    I will visit again.

    The room was clean, and the Onsen had smooth, soothing water. Above all, the meals were exceptional, with dishes that conveyed the chef's heartfelt touch. Thank you very much; I would love to visit again!

    A serene space for adults.

    I stayed in a suite room. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with this wonderful accommodation. Highlights: ● The cleanliness was impeccable, especially the water areas, which were impressively spotless. ● The quality of the meals was outstanding and not typical of an Onsen accommodation menu. The overall taste was refined, and the low-temperature cooked beef fillet stood out as exceptional. Personally, while I appreciated the variety and quantity of desserts, it would have been even better to have a substantial dish featuring local vegetables (not just as garnishes for meat). Areas for improvement: ● I wasn’t informed that tabi socks were not provided in the room but available at an amenity corner near the dining area, so I couldn’t use them. ● There is some distance between the bath and where bathrobes or towels are kept; having a nearby pole hanger to quickly grab something to wear before stepping out onto the deck would be very convenient.

    It was a unique auberge.

    I stayed at a Japanese-modern auberge specializing in soba and was very satisfied with the attention to detail and creativity, including both dinner and breakfast services. Unfortunately, it rained during my stay, so I couldn't explore the surroundings, but I heard that the menu changes with the seasons, so I would love to visit again. The entrance from the road was a bit hard to find; more noticeable signage would be helpful.

    Original and unique cuisine

    The meals left a lasting impression, and I found myself wanting to return after several years. Once again, both dinner and breakfast were exceptional. The unique "Soba French" cuisine is full of originality and offers flavors that are hard to find elsewhere, making it a reason for many guests to visit. Dinner was delightful down to the final soba dish and dessert, while breakfast featured an extraordinary lineup including galettes, steak, and apple pie, providing high satisfaction. Although the building shows some signs of aging, the quality of the Onsen is excellent, and this accommodation is worth visiting just for the chef's exquisite dishes. With new Diamond Member benefits now available as well, I definitely plan to return. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

    The cuisine is truly exceptional.

    I saw the chef's cuisine on platforms like IKYU and decided to visit. The fusion of soba and French cuisine was outstanding, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This is an accommodation worth visiting as a main destination, and although I only had time to visit the accommodation in Komagane, I was very satisfied. I hope to visit again someday.

    It's amazing!

    Thank you for the wonderful two days. Everything about this Hotel was amazing—the delicious food, the relaxing bath, and the excellent service from the staff. Thanks to IKYU, I was able to enjoy it at a great price. I would love to visit this Hotel again!

    A very good accommodation.

    I went on a trip to Komagane with my mother for the first time in 40 years. It was a cozy accommodation with only 8 rooms, and the river of snowmelt water and the fresh green trees were incredibly beautiful. Both dinner and breakfast featured an array of wonderful dishes. The French-style kaiseki cuisine, with its delicious sauces and 100% buckwheat soba noodles, was truly impressive. During our two-night stay, we thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of the staff and the exquisite meals. Thank you very much!

    I always look for ac...

    I always look for accommodations with great cuisine, and this time I was drawn to the "Soba French" concept. The dishes exceeded my expectations, and I enjoyed every bite. The meals, featuring seasonal local ingredients paired with wine, were absolutely satisfying. Although I thought I wouldn't have room for the late-night snack, its unexpected flavors had me finishing it all. Breakfast was a blissful experience with fresh salad, galette, morning steak(!), and even dessert. Thank you for the wonderful meals! The hot water in the room was very pleasant; however, the switches in the dressing area were a bit hard to figure out. I would love to visit again during a different season!

    Thank you for staying with us during the latter half of Golden Week.

    Stayed on a beautiful May day. The accommodation is clean and has a calm atmosphere. Dinner was a full-course soba French meal, and everything was delicious. After dinner, the head chef greeted all the guests politely at the entrance of the dining area, which was very touching. Breakfast included surprises like soba galette and beef steak, an impressive menu. The room's private semi-open-air bath with onsen had silky smooth water quality that left me amazed. I look forward to visiting again next time. Thank you very much!

    The food was excellent again this time.

