    It was very good.

    I had a very comfortable stay. As with our phone call, you kindly accommodated my wheelchair use as well, so I was able to relax without any hesitation. You also asked about my preferred temperature setting for the open-air bath in the Room, which was great because I could enjoy it at just the right temperature. The meals were satisfying—neither too much nor too little. This time we stayed in the mountain Room, and the “chimpanzee bed” there (the human evolution bed) was perfect for lounging around! I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

    The surprise cake was forgotten.

    This was our second stay in the VIP Room, and this time we stayed to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The most disappointing part was that the birthday cake we had requested after dinner was forgotten. We were told it would be difficult to arrange it on the same day, so it was served after breakfast the next morning. By then, however, my husband’s birthday had already passed. Also, with an 11:00 check-out, we needed time to get ready, so we ended up eating cake during a rushed period. We didn’t feel like having cake in the morning, and there was no celebratory atmosphere. We were able to choose between a fresh strawberry cake and a chocolate cake, so we chose strawberry. But the filling was banana rather than strawberry, which left us wondering what exactly made it “strawberry.” Was this because it had to be prepared in a hurry? Although compensation was provided, you can’t redo a birthday celebration afterward, so honestly we were very disappointed. There were also concerns at check-in. We had actually made a Reservation for “Ao” on the 3rd floor, but at first we were taken to “Umi” on the 2nd floor. Since we were the first VIP Room guests to arrive that day, you quickly escorted us back to the 3rd floor—but I couldn’t help wondering what would have happened if someone who had reserved “Umi” had been taken to “Ao” and stayed there as is. In addition, when we entered “Ao,” there was still a paper left in the Room with another guest’s name on it. This seems like something that should have been checked and corrected before guiding guests in. As for the food: when we previously stayed in VIP Room “Yama” in 2023, I remember being very satisfied with dinner—there were many seafood dishes alone such as spiny lobster sashimi and abalone. This time felt somewhat less impressive compared with before. It may be due to rising costs and other factors, but considering the Accommodation Fee and that this is positioned as a “VIP Room,” it was disappointing—especially because we know how it used to be. (For reference: photo 1 shows part of our dinner from our 2023 stay; photo 2 shows this stay’s dinner.) On the other hand, as always, the dried fish at breakfast was excellent. Because our previous stay left such a great impression, we were really looking forward to coming again. However after this visit, I don’t feel like returning. Thank you very much.

    The outstanding loca...

    The outstanding location and delicious cuisine made our stay truly enjoyable. From check-in to check-out, we didn’t run into any other guests even once, so we were able to relax completely without any stress. It was also great to have a private dining area right next to our Room, allowing us to enjoy our meals without worrying about others. We didn’t need to walk around for the bath or meals, and could unwind comfortably in our Room. Even my husband, who rarely gives compliments, spoke very highly of everything. The courteous service from all the staff was also excellent, and we are truly grateful.

    In customer service...

    The view from the Room was wonderful. The bath water itself was nice, but the service included rude remarks, which ruined the overall experience. The Room was new and spacious, but the bedroom area around the bed was cramped and difficult to move around. The area around the bathtub was also narrow, making it hard to get in and out. Why was it designed with such an awkward layout? We stayed in a Room called “Umi (Sea)”; everything else felt open, yet those areas were tight. For over JPY 60,000 per person per night, I was disappointed that the amenities were made in China. The refrigerator wasn’t cold at all, and the drinks inside were unimpressive; I couldn’t drink the beer at all. The meals consisted of only a few small, insubstantial items. I wondered if this treatment was because we used IKYU Points. I have stayed at many Accommodations, but this is the first time I have been spoken to so disrespectfully, and it made me very sad. Our Atami trip was completely spoiled.

    We had a wonderful stay.

    They were considerate in ensuring we wouldn’t run into other guests from arrival to departure. It truly felt like a hidden retreat. The Room was very clean, and the amenities and drinks were plentiful. The food was also delicious. The bath was comfortable as well. The view from the Room was wonderful, and while we were looking out at the sea and Hatsushima Island, a rainbow appeared at just the right moment—it was spectacular.

    We had a very comfortable stay.

    Although it was my first stay, I thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful ocean-view Room, the in-room Onsen overlooking the sea, and delicate dishes made with fresh seafood. At breakfast, I was able to try dried fish made by a renowned “Hyper Dried Foods Creator.” In addition, I had a great time thanks to enjoyable conversations with the staff. I would love to visit again in a different season.

