    This is my second stay.

    The highlight of our stay was the provision of shirasu during breakfast. It’s exciting when shirasu is brought into the room. We hope this service continues. Additionally, the bath temperature is always very comfortable. Despite making a last-minute reservation the day before, you managed to accommodate our request for additional buri sashimi. This time, we stayed in a corner room during an extreme cold wave, and even with the heater set at 30 degrees, the room felt slightly chilly. Overall, it’s an accommodation that offers just the right level of comfort for a couple traveling from Osaka. We will definitely return!

    The cuisine is highly satisfying.

    Both dinner and breakfast were highly satisfying. The Kumano beef for dinner and the freshly boiled whitebait for breakfast were particularly excellent. I would love to stay here again.

    We had a truly wonderful time!

    The entire facility has a certain historical charm, but it has been renovated and is very clean. The spacious Japanese-Western style room we stayed in offered a clear view of the ocean, allowing us to spend wonderful moments with my in-laws. We enjoyed relaxing with tea in the lounge, watching the sunset, and indulging in luxurious meals served privately—everything was truly impressive! The open-air bath at sunrise was also exceptional. However, one issue was that the wood from the sliding door frame in the room's antechamber would crumble and scatter as large splinters around the room. It could be quite painful if stepped on...

    The open-air bath is wonderful.

    The accommodation was beautifully renovated, very clean overall, and had a calming Japanese atmosphere. The room was comfortable with a shoe-free entry style. The ocean view from the window was stunning, and upon returning from dinner, the futon was already laid out for us. Although the room's bathroom only had a shower without a bathtub, we used the large public bath and didn’t feel inconvenienced. The room also had an air purifier with a humidifying function that could be used by filling it with water yourself. The large public bath featured an onsen with warm changing rooms equipped with spacious sinks, several three-sided mirror booths, and a water dispenser. Inside were both a regular bathtub and one jacuzzi-style tub as well as an outdoor bath. The outdoor bath had a traditional Japanese ambiance that provided great relaxation. Meals were served in private rooms connected at the top; some required removing shoes while others allowed entry with shoes on. It was delightful that rice cooked in clay pots could be refilled freely! They accommodated requests like cooking meat thoroughly, which left us impressed. Charcoal-grilled meat and vegetables were aromatic and deliciously flavorful, while sashimi portions were generous enough to leave us fully satisfied. Breakfast included a half-buffet style offering items like rolled omelets (dashimaki), natto (fermented soybeans), yogurt, shirasu (whitebait), all available for unlimited refills! Even when rolled omelets ran out they promptly prepared more upon request—such attentive service! In the lounge exclusively for guests staying overnight there were two massage chairs along with two ocean-view seats plus spacious sofas or cozy secluded areas where coffee or cocoa could be enjoyed self-served without limits—massage chairs felt incredibly relaxing though having more would’ve been even better! Shuttle service between Wakayama Station/Wakayama City Station made traveling convenient; however additional midday trips might allow earlier arrivals enabling luggage drop-offs before exploring nearby beaches/markets extending enjoyable stays further enhancing experiences altogether. Regretfully missed trying billiards/darts despite their availability leaving slight disappointment behind yet everything else including building ambiance cuisine hot springs staff hospitality exceeded expectations making me eager about returning someday soon—thank you so much!

    It was the worst birthday ever.

    I used this place for the first time to celebrate my wife's birthday, but it was terrible. The food tasted good. However, I had ordered a cake separately, which was neither brought during the meal nor placed in the Room as a surprise. When I contacted the front desk, it seemed they had forgotten about it. The delivered cake also had my wife's name written incorrectly on the decoration. For breakfast, we opted for an upgraded menu that listed lobster miso soup on the menu, but we were served regular fish soup instead. When questioned, they excused it as a mistake in the menu description. It turned out to be a birthday celebration where my wife declared she would never come back here again.

    The Room and Facility were clean, but the soundproofing seemed poor as we could clearly hear a noisy group late at night, making it hard to sleep. The dishes using local ingredients were good; however, the appetizers were ordinary, and the clam rice had dried-out clams, resembling pre-packaged mixed rice. Overall, it did not offer good value for money.

    The quality seems to be declining year by year.

    I stayed in the Royal Suite this time, but the shower water pressure was terrible, incomparable to other rooms on the same 7th floor. The open-air bath had no temperature adjustment, and there was a draft in the shower room. It seems quite harsh during winter. While the male staff at the front desk were fine, the female staff felt mechanical. However, the view from the room was spectacular, and as always, the dining staff were attentive and considerate. I will not reserve this room again.

