    We’d love to welcome you again.

    We stayed to recuperate after an illness during the intense heat. We would definitely like to come again in every season. The view from the Room and the night scenery were very soothing. The hamo hot pot kaiseki was exquisite.

    Last time it was our wedding anniversary; three months later, this time we’re celebrating our joint birthday party!

    On our first stay three months ago, we celebrated our wedding anniversary. This time, we held a joint birthday celebration—mine in June and my partner’s in July—at our favorite nearby Accommodation! Although Japan has already entered full summer with rising heat and humidity, this is a comfortable space where you can enjoy breathtaking views from the 260m summit of Mt. Hōji in Minoh Quasi-National Park, surrounded by abundant nature. With only 20 rooms, it feels almost like having the entire place to ourselves, and once again we were completely satisfied with the blissful time wrapped in kind, understated hospitality. We can’t wait to return next time.

    Simply wonderful.

    The staff’s hospitality, the sweeping view from the front desk, and the stunning scenery from our dining table were all truly unforgettable. The free drink corner was a nice touch, and I really applaud their eco-friendly approach. The dishes were beautifully presented—I was so busy taking photos—but they were a bit too salty for my taste, and I ended up leaving some at the end. I also had high hopes for breakfast; it looked lovely, but everything was on the salty side as well. I know preferences vary, but with elderly guests among visitors, it would have been even better if there were seasonings available so each person could adjust the flavor to their liking.

    Staying again after a long time

    A new Room type is now available! This popular Room comes with an open-air bath terrace. The views are stunning, and it feels wonderfully spacious. Highly recommended!

    The view from the Accommodation is exceptional.

    Perched on a hill, it offers wonderful views over Osaka city, Expo ’70 Commemorative Park, and the Tower of the Sun. However, the Room had only water in a kettle and two green tea bags, and there was no capsule coffee machine, which felt inconvenient. Coffee is available in the lobby only during limited hours, but you cannot take your cup back to the Room. While the Room is excellent, sunlight pours in during the morning and daytime and there are no blackout curtains, so it may get quite hot in summer.

    The drive up the mou...

    The drive up the mountain to the Accommodation was exciting. This is a secluded Accommodation in the mountains, and the panoramic night view of Osaka is truly spectacular.

    I’d like to stay here again.

    The meals included one French dish, and everything was delicious without ever feeling repetitive. The Room was clean and we were satisfied, but it was disappointing that there were no towels in the washroom. We would have liked towels there. We also appreciated being able to borrow a humidifier. As for the bath, the water was very lukewarm at night, while the morning bath was hot, so the temperature settings were a bit confusing. Still, it was very good overall, and we would like to stay again.

    The view from the room was amazing, especially the beautiful night scenery. The staff’s service was also excellent. If I had to ask for one thing, it would have been even better if checkout were at 11:00 AM.

    A Hidden Retreat You’ll Want to Keep Secret

    Only 20 rooms on a vast property. Just a short distance from the city, you can enjoy sweeping views of Osaka on clear days. Most guests seem to be local families spanning two or three generations, so it’s a quiet place to relax. While there are no luxurious amenities, this Accommodation offers beautiful scenery, attentive staff, great meals, and everything you need for a comfortable stay.

    This was my second stay. I’m always happy with the staff’s courteous service. Thank you very much for upgrading my Room this time as well. The view from the Room was amazing. I especially enjoyed the night view, too. I’d like to visit again because I can also enjoy a nearby Onsen.

    It was excellent.

    This time, we stayed in the Yamaboushi Room with an open-air bath. We had previously stayed in the Hanamizuki Room and it was excellent, but Yamaboushi was even better—the open-air bath felt incredibly spacious, and we had a truly wonderful stay. Since snow was forecast for Sunday, our planned departure day, you kindly changed our transportation from our private car to the Shuttle Service bus on Saturday morning. Minoh-Kayano was also very convenient, which made everything even better. The Room had an amazing view and the night scenery was beautiful. The meals were beautifully presented with great taste and style, and everything—even dessert—was incredibly delicious. The service was also very pleasant, and we were completely satisfied in every way. If I had to mention one thing, the shower water pressure in the bath was a bit weak, but it was still acceptable. It was also great that the bath is heated so you can use it anytime. I definitely want to stay in Yamaboushi again. Thank you very much for such wonderful memories.

