    My first 5-star rating

    It’s rare to be fully satisfied with both the Room/Facility and the meals, but here we were delighted with both. It felt well worth the price—perhaps even a great value. Each dish was beautifully presented, full of seasonal flair, and a pleasure to look at. The taste was also top-class. The room was clean and new, and the open-air bath with free-flowing hot spring water had a distinctive, silky-smooth quality. I’d love to visit again if I have the chance.

    It was wonderful.

    Thank you very much for taking such good care of me during my stay. It was a solo trip before retirement, and I was able to relax and truly enjoy myself. The meals were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. I only regret that I was too full to enjoy the late-night snack. I was also thrilled to be able to see Inuyama Castle from my Room. However, it was snowing and extremely cold, and I ended up getting chilled. Because of the cold, I couldn’t open the railing of the semi-open-air bath in the Room, so I wasn’t able to see Inuyama Castle from the bath. Next time, I would love to visit in a warmer season if possible.

    A Luxurious Stay

    This time, we stayed in the Room closest to Inuyama Castle. Lying back on the heated stone spa chair and gazing at Inuyama Castle, time flew by in an instant. It was truly a luxurious moment. Once again, we were completely satisfied with everything—the Room, the food, and the service! We can’t wait for our next stay.

    It was my first time staying here.

    I chose this Accommodation to relax after suddenly finding some free time. From my pre-departure inquiry onward, the staff were extremely courteous, which made me feel at ease throughout my stay. My first time sightseeing in Inuyama was also very enjoyable. The view from the Room was lovely, and every dish was delicious—especially the appetizers, which were beautifully arranged with pine, bamboo, and plum decorations that gave a happy New Year’s good-luck feeling. (By the way, what kind of pine was that long branch?) I understand it can’t be helped, but due to the layout of the Room, it still felt cold even with the air conditioner running. I borrowed a blanket and was able to sleep warmly, but when sitting on the sofa my feet still got quite cold. Warming up in the Onsen made it manageable, but I thought it would be nice if there were a safe electric heater available. Overall, I was very satisfied with this Accommodation—above all, I was impressed by the warm hospitality of the staff and would love to visit again in a different season. Thank you very much.

    The lounge now has an additional refrigerator, making everything perfect. (I didn't use the free private bath as the time was short and it seemed visible from the castle.) The staff in charge of meals, both at night and in the morning, were incredibly pleasant and wonderful. At checkout, they gave me Ryokan's original candy with a heartfelt mini letter attached, which made me want to visit again even more.

    For my mother's birthday celebration

    I used this for my mother's birthday celebration. The food, the room, and the staff's hospitality were all excellent, making it a wonderful memory. Although it couldn't be helped due to our schedule, I regret not checking in earlier and enjoying the stay to the fullest until the last moment. I would love to use this again for another special occasion.

    I had a very relaxing stay this time as well.

    We were very satisfied with the food, facility, and service this time as well, and had a relaxing stay. We especially enjoyed the excellent selection of Japanese sake and dishes chosen by Mr. Yoshida. Previously, we mentioned some disappointment regarding breakfast, but it has been improved, which was great to see. This time marked our 40th wedding anniversary, and we truly appreciated all the thoughtful arrangements made for us. Next time, we hope to visit again to enjoy our favorite ayu fish as a couple. Thank you for your hospitality!

    The private bath is ...

    The private bath is located up about 30 steps, which made it difficult for my elderly mother to use, unfortunately. The low-temperature cooked meat was tender and easy for my mother to eat without cutting. The cotton candy melting presentation was delightful. The fish wrapped in cedarwood and unwrapped from bamboo skin was also enjoyable. However, the flavor of the fried tofu in the late-night inari sushi didn't quite suit our taste. Breakfast was luxurious and very filling. The rice seemed carefully selected and was delicious. It would have been even better if the broth for the hot pot had a stronger aroma. This accommodation provided takeout cups so we could enjoy drinks in the car on our way home—something we experienced for the first time! With such attention to detail, this is an accommodation we would love to visit again.

    I had been interested in staying here for a long time, and this was my first visit. The room layout, atmosphere, bathing facilities, meals, and hospitality perfectly matched my personal preferences and senses, making it a truly wonderful experience. Blessed with calm and gentle winter weather, I also enjoyed easy access to beautiful spots like the historic and traditional Inuyama Castle.     It was a wonderful accommodation! First, the shuttle service from the station made us feel like VIPs. From the lobby, you can view the Kiso River, which inspired the name of this accommodation, and from the bath, you can see Inuyama Castle beautifully lit up at night. The onsen had a silky smooth texture and was very relaxing. While slippers are provided in the room, walking barefoot is highly recommended to enjoy the soothing feel of tatami mats and wooden floors. The room was spacious and comfortable, combining traditional Japanese charm with modern functionality. The meals were all delicious, carefully prepared with a playful touch that left us completely satisfied. The refined flavors brought out by dashi were exquisite, and despite having many dishes to enjoy, it never felt heavy on our stomachs. Thank you to all the staff for your kindness and hospitality. We would love to stay here again!

