    The meals were excellent.

    Fresh flowers were displayed at the entrance and in the Room, which was very nice. The meals were also very delicious and satisfying. However, the toilet cleaning was not properly done, and bird droppings were stuck on the wall of the open-air bath in the Room, indicating that management did not thoroughly check these areas. This cannot be called a luxury Ryokan. It was a disappointing stay.

    Next, to a Room above the 3rd floor.

    I enjoyed the privacy. The service and meals were excellent. I stayed in a second-floor ocean-view room, but depending on the direction, there were utility poles at the same height or neighboring house roofs close by, which was a bit disappointing. Also, the single-sized bed felt a little cramped. Next time, I would like to stay in a room on the third floor or higher. It will surely be even more wonderful!

    Accommodation with Wonderful Hospitality

    The hospitality at this accommodation was wonderful. It was impeccably clean, and although we only had breakfast, the food was absolutely delicious! During our stay, we didn’t encounter any other guests, ensuring a fully private space—it was perfectly maintained. We usually choose accommodations costing over 100,000 yen for a couple’s stay, but this place offered luxurious quality without that price tag! We were extremely satisfied. We’ll definitely return in winter!

    Repeat visits for the open-air bath and meals.

    About four and a half years ago, I stayed in the suite, and the room's view along with the open-air bath was amazing. The meals were also unforgettable and delicious. Facing east, I woke up early to enjoy a blissful moment watching the beautiful sunrise over the sea from the open-air bath with champagne in hand. The main building rooms are equipped with floor chairs and low tables. In contrast, the suite had lower lounge chair sets and an Iwatani reclining bed-like setup. However, sitting on floor chairs for long periods made my back slightly tired—this was my only disappointment regarding facilities. Amenities included Mikimoto cosmetics, which felt excellent to use. This time, while searching for accommodation at short notice, I found one room available due to a last-minute cancellation and made a reservation two days prior. Unlike before, this time it was a second-floor room in the main building. Although smaller than the suite, it offered a cozy space where you could relax comfortably. Despite being on the second floor of this sloped property, you can enjoy an unobstructed ocean view from both your window and open-air bath. As other guests have mentioned as well: The road out front is quiet with almost no cars or pedestrians passing by; thanks to its angle and height relationship with surroundings while using the open-air bath—you feel completely private without any concerns about being seen by others. Arriving around 3:30 PM: I soaked in my private open-air bath gazing at serene ocean views before enjoying an early delicious dinner followed by falling asleep quickly afterward! Waking up at 4 AM next morning allowed me another chance witnessing sunrise alongside soaking again within that tranquil setting! Breakfast too turned out delightful—a luxury doing nothing but indulging oneself! This hidden gem is definitely worth revisiting when given another opportunity!

    High-Quality Accommodation

    The service level is excellent. The meals were the most delicious we have ever had at any accommodation, with perfect portions and seasoning. One slightly disappointing point was feeling a bit restricted by having to notify staff when going out. While we understand the intention of ensuring privacy by avoiding encounters with other guests, it made us wonder if prioritizing privacy to such an extent is necessary. Other than that, everything was top-notch.

    The hospitality was ...

    The hospitality was excellent. The breathtaking view from the Room, the cuisine, and the manners of the staff were all wonderful. It offers value beyond its price. I’m glad my children could have such a great experience. It was an unforgettable experience that only those who visit can understand. Not having to meet other guests and being able to dine next to our Room was also appealing. I would love to visit this Ryokan again, even alone.

    I had a relaxing and peaceful time.

    I visited Atami with my husband after a long time. The weather was sunny, then cloudy, but the view of Hatsushima from our room was excellent, and we were able to relax greatly. The portion size of the meals was just right for me—enough to feel full without leaving anything behind. For men who look forward to eating a lot, adding one or two extra dishes might provide more satisfaction. The dishes were seasoned deliciously with rich dashi flavor, and I enjoyed both dinner and breakfast very much. The service had a very comfortable balance in terms of attentiveness. This accommodation is designed to minimize contact with other guests, giving it such a private atmosphere that it felt like the place was exclusively for us—a perfect recommendation for those seeking relaxation. The onsen left my skin feeling smooth, and the temperature was just right as well. Atami has many great accommodations, but this is one I would love to revisit!

    The view from the bath is stunning.

    The view from the room's bath was stunning, and it made me feel refreshed. The meals were delicious, and I was able to truly relax. I had made a reservation before but had to cancel the reservation due to unforeseen circumstances. The thoughtful response at that time left an impression, and I was finally able to visit this accommodation on this occasion. Upon visiting, I realized once again how attentively they provide service to each guest individually. Although we are ordinary people who don't usually pay much attention to such things, this accommodation is very considerate about minimizing contact between guests. It seems like a reassuring place for those who value their privacy.