    It was a small Hotel...

    It was a small Hotel, but very cozy and relaxing. It was a bit disappointing that there was no beer at the welcome drink corner. The Komorebi Bath might feel a bit cramped if 4 or 5 men use the changing room at the same time. Other than that, everything was great!

    It was a relaxing accommodation.

    It's hard to believe such an accommodation exists just a few minutes from Osaka. The lobby offers breathtaking views with a cozy fireplace, the refreshing outdoor air, and the rocking chair in the room or the open-air bath providing stunning night views accompanied by birdsong. I was pleasantly surprised that meals were delivered directly to the room. Each dish reflected the chef's dedication and sense of style, allowing me to savor every bite at my own pace. If I had to point out any drawbacks, it would be missing the notice about using the bathroom in our room and mistaking it for a showerhead issue—it felt like a reverse misting system (laughs), which made washing hair less satisfying. Also, face towels were thin, and there were no hand towels provided. But these minor points are easily overlooked considering everything else was perfect. I left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated!

    Standard Plan: Enjoy Seasonal Japanese Kaiseki Cuisine

    I stayed at the accommodation to inspect it for my mother, who has difficulty walking. The meals were delightful, with a great balance of Japanese and Western-style dishes. The seafood sauce in the Western course was particularly delicious, though the saltiness of the Spanish mackerel was overpowering and did not pair well with the sauce. However, when enjoyed with naan bread, it was very tasty! For the private open-air bath, a reservation was required, and I used it at the end of the day. Unfortunately, there was an excessive amount of scum floating in the water, which made it uncomfortable to bathe. Upon informing the ryokan staff about this issue, they immediately checked and apologized sincerely. While no reservation fee was charged for this experience, what stood out more to me was their prompt response and heartfelt apology—it truly reflected their excellent customer service and hospitality. Initially, I thought I might not stay here again; however, their warm response left such a positive impression that I decided to bring my mother here next time. In today's world, accommodations need not only good facilities but also genuine hospitality and attentive service towards guests. This ryokan demonstrated these qualities wonderfully. Thank you very much! I look forward to staying again in the future!

    We stayed with seven...

    We stayed with seven university friends. It was our first reunion in two years. We were delighted to have one room for all of us. The meals were served in a private room, allowing us to talk freely without worrying about others. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and the view from the lobby was excellent. Everyone agreed to stay here again next time. We look forward to staying here again!

    Stayed for one night...

    Stayed for one night with three friends after about 30 years. The night view from the Room was very beautiful. The Room had an open-air bath, so it was nice to use it anytime we wanted. Also, while breakfast is often served as a buffet, we were able to enjoy a delicious meal in a private room at our own pace. Next time, I want to come with my family and grandchildren.

    A relaxing Hotel to escape the stress of the city

    Breathtaking Views The view of Osaka's cityscape is incredibly soothing, especially for someone like me working hard in the midst of it all. Excellent service and delicious cuisine. This was my second visit, and it made me want to return again whenever I feel tired. Thank you very much!

    A serene accommodation with beautiful scenery for a relaxing stay.

