    Simply the best.

    We stayed here as a couple to celebrate a birthday. From the meals and baths to the Room amenities and Shuttle Service, everything was filled with hospitality, and they were flexible in accommodating our requests, making our stay truly enjoyable and happy. Some Accommodations offer inclusive bar drinks or well-equipped Rooms, but this place is on another level—we were able to enjoy an extraordinary sense of luxury. We would definitely love to visit again. Thank you very much!

    Even though this is my 8th or 9th stay...

    It goes without saying that we absolutely love this Accommodation and fully intend to keep staying here in the future. And because we love it so much, we’ve visited 8 or 9 times over the past few years (I’m sure there are many guests who have stayed even more, though), and we’ve even stayed here on New Year’s Eve with my family. Including that time, a male staff member who has served us at dinner many times since our early visits asked us during this dinner, “(as if it were our first visit) How did you find out about our Accommodation?” I was confused and honestly quite sad. Maybe we just don’t stand out… I understand that to the staff we’re just one party among many guests, and of course you can’t be expected to remember everyone. I’m completely fine even if you don’t remember us—but I do feel that it would be better to check at least a little information in advance about the guests you’ll be serving. Also, he told exactly the same story in exactly the same way two days in a row (about rice being grown around here and being able to see fireflies), which actually made me worry that he might be very tired. Also, after returning home I realized we didn’t receive the Diamond benefit gift at checkout this time. With prices rising these days, it’s totally fine if there isn’t one—but were the two cans of alcohol in the paper bag left in our Room meant to be that? If so, neither my husband nor I can drink alcohol, so we couldn’t make use of it and it felt a bit unfair. I ended up writing at length because this service experience was a bit shocking for me, but everything else was truly wonderful, and all of your staff are always very kind to us. We would like to continue visiting in the future.

    The meals are getting more and more delicious.

    This was our eighth stay. Ever since our first visit, the Room, the private bath, and the surroundings of the Hotel have been very comfortable, and the meals are delicious. We stay about once a year, and it has become something my wife and I truly look forward to. This time as well, the food was excellent—especially the Chateaubriand, which was outstanding. Although it was rainy and we didn’t go to Mount Koya this time, we were able to see exceptionally beautiful flowering peach trees and weeping cherry blossoms around Sanso Amanosato.

    A Luxurious One-Night Stay to Relax and Unwind

    I stayed here at the end of the year as a reward for myself after a year of hard work. Prices were rising everywhere, but I was grateful that I could make a Reservation through IKYU at a great rate—about the usual weekend price. The food looked surprising and was absolutely delicious. I don’t usually drink much, but when I asked for something “sweet and easy to drink,” the bartender made cocktails that were the best I’ve ever had. There were plenty of drinks in the Room as well, but since I can’t drink that much, I would have preferred some snacks or light bites instead.

    We stayed in two Roo...

    We stayed in two Rooms with my daughter and her husband. Since snow was forecast, we requested the Shuttle Service down to the base just in case. After checkout, they also kindly provided a Shuttle Service for my daughter and her husband to go for their first shrine visit of the year. We’re always grateful for how willingly they help with so many things! The cocktails in the lounge are always left up to them, and as always, they were delicious! The meals—just as ever—were outstanding in both flavor and presentation. We were completely satisfied! The staff’s hospitality is perfectly balanced—not too close, not too distant—and it makes the stay very comfortable. This is an Accommodation that always makes us think, “We want to come back!”

    This is a return visit. The Room, cuisine, and bath are all excellent. Above all, the hospitality of the staff is outstanding. Although I haven't experienced stargazing yet due to unfavorable weather, I definitely want to try again.

    This was an accommod...

    This was an accommodation I had always wanted to visit. My long-awaited wish finally came true, and I was able to go. The room, private bath, meals—everything was absolutely satisfying during the two days. There were plenty of alcohol options before dinner, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Even in the room, we could see beautiful stars from the balcony and spent a truly luxurious time. Next time, I would like to visit again in a different season. Thank you for your hospitality!

