    It was excellent.

    I stayed for two nights from Friday for work. I was a bit surprised by how crowded the spa was, but the front desk staff managed it well, so even if the locker room was busy, it was comfortable afterward. Breakfast was also a bit crowded as it was buffet-style, but there was a wide variety of options and everything was delicious. Next time, I’d like to stay for leisure rather than work.

    It was conveniently located near the station!

    After leaving my luggage in the morning, I was out from midday until night with a local friend showing me around, so I hardly stayed in the Hotel Room except to sleep. The Room was very clean, and the bath and toilet were well maintained and comfortable. At check-in, I forgot to present my luggage claim tag and was contacted to come pick it up at the front desk. At the Hotel I stayed at the previous day, my stored luggage was delivered to my Room, so it would be helpful if that could be arranged here as well. I also left an item in the refrigerator and requested cash-on-delivery shipping; thank you for arranging it despite your busy schedule. Thank you very much.

    As it is right in front of the station, the location was excellent. They also stored my luggage before check-in and after check-out, which was a great help and allowed me to get around easily. I chose a Room with a Himeji Castle view, and I was glad to be able to see it almost straight ahead. I would like to stay here again if I visit Himeji in the future.

    A lovely Room with a view of Himeji Castle

    Stayed in a room on the 13th floor with a view of Himeji Castle. Enjoyed a relaxing time while admiring the beautifully lit-up castle. I seemed to have dropped my gloves at checkout, but they were quickly found when I called, which was very helpful. The front desk staff were kind and accommodating. The facilities, including hallways, toilets, and washrooms with motion sensors, were comfortable. I would love to stay here again when visiting Himeji.

    Large Public Bath!

    The large public bath was excellent. The breakfast featured local specialties, which we enjoyed. The front desk staff were also very kind.

    A lovely Hotel in front of Himeji Station

    This was my second stay. The spacious room with a Himeji Castle view allowed me to see the castle even while lying on the bed. This time, perhaps due to favorable weather conditions, I was also able to witness a sea of clouds over the mountains in the morning, which was truly breathtaking. Breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, including local specialties, and everything was delicious. Since it was New Year's, there were festive touches like sake and traditional New Year’s dishes that added to the celebratory atmosphere. However, I noticed some issues: there were noticeable water stains on the sink that I had to clean myself, and the faucet wobbled quite a bit—it seems urgent repairs might be needed. At breakfast, although several young staff members were walking around constantly, they didn’t clear used plates unless specifically asked. It might help if they paid more attention to tables without needing verbal prompts. Despite these minor points for improvement, I really liked how close it is to the station as well as its cleanliness and delicious breakfast offerings. I would definitely choose this place again when visiting Himeji. Thank you for your hospitality!

    It was great.

    Stayed for one night on New Year's Day. Overall, very satisfied! Would love to visit again. Check-in at 8:00 PM, check-out at 1:00 PM—had a relaxing time! Thank you so much! (Good points) - Although it was a unit bath, the shower pressure was strong and refreshing. - Free coffee and tea available next to the front desk. - The Room had a view of Himeji Castle from the window. - The breakfast venue was spacious with a festive New Year atmosphere featuring golden folding screens and sake barrels, which lifted my spirits. - Loved the anago rice and Akashiyaki dishes—delicious! - The breakfast venue's decor was beautiful. (Disappointing points) - Cotton pads and swabs in the amenities were torn or partially used when provided. - If I may say so, for a New Year's breakfast buffet, the variety and content felt slightly simple—lacking some sense of luxury? (Though it tasted good overall.)

    Conveniently located and highly functional Hotel

    This Hotel is my go-to choice when visiting Himeji. Its location near both the downtown area and tourist spots around the station is incredibly convenient. Despite this, the price range is quite reasonable. Breakfast is served buffet-style with many local dishes, which I find very satisfying. If the flow for lining up could be improved, it would be perfect. There are no issues with the guest rooms, service, or Onsen. The only downside is that the parking space within the Hotel is small, so I often have to use affiliated parking lots nearby. Because of this, I rated it a 4 instead of a 5. Overall, I really like this Hotel!

    A convenient and clean Hotel.

    This was my first stay. It was no meals included, but the reviews for the breakfast buffet are good, so I would like to try it next time. The accommodation has a large public bath, which helped me relax after a long journey.

    Please complete before check-in.

    Please ensure that cleaning is completed before the check-in time. On the way to the Room after checking in, I noticed towels and cleaning tools in the hallway, which made me wonder what was going on. It dampened my travel mood. Additionally, I felt that the explanation regarding the use of the public bath was insufficient. During check-in, there was no mention of being allowed to wear pajamas, but other guests were using the public bath in pajamas. Does this vary depending on staff explanations?

    Perfect for your first trip to Himeji.

    I stayed here for my first trip to Himeji to visit Himeji Castle. I did not use the dining facilities as I had other places in mind for meals. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service, which made my stay enjoyable. However, I was disappointed that the women's public bath was always crowded, so I couldn't use it. Instead, I used the bathroom in my room, but unfortunately, the shampoo bottle seemed broken and wouldn't dispense any shampoo no matter how much I pushed it. Additionally, the men's public bath water temperature was too lukewarm to feel warm or comfortable. Other than these issues, everything else was very satisfying. Despite having an early morning checkout due to my schedule, the staff gave me a warm send-off which made me happy. Thank you very much!

    Had a pleasant stay.

