    We had a wonderful stay.

    I stayed here during a trip where I was traveling from place to place. My plan was No Meals Included, but since it’s very close to Himeji Station, there are plenty of restaurants nearby, so I had no trouble finding places to eat. I stayed in the Royal Suite, and the Room was spacious enough, and the bathroom area was very clean. This was my second stay, and I’d like to stay again if I have the chance.

    Convenient location, well-equipped amenities.

    Convenient location right in front of the station, next to a shopping complex and arcade. The breakfast buffet is excellent; the venue is on the top floor with large windows and great views. You can see Himeji Castle, which feels wonderful, and the staff are attentive. The Room is small, but new and thoughtfully designed down to the details, making it easy to use (including loungewear). It may feel too tight for larger men. I expected a classic Hotel Montre atmosphere, but it’s basically a Business Hotel. Since I made an early Reservation, it was good value for money given current prices. As the sign says “bath” rather than “large public bath,” it’s much smaller than expected as a Facility. There is staff at the entrance who assign you a locker key. Unfortunately, it overlapped with a high school sports training camp. They occupied all of the limited vanity space in the changing area for a long time, talked loudly over the hair dryers, and used smartphones—very inconsiderate behavior. I understand group bookings may be necessary to fill these Rooms, but basic manners are essential; this seems like an issue with poor supervision by the school. For example, chaperones could collect phones until after bathing, or limit use to two people at a time—requests like this could also be made by the Hotel. It’s a good-value Hotel and the staff were great, but after this bath experience I probably wouldn’t stay again.

    Thrilled to stay in a Room with a view of the trains.

    Since my grandchild was staying with us, we chose the Room Plan with a view of the trains this time. They were thrilled to see the Shinkansen and local trains coming and going nonstop. On August 2, we stayed in a Room on the 8th floor, and on August 4, in a Room on the 5th floor. From the 8th-floor Room, the roof of the local train platform stood out, but the 5th-floor Room was at a great height for watching the local trains.

    RE: A great Hotel

    I think this is a newly renovated Hotel with a great interior. The staff are well trained, and I was able to enjoy a comfortable stay.

    This has become my go-to Accommodation for business trips to Himeji.

    Because I needed to stay within my business-trip expense budget, the Room was a standard twin. However, it was spacious enough. Before my stay, I was concerned that the toilet and bathroom were not separate, but it didn’t feel cramped at all, and considering the price, it was more than satisfactory. On this business trip, I stayed for three nights and had breakfast every morning. The selection and taste were excellent; I couldn’t try everything in one sitting, so I ended up having all items over the three days. With buffet-style breakfasts, I sometimes regret taking too much onto my plate, but that never happened here, which left a very good impression. This was my first stay here, and now whenever I have another business trip to Himeji, this will be the first Accommodation where I check availability.

    Excellent location

    I reserved a Room with a view of Himeji Castle, but the castle felt farther away than I expected. There are many places to eat around the Hotel, and I had standing sushi and toro. The fish was delicious, and I really enjoyed a very satisfying dinner.

    This is the best Hotel!!

    Conveniently located near the station with covered access so you can arrive without getting wet, and as soon as you step inside, you’re welcomed by a luxurious fragrance. This was my second stay, and just like last time, every front desk staff member provided outstanding hospitality—service on par with a top-tier Hotel. The Room was spacious, the in-house slippers were soft and fluffy terry cloth, and the amenities were properly prepared in both the Room and the large public bath rather than being set out in small packets for guests to take freely. At the entrance to the large public bath, staff were on standby, and even though I forgot to bring towels from my Room, they kindly lent me some without hesitation. I ended up bathing during a busy time and had to wait for a shower, so it would have been nice if there were an update on how crowded it was before entering or a space where guests could wait. They also arranged a taxi smoothly; despite being right by the station there is also a drop-off area, and everything about this place is unbelievably wonderful for this price. It’s a Hotel I’d want to stop over at even if Himeji weren’t my destination—I’ll definitely stay again. Thank you!!

    I stayed here to attend a live concert.