    Second visit The weather was great, and the night view from the room was very beautiful. The bath was not crowded, so I could relax and enjoy it. The night view from the bath was also stunning. The cleaning was thorough, making it a pleasant experience. I had reserved a private bath but ended up canceling the reservation; I apologize for that. Dinner was served in a private room, but I had been looking forward to enjoying my meal while admiring the night view, so that part was disappointing. For dinner, I chose shabu-shabu; the meat was delicious and plentiful, and the sesame sauce was exceptional. Even the dessert at the end showed great attention to detail and tasted wonderful. For breakfast, although we were in a private room again, it felt hot inside despite turning on a spot cooler immediately upon request due to strong sunlight during this season—it made me want to finish eating quickly and leave sooner than expected which felt unfortunate overall... While understanding intentions behind serving dishes warm/hot using portable stoves—perhaps monitoring when necessary adjustments like turning them off temporarily might help improve comfort levels better instead? Slightly warmer salmon or tamagoyaki would’ve been appreciated too! Upon finishing breakfast & exiting said space however noticed air-conditioner cord placement lacked slack potentially causing tripping hazards inadvertently unless addressed via extension cords etc., ensuring safer arrangements moving forward ideally placed along floor surfaces instead perhaps? At drink stations meanwhile observed children independently pouring juices themselves leading towards waiting longer until they finished entirely before proceeding further personally thinking staff supervision presence nearby could enhance hygiene standards alongside smoother operations altogether positively impacting experiences holistically alike! Lastly regarding towels provided within rooms specifically noted availability solely limited towards bathing purposes exclusively whereas additional ones designated separately catering facial/handwashing needs directly would've proven beneficial inclusively enhancing convenience factor overall appreciably likewise! Looking forward eagerly toward visiting again someday soon hopefully!

    Beautiful night views and high-level customer service by our staff.

    Completely satisfied, with beautiful night views. Last year, I stayed at a nearby tourist hotel, but the hospitality at Kaze no Mori was exceptional. During our trip, young staff members engaged with us politely and attentively. We had conversations during dinner, and their high-level service and casual chats were impressive. The precious time of our trip was spent pleasantly. Thank you very much. The night view from the room and terrace was also stunning. I asked about using a camera tripod at the front desk, received permission, and could take photos without any issues. The staff's response at that time was also satisfying. Being able to enjoy sparklers on the terrace seemed to delight families with children. I’m attaching photos taken from the terrace. Depending on the weather, there’s even more variety in its beauty to enjoy. I will stay here again!

    This time, I stayed with my elderly mother. We reserved a special room because it had a private bath and were looking forward to the day, but the actual room exceeded our expectations! The view from the room was truly amazing!! My mother was very pleased. Thank you so much. The staff members were also incredibly kind and accommodating, for which we are deeply grateful. We are already talking about how we definitely want to visit again, even though we just got back (laughs). It became a wonderful memory for us. Thank you very much!

    Absolutely amazing!!

    From the shuttle service pick-up to the stylish lobby with a great view, the newly renovated and clean large public bath, the comfortable and spotless room, and the free drink service—everything was absolutely wonderful. The temperature of the outdoor bath was just perfect, making it an exceptional experience. The dinner prepared by the head chef was incredibly delicious from start to finish, with a menu that changes every 1.5 months. Although we have visited many ryokans and hotels before, this is the first time we felt like returning immediately. The breakfast was also delightful. The staff provided warm and kind hospitality in every situation—whether at the lobby, restaurant, or during shuttle service. Even during our departure in rainy weather, they came outside to see us off with care, which deeply moved us. Our entire family was completely satisfied. We will definitely visit again! Thank you for providing such a happy time!

    It has been renovated into a wonderful accommodation.

    Before the pandemic, I frequently stayed at this accommodation as my regular choice, and this time I visited for the first time in 7-8 years. During this period, the entire accommodation has been renovated, and it was excellent. The lobby has become more comfortable and now provides direct access to the deck, which is very convenient. A new free drink corner has been added next to the lobby, offering a wide variety of beverages available anytime. The shop has also expanded slightly with a renewed selection of products. The room was full of cleanliness with larger windows, making it much more functional and pleasant to stay in. The large public bath had a cleaner changing area, which made it very enjoyable. Meals were as delicious as ever with beautiful tableware enhancing the dining experience. For dinner during our stay—since we had informed them beforehand that it was a trip for a special anniversary—they surprised us with something thoughtful; thank you so much for that! Breakfast has changed from a buffet style to Japanese-style breakfast but could be enjoyed leisurely nonetheless. Above all else, what remains unchanged is this accommodation's outstanding scenery—the night view especially is breathtakingly beautiful! I look forward to staying here again in the future. Thank you very much!

