    Looking for accommodation where dogs are welcome.

    When visiting the neighboring town from Tokyo, make sure to stop by here. The amenities, facilities, meals, and comfort of the room are exceptional, but the most remarkable feature is the hospitality of the staff. This time was a short one-night trip mainly for a visit to a grave, so I couldn't relax much. However, next time I would love to come back with the purpose of spending a leisurely stay here.

    Buffet meals are mediocre.

    The hotel was lovely, but the Onsen was lukewarm and not to my liking, which was disappointing. The most disappointing part was the buffet-style meals for breakfast and dinner. Perhaps because they were pre-prepared, the taste was mediocre. Some items like sushi, rice balls, and steak were freshly made on-site, but the sushi toppings were comparable to those at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. The hotel's facilities were excellent and comfortable.

    The meals are excellent!

    The breakfast and dinner buffets were incredibly delicious. The customizable seafood bowl for breakfast was especially outstanding.

    It was a wonderful accommodation that contributed to disaster relief efforts during the Great East Japan Earthquake.

    This trip was a journey to visit the remnants of the Great East Japan Earthquake. Since we have a pet, we searched for pet-friendly accommodation and chose this place. In fact, Jodogahama Park Hotel, where we stayed, experienced the Great East Japan Earthquake while hosting many guests. I heard that the hotel staff provided exceptional support to their guests during that time. Later, this accommodation was opened as a lodging place for Self-Defense Force members and played an active role as a base for earthquake recovery efforts. During our stay, we were impressed by their pet-first hospitality and captivated by the scenic beach view just a 10-minute walk from Jodogahama.

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

    A journey on the Sanriku Railway is a must-visit, and while I was initially concerned about choosing a Hotel, everything from the scenery to the Room and meals was exceptional. The food, in particular, offered a taste of local flavors, with each dish being delicious and satisfying. This Hotel has made it onto my list of places I want to visit again.

    Dog-friendly

    We had a very enjoyable stay at the accommodation. Although we brought two dogs but only informed about one, the staff handled it without any complaints. The dining staff's service was also excellent. However, there were quite a few hairs floating in the open-air bath, which was unpleasant.

    It was good.

    Stayed in a pet-friendly room! The room was excellent, but the public bath was disappointing. The outdoor bath had floating debris or scum, which was quite surprising. Also, it was unfortunate that there was no sauna. There were yukatas for pets, but when I tried them on my pet, the Velcro seemed worn out and didn’t stick properly. It might be better to check these before lending them out. The buffet meals were delicious, but the all-you-can-drink alcohol varied greatly depending on who prepared it—sometimes too strong and sometimes too weak.

    Beautiful scenery

    This was my first visit to Jodogahama. The Room had a great view of the ocean from the corner, offering a stunning landscape. Before dinner, I took a walk down to Jodogahama. Among the trees, I could hear warblers singing, which made me feel relaxed. One of the purposes of this trip was to see the recovery from the earthquake disaster. At the beach rest house, there were photos showing the height of the tsunami and damage at that time. It reminded me how challenging it must have been and how wonderful it is that everything has been beautifully restored. For dinner, I enjoyed a variety of buffet dishes. Among them, freshly made sushi stood out—I even got seconds on my favorite whelk sushi! The ice cream was also incredibly delicious! It turned out to be a wonderful trip!

    A view you'll want to return for, delicious meals, and friendly staff.

    The view overlooking Jodogahama was as stunning as my friend had described. + Free round-trip taxi service to and from Miyako Station. Despite the unexpected suspension of the Hachinohe Line, which required a bus transfer to Kuji and caused a delay in arriving at Miyako Station, the Hotel's response over the phone and the welcoming attitude of the driver eased my travel stress. + The staff at reception and in the dining area were very kind and created a homely atmosphere. + The buffet meals offered a wide variety of delicious local dishes, which made me enjoy some drinks more than I expected. In the evening, skilled chefs prepared sushi to order, while in the morning, ladies made rice balls for guests. The scenic view of broadleaf trees on my way back from Miyako to Morioka was also breathtaking—I’d love to visit again during autumn foliage season. Thank you for your hospitality!

    The view was absolutely stunning.

    We chose this accommodation as part of our plan to ride the "Sanriku Railway" using the Kyunpass. We exchanged several emails beforehand, and their prompt and accurate responses heightened our expectations even before our visit. As expected, it was a wonderful accommodation. From the room, we had a great view of Jodogahama, and although there was a slight slope, it was within walking distance. Despite having limited time during our trip, we were glad to see Jodogahama. The meals were also very satisfying. We enjoyed the winter-exclusive "Grilled Abalone, Scallops & Oysters Fisherman Style" buffet at a reasonable price. The room and the entire accommodation were spacious and exceptionally clean—so much so that we wondered if this price was really correct! I strongly hope to visit again for a longer stay next time... I’ve already recommended it to my friends. Thank you for your hospitality!

    It was a satisfying trip!