    Anniversary trip for 2 guests Facility and cleanliness were pleasant. Front desk service was smart and efficient. View of Himeji Castle's illumination between the buildings. Great access to lively arcades and an excellent location overall, with no stress from the parking lot. Morning buffet: Coffee and bread could improve, but ice cream and fruits were great! The variety of dishes was abundant, leaving us very satisfied. It’s a Hotel we’d love to stay at again!

    We had a wonderful time.

    The room was very lovely. The facility included a bathing area, and the separate-style loungewear was a great touch. The room was clean, conveniently located near the station, and allowed for a quick stroll outside before check-in. Highly recommended for those staying in accommodation in Himeji. You can even walk to Himeji Castle. It created wonderful memories!

    Excellent.

    It was my first time visiting Himeji. At first, I felt uneasy in an unfamiliar place, but the location near the station was very convenient. The front desk service was efficient. The Room was clean, and I could use the spa without any additional charge, which made my stay comfortable. For the third night, I upgraded to a better Room as my wife joined me, and she was thrilled with the view of Himeji Castle from the large window.

    It's decent.

    There were no major issues, but: 1. I was bothered by frequent noises of items being dropped by guests on the upper floor. 2. Being adjacent to the station, it might be unavoidable, but I noticed the sound of trains and announcements from the platform (though I couldn't make out what was being said). The previous night, I stayed at a different hotel near Hiroshima Station with no such disturbances. However, the Hotel staff provided excellent service. I did not use the bathing Facility, so I cannot comment on it.

    Last-minute accommodation

    Due to a last-minute change in travel plans based on family preferences, we decided to reconsider our destination from Akita to a bear-free area. The day before the trip, we searched extensively for a Hotel in Himeji for sightseeing and found one with "Himeji Castle view from the room" as advertised. The Facility was excellent, conveniently located near the station, and very comfortable. We enjoyed sightseeing in Himeji without any concerns about bears during our stay.

    A clean Hotel near the station

    - Stayed in a Twin Room for single use. **Good Points:** - The room was spacious, with patterned wallpaper and flower-shaped lighting, giving it a bright and cute impression. - There was a separate dresser, making it convenient for using the hairdryer or doing makeup. - The hairdryer provided was NanoCare. - The room offered a view of the illuminated Himeji Castle at night. - Complimentary tea and coffee were available in the self-service area near the front desk, with multiple tea bag options to choose from. **Points of Concern:** - During check-in, there was no organized queue system, which caused confusion about where to line up. A single organized queue might ensure fairness as differences in progress between lines could occur otherwise.

    Close to the station, breakfast with a view of Himeji Castle and more

    Convenient location near Himeji Station with a convenience store and McDonald's nearby. The nighttime illumination of Himeji Castle is beautiful. The Room was clean and well-maintained. Visited the large public bath, but the washing area had trash overflowing, so regular checks are recommended. It would be nice if there were partitions in the washing area. There was some hair near the dryer, which is likely due to other users' behavior. Breakfast with a view of Himeji Castle was delightful.

    Poor service.

    Due to our mistake, there was a mix-up, but despite the clear error visible from the records, no action was taken. If this is how issues are handled, machines could replace people. I will never use this Hotel again. It's disappointing as I used to like it!

    In every aspect

    We visited Himeji for our wedding anniversary trip. Hotel Monterey Himeji was a wonderful hotel with excellent service, clean rooms, and lived up to everyone's high ratings. The view of Himeji Castle and the cityscape from the window was fantastic, and the location was great. We would love to visit again as a couple. The breakfast buffet in the morning was also amazing. Thank you for providing such a pleasant space during our 2-day Multiple Night Stay!

    Delicious breakfast

    A trip to Himeji with my daughter. We chose a hotel near the station. Standard twin room. No particular view, but the room was clean. Amenities were sufficient, and the breakfast menu was abundant and delicious. The staff at the breakfast venue were also very kind. It was a bit disappointing that the bath had closed since we arrived after 10 PM. We booked it just for sleeping, but overall, we were very satisfied!

    Exceeded expectations. Both dinner and breakfast were clean and beyond what we anticipated. The view of Himeji Castle was satisfying as well. However, the bathroom was small; if it were larger, it would have been perfect.

    I used a Plan that included breakfast. What disappointed me more than the content was the smell. When I tried to eat, either the rice or the bowl smelled like disinfectant, so I left everything untouched. Perhaps it wasn't rinsed thoroughly enough, or disinfectant might have gotten into the rice.

    Excellent access

    Directly connected to Himeji Station via a walkway, so you won't get wet in the rain. The Room was spacious and comfortable. This time, I stayed in a Room on the station side, overlooking the Shinkansen and local trains coming and going at Himeji Station. I am satisfied with my stay.

    This time with family

    After retirement, I enjoy solo road trips. This time, I visited Himeji. The Hotel is adjacent to Himeji Station, which has many shops. Nearby is a shopping street with a nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere. Passing through the shopping street leads you to Himeji Castle—a very convenient location. The Hotel is exceptionally clean and has a luxurious feel. The Halloween decorations added a nice seasonal touch. Breakfast was delicious as well. It’s a Hotel that makes me want to visit again with my family!

    Slippers

    We have stayed here multiple times, but noticed that the slippers, which used to come in two types, are now reduced to just one disposable type, making it inconvenient when going to the bath area. Additionally, we found that the USB charging port was broken and could not be used.

    It was comfortable.

    I stayed for one night in Himeji to have dinner with a friend, and the guest room and bathroom were clean and convenient to use. Unfortunately, I couldn't use the bathing Facility due to my schedule, but I would like to try it next time if I have the chance. The 11 a.m. checkout allowed for a relaxing morning, which was great. The breakfast buffet was also delicious.