    It is a very wonderful Hotel.

    Stayed here on the way back from Mount Koya. The price is indeed high, but everything from the staff's hospitality and service to the hotel's atmosphere, room size, and amenities was excellent. It provided a satisfaction that exceeded its cost. I would definitely like to visit again.

    It exceeded my expectations.

    We stayed for one night on our way back from seeing the autumn leaves in Koyasan. I had heard about this auberge before, created under the initiative of the wife of the president of a globally renowned Wakayama knitting machine company known for its unique technology. It seems to be a resort that rivals world-class resorts and fine dining experiences, brought to life in this local area. The property features eight bungalows with striking pointed roofs nestled in the tranquil countryside of Amanosato. Although it is a rural mountain lodge, each guest room is equipped with modern facilities, including comfortable underfloor heating. The dinner was an elaborate hybrid of French and Japanese cuisine made with carefully selected ingredients, which we thoroughly enjoyed along with wine we were allowed to bring ourselves. Unfortunately, I drank too much and ended up leaving much of my Japanese breakfast uneaten the next morning—something I regret and will be mindful of next time. It was drizzling on that day, so we weren’t blessed with good weather. Next time, I’d like to visit during a more pleasant season and explore the surrounding area further.

    I was very satisfied.

    This was my first visit. In a quiet and beautiful village, there was a wonderful accommodation where I could relax completely. The meals were satisfying until the very end. Each dish was carefully prepared, never boring, and the portions were just right. The autumn leaves were also beautiful, making it a great trip. I would love to stay here again.

    The meals were satisfying.

    I stayed here during my visit to Koyasan. The stylish building is located amidst peaceful rice fields. The lobby, with its large fireplace, is very charming. However, since the bathroom in the room was not an Onsen, I used one of the three family baths instead. All the baths were great, but it was inconvenient that there were only thin pajamas provided in the room and no loungewear or bathrobes available. After warming up and sweating, I had to change into a dress, which felt uncomfortable. The bathroom in the room also had glass walls all around, making it awkward without a bathrobe for privacy. The bar offered free drinks of any kind but changing into proper clothes felt like too much effort so I skipped it. Nowadays many accommodations provide stylish loungewear like samue (traditional Japanese workwear), so it's puzzling that such a well-equipped place doesn't offer this. The meals were outstanding—delicious as if dining at a high-end restaurant in Ginza! The staff's attentiveness made me feel very comfortable throughout my stay. It’s truly a wonderful hotel; however, having proper loungewear would have made my experience even more relaxing and enjoyable—it’s unfortunate this aspect fell short!

    Relax and enjoy a delightful accommodation.

    This was my first visit. I had always wanted to stay at this accommodation and finally got the chance when I found a high point rate discount. We stayed at Amanosato with a group of six, including two elderly members. Dinner was served in a private room, and we were very satisfied with both the taste and portion size. The staff's attentiveness and service were excellent. Since it was during the hot summer season, we couldn't spend much time outside, but instead, we fully enjoyed relaxing inside the facility. Next time, I would love to visit during a more pleasant season to explore the surroundings.

    I had a relaxing stay again this time. The food is always delicious, and this time there was even late-night ramen. I always enjoy using the lounge at my leisure.     Visiting My Father's Hometown

    I stayed at the accommodation during my visit to Katsuragi Town, located at the foot of Mount Koya, my father's hometown. The room was spacious, with large windows offering a view of the lush natural scenery, allowing me to relax completely. The private bath in the room was exceptional, especially while watching the sunrise. The meals were creatively prepared using locally sourced ingredients and were absolutely delicious. I am grateful for the thoughtful services such as transportation to Okunoin Temple in Mount Koya and Hashimoto Station. Every staff member provided attentive and courteous service, making my stay truly enjoyable. I would love to stay here again when I visit Mount Koya next time. Thank you very much!

