A Delicious Buffet Hotel Just Steps from Miyajima

The Hotel is located right in front of Miyajima Port, making access excellent and extremely convenient. Even before check-in and after check-out, we could use the lounge and enjoy ice cream, coffee, and other drinks. Depending on the time of day, there was also a momiji manju service, plus vouchers to redeem momiji manju at shops on Miyajima (including fried momiji), and candy ice cream after the bath—everything was thoughtfully provided. The facilities were very clean, and the buffet featured carefully prepared dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. With an all-inclusive plan that included alcohol as well, we were very satisfied overall. The lemon herb tea in the restaurant was especially delicious; we highly appreciated that it used Hiroshima lemons and herbs, to the point that we wanted to buy it. We think it would be great if it were sold in the Hotel’s souvenir corner or similar shop.

It was in a convenient location.

Because the Accommodation I stayed at previously was excellent, this review may sound harsh by comparison, but after coming to Miyajima, I didn’t feel there was any need to stay here. It’s a new Hotel that doesn’t convey any local character. I think it’s an ordinarily comfortable Hotel. The Room, meals, and service are all adequate with no major shortcomings, and on the 1st floor there are free ice cream, momiji manju, and drinks—very convenient. However, the public bath is small with no real sense of space; for some reason there were often people spending a long time in the changing room doing face masks; and as for the buffet meals, I have a oyster allergy and there wasn’t anything particularly memorable or delicious. It was nice that the hair dryer was ReFa and that you could use as many towels as you wanted. For some reason, even though it wasn’t peak season, the rate when I stayed was on the high side; later I saw it listed for about half that price. At that price point it would be an acceptable Accommodation. This is a Hotel better suited to younger guests.

The buffet dishes were exceptionally well prepared.

I didn’t have high expectations since it was a buffet, but the dishes were well prepared and thoughtfully made. I was satisfied with both dinner and breakfast. I also thought it was great that alcoholic drinks at dinner were free, as it meant no extra hassle.

    The location is convenient.

The location was very convenient—just a 1-minute walk from the ferry terminal. The guest room had a layout with the washbasin directly in front of you upon entry, and the bathroom was somewhat compact. Meals were served buffet-style for both breakfast and dinner, and amenities are available self-service at the front desk. Overall, it felt like an upscale Business Hotel. We booked a Plan for JPY 90,000 per night for a Multiple Night Stay, but it was a bit disappointing that the buffet selection hardly changed. On the other hand, the first-floor café area showed great attention to interior design—it was stylish and very relaxing. The staff service was also excellent.

    A Trip with My Parents

I stayed here with my parents in their 80s. The Room was spacious, and we were able to relax comfortably. The staff provided courteous service. It’s conveniently located close to the pier. As soon as we entered the Hotel, the wonderful aroma of freshly baked bread made us feel happy. Thank you very much.

    The buffet was excellent.

The buffet may have been the best I’ve ever had. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, with no repetitive seasoning, so I never got tired of it. However, considering the Room interior, amenities, bath Facility, and the fact that it wasn’t an Onsen, I didn’t feel it was worth 100,000 yen per night for two people. It was probably more expensive because it was cherry blossom season, but I didn’t think it offered good value for money.

    Conveniently located...

Conveniently located just a short walk from the pier. The Room was for four people, and it was very comfortable, with four beds, two TVs, and well-equipped amenities and facilities. Meals were buffet-style, so there wasn’t much personal interaction with the staff, which is usually part of the Hotel experience. Overall, I recommend it as a good Hotel, but the price is also on the higher side.

We had a great time as a family.

Everyone was always so pleasant, and our whole family had a wonderful time—thank you very much. I used the large public bath twice this time and tried the cosmetics provided, and by the next day my dry skin felt smooth again. Also, while walking along Miyajima’s shopping street, I found the grilled oysters with various sauces sold at the storefronts to be delicious, so I would be happy if they could be offered at dinner as well.

    Even though three of...

Even though three of us stayed, there were only two bottles of water. It also said the drinks in the refrigerator were free, but there was nothing in the refrigerator. What is going on?? Dinner was delicious, but the staff felt unfriendly. It’s in a great location—about a 1-minute walk from the Miyajima pier—but I felt it was overpriced for the level of service.