    The food was excellent as always, and the recommended sake was outstanding, making our experience truly enjoyable. This is our fourth visit, and every time we are delighted by the cuisine. We deducted one point for the guest room because, while it may be unavoidable due to the room's structure, during this season it gets quite cold from night to early morning, requiring heating. However, the toilet area does not warm up sufficiently, making late-night visits uncomfortably cold. A spot heater in the toilet during colder months would be greatly appreciated. That said, we are always very satisfied with the meals and look forward to visiting again in a different season. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Meals, Bath, Sleep

    An Onsen accommodation offering Soba French Kaiseki cuisine. The vegetables, meat, soba, as well as cheese and seasonings, all reflect a dedication to local ingredients. Everything was delicious, with the sauces for each dish leaving a particularly strong impression. There are two pairing options: wine and sake. We tried the six-wine pairing set and were generally satisfied. The caviar at the start was slightly challenging to pair but not overly so. Next time, I’d like to try the sake pairing. Breakfast features soba galettes as the main dish with 2-3 options to choose from. It’s very filling and of course delicious. Surprisingly, a small portion of steak is served in the morning! Alcohol is even listed on the breakfast drink menu—if only I wasn’t driving! Room service also looked appetizing. There’s a capsule coffee maker in the room that I wanted to use but couldn’t because I was too full both at night and in the morning. Other services are quite minimalistic; it seems designed for guests to relax quietly in their rooms. There are no shared spaces or events offered here. If your goal is simply dining, bathing, and sleeping peacefully, this is an excellent accommodation choice.

    Everything about this accommodation was satisfying.

    First of all, while it is not uncommon to encounter unpleasant experiences due to the lack of manners from some inbound tourists these days, this area was free from such issues, allowing us to enjoy our trip comfortably until the end. This time, we stayed for two nights and everything—room, service, and cuisine—was perfect for both my spouse and me. - Room We chose a riverside room. With a bit of snow still remaining outside, enjoying the semi-open-air bath with the window open was absolutely wonderful. The amenities were the most comprehensive we've ever experienced in any accommodation we've visited so far. Having bathrobes available was also greatly appreciated. - Cuisine The overall flavor was light and not overwhelming, which suited our tastes perfectly. There were several types of desserts served as well, making it enjoyable until the very end. During meals, attentive staff with excellent observation skills provided thoughtful care throughout, allowing us to relax completely. - Service Among all accommodations we have visited so far, this one offered the most reassuring and pleasant service experience we've ever had.

    A very lovely accommodation with excellent service.

    We had a very happy time. We stayed at the accommodation for our wedding anniversary. We were looking for a place with delicious meals and made a reservation, but we returned home satisfied with everything beyond just the meals. The dinner was, of course, delicious, and all the paired sake was excellent. The soba inari prepared by the head chef as a late-night snack was also exquisite. We enjoyed blissful meals together, not only dinner but also breakfast galettes which were incredibly tasty. There were two options to choose from: salmon or meat; my husband and I ordered one of each. The galettes were chewy, perhaps because they used buckwheat flour. The room's bath was spacious and relaxing; opening the window allowed us to enjoy it like an open-air bath. All the staff at the accommodation treated us kindly, allowing us to spend a wonderful day.     It was a wonderful end to the year.

    I stayed with my wife. It was our second stay. The food was excellent. They properly accommodated ingredients I am not fond of. Using plenty of precious local ingredients, the dishes were finished with a wonderful taste. Handmade soba was served, and it seems to be the chef's unique way of making it. It was exquisite soba that cannot be tasted elsewhere. I was also pleased with the variety of desserts. I would like to come again.

    The food was excellent again this time.

