    Enjoy breathtaking views of Shirahama from above and warm hospitality from our staff.

    Nanki Shirahama is often associated with accommodations near the sea, but I was immediately drawn to this place by the photos of the bath. Upon closer inspection, it’s actually located on a hill far from the sea. However, if your goal isn’t swimming in the ocean (though that’s fine too), this is a perfect spot for a more mature and relaxed stay—highly recommended for two nights. Flying in from Tokyo on Friday night and staying through Saturday would be ideal. The Onsen setup is exceptional. You can lie down while gazing at the sea and sky as water flows over the edge of the Onsen with a gentle slope, allowing your arms to soak while you take in nature's beauty—pure luxury. Spend nearly an hour in the evening watching the sunset, observing hotel lights begin to glow as you marvel at the horizon's curve—it deepens your connection with nature. It feels like meditative bathing ("Nyuyoku Zen"). For some reason, men have access to a smaller bath area during evenings; meanwhile, women enjoy larger spaces plus central baths only available early mornings for men. Perhaps combining central baths with smaller ones for men and reserving larger seaside baths exclusively could balance things out—it seems women are quite fortunate here! The room has an unexpectedly traditional Japanese style but remains very comfortable. In terms of amenities: natural water from Hita wasn’t accessible during evening hours (a minor frustration due to unclear instructions about one-push operation). Settling instead for juice at reception was fine until learning how simple it was next morning after asking female guests! Clearer usage guidance would help avoid such moments. Meals were outstanding both morning & evening—the service impeccable—and Italian-inspired dishes made excellent use of high-quality ingredients! Unfortunately missed enjoying their beautiful pool due only staying briefly overnight. There’s live piano music within their bar lounge; next visit plans include finishing dinner earlier so cocktails or sampling 12 varieties plum wine alongside nighttime views become part relaxing experience! Overall impression? A sophisticated retreat catering adults seeking tranquility where peaceful stays encouraged among fellow guests alike!

    With Grandchildren

    We stayed at this Hotel with a total of 9 family members, including my daughter's family returning to Kansai from Tokyo during summer vacation and my son's family living in Kansai. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. They kindly responded to our inquiries about meals for the grandchildren multiple times in advance, allowing us to enjoy smooth dining experiences. We chose Japanese cuisine, which was beautifully presented with great attention to detail and absolutely delicious. Breakfast featured local ingredients from Wakayama, and the soft pickled plums were so tasty that we ended up purchasing some at the shop. We had reserved two Rooms, and they arranged adjacent Rooms for us, making it easy to move between them—this thoughtful arrangement was greatly appreciated. Thank you very much! It was a wonderful reunion where everyone could relax at the Hotel and enjoy multiple visits to the Onsen. The facility itself is spacious and allowed us to spend our time comfortably. Although we couldn't use the bar this time, we look forward to trying it on our next visit!

    It was our first time in Shirahama, and the bath and scenery were amazing. The hospitality was also very pleasant, making it a wonderful memory. Thank you very much for this experience. This time, we stayed in a room with a private bath as a family. We were very satisfied as we could enjoy the bath anytime with great views from the room. However, since the public bath was excellent, I think staying in a room without a private bath would still be enjoyable enough. By chance, we were able to see fireworks from the open-air bath, which made for an unforgettable moment. Regarding the food, although I initially didn’t have high expectations based on other reviews I read beforehand, it turned out to be delicious and plentiful. The children’s plate included various items like fried shrimp, hamburger steak, and potatoes that kids love—it made my child very happy. We also enjoyed using the pool; it had a resort-like atmosphere that felt refreshing. The shuttle service was flexible and accommodating in many ways, which was incredibly helpful. Next time, I’d love to bring my mother along!

    Accommodation you'll want to visit again

    Thank you for a wonderful stay. The accommodation is located on a hill, offering a great view of Shirarahama Beach. The facility is old but well-maintained. Dinner was highly satisfying. From the duck appetizer to the two main dishes—abalone and beef steak—everything was excellent, including the pasta and soup. It would have been even better with a more extensive wine selection. The breakfast buffet was also satisfying. While the variety may not be as extensive as similar hotels, everything I wanted was available. However, at check-in, I had to choose 7 AM for breakfast because it was the only time slot left, which was tough since I wanted to sleep in. Thanks to this system of time allocation, though, there were no crowds when getting food—it was comfortable overall. Still, it would be better if we could select our breakfast time during the reservation process like we do for dinner reservations—it should be possible! Despite these points, this is an accommodation I'd love to stay at again!

    Ideal for sightseeing.

    The open-air bath in the large public bath offers a wonderful setup and view. The Room is not very spacious but has a well-thought-out layout, creating a relaxing atmosphere, and the open-air bath on the lanai is also very comfortable. However, as it is separate from the shower room, it can only be used for soaking. The Italian dinner was delicious with good portion sizes; however, I was slightly surprised that the first amuse-bouche was already placed on the table before being seated—a first for me in Western dining. Additionally, the variety of alcoholic beverages was limited; having more options would have enhanced the dining experience further. The Hotel's location on an elevated area provides great views and easy access to famous spots like Sandanbeki Cliffs and Senjojiki Rock Plateau.