    I visited during my trip to Koyasan. The service, room, and cuisine were all excellent. The food, in particular, was creatively prepared using delicious local ingredients, offering a delightful experience for the palate, eyes, and heart. Here are some other highlights: - The room was spacious, clean, well-equipped, and very comfortable. - There were three private baths available for eight guest rooms. This avoided common issues like always being occupied or requiring prior reservations (availability can be checked via the tablet in the room). - The welcome drinks included a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options to choose from—fun and delicious! - Both the free drinks in the room and at the private baths were impressively abundant compared to most places. - Women's amenities in the room featured BA products! - The bar lounge was well-stocked and enjoyable. - Leftover ginger rice from dinner (a perfect touch for rice lovers like us after French cuisine) was made into onigiri as a late-night snack for us. - All staff members were pleasant and ensured there were no unpleasant experiences throughout our stay. The surroundings consist of fields and mountains with nothing else around—but it allowed us to truly relax amidst this peaceful simplicity.

    Amanosato

    This was my first time staying here. Honestly, when I made the Reservation online, I didn’t have high expectations. But when I actually visited, I was deeply moved. As we passed through the tunnel from Koyasan to the Hotel, the stunning rural scenery and sense of openness amazed me and woke me up instantly. When I got out of the car to take a photo, there it was—the Hotel right in front of me! From that moment on, it felt like one wonderful surprise after another. First, there was a welcome drink event—was it a champagne festival? We could relax in the garden and enjoy as much as we wanted while taking in the beautiful view—it felt so luxurious. The Room was spotless and very clean. The private Onsen outside our Room—there were three of them—was an incredible experience too! The staff were extremely polite and gave off such a reassuring sense of professionalism with their expertise. And then came the meal we had been looking forward to... Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented! It seemed they used local ingredients with great care. The rice had such sweetness that I wanted seconds—but my stomach couldn’t handle more because everything else had been so satisfying! It’s been ages since I've enjoyed every bite until the very end like this—it was truly delightful. This has become one of my absolute favorite Hotels—I can’t think of anything more to ask for! I will definitely come back again someday. Thank you all for giving us such a happy holiday!

    It was a relaxing experience.

    I visited here for sightseeing in Koyasan. I chose this accommodation because I thought staying at a temple lodging might be a bit formal. The shuttle service to Koyasan was very convenient. The private bath was relaxing, and the room was very comfortable. The room I stayed in had two toilets, which was helpful. Amenities were well-prepared, so it seemed possible to stay almost empty-handed. I also thoroughly enjoyed the meals. It was a healing trip where I could spend wonderful moments.     Surrounded only by nature, this is a wonderful accommodation.

    After my first visit to Koyasan, I was picked up in front of Okunoin in Koyasan. There are several bus stops with "Okunoin" in their names on the Koyasan Bus route, which caused a bit of confusion. I confirmed the location by phone just to be sure. It might be helpful to provide more detailed information about the pick-up location for first-time visitors. I was hoping to see fireflies, but it wasn’t the right season. The Champagne Garden started in the garden was also too hot for me to enjoy. Nearby is Niutsuhime Shrine, but there aren’t many other tourist spots around. The area is surrounded by beautiful fields and rice paddies; I rented an electric bicycle and enjoyed cycling. However, every dish served during meals was absolutely exquisite! Personally, I wish I could have had more soba noodles! The private bath came equipped with drinks and towels so you can enter without carrying anything extra. There’s a wide variety of drinks available as well. The quality of the hot spring water seemed excellent—I felt much better physically the next morning. In the lounge, I enjoyed complimentary beer while admiring views of the garden (note: beer at dinner in the restaurant is charged). You can experience "the luxury of doing nothing" here—if only there were a Blu-ray Disc player available, it would have been perfect for me! Unfortunately, I fell ill just before my stay and ended up borrowing various amenities from them—they were incredibly helpful and accommodating during this time. I deeply appreciate their warm hospitality and will definitely return for another relaxing visit soon! Thank you also for providing transportation back—it made returning via Hashimoto Station very convenient!

    The food was absolutely fantastic.