    Wonderful Accommodation

Stayed to celebrate a birthday. After I messaged them in advance, they contacted me by email, and on the day they kindly even offered their congratulations. Since it was a Room-assigned-by-the-Accommodation Plan, I would have been fine with an inexpensive Room, but we were able to stay in a Room that exceeded expectations, making it a wonderful celebration. It was a little disappointing that I couldn’t find the aroma essences (toner, emulsion, face wash, cleansing) in the Room. For the meals, I was able to enjoy the oysters I had been looking forward to, and the vegetables were very delicious—overall I was very satisfied.

    A Relaxing New Year’s Stay

Located conveniently in front of Miyajima Pier. Stayed for two nights, and while the buffet-style meals were delicious, it would have been even better if the menu had varied slightly between the first and second days. The staff were kind and welcoming. Overall, it was clean, and I would love to stay here again if given the chance.

The dinner buffet exceeded all expectations and was absolutely amazing!

During our previous trip to Hiroshima, we had planned to stay at a Ryokan in Miyajima, but due to a typhoon that halted the Shinkansen and forced us to change our schedule, we sadly couldn't stay there. This time, I was determined to spend a night in Miyajima and chose this accommodation because I had passed by it before and felt it would be a great place. I made the reservation well in advance and was looking forward to it for quite some time. The facility and room were clean despite some signs of renovation here and there, which left a good impression. Its proximity to the ferry terminal allowed us to drop off our luggage immediately upon arrival on Miyajima, which was very convenient. However, the sea-facing room we specifically chose turned out to be extremely close to the ferry terminal—so much so that during the day, it felt like people passing by could see directly into our room. Initially, this bothered me quite a bit. But as fewer people used the ferry at night, I became less concerned about leaving the curtains open. Additionally, this accommodation offers excellent lounge services with treats like Sujata ice cream and delicious Momiji Manju (a local specialty). The benefits for Diamond members were also impressive. Personally speaking, what my spouse and I enjoyed most was the dinner buffet! Supervised by Chef Okuda from Al-checciano in Yamagata—a restaurant we had visited during a business trip—we already knew how delicious his food could be. However, both the variety of dishes offered and their flavors exceeded all expectations! The menu featured many creative Italian dishes using local ingredients from Hiroshima. There were plenty of amuse-bouche-style options perfect for pairing with drinks—all incredibly tasty! (Since we planned on eating around Miyajima during breakfast hours anyway, we didn’t try their morning buffet.) At dinner time: "The free-flow alcohol selection was fantastic too; honestly just having that dinner buffet again makes me want another stay!" Lastly—and overall—the staff's hospitality left us satisfied throughout our visit. That said though...we personally found having tatami flooring in parts of their public bath’s washing area somewhat questionable (even if waterproofed/antibacterial). Still—even considering such minor points—it’s an accommodation we'd love returning back someday!

I plan to stay at this accommodation every time.

Our long-planned trip to Itsukushima Shrine finally came true, and we were excited—my friend, a repeat visitor to the shrine but staying overnight for the first time, and myself, visiting Miyajima for the first time. The accommodation's excellent location near the ferry station made it easy to find, and the warm welcome at check-in gave us a great first impression. The lounge offered coffee, tea, momiji manju sweets, and Sujata ice cream anytime we wanted. The bar served delicious beer that was simply perfect. We also enjoyed the tatami-floored onsen with abundant amenities three times: after check-in before dinner, before bed, and early in the morning at 5 AM before visiting the shrine. What stood out most was how incredible the meals were—paired perfectly with sake that elevated every dish. It felt like heaven. My friend and I are already talking about making this an annual tradition if possible—to stay here again while visiting Itsukushima Shrine. Thank you for your hospitality and for giving us such wonderful memories!

    Filial Piety

Stayed for the purpose of filial piety. My mother was very satisfied. The meals were truly of a high standard. She also really liked the massage machine in the Room. However, since we walked quite a lot, having a foot massager would have been even better.

    Would love to visit again.

The location is excellent, and you can leave your luggage upon arrival to enjoy sightseeing. The room had a nice atmosphere and was very user-friendly. While the amenities seemed standard, the bag provided for carrying items around the hotel came in various colors to choose from, and there was also a small pouch in the room for carrying essentials like a smartphone or keys, which was very convenient. The meals were buffet-style; oysters at night and French toast in the morning were delicious, so I ate plenty. I tried "Gansu" for the first time and enjoyed it so much that I had several servings. The steak during my Multiple Night Stay was tender and flavorful as well. Additionally, the lounge had a great ambiance where I could relax peacefully. They even offered my favorite Karel Čapek lemon tea, which made me happy—I drank lots of it! I also enjoyed both vanilla and strawberry ice cream as well as all varieties of post-bath ice cream available. The front desk staff and dining staff were very friendly; they promptly provided solutions whenever issues arose, which I greatly appreciated. This trip was wonderful not only because of sightseeing but also thanks to this hotel’s excellent service—I would love to stay here again if given another opportunity. Thank you for taking care of us!

