    We were extremely satisfied!

    We were worried as it was our first stay with our dog, but we were very satisfied. The Room had everything we needed, including dog amenities and a crate. All the staff were very kind to both our child and our dog, which we truly appreciated. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious.

    It’s beautiful!

    Smooth check-in, and I was satisfied with the clean and spacious Room. If there were a large public bath, it would be 5 stars. The meals felt very average. I’d like to stay again if I have the chance.

    Second stay

    Three years ago, we stayed at Regina on our first trip after getting a dog, also to celebrate each of our children’s graduations. We were truly impressed at how comfortable traveling with a dog could be. After that, we tried several other dog-friendly properties, but this time we returned for the first time in three years—again to celebrate a graduation. The Facility is still spotless and the hospitality is outstanding! We had a wonderful time again. We felt once more that Regina is the perfect choice for important family milestone trips. We look forward to staying with you again next time.

    Dog-friendly

    Thank you for taking care of us on our first trip with our beloved dog. All the staff were very kind and attentive, and they were gentle with our dog as well. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast and dinner. The Room was comfortable, too. We would love to stay again.

    You’ll be fully satisfied with this Hotel for stays with pets.

    I stayed with a small dog and my 2-year-old child. We could enjoy the Facility throughout the entire building with our dog, and the Hotel staff were very friendly to both children and pets, making our stay comfortable. The Facility was well equipped, and both the bath and the Room were spacious enough. The price is fairly high, but considering the convenient location, comprehensive facilities, and service, I was satisfied. (Although we had a very comfortable stay, if I had to mention one area for improvement) The bed was very high, so when staying with a child I was worried about them falling off while sleeping.

    Healing Accommodation

    This time, we visited during the once-a-year three-day period when a Japanese-Western fusion menu is offered. Every dish was excellent and generously portioned, and we were able to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace with our dog. The staff were warm and welcoming, making our stay very comfortable. The Room had high ceilings and felt spacious, with no pet odor and an exceptional level of cleanliness; it also had underfloor heating, so we stayed very comfortably. We would love to return again in a different season. Thank you for a wonderful time.

    The Best Year-End Getaway: Enjoy Karuizawa

    Everything was absolutely wonderful! This Hotel was designed with dogs in mind, making it very comfortable for our beloved dogs. Of course, we owners were also completely satisfied with our one-night, two-day stay. The front desk staff were kind, and they responded carefully to any questions we had. The Room was clean and relaxing. We also really appreciated the double-door entry to prevent escapes and the Poop Box. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Thank you as well for accommodating allergies. Everything was excellent, including the drinks. After dinner, we enjoyed drinks at the bar—the atmosphere was great, and we even learned more about whisky. There was also a seasonal photo spot where we could take pictures with our dogs. This time it was just one night, but next time we’d love to visit for a Multiple Night Stay. Above all, all of the Hotel staff were so kind! Thank you very much!

    Thank you very much for taking carefinal of us for two nights to celebrate our dog’s 2nd birthday and our wedding anniversary. This was our first time staying with Regina. It was also our first trip staying overnight with our dog, so we started out feeling nervous and excited, with a little anxiety as well. From arrival to check-out, every moment was filled with warm hospitality, and both my spouse and I—and our dog—were truly satisfied. We were able to spend two days enjoying the most wonderful time, every single moment. The meals were generous in portion, and everything we ate was absolutely delicious. The Room was spacious, and it was thoroughly cleaned down to every detail, so we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. We would definitely love to stay with Regina again. Thank you very much for everything. It became a once-in-a-lifetime memory!

    This was the ideal resort for traveling with my dog, offering exceptional attention to detail and outstanding comfort. It was such a satisfying stay that I’d love to try their sister properties as well. Room - My dog could play freely and safely, and we were able to truly relax. The best part was being able to unwind without worrying about other guests or dogs. - The dog amenities (crate, food bowls, wet wipes, etc.) were very well stocked, so there was little we needed to bring—making it easy to travel light. Dining - In the dining area, there were appropriate partitions between tables, so we could enjoy our meal calmly without being overly concerned about other dogs or guests. - Since many guests were traveling with dogs and the atmosphere was lively overall, even when my dog barked a little I didn’t feel the need to worry too much—it felt like a warm “we’re all in this together” environment. Service - Every staff member spoke kindly to my dog, and I truly felt welcomed. Their high level of hospitality came through in every detail. - Their dog-first service was thorough, and I felt completely at ease throughout our stay. The location in Old Karuizawa was also wonderful, and we enjoyed walking around with our dog. I wholeheartedly recommend this Accommodation to anyone who wants to fully enjoy traveling *together* with their dog. Thank you very much for everything.