    It was excellent.

    I stayed here with my girlfriend. The view from the bath was wonderful. The staff’s service was also excellent. They carefully confirmed her allergies in detail, so she felt at ease and enjoyed a delicious meal with a happy smile. We plan to visit again in winter. Thank you for your attentive hospitality.

    My Favorite Accommodation in Atami

    The meals were exceptionally delicious. Each dish was gently seasoned, yet the rich umami of the dashi came through beautifully—I was truly impressed. The presentation and tableware were charming as well, making the food a delight to enjoy with the eyes too. The Room was spacious, and I could relax comfortably. Hatsushima Island was visible, and the view was wonderful—I was able to unwind and lose track of time. All of the staff were pleasant and welcoming. It was a lovely Accommodation that I would definitely like to stay at again when visiting Atami.

    We enjoyed a luxurious stay and a truly special experience.

    At this Ryokan, we never even crossed paths with other guests (that’s part of the concept), so we were able to enjoy a quiet, relaxing, and luxurious private stay. The Room, open-air bath, cuisine, and service were all exceptional.

    We were very satisfied.

    I traveled to Atami using public transportation. They picked me up at the nearest station to the Ryokan, and even waited for me at the station in the heat with their Shuttle Service. They also kindly accommodated my request to stop by a convenience store on the way. When I arrived, everyone at the Ryokan welcomed me warmly. Honestly, I thought it was a nice Ryokan but reasonably priced, so I was surprised they provided such attentive service. I was very happy. 　 The Room had a great view and was clean, with lovely interior design and plenty of amenities. The refrigerator was well stocked with drinks such as water, Atami beer, and juices. It was so comfortable that I wanted to extend my stay. The open-air bath was wonderful, and the shower room was spacious and spotless. The welcome tea and sweets were also delicious. I also enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. Everything tasted great. I heard some people can’t finish all the food because there’s so much, but I ended up getting a second serving of rice at breakfast. I’m truly amazed that I could experience this level of quality for this price. It was a wonderful stay—thank you very much.

    Bottarga!!!!

    My mother came to visit from Osaka, so I made a Reservation. Great bath! Great food! Great view! It was amazing!!!!! The staff member who served our meal kindly listened to my mother talk about karasumi. Thank you—she kept saying how wonderful and delicious it was. The portion sizes were excellent as well. Thank you very much. We would love to come again.

    Everything was excellent.

    The Room was spotless and stylish, and the view was the best I’ve ever experienced. The design is so beautiful it feels as if you’re floating on the sea, and the open, panoramic ocean view is endlessly captivating—you can stay for hours without getting bored, truly unwind, and relax at ease. The bedroom is designed to block out light, creating a clear contrast with the living area, which we really appreciated. However, since all the lights turn on together, if you take a bath late at night it can wake someone sleeping in the living room—so we would be grateful if this could be improved. Meals were served in a small side Room with another great view. In a calm, relaxing setting we could enjoy dinner at our own pace. The food was outstandingly delicious, and there was so much that it felt like you could gain several kilos from just one meal. We stayed during Golden Week for a 2-night/3-day family trip with our adult daughter. With Netflix available, we watched together as a family; we played music on the speakers while looking out at the sea; took naps; and had an extremely satisfying trip overall. In fact, we didn’t encounter any other guests at all—once you get off the elevator you’re already at your Room—so privacy was perfect. It’s also designed so that celebrities or well-known people could likely stay without being noticed, making it ideal as a secluded getaway Accommodation. Dessert was delivered to our Room as well—it looked beautiful and tasted wonderful, with excellent presentation and sense of style. The yukata were cute too; on the second day they even prepared ones in sizes that fit us perfectly. The socks were also adorable and thoughtfully chosen. Thank you very much for upgrading our Room as well. This is an Accommodation we would absolutely love to visit again, and we appreciate your continued support. Thank you again for taking care of us—though this message comes late—we are truly grateful.

    The best Accommodation

    This was the first time I’ve stayed at such a wonderful Accommodation! The Room was luxurious, and the view from the private open-air bath was breathtaking—surrounded by a vast ocean. Since the weather was clear, we were also able to see a magnificent sunrise first thing in the morning. Every meal was delicious—truly an outstanding Accommodation. I definitely want to stay again. We enjoyed an extraordinary getaway and felt completely refreshed. Thank you very much.