    Onsen Experience in Japan After a Long Time

    I stayed at this accommodation during a temporary return to Japan while being stationed in an Asian country. This was my second visit, and I realized it upon arriving and seeing the room. The concept seems to be avoiding interaction with other guests, but since I don't particularly mind such interactions, I didn't feel much benefit from it. However, looking back, I thought the confirmation of my arrival time might have been related to this concept. I also realized after exploring Odawara that although it's called Atami, it's actually closer to Ajiro... The roads were crowded, and as a result, I arrived later than planned—my apologies for that. The private open-air bath in the room overlooking Niijima Island was absolutely wonderful with its smooth hot water. Meals were prepared in an adjacent dining room with dishes like Spanish mackerel and Japanese angelica shoots that gave a sense of springtime. Perhaps because it had been a while since I'd been in Japan—or maybe due to my age—I found the seasoning overall slightly salty for my taste. If given another opportunity, I'd love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

    The cuisine and Onsen are excellent, but the service by the room staff and amenities are disappointing.

    The cuisine and Onsen were excellent, but I felt disappointed with the following three points: 1. There was a stain resembling blood on the haori, and when I requested a new one, the room attendant seemed reluctant to assist. Additionally, there was no apology offered at that time, which left me feeling uncomfortable. 2. When I asked for serum and lotion as they were not available in the room, the manager kindly brought them to me. However, later when I asked the room attendant if lotion was provided in rooms, they laughed and said "It's only available in suites." This comment was unnecessary and made me question the quality of service. 3. The room attendant served our meals but remained unfriendly throughout and provided very minimal explanations about the dishes. To avoid any misunderstanding, I'd like to mention that all staff members other than the room attendant were very kind and provided courteous service.

    It was a wonderful experience.

    The weather was nice, but the sunrise over Sagami Bay viewed from the open-air bath in the Room was an incomparable experience. I felt that more than half of this trip's cost could be justified by this experience alone. Although there were some noises from the neighboring Room and the amenities were not quite up to par for a Hotel of this class, these factors were outweighed by my overall satisfaction. I will visit again.

    It was better than last time.

    This was my second stay, and I was very satisfied. This time, I stayed in a room on the third floor, which had an even better view, the open-air bath was clean, and the food was delicious and just the right amount. (The previous time was in a room on the second floor) For breakfast, I enjoyed my favorite kinpira and the specialty dried fish, just like last time, and it was satisfying.     Everything was wonderful.

    The luxury of the rooms and facilities goes without saying. The New Year's dishes and sake were also delicious. It was a special experience for foreigners. The best part is the service. I am familiar with Japanese hospitality, but this is the first time I have been so moved. Thanks to Atami-san, she happily accepted the proposal. It was an unforgettable two-day, one-night stay.

    It was below expectations.

    I made a reservation on short notice. Overall, I think this ryokan may not satisfy those who seek excellence. Firstly, despite being a station with very poor transportation access, there is no shuttle service. Even when I inquired with a taxi company, they said they couldn't arrange a taxi, so I spent quite a bit of time at the station. With no other options, I explained the situation to the hotel, and an employee kindly came with their car. While this level of service may not be necessary, for those coming from afar, where taxis don't come, I think the service aspect should be reconsidered. Additionally, the glass windows viewed from the room and bath were really dirty, and there was a lot of dust on the shelf above the bed. The walls of the toilet also had dents and peeling, indicating that cleaning and attention to detail were lacking. The dinner was ordinary, and the first dish gave the impression that it had been kept in the refrigerator for a long time. The customer service from the employees was very good, so I thought it would be beneficial to make corporate efforts from a management perspective.

    The service, cuisine, facility, and view were all excellent. We stayed in a room on the 4th floor with an ocean view, and the breathtaking scenery was immediately visible. At night, the stars were beautiful, and we even saw a shooting star. We made a reservation for a birthday, and they prepared flowers and a cake for us, which was wonderful. All the dishes were delicious, and the portions were just right. The rice dish that we couldn't finish was made into rice balls for a midnight snack. The service was also outstanding. We are grateful for accommodating our surprise request. We would like to visit again as the seasons change. Thank you very much.

    Ten million points! Everything is perfect!

    Everything was perfect! The hospitality, Room, bath, service, and cuisine. The lady who was in charge of our Room was very beautiful, had a wonderful smile, and her customer service was 100 points. We used it for my wife's birthday, and they prepared flowers and a cake, and the surprise was perfect. We even received a gift at the end. Thank you very much. We will definitely come again.

    It was my first stay. The room, bath, and meals were all wonderful. Both dinner and breakfast were luxurious and very delicious.     Whether the two preferences match is the key point.