    Both dinner and breakfast were excellent this time, and we thoroughly enjoyed them with delicious sake. The soba noodles with matsutake mushroom dipping sauce at the end of dinner were particularly wonderful. Since my spouse and I love ayu fish, we were a bit disappointed to hear that ayu dishes were served until the day before, but we look forward to enjoying them next year. One improvement request: the Room's TV does not receive BS broadcasts, but nowadays it's common to receive BS channels everywhere, so please consider improving this. (I was disappointed not to be able to watch the program I look forward to on BS on Thursday night.) We look forward to visiting again to enjoy the delicious food and sake.     Exquisite Soba French Cuisine and Shinshu Wine

    I stayed for one night on my first trip to Minami-Shin. I was very satisfied with the wonderful cuisine, Room, bath, and hospitality, making it a memorable stay. From the semi-open-air bath in the Room, you can enjoy the beautiful gradient of the garden's autumn leaves, making it a wonderful autumn foliage viewing experience. The temperature is kept just right, allowing you to stay in as long as you like. There is a plentiful supply of amenities and towels, which is greatly appreciated, especially in recent times when many places have reduced these for SDGs reasons, causing inconvenience. The cuisine is truly delicious, featuring a menu rich in the chef's creative ingenuity, incorporating soba noodles throughout. The wine pairing selection is also excellent, perfectly matching the dishes with a lineup that truly represents Shinshu. The young gentleman who assisted us was very knowledgeable about wine and cuisine, making for engaging conversations that impressed us. The staff were friendly, kind, and provided heartwarming service, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I look forward to visiting Minami-Shin again and experiencing the seasonal cuisine. I highly recommend this place!

    It has become a Ryokan I want to visit every year.

    The autumn leaves at Senjojiki Cirque had already ended, but the autumn leaves near the riverbank close to the lower ropeway station were in full bloom and beautiful. The standard twin room was not very spacious but had enough space, and I was satisfied with the washroom, bath, and Onsen. The firmness of the bed was particularly comfortable, and I even wanted to buy this bed for my home. The meals were just as seen on the website, with wonderful dishes and presentation, and my spouse and I were especially satisfied with the seasoning. The young and friendly sommelier had extensive knowledge, and we enjoyed the conversation. We were thrilled to be greeted by the chef who provided the delicious food. We even talked about wanting to come back every year just to eat this cuisine. Additionally, there was a lovely path about 30 meters from the front gate of this Ryokan to the building entrance, but we ended up entering from the parking lot as we missed the front gate. The Ryokan entrance sign on the street was small and hard to notice, which was the cause. Since we were there, we left through the front gate on our way back. We are thinking of revisiting.

    The Ultimate Hospitality

    It was a trip to celebrate the couple's joyous 60th birthday. Choosing Kisumika was the right decision. Personally, I prefer a property with a quiet room, a comfortable bath, and enjoyable meals. The room at Kisumika has a nostalgic feel, with the sound of the river reaching from afar. The bath is made of Shigaraki ware, allowing you to stretch your legs and is somewhat deep. Since it's a room bath, you can enter at your leisure, and your skin feels smooth. As for the meals, I won't write individual impressions, but they were seasonal, local, prepared with care, warm, visually delightful, conversation-inducing, and centered around soba. My wife, who is more discerning than I am, was very satisfied with the dinner and breakfast (laughs). We also received a greeting from the head chef after dinner, which was indeed a pleasure. Although we were full, we also enjoyed a delicious late-night snack. From check-in to check-out, everyone at Kisumika greeted us with smiles, thank you. I would like to visit again in a different season.

    I don't think there will be a repeat.

    The source spring bath in the room had silky smooth water that made the skin soft, which was a delightful Onsen for women. As for dinner, we went to the Japanese-style room with the dining area at 18:15, and it felt like everyone started at the same time, but the serving time was too long, and the last dish was served well past 21:00. It might be good for those who drink alcohol, but for those of us who cannot drink alcohol, it felt like a very wasted time.

    The perfect form of satisfaction

    Room, meals, and service were very satisfactory and satisfying. I was able to relax while looking outside from the bath. The French meal, including the appetizer, salmon, beef fillet, and dessert, was all excellent. Breakfast with galette, beef fillet, and pie was also satisfying. It was a day where I could spend time leisurely. I definitely want to visit again.

    A Satisfying Stay

    My wife and I visited for the first time. It was an inn that had caught my attention for a while, but I couldn't find the time to visit until now. Dinner felt a bit early, but we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I rated the bath lower because I was concerned that the washing area was a bit cramped. The staff were cheerful and their customer service was excellent, allowing us to relax and enjoy our stay. On a personal note, I forgot something important at the inn, but they promptly handled it and sent it to my home. I would like to visit again.