    Your First Time in Atami

    I was very satisfied to have stayed at such a great Accommodation on my first trip to Atami. The open-air bath was well worth the price, and the view was outstanding. The meals were more than sufficient, and they kindly accommodated even our difficult requests. The staff member in charge was excellent as well, and I regret that I missed asking their name. We didn’t run into other guests at all, so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. However, my wife felt the amenities were a bit disappointing... They will be closed for renovations for a while, but if I have the chance, I would like to stay again. There are surely other good Accommodations in Atami, but personally I highly recommend this one.

    Thank you for a pleasant stay.

    This was my second visit, and I stayed at the same Accommodation, “Umi,” as last time. The previous time, the bedroom had futons laid out, but this time it had twin beds, which gave it a different feel and made for a relaxing stay. The meals also featured plenty of local Izu ingredients and were very delicious. In addition, the staff member who assisted us was very friendly and answered our questions clearly without hesitation, so we were able to enjoy our stay comfortably until the end.     The view is wonderful, but I felt there were some issues with the service.

    The view is truly wonderful. The scenery from the Room was outstanding. On the other hand, there were several points of concern. A foreign object (part of a tea whisk) was found in the matcha welcome drink. As for the bedding, the mattress was firm, the pillow height was extreme, and the duvet was very thin and felt cold. This may have been due to individual differences or the season, but it was not an environment conducive to restful sleep. The open-air bath was not large enough to stretch out in, and while the food tasted good, having all of the main ingredients offered only as add-on orders left me questioning whether this Accommodation delivers satisfaction at this price point. In particular, despite informing you of ingredients I cannot eat three times (at Reservation, by phone in advance, and on the day), two dishes containing those ingredients were served. I was very surprised given that confirmation had been repeated. There were also some very disappointing moments in terms of service. It seems each Room is assigned an attendant; when my wife’s yukata did not fit properly and she fell from her chair while trying to keep it from opening at the front, we were taken aback to hear her asked, “Are you drunk?” Such an inconsiderate remark—rather than reading the situation—felt dismissive toward a guest and unacceptable for a high-end Accommodation. Service can come down to taste and compatibility, but I expected at least a basic level of professionalism. At breakfast, our tableware began being cleared away just over 30 minutes after we started eating, which made us feel rushed. From check-in at 15:30 to leaving the Room during our stay—meal timing and even check-out—it felt like everything required “permission” by following the Accommodation’s schedule. Yet despite this strict approach, we still ran into other guests unexpectedly at times, which highlighted shortcomings in operations. I could list endless details about wear and inconsistencies in fixtures (damage under eaves, well-worn yukata robes, mismatched amenities/items provided), as well as actions such as placing items directly on the entryway floor during in-room payment. Overall—and especially because I had expected IKYU Plus standards—this stay was extremely disappointing. I feel sorry for leaving such harsh feedback; however, because I do think both the view and concept are excellent overall، improving these service aspects would make this Accommodation far more appealing.

    Stayed for one night on New Year's Eve.

    I was looking forward to staying for one night from New Year's Eve. As a repeat guest, my expectations were met, and I had an enjoyable stay. The special meals for the New Year were delicious and delightful. However, the onsen had a noticeable smell of disinfectant, which was disappointing. It might be due to the limited flow of natural spring water and its circulation system. Since the onsen is one of the most important aspects of an accommodation like this, I hope it can be improved in the future. Overall, the quality was high, and I was very satisfied with my stay. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much!

    It was disappointing despite the price being comparable to a luxury Ryokan.

    I stayed in a special room, but I felt that the service and meals did not match the price. The check-in time was late at 3:30 PM, and there was a lack of consideration during both the guidance to the room and check-out. For dinner, there was an additional menu placed in the room which gave me a bad feeling, and while taste aside, I don't think it matched the dinner content expected for over 100,000 yen per person per night.

    Expectations have risen.

    I had the opportunity to stay for one night at "Sanga," a place I had wanted to visit for a long time. I was very satisfied with the shuttle service in a luxury car, attentive service, and comfortable room. However, there were some surprising aspects for such a high-end accommodation. Firstly, when we were shown to our room, the explanation of the room and precautions came before being served welcome matcha tea. Having stayed at several high-end accommodations before, this was my first experience where tea was not served first. The amenities were abundant and thoughtful; however, I noticed that Chinese-made cosmetics were provided. This was also a first for me and quite surprising. Perhaps my disappointment stemmed from having high expectations due to many top-rated reviews. I apologize if this comes across as overly critical. On the other hand, the dried horse mackerel served at breakfast was incredibly delicious—unlike anything I've ever tasted before—and the large flower arrangements placed throughout added an elegant touch that left an impression on me. The view from our room was also stunning; watching the bright red sun rise over the horizon became a cherished memory of our stay. Overall, it truly is an accommodation with many wonderful aspects. Thank you very much!