    A Scenic Journey to Wakanoura

    I traveled to Wakanoura from November 6th to 7th. I took a shuttle bus from JR Wakayama Station and arrived at the hotel. The view of Wakanoura from the hotel's lounge was stunningly beautiful. From the room, the large window framed a serene view of Wakanoura's sea, resembling a painting. On the day of my stay, it was a clear autumn day, and I was able to enjoy a beautiful sunset. The hotel staff were incredibly kind and attentive, allowing me to relax completely. Dinner featured delicious dishes made with fresh local ingredients, and the shirasu rice for breakfast was exceptional. It was a clean and spacious hotel where my friend and I fully enjoyed our long-awaited trip. I am deeply grateful to all the hotel staff for their hospitality.

    The meals were excellent.

    The bath temperature was perfect for me. The Room door needs improvement, and the key is still old. The toilet is narrow but renovated and clean. The powder corner in the bath area was convenient and well-designed. Some old Facilities remain, so there is room for improvement. The staff's hospitality was excellent. The photo props corner was very enjoyable; it could be promoted more. The meals were outstanding. The dinner portions were just right—delicious and filling without being too much. Sashimi, sea bream hot pot, fish, steak—all were delicious, especially the firewood-grilled meat with its smoky flavor that I would love to have again!

    The service, meals, and Onsen were excellent.

    The hospitality, service, and food were truly excellent. However, there was a large stain on the ceiling light in the room that looked like mold, which diminished the cleanliness of the room. That was the only disappointment. The staff were always smiling, and the Onsen was comfortable and wonderful.

    I was deeply moved.

    The delicious and abundant cuisine, the view from the room, and the comfortable onsen are all perfect. If it were located in Kanto, I think I would use it frequently. I would love to visit this accommodation again when I have the chance.

    The service and cuisine were excellent.

    We decided to visit this accommodation on a whim as it was a nearby place we had always wanted to try. The room was a Japanese-Western style room on the top floor. The staff's hospitality was truly pleasant, and the food was absolutely delicious. On the downside, although it was mentioned that there would be a DVD player in the room, there wasn't one. Normally, I wouldn't mind during trips, but since this time our purpose was to relax nearby, I had brought some DVDs with me... If no rooms with DVD players were available despite being listed in the accommodation plan, I would have appreciated being informed beforehand. As for the room itself, while it's understandable that an older building has its limitations, walls, tatami mats, and beds were clean; however, the ceiling showed signs of wear and tear. Additionally, there was dust accumulated above the headboard of the bed... The room had separate areas for Japanese-style and bedroom spaces; however: - The TV was only in the Japanese-style area. - The Japanese-style area only had cushions without any chairs or backrests like zaisu (floor chairs), which made it slightly uncomfortable for someone like me who has back pain. That said though—watching sunrise views from our window made up beautifully!

    We had a great time.

    The front desk and dining staff were all polite and kind. The room was Room 701, which had been renovated, and the toilet and sink were clean. However, I was surprised to find a thick spider web near the window by the entrance door. It might have been overlooked as it was higher up... The meals were very delicious. The Onsen, especially the open-air bath, had a great atmosphere and was enjoyable. We also had fun playing darts and billiards in the community space. If given the chance, we would love to visit again in a different season. Thank you very much!

    The cuisine is exceptional!

    The dishes in the standard course were all very delicious. The beer was chilled perfectly, and even though I usually don't order more, I ended up having a second one. It was disappointing that the shower in the Room had low water pressure and there were no towels available in the public bath.

    Luxury Suite with Open-Air Bath

    Positive Points: The building is old, but the interior is well-cleaned and tidy. Meals were just the right amount and tasted delicious. Negative Points: Amenities in the large public bath felt cheap. Depending on the room grade, higher-quality hairdryers should be provided. The room felt smaller than it appeared in photos. For a Friday stay at 190,000 yen per night, it felt overpriced. A price range of 120,000 to 130,000 yen seems more reasonable for this hotel.