    It was a clean Hotel located just outside the East Exit of JR Himeji Station. The woman at the front desk was kind, and even though I arrived before check-in, she let me into my Room early. It was very hot, so that really helped. There was a live show at “Acrie Himeji” in the evening, and it was close to the Hotel. After the show, I bought dinner at the Lawson on the first floor of the Hotel, went back to my Room, and relaxed in the large public bath on the 4th floor. The breakfast buffet on the 14th floor had a great variety of dishes, and everything was delicious. I could see Himeji Castle right in front of me, and having breakfast while looking at it felt like a luxury. Thank you very much for your hospitality. I would like to stay here again.

    Mother-and-daughter getaway

    Planning a trip to Himeji with my mother to see Himeji Castle! The Hotel’s service and breakfast were excellent. With direct access from the station, a great location, and a large public bath, we were able to relax. Since it included admission tickets to Himeji Castle and checkout was at 1:00 PM, we could enjoy a comfortable schedule even for my elderly mother, making it a very satisfying trip!

    High satisfaction if you don’t expect too much.

    The only drawback is that there is no large public bath. Breakfast was so popular that we had to wait, so I hope improvements can be made to make the process smoother.

    Very satisfied.

    This time, we stayed on a Plan that included admission tickets to Himeji Castle. We could even see Himeji Castle from the window, and the view was wonderful. The Room was spacious and very clean. Many paintings were displayed along the Hotel corridors, making it a truly lovely Hotel. Himeji Station is nearby, so it was convenient for dining out and doing some quick shopping. Himeji Castle is also close, and we were able to take our time exploring until the 13:00 checkout.

    Completely satisfied with everything.

    I chose this property by searching for one near the station, with a large public bath, and either newly built or recently renovated. In the end, I was very satisfied. The Room was clean and spacious, and I also liked that it had a view of the trains. I especially liked the fluffy disposable slippers in the Room. Highly recommended.

    It’s a wonderful Hotel.

    I stayed here several times before the COVID-19 pandemic, and because the breakfast was so delicious, I returned for the first time in a few years. If a Corner Twin is available in the Plan options, I almost always choose it because I prefer a quiet Room. This time there was no Corner Twin, so I requested “if possible, a corner Room,” and at check-in I was offered a paid upgrade. In fact, at an affiliated Hotel in another city, I previously accepted an additional upgrade to a high-floor Room, but I remember being disappointed because the price didn’t match what was offered. This time the extra charge was inexpensive, so I accepted without high expectations—and it turned out to be exactly what we wanted: a Corner Twin that was more spacious than the Room we had reserved. It also had a train view; since my husband and I love trains, we were very satisfied. The breakfast we had been looking forward to also met our expectations. There was a wide variety of both Western and Japanese dishes, and we enjoyed plenty of desserts as well. We enjoyed everything while looking out at Himeji Castle. The Plan we chose included Himeji’s famous ekisoba. My husband ordered a large portion with no additional charge, and we were very happy with the ekisoba too. The coffee service in the lobby is also thoughtful. We used the large public bath at night and in the morning; it was surprisingly crowded in the morning, which surprised me a little. The upgrade fee was reasonable, but if possible, I would appreciate it if you could add Corner Twin as one of your Plan options. This is a wonderful Hotel that makes us want to return when we have another chance. Thank you very much.

    Perfect for sightseeing at Himeji Castle!

    Conveniently located just a few minutes’ walk from Shinkansen Himeji Station. The walk to Himeji Castle was longer than I expected (15–20 minutes), but it’s no problem in good weather. I was very satisfied with the Hotel atmosphere, the staff service, and the Room. For dinner, it was fun to choose a restaurant you like from the shops in the station’s underground Lantern Alley. Recommended. I didn’t use the Onsen bath, so I gave it 1 star for that.

    A clean and comfortable space

    It was a clean and comfortable space, which I really appreciated. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a wide variety of options, including Himeji specialties such as oden and Akashiyaki.

    I’ve stayed here several times. It’s conveniently close to the station, and even when staying alone, there are amenities for two people, so you have plenty of towels and other items. The complimentary drinks by the front desk are also nice—though I’d be happy if there were a few more options.

    Back to Hotel Monterey Himeji for the first time in three years

    I visited Himeji for the first time in three years to enjoy cherry blossom viewing at Himeji Castle and afternoon tea at Hotel Monterey Himeji. Although rain was forecast, the weather cleared up around the time we finished afternoon tea, and we were able to enjoy the blossoms. We also enjoyed both lunch and dinner at Hotel Monterey, and the staff were friendly and approachable. Thank you for a wonderful memory.