    It was another relax...

    It was another relaxing stay. The Onsen had a smooth texture with no scent, allowing for long and enjoyable soaks. The meals were delicious, and we could enjoy them in the living room as well. I look forward to visiting again. Thank you very much!

    Special Hida Beef Sushi is highly recommended.

    If you're looking for a quiet accommodation away from the bustling inbound crowds, this is highly recommended. Previously stayed on the 2nd floor (Hana), and this time on the 3rd floor (Mine). While there’s little difference between them, the view changes significantly just by going one floor higher, making it worth staying on the 3rd floor. There seem to be some updates to amenities: changes in refrigerator beverages and cosmetic brands. Two types of chargers are provided; please refer to photos. The open-air bath is slightly small for fully stretching your legs, with a temperature of about 41°C. There are many additional dishes available; we tried abalone, turban shell, and premium Hida beef sushi. Among these, the sushi was exceptionally delicious and highly recommended! For breakfast, you’ll enjoy dried fish created by a renowned hyper dried fish creator—perfect for creating memorable experiences. On the day of arrival, they will call you in advance during the morning to provide parking information if you're coming by car—making it a stress-free experience at this wonderful accommodation.     The meals were delic...

    The meals were delicately seasoned to enhance the natural flavors of the ingredients, and everything from vegetables and fish to meat was incredibly delicious. The rice served with freshly shaved bonito flakes from Ajiro Marufuji and freshly grated Izu-grown wasabi was wonderfully aromatic. The view of the ocean from the room and open-air onsen was breathtaking, and enjoying the sunrise or nighttime views of Hatsushima Island and possibly Miura Peninsula? while soaking in the open-air onsen allowed for a truly relaxing experience. This is an exceptional accommodation where you can rejuvenate both body and mind with exquisite cuisine, soothing onsen, and stunning scenery.

    The Best Accommodation

    We stayed here to celebrate his birthday. Although we arrived a bit late, we were warmly welcomed with excellent hospitality. The Room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The weather was perfect, and in the morning, we enjoyed delicious coffee and kintsuba while overlooking the ocean. Thank you for providing us with such a memorable and wonderful experience.

    The dishes were ligh...

    The dishes were lightly seasoned but incredibly delicious, with each dish showcasing great attention to detail, leaving a lasting impression. The open-air bath was very relaxing, and despite concerns about the summer heat, the unexpectedly cool breeze from the sea made it comfortable to enjoy a long soak. However... the shelf by the bedside and above the DVD player were covered in dust, as was the remote control. The refrigerator was quite dirty inside, with dust accumulated on top. I ended up cleaning with disinfectant wipes right after arrival. The glass on the balcony near the open-air bath also had water stains and seemed neglected in terms of cleaning. There were other issues as well that made me wonder if this Room is rarely used? While these are minor details, they felt like a missed opportunity considering how outstanding everything else—especially the food—was, so I wanted to share my thoughts here.

    The meals were excellent.

    Fresh flowers were displayed at the entrance and in the Room, which was very nice. The meals were also very delicious and satisfying. However, the toilet cleaning was not properly done, and bird droppings were stuck on the wall of the open-air bath in the Room, indicating that management did not thoroughly check these areas. This cannot be called a luxury Ryokan. It was a disappointing stay.

    Next, to a Room above the 3rd floor.

    I enjoyed the privacy. The service and meals were excellent. I stayed in a second-floor ocean-view room, but depending on the direction, there were utility poles at the same height or neighboring house roofs close by, which was a bit disappointing. Also, the single-sized bed felt a little cramped. Next time, I would like to stay in a room on the third floor or higher. It will surely be even more wonderful!

    Accommodation with Wonderful Hospitality

    The hospitality at this accommodation was wonderful. It was impeccably clean, and although we only had breakfast, the food was absolutely delicious! During our stay, we didn’t encounter any other guests, ensuring a fully private space—it was perfectly maintained. We usually choose accommodations costing over 100,000 yen for a couple’s stay, but this place offered luxurious quality without that price tag! We were extremely satisfied. We’ll definitely return in winter!
