stylish, and the beauty of the building from the outside carried through to the interior as well. I also fully enjoyed the lounge. Both the breakfast galette and every à la carte item were delicious—I stayed satisfied from start to finish. It was such a happy time! Done—I’ll definitely be back.

    Everything was perfect.

    I didn’t know there was such a wonderful Hotel. On the way back from sightseeing in Nagasaki, I couldn’t get a flight and made a detour to Saga, but staying here became my best memory. Thank you very much.

    It was perfect for a relaxing staycation.

    We visited with our two daughters—one preschooler and one elementary school student—who love swimming pools. The weather was great and the sun was starting to get strong, making it a perfect day for the pool. Flip-flops are available to borrow, and there were plenty of towels, water, and chairs by the poolside. The pool is compact but has three levels—shallow, medium, and deep—so we could let the kids play safely according to their age. There was one inflatable ring available to borrow, but it was quite large, so I’m glad we brought our own that suited the children. I had given up on using the sauna since we were with the kids, but you can see the pool through the sauna window, so I was able to enjoy it as well—and it made me very happy. There is also a cold plunge bath and reclining chairs. A large inflatable ring was provided near the sauna area; after the sauna I rested in the pool with my legs on it, and it felt almost weightless! We ordered both Western-style and Japanese-style breakfasts; in particular, the galette and soup from the Western set were delicious and left us happily full from morning. The lounge is an open-feeling Room where you can see the outdoor pool. There are plenty of seats, so we could relax comfortably. The only thing I noticed was a slight odor in the bathroom area, but I assume that may be unavoidable due to how it’s designed. It was a very relaxing weekend, and our children are already saying they want to come again. Thank you very much.

    About the Hotel facilities and customer service

    The Hotel’s exterior design is nice, but the wallpaper in the guest room was peeling in places and the stains were quite noticeable. Also, as during Golden Week, the service was inflexible overall. In particular, breakfast made us wait every time, which was exhausting. This is my first post, but honestly it was “not that great” and I didn’t feel good at all!!!

    Enjoy Golden Week at our Hotel

    We stayed in a suite on the 6th floor. The Room was spacious, with two large TVs, a bathroom, and an outdoor jacuzzi—perfect for a true resort feel. We brought swimsuits and used the outdoor pool and sauna. There was even a large adult-sized float, so we all enjoyed the night pool for about an hour. Swimsuit and sandal rentals are also available (¥1,100), so it’s not a problem if you forget yours. A poncho to wear over your swimsuit, sandals, and towels are provided free of charge in a bag. Gym wear and shoe rentals were also available. For breakfast, we relaxed in our Room and chose either a Japanese set breakfast or a Western-style galette breakfast—both were delicious. All drinks in the lounge and everything in the Room refrigerator were free of charge. The lounge offered sake, plum wine, sweet potato shochu, champagne, draft beer, red wine, coffee, tea, hot milk, nuts, snacks, rice crackers (senbei), mini cakes, and more—more than enough to enjoy. However depending on which Room you book (such as a standard twin), there may be an additional fee to access the lounge and the refrigerator may include only two bottles of water—so be sure to read all details carefully when making your Reservation. All staff were kind and welcoming—we truly had a wonderful stay. We would definitely love to stay again when visiting Saga.

    Breakfast was relaxed and delicious. The breakfast staff were also excellent. Perhaps because they are well-trained through weddings and similar events, their service is very good. I would like to stay here again.

    We enjoyed the loung...

    We enjoyed the lounge’s free-flow wine and sake with petit cakes. The Chinese dinner was delicious, but it was a bit inconvenient because it is in a separate building. Next time, we plan to try the teppanyaki in the same building. Breakfast was very filling, as we could also order complimentary à la carte add-ons. The Facility, including the sauna, was also excellent.

    Even without a buffet, the breakfast was very satisfying.

    As others have raved about, the breakfast is excellent. I chose the Western-style salad galette, and you can add a variety of items for free. Onigiri, a mini steak, pancakes, yogurt, ice cream—you can choose as much as you like. Unlike a buffet, there’s no waste, and it honestly made me think other hotels should do it this way too. I was also completely satisfied with the room—nothing to complain about. When I heard it was on the 2nd floor, I thought “Is that really low?” but the view from the window was lush and green, so no problem at all. I also had a pleasant experience with the service. Since my departure time was fixed, I wanted to have breakfast during the busy hours. I went down to the 1st floor prepared to wait in line, but a front desk staff member spoke to me and said, “Please have a seat and wait. We’ll show you in first.” To be honest, Saga was just a stopover for me, and all I knew about this Hotel was that it was a “relatively new design hotel.” I’d recommend it so strongly that I’d say it’s worth going to Saga just for this Hotel. P.S.: It said you could receive a small gift by answering a survey, so I filled it out—but at the end it required logging into a Google account and I couldn’t complete it. You’ll need to know your login details in advance.

    Stylish and cozy

    I’ve stayed here several times whenever I visit Saga. I love the stylish interior and the comfortable Room. This time I only had breakfast, but it’s fun that you can order as much as you like not only from the main dishes but also from the à la carte menu. However, I was a little disappointed that the mini steak didn’t taste as good as last time. Also, since there aren’t many seats in the restaurant, we were seated in the lounge this time. It’s relaxing there too, but I would have preferred a restaurant seat where you can feel the atmosphere of cooking. Next time for sure!

