    The bath is wonderful.

    The bath was wonderful. The temperature was perfect, and I stayed in right up until check-out. I also drank plenty of water, so it was very helpful that I could receive extra mineral water. I saw the sign for the lounge happy hour and stopped by around the time it seemed to have started, but I was told, “Not yet.” When I said, “It says from 5:00…,” they seemed to realize there had been a misunderstanding. The food was tasty, but fairly average. Breakfast was a Western-style plate as well. Since I love Japanese cuisine, it would be nice if guests could choose either option. I also wished both meals were just a little more filling. (At this price point, perhaps it’s not fair to expect too much.) The view from the Room was amazing, but at night the window stains (possibly condensation marks?) were noticeable, which was a bit disappointing. It was also disappointing that BS channels were not available. I’ve been to Shirahama before, but since I don’t drive, whether Shuttle Service is available is a major deciding factor for me. Here, they kindly drove me after check-out to key spots other than the station as well, which was truly appreciated. Thanks to that, I could finally stop by Toretore Market for the first time. Next time, I’d like to choose Japanese cuisine. Thank you for your hospitality.

    The large public bath and the Italian dinner were great. Next time, I plan to choose an ocean-side Room even if it costs a bit more.

    Wonderful Hotel

    From the Room balcony, we had a panoramic view of Shirahama Beach, the ocean, and the town—an unbeatable location. The Room was spacious and truly relaxing. The Hotel itself was lovely, and having a nice smoking room was a real plus for smokers. In the evening, we enjoyed delicious cocktails at the bar counter, and with live piano music it made for a wonderfully comfortable time. The view from the large public bath was also amazing—you can look down over the sea, and the ocean breeze felt incredibly refreshing. Dinner was an Italian course meal and everything was delicious. The breakfast buffet was great too, with both Japanese and Western options. The Hotel also has a pool and a gym, and it’s close to Shirahama World Safari and golf courses—perfect for families with children as well as golf lovers. It was such a wonderful Hotel that we’ll definitely want to visit again.

    Everything was comfortable.

    We are a couple aged 80 and 70. It was pouring rain when we arrived, but the staff came out to greet us at the door, and our luggage had already been carried to our Room. We were truly touched by their thoughtfulness—this Hotel offers outstanding hospitality. All the staff we met in the hallways greeted us as well, and we received such warm service that feels rare these days. This Hotel is perfect for anyone seeking quiet relaxation. We have stayed at Hotels in Shirahama many times, but this one was especially wonderful. Since it is located on a hill, getting to the beach may take some effort, but there is also a pool. When we stay overnight in Shirahama again, we would love to stay here.

    A magnificent view, free-flowing Onsen, and an excellent large public bath.

    The views from this Hotel on a hilltop on a clear day are breathtakingly beautiful. Being able to enjoy the spectacular scenery while soaking in the open-air bath feels like pure bliss. The Subaru feature in the center of the large public bath is also fantastical, and its impressive level of craftsmanship is something you rarely experience elsewhere. The Room’s open-air bath is also free-flowing and very relaxing. It was a bit smaller than expected, but I was highly satisfied because it offers the same wonderful views as the open-air bath in the large public bath. Dinner Japanese cuisine was decent, but the Western-style breakfast set was very delicious. Overall, the service was at a satisfying level as well. Wakayama is a bit far, but this well-designed Resort Hotel offers excellent value for money and is one I would gladly revisit if I have the chance.

    Enjoy the full resort experience

    The views from the Room and the open-air bath were outstanding. We had a Western-style course dinner, and each dish was beautifully presented, making it a pleasure to enjoy visually as well. It was disappointing that we couldn’t use the open-air bath in the morning due to strong winds, and that BS channels weren’t available, but we were still able to fully enjoy the resort atmosphere.

    A Hotel Where You Can Relax in the Spa and Open-Air Bath

    The views from the lounge and the two spas (Subaru and Umi) were wonderful! The open-air bath in the Room was also clean and spacious, and very relaxing. The welcome drink was delicious, too. I was also happy that the in-room snacks included “Kagero” and pickled plums, and that the complimentary soft drinks in the refrigerator included sparkling water and straight mandarin orange juice. For dinner, you had properly noted what I told you in advance, so I could dine with peace of mind. For breakfast, there was only one option—a Western-style one-plate meal—but it was tasty. When I contacted you because Wi-Fi wouldn’t connect, I really appreciated that the front desk staff came to my Room to check it properly. Since there was no explanation about Wi-Fi from the staff member who showed me to my Room, I wondered if it might be better to confirm it while explaining it as well—so it would serve as a double-check. Both the phone support before my visit and the front desk service were very courteous, and your flexible response regarding Shuttle Service was extremely helpful. My family also liked this Hotel and said they would like to come again.

    An Accommodation with a Stunning Ocean View

    We were able to fully enjoy the ocean view and relax very comfortably. The view from the Sky Bath was also wonderful. Dinner was Japanese cuisine, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. We would love to visit again if we have the opportunity.

    Enjoy breathtaking views of Shirahama.

    The open-air bath and the breathtaking panoramic ocean views from the Room are simply outstanding! Because it is located on a hill, you won’t hear the sound of the waves, but it offers a wonderful setting with views of the sea, mountains, and sky. The bath in particular was exceptional. It’s a Hotel I would love to visit again and again just for that. Breakfast was also beautifully prepared dish by dish, and delicious enough to make mornings feel truly pleasant. Please note: as this Hotel has many stairs, guests with limited mobility may want to check in advance.

    The Onsen is wonderful.

    The Onsen was excellent, with free-flowing hot spring water. The building and garden were well maintained and very clean. 　However, there was little soundproofing between the bedroom and the washroom/toilet, so noise could be heard. 　The meals for both breakfast and dinner were somewhat disappointing in both quality and quantity.