    Perfect for international travelers!

The closest accommodation to Miyajima Ferry Terminal. This is a hotel-style accommodation without traditional services like greetings from the hostess or assistance from staff, but instead offers an all-inclusive plan where most food and drinks are free during your stay. The large public bath has tatami flooring, which prevents slipping (though it might feel unusual at first). Meals are served buffet-style with an Italian concept. The food is delicious, but having more variety would be appreciated. Drinks include beer, wine, shochu, and sake; however, there was only one type of sake available. It would be nice to have a selection of Hiroshima's local sake. There seemed to be slightly more international guests than Japanese ones overall, but no foreign guests were seen in the large public bath area.

The Room, service, and meals are all excellent!

I stayed in a Junior Suite Room. The room was spacious and clean, with well-stocked amenities. The facility seemed new, offering an overall clean and sophisticated atmosphere. The unique tatami-style large bath provided a stunning view of Miyajima, which I highly recommend. Although there was no sauna or open-air bath, the room I stayed in had a private bath, allowing me to enjoy both and relax comfortably. Post-bath, complimentary ice cream was available, adding to the delightful experience! The lounge offered drinks, ice cream, Miyajima roasted tea (in tea bags), and momiji manju, allowing me to relax while feeling the essence of Miyajima. The attached bar had a happy hour where beer was available for just 500 yen—such a treat! For a birthday celebration, I made a last-minute request for a plate cake the day before, and the staff kindly accommodated it. They even joined in the celebration on the day, showcasing their excellent service. I opted for dinner only, and the buffet featured Miyajima specialties, including oysters, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks to the outstanding service of the accommodation, my trip became even more fulfilling. Thank you very much!

The staff's hospitality was wonderful. During the check-in process, they shared a lot of information about Miyajima, making it a memorable stay. The welcome drink and coupon for momiji manju were delightful services, especially in the hot weather. The location right in front of the port was perfect for quickly dropping off our luggage.

We had a wonderful experience during our first visit to Miyajima. Before check-in, the staff smoothly handled our luggage and even assisted with booking a night cruise, which was very helpful. The accommodation has an elegant and refined atmosphere. From the guest rooms to the lounge amenities, in-room wear, and souvenirs, every detail is thoughtfully selected, contributing greatly to the overall ambiance of the accommodation. The highlight of our stay was definitely the meals. Both breakfast and dinner were buffet-style, featuring beautifully presented dishes that were not only visually appealing but also delicious. Although we thought it might not be oyster season, we were delighted to find steamed oysters in their shells as well as fried oysters available. Alcoholic beverages were included in the price, making it even more worthwhile. This is an accommodation I would highly recommend to friends!

    Great value for money.

Since it was during the Obon holiday, I understand the price of 78,000 yen including tax. However, both breakfast and dinner were buffet-style, and the Room's bathroom, toilet, and sink being glass-walled felt uncomfortable. I would prefer if the buffet dishes were not divided into two areas but consolidated into one. The all-you-can-drink alcohol service is a nice touch for those who drink, but for non-drinkers, it feels like it contributes to higher costs. Therefore, unless it's a busy season, I think a price of around 20,000 yen per person would make it easier to consider returning. That said, the staff's hospitality and the lounge atmosphere were excellent.

    It was the best time!

We stayed as a family of four, including a couple and two children in third grade. The room was very clean, and we had a comfortable stay. The meals were all delicious, including the steamed oysters and roast beef for dinner, as well as the French toast and beef curry for breakfast. The large public bath was spacious, and since the floor is tatami, it felt safe even for young children. We would love to stay here again. Thank you very much for this wonderful experience!

    Very convenient.