    Stayed in the cheapest room called "Hana" on the second floor. The other review mentioning the road being right in front and "seemingly visible" is incorrect and there's no need to worry at all. The open-air bath is secluded and even if you stand up, you won't be seen by pedestrians, as it's at the same height as the power lines on the utility poles, and it's in a quiet place where cars rarely pass by. Although it's an extra order, I recommend the Hida beef sushi. It felt even better than what I had at a butcher in Gero Onsen. I thought Shizuoka-grown Koshihikari rice would be ordinary, but the way it was cooked? It had a firm texture and was surprisingly delicious, showing attention to detail. Speaking of attention to detail, there's a system where you absolutely won't meet other guests. You can't leave the room without guidance. For checkout, you wait for a call, and it's recommended to settle the bill during breakfast, which I thought was the best. Whether you find this good is the first point. Next is the mattress made by Iwata. It's hard. Surprisingly hard. It was a new discovery for me to be able to sleep soundly on such a hard mattress. If you like high-resilience mattresses, you should try it. Whether you find this good is the second point. Overall I knew about it from IKYU before, but the time you can stay is shorter than other properties with guest room open-air baths, so it was excluded from my options. This time, since I was going to check in late, I chose it after seeing a last-minute discount while searching for a property a few days before. As a result, I was able to stay comfortably from start to finish. If the two points are good, I can recommend this property to everyone. Thank you very much.

    I was able to relax. The service at Sanga(Sanga) can be said to be top-class among the many Ryokans from Atami to Shimoda. The right amount of food, the cleanliness of the Room, the view from the Room, and the service that ensures you don't interact with other guests were all wonderful. The Hida beef kinpira at breakfast was delicious and left a lasting impression. Thank you very much. I will visit again.

    Birthday Celebration

    I was introduced to this property by a friend who said the food was delicious, and I stayed there to celebrate a friend's birthday. The room was spacious, clean, and had a sense of cleanliness. The bath had slightly silky water that made my skin smooth. Above all, I think the most wonderful aspect of this property is the view. You can see the beautiful sea, and at night, I enjoyed the starry sky while taking a bath. My favorite part was the bath towels in the room, which had a very nice scent and were soothing. The meals were carefully prepared one by one, allowing us to enjoy the taste of the ingredients, and we were very satisfied. The staff at the property were also kind, and although it was fully booked, we checked out without meeting other guests. It has a private feel! The only thing I wished for was shuttle service. There were few taxis, and I had to make a reservation myself to get there, but it seems difficult to get a reservation on weekends, so I would be happy if there was shuttle service from the nearest station.

    Main Building "Tsuki"

    The staff were wonderful. From the welcome to the farewell, the hospitality was exceptional. The meals were very delicious, with excellent ingredients and sophisticated seasoning. We are grateful for the various considerations, such as changing the dining location for my elderly mother. Perhaps because it was a windy day, the Onsen felt a bit lukewarm, but I appreciated the heating in the shower booth. Waking up early to enjoy the Onsen while watching the orange sun rise directly in front of the room, along with Hatsushima and fishing boats, was a blissful time. Thank you very much.

    Since the last stay ...

    Since the last stay in Atami was a hidden retreat with a mountain view, this time we chose a hidden retreat with a sea view. First, the amenities are extensive, and I can't think of anything lacking. The same goes for the guest room; there was nothing I felt I needed. As for the customer service, I was grateful to have the same person assist us, even for just one night, and it was a rare experience to have all the room switches explained. Personally, I didn't intend to hide that much, but as a hidden retreat, they carefully arranged everything so that we wouldn't meet anyone, including guiding us to meals. The onsen bath was also satisfying in terms of water quality and temperature. I thought it would be nice if I could stretch my legs a bit more, but that was my responsibility for choosing this room. The bad weather and poor view were not the property's fault. Inside the property, we only went back and forth between the room and the dining area, but the pathways were easy to understand, everything was clean, and nothing felt outdated. We didn't use many facilities, but there was nothing concerning. For meals, we leisurely enjoyed over two hours for dinner and a solid hour for breakfast. The head chef is from Kansai, and the overall light seasoning had a nice contrast that paired well with the drinks. The meal ended with a strong impression with the final rice dish (wasabi rice on this day). The breakfast was not overwhelmingly large, which was appreciated, and we were fully satisfied. The rumored dried fish was delicious, whether it was due to the quality of the fish itself or the way it was grilled (probably both). Overall, there were no complaints, except for the bad weather that prevented us from seeing the beautiful sea view. My companion said they want to try again next time, so I think it will be an option for our next stay in Atami.

    The best accommodation.

    Stayed for one night on Saturday in the "Hana" room. Being on the second floor, the power lines are in view, but the view is so wonderful that it doesn't bother at all. The weather was bad, so the visibility wasn't great, but still satisfying! The room is designed for easy use, and the food is incredibly delicious! My husband and I, being food lovers, even had rice balls made for a midnight snack. The service from the inn's staff is very natural and friendly, allowing us to relax without any tension. Thank you for taking care of us. We will definitely use it again!