    We had a great time.

    We stayed to celebrate our wedding anniversary. As soon as we entered the Hotel, a lovely fragrance filled the lobby and made us feel relaxed. We chose a reasonably priced Room for its category, but it was very clean and felt more spacious than expected. There were chairs and an ashtray on the terrace, so you can smoke outside—something smokers really appreciate. These days, most Hotels are strictly non-smoking and it can feel uncomfortable for smokers, so we were truly grateful that this Hotel allowed smoking on the Room terrace. All in-room drinks were complimentary, and we also received celebratory sparkling wine—thank you very much. We really appreciated your thoughtful gesture. The club lounge offered a great selection of alcohol and other drinks, along with bite-sized cakes and light snacks, and it was available until midnight. We ended up spending more time there than in our Room—reading books, enjoying drinks, and savoring a truly luxurious time. Dinner at the teppanyaki restaurant was also wonderful. They flambéed the meat right in front of us, and each dish was carefully prepared—we enjoyed everything. We would love to stay again when we want to relax at a leisurely pace.     It was a very satisfying Hotel.

    I wanted to enjoy the local cuisine, so I chose a No Meals Included stay. The Room, the service, and the lounge—everything was satisfying. This time we were blessed with good weather, so we could enjoy the jacuzzi, relaxing while gazing at the night sky. They even provided sake you can pour into the bath, which was a stylish touch. Handmade cakes were also prepared in the Room—more than I could finish. The lounge offered unlimited drinks, and there were cakes and more as well. Since the entire floor is just one Room, I never ran into other guests and was able to check out in complete privacy—an extremely satisfying Hotel. I will definitely stay again when I visit Saga. I’ll come back during squid season in Yobuko.

    We had to add two children due to a sudden change of plans, and the staff handled it kindly and quickly, which was truly helpful. When traveling with kids, this flexible and warm hospitality was very reassuring. What impressed us most was the breakfast. In addition to an all-you-can-eat à la carte menu, drinks were also unlimited. On top of that, children ate for free—an amazing offering that let our whole family enjoy a luxurious time together. On the other hand, there were a few points we noticed: 1. Lounge access: It seems not all guests can use it; access appears to be limited depending on the Room category. If you are considering staying here, I recommend confirming in advance. 2. Room service: It was disappointing that the food we ordered arrived cold. The flavors should be good, so I hope they improve temperature control when serving. 3. Survey gift: It said there would be a gift for respondents, but we ultimately did not receive one. It’s a small detail, but we were looking forward to it and felt disappointed. Because the service and food quality are excellent overall, I think this Hotel could become even better with some improvements in these operational details.

    A very calm and relaxing space

    I made a last-minute Reservation. The group also has a Hotel in Nagasaki City, but this one felt calmer and allowed me to relax. From the lounge, I enjoyed an aperitif while watching children having fun in the outdoor heated pool, then thoroughly enjoyed the Chinese dinner. Next time, I’d like to make an early Reservation for the teppanyaki and visit again.

    Thank you for setting up the diaper pail and bed guard for my 1-year-3-month-old son; it was a great help. Even though it’s December, I noticed guests using the heated pool both at night and in the morning, which made me think it might actually be a good idea! Next time, I hope to enjoy the pool with my child as well. This time, we unexpectedly got to see hot air balloons from our Room.

    Hotel designed for car users

    - Positive Points The building is clean, and the parking lot is spacious. Amenities and items like hair dryers are of good quality. The bathroom facilities are excellent. - Areas for Improvement Although it was a twin room, the Room was small with no space to open suitcases. For those not traveling by car, the distance from Saga Station requires round-trip taxi use. After check-out, there were no taxis available or guidance provided (guests need to call one via an app themselves). The boundary between the bathroom and bedroom is transparent glass; while there is a blind on the bathroom side, it feels very awkward. Breakfast lacked appealing Japanese options and had no fruit; more local Saga-inspired touches would be appreciated. A travel companion with allergies had been in email communication until the day before arrival but received no guidance about meal times beforehand or when dropping off luggage earlier in the day; during check-in after work, they were informed that their preferred breakfast time slot was unavailable, which felt inconsiderate.

    The service was impeccable. Amenities and hospitality were well-suited for Japanese guests. I enjoyed teppanyaki, featuring delicious local vegetables and meat. The chef was friendly and made the experience enjoyable. Breakfast included freshly made galettes prepared right in front of us, which were absolutely satisfying. For this price, the attentive service felt like a great value. Even foreign guests (likely from Taiwan) were polite and quiet, creating a peaceful atmosphere. It’s an accommodation I would love to stay at again!

    Accommodation for Three Generations

    We stayed at the accommodation with three generations and gave it a 5-star satisfaction across all ages. Starting with the welcome drink, the front desk's detailed explanation, the comfortable room, and the club lounge's variety of delicious drinks and chocolates were all excellent. Breakfast was particularly delightful, with both Japanese and Western options being very tasty. All à la carte items were complimentary as well—completely satisfying! At checkout, we purchased some delicious snacks from the lounge and had an enjoyable conversation with the front desk staff, which became a memorable part of our stay.