    I stayed at the accommodation during New Year's. Unfortunately, due to strong winds that day, I couldn't enjoy the open-air bath (though weather can't be helped). For dinner, I was hoping for Japanese cuisine, but it was fully booked, so I had Italian instead. However, everything was delicious and very satisfying. The only disappointment was that perhaps because it was fully booked for New Year's, breakfast operated on a 45-minute rotation system. I would have liked to enjoy my meal more leisurely. Since traveling is meant for relaxation, this aspect was a bit unfortunate. Other than that, I had a relaxing stay. Thank you very much!

    A hotel that is trying hard but falls short in some areas.

    The stay was as described in the title. The location is excellent, and the view is amazing. The reception staff were impeccable. However, the facility was disappointing. To get from the front floor to guest rooms or to the restaurant, you must go through stairs, which is far from being barrier-free. Additionally, the service at the restaurant and lounge was quite disappointing for a hotel of this price range. The lack of attentiveness was striking and left much to be desired.

    Truly wonderful

    I booked a two-night stay with meals, and I was promptly contacted to ask if I would like to change the second day's meal from Italian to Japanese cuisine. The change was made, and both meals were absolutely delicious. The "Buri Shabu" in particular was exceptional. All the staff were kind, and both the room and the bath were excellent. At checkout, I was given a bottle of mineral water, which touched me with its thoughtful service. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

    The meals and the bath were excellent.

    The lady who served our meal noticed it was a birthday Onsen trip and kindly rushed to the main building to prepare a dessert plate with "Happy Birthday" written on it. It was such a thoughtful gesture, especially since it's been years since our family celebrated birthdays like this. Thank you so much for going out of your way, even running up and down the stairs—it truly touched us. The fish was fresh, every dish was delicious, and the local sake set paired perfectly with the meal. The bath offered an extraordinary experience, as if floating in the sky, bringing us closer to the night stars. Despite the cold season, we felt thoroughly warmed and relaxed thanks to excellent preparations. Thank you for everything; we would love to visit again!

    Dim lighting

    Thank you for the wonderful experience. The attentive service and cleanliness made for a very comfortable stay. The guest room featured dim indirect lighting, but the warm-toned, soft glow provided a relaxing atmosphere for both body and mind. However, there were moments when I wished for brighter lighting due to my age, so it might have been helpful to check if additional lighting could be requested. At night, I was fortunate to enjoy the Onsen in a private setting under dim starlight, which allowed me to meditate and deepen my relaxation. In the morning Onsen, I bathed while admiring the sunrise over the horizon—a breathtaking view unique to an accommodation situated on an elevated location.

    The service was excellent.

    The welcome and service were excellent. The atmosphere of the Hotel was clean and lovely. The meals were exceptionally delicious. One minor inconvenience was the lack of a place to hang towels by the sink. Also, the bath temperature was slightly lukewarm at first, and the next day it was a bit too hot. However, overall it was very good, and I would love to visit again.

    The staff's service attitude was bright and courteous, which pleasantly surprised me. The sunset viewed while enjoying the Onsen was exceptional, and I would like to make this my regular accommodation. I originally intended to mention this during checkout but forgot, so I wanted to inform you that the TV screen has a significant issue—it works fine for the first 5 minutes but gradually turns white and becomes unviewable. Please inspect it. It’s Room 16 on the second floor.

    My husband turned 60, and when I asked him where he would like to go for a commemorative trip, he said he wanted to visit this Hotel that was featured on a travel program. This was our first visit, and we are truly grateful for the relaxing time, delicious meals, and pleasant moments that exceeded our expectations. The Hotel staff were all very friendly and attentive, making us feel so glad we chose to come here. The scenery was stunning, the amenities and cuisine were impeccable, and the atmosphere of the Hotel was perfect. It became a truly wonderful two-day stay for us.

    Enjoy breathtaking views of Shirahama from above and warm hospitality from our staff.

    Nanki Shirahama is often associated with accommodations near the sea, but I was immediately drawn to this place by the photos of the bath. Upon closer inspection, it’s actually located on a hill far from the sea. However, if your goal isn’t swimming in the ocean (though that’s fine too), this is a perfect spot for a more mature and relaxed stay—highly recommended for two nights. Flying in from Tokyo on Friday night and staying through Saturday would be ideal. The Onsen setup is exceptional. You can lie down while gazing at the sea and sky as water flows over the edge of the Onsen with a gentle slope, allowing your arms to soak while you take in nature's beauty—pure luxury. Spend nearly an hour in the evening watching the sunset, observing hotel lights begin to glow as you marvel at the horizon's curve—it deepens your connection with nature. It feels like meditative bathing ("Nyuyoku Zen"). For some reason, men have access to a smaller bath area during evenings; meanwhile, women enjoy larger spaces plus central baths only available early mornings for men. Perhaps combining central baths with smaller ones for men and reserving larger seaside baths exclusively could balance things out—it seems women are quite fortunate here! The room has an unexpectedly traditional Japanese style but remains very comfortable. In terms of amenities: natural water from Hita wasn’t accessible during evening hours (a minor frustration due to unclear instructions about one-push operation). Settling instead for juice at reception was fine until learning how simple it was next morning after asking female guests! Clearer usage guidance would help avoid such moments. Meals were outstanding both morning & evening—the service impeccable—and Italian-inspired dishes made excellent use of high-quality ingredients! Unfortunately missed enjoying their beautiful pool due only staying briefly overnight. There’s live piano music within their bar lounge; next visit plans include finishing dinner earlier so cocktails or sampling 12 varieties plum wine alongside nighttime views become part relaxing experience! Overall impression? A sophisticated retreat catering adults seeking tranquility where peaceful stays encouraged among fellow guests alike!
