"Comfortable Hidden Hot Spring"
The temperature of the hot water is perfect, making you want to stay in it forever. Being able to go to the bath during less crowded times is a privilege for guests, and I was able to enjoy the Hoshi no Yu without any stress, leisurely and luxuriously. It was worth staying. Next time, I will stay in the annex!

You will be healed.
I was thoroughly soothed by the building and the bath. I enjoyed a quiet night spent deep in the mountains. The meals were surprisingly low in salt for a cold region, but I felt they lacked a sense of seasonality. I was captivated by the unique situation, and I hope to return for more relaxation.

The bath is absolutely wonderful.
It was a wonderful Stays. The staff at the Ryokan were very pleasant, and I had a comfortable stay. The Room has charm, but the Onsen is truly amazing. I would love to stay again.

Satisfied as a couple
We were upgraded to a higher grade room and have no complaints about the service at the property. We have visited various mixed-gender onsens, but there was always a person who would wait for women to come and then keep watching them. This person was always there whenever we went. I think it would be better if there were no solo male or male-only stays.

A sophisticated hot spring inn for adults
A top-class hot spring inn among the Japan Association of Secluded Hot Spring Inns. The beautifully old wooden building is carefully preserved, and it feels as if time has stood still since I visited 50 years ago. Excellent service. The all-cypress hot spring bathhouse, with its dimmed lighting, creates a mature atmosphere reminiscent of the Japanese aesthetic of shadow appreciation. The meals were rich in local characteristics (of course, there was no sashimi of sea fish), and the seasoning was elegant and satisfying. The newly built annex is designed to match the main building, and you can see the attention to detail. The only inconvenience was that Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby.