    I stay at this hotel every year. The facility and Onsen are, of course, excellent! The food, room, and the staff's hospitality are also outstanding. This year, I brought my mother along, and she was very pleased as well.

    The Room was comfortable.

    The room was comfortable. The pool and Onsen were excellent. However, the disappointing part was the children's meal. As soon as it was served, it looked unappetizing. Even the fried egg was very different from what was offered at breakfast. The portion size was overly large, but it seemed like something that had just been reheated without knowing when it was originally made. I would suggest increasing the variety of children's menu options and offering freshly prepared dishes such as fried chicken set meals or hamburger steak set meals, even as single items. Cutting corners for children is unacceptable. Everything else was wonderful, so I offer this feedback with high expectations in mind.

    Excellent

    The scenery, Onsen, and meals were, of course, excellent, but the service was also outstanding. Having stayed at numerous luxury hotels before, I can confidently say this Hotel ranks among the top for me without showing any signs of aging in its Facility. During dinner, we were kindly informed about the sunset and moved to the lobby to witness the sun setting over the horizon—it was breathtaking. It turned out to be a very relaxing and wonderful adult getaway. Thank you!

    Completely satisfied!

    It was my first visit, and I was completely satisfied with everything. First of all, the staff's courteous and warm hospitality made my stay truly comfortable. The room was designed to be relaxing, allowing me to unwind while enjoying the stunning view. Not only the room but also the entire facility was impeccably clean. The Onsen was incredibly soothing, and I appreciated the refreshing drink after bathing. As for the meals, both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. During dinner, a staff member asked me which dish left an impression on me, but I couldn't choose because everything was so delightful. I definitely want to visit again!

    Children Welcome

    The Onsen was great, and both the meals for adults and children were excellent. However, the smell of cigarettes reached the open-air bath, which was disappointing since we were with children and staying in a non-smoking room. If there is a smoking area in the same location, we will not stay there again.

    Mostly satisfied.

    The meals were delicious, the Hotel staff were pleasant, and the Onsen was very relaxing. However, while enjoying the open-air bath, there was a smell of cigarettes that ruined the experience. A companion staying in the neighboring Room also mentioned feeling disappointed. Please reconsider the location of smoking areas.

    Prime Location

    This was my first stay at this accommodation. The location from the hilltop is absolutely stunning. In the early morning, I enjoyed a blissful moment in the open-air bath in my room. The lounge accommodated us earlier than scheduled, and they even provided transportation to Adventure World outside of regular hours with great hospitality. Every staff member's smile made me extremely satisfied. The Italian dinner was exceptionally delicious. Although I initially considered accommodations along the coastline of Shirahama, I now firmly believe that staying on a hilltop is undoubtedly the best choice. I would love to stay at this hotel again next time! Thank you to all the staff for your kindness and hospitality!

    I was deeply moved.

    I planned a trip to stay at INFINITO HOTEL. Before checking in, I visited Panda Farewell Adventure Land and had fun, but after 3 PM, it started raining heavily, so I headed to the hotel. After checking in and entering my room, I looked out the window and saw Shirahama Beach clearly. Wondering if it was within walking distance, I went to ask at the front desk. At the front desk, I asked how long it would take to walk to the beach. They explained that while going downhill is easy, climbing back up is challenging even for locals—especially with wet roads due to rain—and that it would take time and be very difficult even with breaks. They advised against walking there. They mentioned taking a taxi as an option but said traveling back and forth could be troublesome, so I decided not to go to the beach. Later on, when visiting the hotel shop and talking with one of the staff members there about how disappointed I was not being able to visit Shirahama Beach due to rain making access difficult despite good weather allowing for walking trips normally—she suggested asking at reception if they could arrange shuttle service instead. With little expectation but some hopefulness nonetheless—I approached reception again where another staff member (a foreign lady) kindly assured me they'd provide shuttle service without issue! Her words brought immense joy! Soon enough—the hotel's shuttle bus arrived outside its entrance ready-to-go; upon boarding—it began pouring harder still yet thoughtful gestures continued flowing too: lending umbrellas generously offered by attentive team members ensuring comfort throughout journey ahead towards destination reached safely amidst scenic surroundings filled lively crowds enjoying sandy shores stretching far wide across horizon marvelously breathtaking indeed! Upon contacting them post-exploration signaling readiness return pickup promptly arranged efficiently executed seamlessly smooth ride back reflecting realization impossible feat attempting trek     The bath is excellent.

    It felt like an adult-oriented accommodation, quiet and relaxing even during the off-season. My husband and I travel once a month, and the bath here might be the best we've experienced so far. However, there were about 30 moths flying around in the outdoor bath at night, which was too scary for me to enter. So personally, spring and summer are not ideal for me. There were also a lot of winged ants swarming around, which was frightening. Other than that, everything was excellent!

    We stayed for one night and two days to see the pandas. The open-air bath had a great view and was very relaxing. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The Room was a bit disappointing, but overall, we left the Hotel very satisfied. Thank you!

    Meet the pandas!