    Jodogahama Park Hotel has long been regarded as a luxury hotel along the coast. While I had visited several times for work-related events, this was my first time enjoying the buffet dinner as an individual guest, so I was very excited. Despite the cold day with sleet falling, the hotel provided a comfortable stay. The room was my first experience in a Japanese-Western style room. It was conveniently located near the restaurant and large public bath, making it one of the best spots. The room itself was spacious and allowed for a relaxing stay. The large public bath featured an artificial Onsen with just the right temperature, offering a soothing experience. The amenities included a horse oil set of three items, which I personally appreciated. For dinner, I started by exploring all that the buffet had to offer. In an elegantly dim-lit venue with an adult atmosphere and no significant crowding, I could check out every dish available. There was also a live kitchen where steak and sushi were freshly prepared on-site. With plenty of seafood from Sanriku on display looking deliciously tempting, it was hard to choose what to try first! Ultimately, I focused on sashimi, sushi, seaweed dishes—and they were all fantastic! The uni rice and ichigo-ni soup were delightful surprises too. As expected from its reputation, even the beef stew tasted amazing. For dessert lovers like me, there were many ice cream flavors in small portions so you could enjoy multiple tastes—an incredibly satisfying dinner buffet overall. The breakfast buffet required some waiting due to full seating but offered enjoyable options like seafood bowls (kaisendon), rice balls (onigiri), and ochazuke (rice in tea). Desserts stood out again with their variety of fresh fruits—I couldn’t resist going back for seconds! However popular croissants seemed scarce as they quickly ran out. Throughout my stay at this Hotel—including interactions with international staff members at restaurants—the service remained attentive ensuring pleasant experiences throughout. When visiting Sanriku again someday soon—I’d love returning here; perhaps next time opting instead towards trying their sushi kaiseki course during dinner choices available!

    Wonderful Hotel

    I stayed at this hotel using Kyunpass. The room was a lovely Japanese-style bed room with a view of the ocean. The dinner buffet included oysters, abalone, and scallops in the plan, offering a true taste of Sanriku, and everything was absolutely delicious. The onsen temperature was just right and very relaxing. Having stayed at various onsens before, this one left me completely satisfied and made me want to visit again for sure!

    Baby-friendly Stays

    I stayed with my grandchildren. Cushions were placed on the four corners of the room's table to prevent injury, a diaper bin was provided, baby food was available at the dining venue, and there were baby-friendly shampoo and soap in the bath. It was a property incredibly accommodating to babies. I was also impressed by the deliciousness of the meals. The sushi made on the spot, beef stew, steak, and strawberry stew at night were delicious. In the morning, I also had salmon roe rice balls made on the spot. The view of Jodogahama from the hotel was breathtaking. The stars in the night sky seemed within reach. Thank you for the affordable stay.

    It was a very comfor...

    It was a very comfortable stay, thank you. The spacious Room with a great view from the window allowed us to relax, and the meals exceeded our expectations. The staff's service was excellent, and this Property might become one of the reasons to visit the Sanriku Coast again.

    Ideal for sightseeing at Jodogahama

    In the midst of the autumn travel season, the accommodation fees were accordingly priced, but since Jodogahama was the main attraction of our trip, we chose to stay at this hotel. The deciding factor was that Jodogahama was right there, and it was a well-known, long-established hotel. As a result, the location, facilities, and meals were satisfactory. The first impression was slightly uneasy due to the familiar front desk service often found in famous hotels and long-established ryokans. Although the service was efficient and businesslike throughout, it did not relieve our fatigue. However, the view from the front desk was a wonderful sight that helped alleviate such fatigue. Our room was on the mountain side, but we could also see the sea through the pine forest. The spacious Japanese-style room was relaxing. I felt that a futon in a Japanese-style room is nice once in a while. The shared bath had both an indoor bath and an open-air bath, and we could enjoy various water temperatures. The dinner buffet exceeded expectations. The best part was the service where a veteran sushi chef made nigiri sushi on the spot. Freshly made sushi tasted even more delicious. The beef steak was also tender and flavorful. I would have preferred if they avoided pairing it with chicken, but it couldn't be helped. There were also Western dishes like beef stew, which was very satisfying. It took about 15 minutes to walk down the cliff path to Jodogahama. Along the way, there was a sign warning of bear sightings, so we played music on our smartphones as we walked. Seeing Jodogahama in person was indeed impressive. We visited twice, in the evening and morning, which is something only possible because of staying at this hotel. The memories of Jodogahama became more memorable thanks to staying at this hotel. Even if it feels a bit overpriced, I recommend staying at this hotel while enjoying Jodogahama.

    You will be impressed by the unique cuisine that can only be experienced here.

    I was energized by the beautiful scenery of Jodogahama and the taste of each carefully prepared dish that always leaves you fully satisfied. My mother also enjoyed the delicious blessings of Sanriku for the first time in a while and ate a lot with joy. The room was spacious, and we slept soundly on the futon. The seafood bowl for breakfast was filled with our favorite items, leaving us very full. The mushroom cream soup is also exquisite. It is a property that makes you want to visit again.

    The reception is terrible. The foreign staff are working a thousand times harder and were more polite. If you keep saying it's because it's in the countryside, the Hotel will go out of business.

    There was no need to...

    There was no need to wait in line for check-in; instead, there was guidance to sofas and coffee. The Room was clean, and the meals were plentiful, with freshly cooked steak provided, which was satisfying. The futon was neatly laid out, allowing for a comfortable sleep. Is this price really okay? It was a satisfying Hotel.

    I stayed at the best Hotel in Jodogahama. It was very spacious, easily accessible, and the view was fantastic. The design made luxurious use of space, providing an unparalleled sense of relaxation. I would like to visit again. Thank you in advance for that time.

    I was very satisfied.

    I used the Plan for a solo trip. Thank you very much for allowing me to spend my time very comfortably. The view from the Room was breathtaking. It was more beautiful than I imagined. The meals were also very delicious! (Especially the freshly made sushi was exquisite.) Since it was a stay in the flow of the Michinoku Shiokaze Trail, it would have been even better if there was information about it within the Hotel. I will visit again!

    A perfect view like looking at a painting!

    The view from the top floor ocean-side Japanese-style Room was truly wonderful. Not only Jodogahama, but also the moonrise and sunrise were impressive! The Room was spacious (though the toilet was small), well-cleaned, and the bedding was clean, allowing for a comfortable stay. The female staff in charge of the Room were cheerful and seemed to enjoy their work, while I thought it would be great if the male staff at the front desk and welcoming had a bit more hospitality.