    It was a calm and nice Hotel.

    I would like to stay again, but I was slightly concerned about the dryness of the Room. Even with a humidifier, wet towels dried quickly. The toothpaste provided had very little content; despite using it sparingly at night, there was almost none left for the morning. It was disappointing that getting a refill for breakfast took too much time as we had to call each time. Although it was described as miso soup with plenty of ingredients, there were hardly any ingredients in it. Other than that, it was a very lovely Facility.

    Found a great accomm...

    Found a great accommodation nearby. Traveled with a 0-year-old baby, but we were able to enjoy it with peace of mind. The meals were delicious and just the right amount. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration. It would be wonderful if the large public bath could be available until around 10 AM in the morning. Unfortunately, it rained, so we couldn't go out on the terrace, but we'll visit again when the weather is nice.

    One-night stay nearby

    Thank you very much for your hospitality the other day. We enjoyed relaxing in the spacious lobby of the Property and unwinding by the fireplace in the evening. The Room was spacious, clean, and offered a fantastic experience of soaking in the bath while enjoying the night view and morning sunrise. I feel fortunate to have found such a wonderful Property nearby and will definitely return again. I sincerely apologize for the trouble caused when I carelessly dropped my phone out of the window. I am deeply grateful to the staff for their efforts in locating it despite the busy morning hours. Thank you so much!

    On a sunny day,

    I stayed with my elderly mother. We visited to enjoy the autumn leaves, but it was a bit disappointing as they had just started to change color and the weather was cloudy. However, the view cleared up at night, and the night view was truly wonderful. The meals were also delicious. The staff were kind, and it was a very comfortable property.     Very good Hotel.

    Previously, the observation bath was only available in the annex, but after the renewal, I learned that rooms with observation baths are now available in the main building as well, so I decided to visit. The angle of the building is different from the annex, allowing for a wider view of the southern side. The room was also spacious. Although there is no massage chair like in the annex, I was able to relax sufficiently. A new free drink station has been set up in the lobby, offering coffee, juice, and wine. Enjoying a drink while gazing at the spectacular view is exceptional. This time, I was very pleased that breakfast was served in a room with a view. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The staff's response was elegant and pleasant, making me want to visit again. I think it's a good Hotel.

    Almost there

    I heard that Kaze no Mori, which I visited with my family for lunch and onsen a long time ago, has been renovated, so I stayed for one night to relax by myself. The staff were all pleasant, and the spectacular view from the spacious lobby and terrace was wonderful. The free drinks for guests included not only wine, coffee, and tea but also Minoh's yuzu juice, which allowed me to enjoy the local flavor without being too sweet, making it a great choice. The room was clean, and the fact that bottled alkaline ion water was in the refrigerator and could be replenished freely was a wonderful attempt to balance environmental consideration and guest convenience. Other environmentally friendly aspects were seen here and there, which left a good impression. The reason for deducting one star is that when I called before check-in to ask about the location of coin lockers around Minoh Station, the response was vague and made me anxious. (I wanted to leave my luggage and explore the waterfall path the next day, so I didn't want to wander around unnecessarily and ended up using the station's coin lockers.) Perhaps because I was a solo guest, my seat during meals was at the end with a half-mountain view outside the window, and since it was facing east, it was very bright, especially during breakfast. Also, I was really looking forward to the bath, and while I was satisfied with the hot water and night view in one of the three baths at night, I had to give up bathing the next day because there were no towels after returning the used ones to the box, and I felt it would be rude to contact the front desk early in the morning. Initially, only one large, rather rough bath towel and one thin onsen towel were provided, and if I had known, I would have brought my own towel, which was disappointing. However, these issues might be common sense at a ryokan, as I have only stayed in hotels for nearly 30 years, so if that's the case, I apologize. I am aware that this is quite a strict opinion, but it was only a little disappointing because everything else was wonderful. I look forward to visiting again.