    I made a last-minute reservation to meet the pandas at Adventure World. I was relieved as my usual hotel was fully booked. The view from the hilltop was great, and we enjoyed the Western-style dinner. It would be nice if there were a bit more variety in breakfast options. Staying with my family created wonderful memories for all of us.

    The Japanese-style room was traditional and classic, but the large public bath was excellent. Dinner, featuring Japanese cuisine, was served efficiently, which was very convenient for families with children. Breakfast offered a well-balanced menu and portion size. The stay was comfortable as it wasn’t overly crowded.

    Meet the Pandas

    Originally, I had booked a tour to Adventure World through a certain travel website, but it was canceled due to insufficient participants. While considering another opportunity, I heard the news that the pandas would be returned to China. Unable to give up, I found a package at this Hotel that included tickets to Adventure World and decided to book it. On the day of our trip, strong winds caused delays in express trains, and we had to give up visiting the pandas once again. However, we were grateful for the Shuttle Service waiting for us at the station. Thanks to this convenience, we decided to relax for the day and fully enjoyed the Onsen. The Italian course meal was delicious as well; even my elderly mother could eat everything and was very satisfied. The next day, we were taken to Adventure World by Shuttle Service. As expected on a Sunday, it was crowded but we were finally able to see the pandas—it made us truly happy! Located on an elevated hill away from Shirarahama Beach, it's not possible to take walks by the sea directly from here; however, this Resort Hotel offers great views and provides a relaxing atmosphere. Even after the pandas are gone someday, I would love to visit this Hotel again. Thank you for your hospitality!

    I had a very relaxing time.

    This was my first time staying at this accommodation. It was a stay for visiting Adventure World, and the location was convenient with smooth access via roads that were not congested. The guest room and onsen were spacious, offering a stunning view of the ocean, which was truly wonderful. The cleanliness of the accommodation made for a very pleasant stay. Dinner was relaxing and delicious, leaving me fully satisfied. However, breakfast was served on a plate, and I would have appreciated having the option of a Japanese set meal as well. Additionally, the humidifier in the room seemed to be broken as it did not function properly, leading to dryness and resulting in a sore throat the next morning. Aside from these points, including excellent staff service, everything else was great!

    The reviews were so good that I was a bit skeptical, but after actually staying, it was as great as the reviews or even better! I was completely satisfied with the accommodation fee, food, service, and cleanliness. The view from the bath was also amazing! It's been a while since I've found a hotel I want to revisit.     It was comfortable.

    Renovated and reopened in 2017, the room facilities are quite old (e.g., the washlet is from Matsushita Electric). However, everything is clean, so the age doesn't bother you. The staff are all very pleasant, the meals are delicious, and above all, the large public bath (Onsen) is excellent. It was a very comfortable stay. Having separate yukata and pajamas provided was also a nice touch.

    I had a comfortable stay.

    All the staff were incredibly pleasant and provided excellent service. Their approach was neither overly formal nor too casual, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere that reflected their genuine personalities. Additionally, I have a gluten allergy, and when I requested gluten-free meals, they accommodated my needs perfectly, which gave me peace of mind. The menu was thoughtfully crafted, making dining an enjoyable experience for which I am truly grateful.

    We stayed at the accommodation to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. We were completely satisfied with the service, room, bath, and meals from the moment we arrived.     It was a gift trip for my elderly parents.

    It was a very lovely hotel. The view was amazing, and the staff were very polite, making for a pleasant stay. Thank you. The room and the large public bath were well-equipped with easy-to-use towels and amenities, and everything was impeccably clean. We also appreciated the pick-up and drop-off service from the station, where we felt thoughtful care even in the driving. I would love to visit this hotel again.

    Highly recommended.

    The staff's hospitality was excellent. Upon driving into the premises, they greeted us with smiles at the entrance. The hotel demonstrated high-level hospitality with flexible dinner time adjustments, after-dinner drink options, and lounge drink services. The Facility was beautiful, resembling an Okinawan Resort Hotel. Dinner included dishes like Ezo abalone risotto and roasted beef, leaving us fully satisfied.

    Spa & Resort

    The spa is something I always visit at any accommodation, but it didn’t feel like a spa worthy of being part of the hotel’s name. However, the staff at the esthetic salon were very attentive. Since it was a multiple night stay, we chose special Japanese cuisine on the first night and special Italian cuisine on the second night. Honestly, both meals made us question if they were truly "special." They felt below average compared to regular meals at other places. Breakfast was almost identical both mornings despite our multiple night stay. As meals are an important part of travel enjoyment, improvements in this area would be appreciated. Due to issues with the large public bath's plumbing, it was unavailable for use; however, we were informed that we could use the infinity open-air bath instead. Unfortunately, upon entering the public bath area itself, it felt cold right away. The infinity open-air bath had waves caused by strong winds and looked intimidating just from sight alone. Despite staying for multiple nights and looking forward to enjoying this feature, we couldn’t enjoy it at all. If we hadn’t booked a room with its own open-air bath attached, we might have left immediately. Even during a multiple-night stay, ensuring proper replenishment after cleaning would be appreciated as well as thorough checks afterward.