    It’s my favorite place—quiet and relaxing.

    Although it rained unfortunately, the meals were delicious and the portions were just right, and it was so quiet that we couldn’t hear any noise from around us, allowing us to relax and unwind. The only downside was that it wasn’t an Onsen. We would like to stay again when the weather is nicer.

    Back in Karuizawa After a While

    I have stayed at Regina several times. This was my first visit to Karuizawa, and I came with two senior dogs. One of them is not comfortable around other dogs, so I couldn’t bring them to the dining area, but instead they both seemed very happy—perhaps because they liked the original pet food. The bathroom was very clean. I truly enjoyed a relaxing bath in the large bathtub, and the floor heating was also much appreciated. The bed firmness suited our bodies well, so we were able to recover from the fatigue of a long trip. We felt so refreshed that we are even considering purchasing a Serta bed. In the morning, we could step out onto the balcony and enjoy forest bathing as well. All of the staff were kind, and it made me happy to hear greetings such as “good morning” and “good night.” I drink a lot of water, and at both dinner and breakfast the staff kindly refilled my glass without us having to call them over, which made our meals very comfortable. One suggestion: if possible next time, we would appreciate a Room closer to the entrance for my elderly husband. We look forward to staying with you again. Thank you very much.

    Attentive and courteous service from the staff

    My dog barked at strangers during mealtimes, so to avoid disturbing others, the front desk kindly looked after my dog during meals only. They also responded quickly to replenish any missing items. The meals were very delicious.

    Only the suite was available, but it smelled bad and was unpleasant.

    It was very disappointing. When I stayed before COVID, there was no odor at all, and the hospitality was excellent. But this time I was disappointed. The Room smelled. The odor had seeped into the futon and sofa. On top of that, it felt obvious that the focus was on how to raise spending per guest. Rather than making money through add-on services, please differentiate yourselves from others. The food also lacked originality. It used to be far better. If the menu hasn’t changed, then it’s an issue with the service staff. I travel year-round, and honestly, it felt like a Business Hotel level experience. Where did the sparkle from back then go? I’d like you to raise the base rate and be much more particular about quality so overall satisfaction improves. This is my first time at a dog-friendly Hotel where I couldn’t sleep because the futon smelled like dogs. In any case, something just felt off... Please make it more upscale! Even if prices go up, guests will come if it’s a truly comfortable space.

    First Stay at Regina Resort

    Every time I searched for accommodations where I could stay with my beloved dog, Regina Resort hotels always appeared, and the reviews were excellent. I've always wanted to stay there someday. This time, my wish came true, and I was able to visit for the first time. The Old Karuizawa location we stayed at offered a shuttle service to Karuizawa Station if reserved in advance, which was very convenient. The room we stayed in had a calm atmosphere and was comfortable and relaxing. It was also wonderful that I could bring my dog to the restaurant and that there were meal options available for pets. The meals featured local ingredients and seasonal items, which were absolutely delicious. As a suggestion, it would be even better if the bed height in the room could be lowered so that it would be easier to have child sharing existing bedding with my dog. It was such a lovely hotel that I would love to visit again!

    Your Dog's Birthday

    This was my first time using this accommodation. At first, I didn't have high expectations since it was a place where you can stay with dogs, but the room and facility were clean and had a sense of cleanliness. The staff provided excellent service, and both dinner and breakfast were truly delicious.     Perfect for dogs!

    We had a comfortable stay with our beloved dog. The food was delicious. However, it seemed that many of the staff were inexperienced. After returning home, we realized that proof of vaccination and rabies certification was not requested.

    Autumn Karuizawa 1-Night, 2-Day Trip

    We stayed here for the first time to celebrate our beloved dog's birthday. Despite making the reservation just a day in advance, the staff promptly prepared a birthday cake and were all very kind to our dog, making it a highly satisfying stay. The room was clean and equipped with pet supplies, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious. The menu for dogs was also extensive, which made our dog happy throughout the stay. We will definitely use this accommodation again if we visit Karuizawa in the future.

    Had a wonderful time with my beloved dog!