    The view is spectacular.

    This time, I stayed in a room facing Inuyama Castle. The view of Inuyama Castle from the bath was amazing. When I mentioned that I am not good with raw fish, they kindly changed the dishes to cooked ones. Thank you for your thoughtfulness. I am looking forward to my stay next month as well.

    Long-awaited Accommodation

    I stayed at the accommodation I had been curious about with my son. Completely satisfied with the room, bath, food, and service. Another accommodation has been added to my list of places to revisit. Next time, I would like to try staying in a different type of room.

    Filial Piety

    This is my second visit. Last time, I came with friends and had a great experience, so this time I visited with my mother and aunt. I was able to relax again this time as well. Thank you for installing handrails for my mother; thanks to them, she was able to enjoy the Onsen despite her leg issues. My mother, who usually doesn't like going out recently, said she wants to come again next year. Thank you very much! The food was also very delicious.

    At the accommodation...

    At the accommodation near Inuyama Castle, the view of the illuminated castle from the private bath was stunning. Both dinner and breakfast were exquisite and meticulously prepared, offering a truly delicious experience. The saxophone performance after dinner and other relaxing activities provided a serene time for adults to unwind. I would love to visit again.

    Always excellent meals.

    This is my third stay at this accommodation. The quality of the meals is very high, and the hospitality is excellent. It definitely makes me want to stay again. However, it is quite far from Tokyo.

    The reviews were excellent, so I decided to stay here. Since this year marks our 20th wedding anniversary, I asked my husband to take a day off and made a reservation. Thank you for accommodating our food requests so kindly. The dinner was delicious, especially the shrimp fish cake and Wagyu tenderloin, which were outstanding. The harp performance in the lounge was very elegant and soothing. Everything was perfect, making it an incredibly satisfying day. Lastly, thank you for the handwritten message from the staff—it made me very happy!

    Accommodation for a luxurious stay

    My wife had always wanted to stay at this accommodation, so we chose to stay at Geihanro this time. The hospitality was exceptional, and the deliciousness of the meals truly amazed us. Each dish, made with seasonal and local ingredients, was outstanding as expected from a ryokan specializing in cuisine, perfectly paired with Japanese sake. In the lounge, inclusive wine and beer were also available—an absolute delight for alcohol enthusiasts. The baths were luxurious; aside from private baths, you could enjoy a breathtaking view of Inuyama Castle from the room bath while relaxing in the soothing waters. Even upon departure, we were warmly seen off until our car left—a wonderful experience from start to finish!

    Why are questions asked?

    My son and husband, who live abroad, stayed for one night. When they returned home, they shared their impressions with me. I found it quite perplexing. They mentioned that the dining staff asked them many personal questions, such as where they live, their age, and what they are currently doing. Are these appropriate questions to ask? Is this information necessary to know? Although my son answered politely with a wry smile, he should have firmly declined. Then the staff began talking about themselves—sharing stories like taking their first flight somewhere and so on. There are various perspectives on this matter; however, I believe professional service should be maintained rather than treating guests like friends. My husband is not one to complain at all but seemed uncomfortable about the experience. Considering that they came to Japan for a short vacation and had planned an enjoyable outing during their stay, I feel deeply sorry for booking this reservation for them under such circumstances. I find it unacceptable and disappointing.

    This was my first visit to Inuyama. I traveled by train, and while I took a taxi on the way there, the accommodation staff kindly drove me to the station on my return, making everything very convenient. I explored the surrounding area on foot, but unfortunately, it rained, which was a bit disappointing. Instead, I enjoyed the onsen in the room's bath and the private bath. The water quality seemed to suit me well, leaving my skin smooth, and I loved the excellent onsen experience. The meals were served in a semi-private setting, but lively voices from other rooms could be heard throughout, which was disappointing as I wanted to dine quietly. However, the meal itself featured all my favorite ingredients, and I thoroughly enjoyed it until the very end! The view from the room I stayed in this time was not great, and I thought the opposite side would have been better. Since it's not far from Nagoya, I would like to visit again if I have the chance.