    This was my first stay, and I was thoroughly satisfied. From the moment I arrived at the accommodation, I was soothed by the serene interior design and the breathtaking ocean view right in front of me. The building itself has a historical charm, but with modern renovations, it perfectly blends traditional elegance with contemporary comfort. At check-in, I enjoyed a delicious plum wine welcome drink while admiring the ocean view, which made for a delightful start to my stay. Even before check-in time, they kindly stored my large luggage and even brought it to my room later—such thoughtful service! The exclusive lounge for guests, "Sorafune," was quiet and relaxing—a very comfortable space to unwind. The room had been renovated; while not particularly remarkable in terms of views, it was spacious and comfortable. The provided coffee and snacks were delicious and showed great attention to detail. The barrier-free toilet and shower were also much appreciated—it made rinsing swimsuits after enjoying the sea very convenient! The meals exceeded expectations as well. Despite choosing a standard course menu, both quality and quantity were more than sufficient. For dinner, the fresh cutlassfish sashimi and carefully grilled Kumano beef stood out as highlights. Having dinner in a private dining room added an extra layer of comfort to the experience. At breakfast, I especially enjoyed shirasu (whitebait), which paired perfectly with rice. After checking out, they kindly stored my luggage again until later in the day when they even provided space for me to freshen up before leaving—such considerate hospitality! The onsen offered stunning views from its open-air bath—a truly luxurious way to relax completely. Overall, this stay exceeded all expectations regarding service, facilities, and meals—I wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation to others! And without question—I look forward to visiting again myself. Thank you so much!

    This was our first trip with our elderly parents. There were billiards and darts that even seniors could enjoy inside the property, and unlimited free drinks such as coffee. Our parents were very satisfied, and we made wonderful memories. Thank you very much.

    The food was absolutely delicious, and everything we tried was amazing. The Room was clean and well-maintained. However, the massage chair in the Room did not work well. The yukata provided was wrinkled, but the staff kindly replaced it for us. All the staff members were very kind and accommodating, making our stay highly satisfying. We would definitely love to visit again!

    A quiet Hotel with breathtaking views

    Stayed quietly in a top-floor Japanese-Western style Room. The view and the content of both dinner and breakfast were excellent, but the narrow entrance driveway made it slightly inconvenient, especially on rainy days. While the interior of the building has been renovated, creaking sounds from the room's flooring and doors were noticeable. The complimentary drink service and massage chair were very appreciated. Overall, the price felt slightly high.

    An additional fee was charged for requesting a non-smoking room. In today's hospitality industry, non-smoking rooms are standard, so charging extra feels outdated. Shouldn't the fee be charged to smokers instead?

    The Last Journey

    My partner currently has dry skin, so we decided to stay in a Room with an open-air bath, as the public bath might be uncomfortable for others. It turned out to be an incredibly comfortable bath, and my partner was very satisfied. I used both the open-air bath in our Room and the public bath... Both were really great! The location right in front of the sea was absolutely amazing; we could see the sunset... it brought tears to my eyes. Relaxing amidst nature, dozing off on a chair, soaking in the bath while watching the sea... enjoying Onsen with a view of the sunrise was also fantastic! Moreover, both the food and service from Hotel staff were friendly and made for a very enjoyable trip! Thank you so much!! I definitely want to visit again!

    Meals, both breakfast and dinner, were served in a private room and the quality was excellent. The view from the Hotel was also amazing. It was worth more than the price.

    Family trip

    We stayed in two rooms on the top floor as a family of five. The view was spectacular, and the children were continuously amazed. We could leisurely enjoy watching kites flying close to the large windows, numerous ships passing by, and the sunset. The complimentary drink bar and massage chairs were excellent. The meals were extremely luxurious, and since it was a trip to celebrate our eldest daughter's success, the whole family was very satisfied. All of the staff who served us were polite and kind, which left us deeply impressed. During breakfast, they moved us to a room with a better view; we are grateful for everything until check-out. We would love to stay again.

    The renovation is incomplete.

    I reserved a designer's room, but I felt deceived by the layout of the room, which was too different from the photos. It is written that "the photos are examples and the room cannot be specified," and I did not expect the room to be exactly the same as the photos, but the layout was abnormal despite paying the same amount. Since it seems to be undergoing renovation, some inconvenience is understandable, but the design felt so cramped that I even felt anger at the claim that it was the same room as in the photos. I was also looking forward to a massage at the "Sorafune" welcome lounge, but the room smelled of cigarettes, which made me feel very uncomfortable. It seems it was originally a smoking-allowed space, but the renovation was incomplete. I didn't have high expectations, but it turned out to be a ryokan that made me think, "as expected..."

    Satisfaction!

    I found this Stays while looking for a place to relax nearby. It was a trip with my parents, and the Property had been renovated after being damaged by a typhoon a few years ago. The Room was a Japanese-Western style on the top floor, and the meals were served in a private room with a wide variety of delicious dishes. It would have been even better if there was a sauna in the bath. There were also billiards and darts, which helped pass the time. Although the number of people decreased from the original plan, I would like to visit this Stays again if I have the chance. The staff were kind and it was a pleasant experience. Thank you very much.

    It was a courteous hospitality. Unfortunately, I reserved a room with an open-air bath, but the washing area was also outdoors, making it unbearably cold and completely visible from outside, so I had no choice but to reserve a private bath. It was disappointing.