    The hospitality was wonderful!

    My 4-year-old grandchild who lives in Himeji City ended up staying with us at short notice. With your approval, you kindly handed the children’s amenities to my grandchild right in front of them. My grandchild was delighted. Thank you very much.

    I stayed in a Premium Double room.

    Wanting to see Himeji Castle again for the first time in 20 years, I stayed in a Premium Double at Hotel Monterey Himeji, which has parking and is conveniently located for the shopping arcade and the castle. The premium Room, available only on the 13th floor, is a spacious 44 m²—about twice the size of a standard Room. Rather than being long and narrow, it is wide, and the large window offers a wonderful panoramic view of Himeji Castle and the city of Himeji. The toilet and bathroom are separated from the bedroom by a door. The bathroom is spacious with a separate washing area, so I could relax in the bathtub, and I enjoyed switching between the Mirable shower and the rain shower. From check-in onward, I was welcomed with smiles and received great service. At breakfast buffet there was no soy milk, but when I mentioned it to the manager, they said they would provide it in the future.

    Great location, very clean, and we were extremely satisfied.

    All of the staff were very courteous. The Accommodation was also kept very clean, and we had a comfortable stay. The room temperature was comfortable as well. I really hope you will offer connecting rooms someday. For large families, the options for places to stay are limited, so it’s disappointing when we can’t book due to occupancy limits even though we know it’s a beautiful Hotel (having adjacent rooms is greatly appreciated). We want to spend time together in the same space while traveling, so we would love for you to add connecting rooms. It was an Accommodation I would like to stay at again and again. The amenities were well stocked, the hot water never ran cold, and the shower (Mirable) and bathroom facilities were excellent. There were plenty of cups provided as well, which was very helpful! As we were leaving, a member of the housekeeping staff greeted us with a smile, which made us feel it was a wonderful Accommodation. We would love to stay with you again. Thank you very much for this lovely Accommodation.

    A clean Hotel near the station

    I’ll keep this as a brief bullet-point memo. I used a twin Room as a solo guest. This was a repeat stay. ■ What I liked - The Room was spacious, and I could relax comfortably. - There was a separate vanity, which was convenient for using the hair dryer and doing makeup. - The hair dryer was a Nanoe model. - There’s a convenience store right downstairs, which is very handy. - The front desk queue was well organized. ■ What I noticed - Nothing in particular. The cleaning was thorough, many of the staff were pleasant, and it’s close to the station—an Hotel I would recommend. When staying in Himeji, I’d definitely like to use it again.

    Accommodation for the Himeji Castle Marathon

    I chose this Hotel near Himeji Station to participate in the Himeji Castle Marathon. Taking a bath after the marathon was one of the happiest moments of my life. The front desk staff at check-in were very polite and kind, and they explained the Hotel’s Facilities clearly. The Hotel was very clean, and there is a Lawson on the first floor, which was very convenient for buying late-night snacks. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay. I highly recommend this Hotel.

    Ideal for business travelers

    The property is conveniently located near the station, and the Room is clean. There is also a large public bath, but the changing area is small and quickly becomes crowded, so bathing hours are limited. It would have been better if it were a bit more spacious.

    It was excellent.

    I stayed for two nights from Friday for work. I was a bit surprised by how crowded the spa was, but the front desk staff managed it well, so even if the locker room was busy, it was comfortable afterward. Breakfast was also a bit crowded as it was buffet-style, but there was a wide variety of options and everything was delicious. Next time, I’d like to stay for leisure rather than work.

    It was conveniently located near the station!

    After leaving my luggage in the morning, I was out from midday until night with a local friend showing me around, so I hardly stayed in the Hotel Room except to sleep. The Room was very clean, and the bath and toilet were well maintained and comfortable. At check-in, I forgot to present my luggage claim tag and was contacted to come pick it up at the front desk. At the Hotel I stayed at the previous day, my stored luggage was delivered to my Room, so it would be helpful if that could be arranged here as well. I also left an item in the refrigerator and requested cash-on-delivery shipping; thank you for arranging it despite your busy schedule. Thank you very much.