    This accommodation allows you to stay with your beloved dog, and we had our first experience bringing our dog along. As expected, the staff's hospitality, meals, and attentive service made this trip truly satisfying. Our dog also seemed to enjoy the stay. The room was clean and comfortable; however, since we stayed as a group of four people and one dog, one person had to use the sofa bed. This limited the seating options for relaxing, which was a bit disappointing. Next time, we plan to book a suite room! We’ve created another wonderful memory here. Thank you very much!

    First Stay with Your Dog

    It was a more comfortable accommodation for guests with dogs than expected. Located in a great spot in Karuizawa, the walk to Kumoba Pond was very pleasant. The only minor concern was the quality of the toilet paper in the room.

    First Family Trip with Your Beloved Dog

    We stayed with our family of five and our beloved dog for our first family trip together. Although we were initially nervous about traveling with a dog, the staff was incredibly kind and attentive, especially towards our dog, which allowed us to relax and enjoy a comfortable stay. The room was very clean with no trace of pet odors, maintaining a fresh and pleasant atmosphere. While it was slightly disappointing that there was no large public bath, the spacious and comfortable bathroom in the room made up for it. The meals were simple rather than extravagant but overall satisfying. Most importantly, we were delighted to enjoy dining together with our dog. The dining area ensured proper spacing between other dogs, with partitions providing a calm environment. All the guests seemed to be dog lovers as well, creating a friendly atmosphere where dogs could play happily in the on-site dog run—our own pup had an amazing time! This stay created wonderful memories for us all. We look forward to visiting other Regina Resort facilities in the future!

    The Room, cuisine, Facility, and service are all exceptional every time. The meals and allergy accommodations are handled with great care, allowing us to enjoy a truly comfortable and happy stay at the Hotel.     There are many accommodations where you can stay with your dog, but Regina Resort stands out for its cleanliness and services that prioritize both dogs and people. While there is no large public bath, the room's private bath was clean and spacious, equipped with the latest showerhead. You can also leave your dog in a staffed area for about 90 minutes, allowing you to enjoy the onsen. The meals were incredibly delicious! My husband even had several servings of rice. Although it was just a one-night stay, we had a wonderful time with our beloved dog. Thank you so much! We're already talking about visiting again soon.

    This is the only accommodation I stay at in Karuizawa.

    I have been staying here many times with my 4.5-year-old miniature dachshund since he was a puppy. The guest rooms and shared spaces are always clean, the staff is very friendly, and the meals (for both humans and dogs) are delicious, making it a very relaxing Facility. On sunny days, we enjoy cycling with our dog using the Hotel's rental bicycles or playing in the dog run while sipping coffee—our dog absolutely loves it!

    I fell in love with Karuizawa.

    The Hotel staff were all very kind to dogs, and the stay was comfortable. The location was excellent, making it easy to go for walks. You can walk to Kumoba Pond, where parking is usually difficult, making it a fulfilling trip with your dog.

    Exceeds expectations.

    The Hotel welcomed dogs in a warm and comforting atmosphere. Everyone was kind to the dogs, which we truly appreciated. The Room was much more beautiful than it appeared on the website. It had high ceilings and stylish decor. The microwave was a convenient addition. The bathroom was spacious, making for a very pleasant experience.

    I had a relaxing and restful vacation.

    The staff's hospitality, service, meals, and comfort were truly exceptional, allowing us to enjoy a relaxing vacation. We traveled by car with four people and two dogs, and from the moment we entered the facility until we left, we felt warmly welcomed. For one member with allergies, the meals were carefully handled and explained from the time of reservation to when they were served. This thoughtful attention allowed everyone to enjoy delicious meals together. Since it was our dog's birthday month, we informed the staff in advance. They provided a dog-friendly cake and even took a group photo for us. At checkout, they gave us a framed photo along with an offer to send digital copies as well—this thoughtful gesture was greatly appreciated. The joy and excitement are clearly reflected in everyone's expressions in the photo! One small suggestion: while the spacious bathtub in our room was lovely, having access to an elegant onsen bathhouse would make the experience even more delightful.

    With Your Beloved Dog

    This was my first visit to Regina Resort. The entire facility is dog-friendly, prioritizing dogs.     First-time Use

    Following my experience in Mikage, I stayed in Old Karuizawa for the first time. Just like Mikage, the quality was exceptionally high and impressive. However, while the bathroom looked great, it was not very user-friendly. It might be suitable for those who prefer showers, but for people accustomed to traditional bath usage, it posed some challenges. This aspect was a bit disappointing.