Although the weather was unfortunate, I chose this accommodation after reading a review that mentioned its convenient location right near the ferry terminal. The room was on the ocean side, offering a great view and a comfortable stay. The bath, which featured tatami flooring, was very clean! I could see staff frequently cleaning and maintaining it, ensuring cleanliness and comfort. This is a significant point for women. Thank you very much. The meals were delicious, made with plenty of local ingredients. The French toast at breakfast was also delightful. Additionally, the post-bath ice popsicles, lounge drinks, momiji manju (maple leaf-shaped sweets), and ice cream were all wonderful services that brought joy to our stay. I will definitely visit again when I come to Miyajima!

    A charming and cozy accommodation

The meals may not have a wide variety, but they were very delicious, and the service was attentive. You can relax on the floor exclusively for accommodation guests, and it was truly a wonderful accommodation. It is an accommodation I would love to visit again.

A Hotel with service level and meals comparable to a Business Hotel.

The hotel was not worth the price. Very disappointing. Here are the unsatisfactory points: - Both dinner and breakfast were buffet style with a limited selection of dishes. - The hotel caters to group and package tours. - The restaurant's atmosphere resembled that of a Business Hotel. - When ordering domestic beef steak as an option, they did not ask about preferred doneness before cooking. My companion prefers well-done, so we had to request it to be cooked again. - Buffet food replenishment was slow, with many dishes sitting out for too long; some plates had only one piece left, leaving no choice but to take it. - Even though I went for breakfast first thing in the morning, the rice cooker was already empty. The only positive aspect was the friendly staff at check-in. This is by far the worst Hotel I have ever stayed at through IKYU.com reservations and I absolutely do not recommend it—an extremely disappointing experience overall!

It became a truly memorable trip.

I had visited Miyajima several times before, but since my wife had never been there and the weather looked promising, we decided to make a last-minute trip and booked this highly-rated hotel. The hotel is located right in front of the ferry terminal, making it very convenient to drop off our luggage and start exploring immediately. Dinner was a buffet featuring local Hiroshima ingredients, with highlights including oysters prepared as fried, steamed, and roasted dishes. There were also roast beef, steak, and an overwhelming variety of other options available for all-you-can-eat. Additionally, there was an extensive selection of drinks for all-you-can-drink enjoyment. We thoroughly indulged ourselves and lost track of time. After dinner, we joined a night tour of Itsukushima Shrine hosted by a local guide. The guide provided detailed explanations about the Great Torii Gate and the history of the shrine—information we wouldn’t have discovered on our own—which made it an educational experience. Upon returning to the hotel, we relaxed in the large public bath that helped us unwind completely after a long day. Overall, what stood out most was how kind and hospitable all staff members were—from those at reception to those in the restaurant. Their exceptional hospitality made our stay incredibly pleasant for both my wife and me. This has become a hotel we would love to visit again in the future. Thank you very much for this wonderful experience!

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

This hotel, rare in Miyajima for offering a buffet, exceeded all expectations and concerns. The meals were simply outstanding. For dinner, it’s best to carefully select dishes; otherwise, you might regret getting too full too quickly. The French toast at breakfast is exceptional, and the cheesecake sold in the lobby is a must-buy if frozen storage conditions allow. The staff's hospitality was impeccable, maintaining a comfortable balance with guests. They kindly provided information about Chichiyasu and directions to the Peace Memorial Park—thank you! Miyajima itself is an amazing destination, but staying at this accommodation made our experience even more memorable.

    The Best Hotel

This was my first time visiting Itsukushima Shrine, and I stayed for two nights. Overall, it was a very comfortable Hotel. The location is excellent—right in front of the ferry terminal. Even though it was raining, I barely got wet upon arrival. Check-in was smooth with kind and attentive service. I chose the Sea Style Room, which offered a stunning view of the ocean and the opposite shore. The room layout was practical, and the lighting switches were stress-free to use. The bed and chairs were high-quality and very satisfying. Even small details like premium tissues in the toilet added to the experience. The buffet meals were delicious with carefully selected ingredients. The roast beef stood out for its tender texture, while fresh vegetables made for excellent salads. French toast at breakfast was freshly prepared upon order—absolutely delightful! The all-you-can-drink wine selection included French and Italian options that paired well with meals without being overpowering. Staff during meal times provided exceptional service; they promptly cleared plates after finishing each dish, making dining pleasant from start to finish. Thoughtful background music enhanced the atmosphere perfectly. In the bath area, you can enjoy views of both the sea and opposite shore while relaxing in soothing hot water—a great way to unwind! Though not large in size, high-quality shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were provided at washing stations. The smiles of staff members combined with their attentive service truly reflected a first-class Hotel experience—I would definitely love to stay here again!