    I chose Ten no Sato for my first trip alone with my mother. I love the rural scenery in that area and have passed through it every summer for about 10 years, always wanting to stay at this accommodation someday. Although I wanted to stay in the best room, it was already reserved even a month prior, so we stayed in a moderate room. However, the room felt more spacious than expected, and I was very satisfied with it. The hospitality of being shown directly to our room without check-in was also wonderful. As someone who is usually busy with work, childcare, and housework, I chose this accommodation to relax and do nothing but unwind—and that goal was achieved. The dinner was absolutely amazing; not only visually delightful but also meticulously prepared and incredibly delicious. Even my mother, who usually has a small appetite, finished everything on her plate. For me personally, the meal was indescribably wonderful—I would love to eat it again. For breakfast, we opted for Western-style dishes. Since I love omelets so much, next time I'd like to request an omelet if possible—it would make me very happy if such requests are accommodated! My mother ordered tea for breakfast but received coffee by mistake; however, when we informed the staff about this mix-up, they promptly replaced it with tea without any fuss. The staff seemed calm and genuinely enjoying their work. One issue we encountered involved the private onsen facilities where drinks were freely available—while we appreciated having water provided in bottles there as we're big water drinkers—the aluminum caps were extremely difficult to open despite applying significant force (to the point of almost cutting our hands). This could be improved upon for future guests' convenience—apologies if this feedback sounds too direct! Returning back though: Ten no Sato offers an extraordinary escape from daily life paired alongside truly exceptional cuisine which left such lasting impressions on me personally! While I'd love returning here again soon either together alongside family members including Mom herself—or perhaps even solo trips ahead—it feels perfect rewarding oneself amidst tranquil surroundings after all hard efforts put forth daily basis overall!     It was great.

    Although we were a bit flustered before check-in, we were warmly welcomed. The service, onsen, room, and facility were all excellent. We especially looked forward to dinner, and every dish exceeded our expectations in taste—absolutely satisfying! Among them, the Kumano beef Chateaubriand was exceptionally delicious! One small suggestion would be to serve the pairing drinks at the table for an even better experience (though I understand this might be due to fixed portions). We chose Western-style breakfast, which was also delightful. After dinner, we enjoyed watching fireflies—a wonderful memory. It was such a great accommodation that made us want to visit again.     7th stay.

    It has been exactly one year since our last stay at this accommodation. It has become a family tradition for us to enjoy sesame tofu in Koyasan, stroll around Okunoin and Kongobuji Temple, and then check in. Every time we stay here, my wife and I talk about how this hotel seems to improve with each visit compared to the last. This time: ① Valet service was provided both during check-in and check-out. ② Upon arrival, about 10 staff members greeted us warmly with smiles. ③ Despite the current times, the in-room drinks were not lacking (wonderful). ④ Fresh fruits were placed in our room. ⑤ The meals have leveled up... They were already excellent before but now even more creative, offering visual and flavorful enjoyment. As always during our stays here, we enjoyed strolling around the hotel surroundings, relaxing at the bar lounge, using all three private baths, and unwinding in our room surrounded by greenery. Thank you very much once again. We look forward to staying with you again!

    I want to visit again soon.

    I was hesitant at first, thinking it might not feel like a getaway since it's close to home. However, starting with the champagne garden, the private bath, and most importantly, the incredibly delicious meals made me want to return right away. The wide variety of alcohol is also a treat for those who love drinks! I usually don't revisit accommodations often, but this is one I can't wait to go back to.

    This was our second ...

    This was our second stay. Last time, it was just my spouse and me. This time, we stayed as a family of three with our daughter, and the suite room was lovely and very comfortable. We also appreciated the welcome drink service on the terrace. Since I had been looking forward to using the bar counter this time, we enjoyed refills there. The conversation with the staff while having drinks was very enjoyable. Thank you to all the staff for your warm hospitality. We truly appreciate it!

    From the deck of our room, we enjoyed the fully bloomed cherry blossoms and birdsong, spending a pleasant and relaxing time. The room had high ceilings that provided a sense of openness, and with floor heating, it was very comfortable. Nearby, there were many blooming peach blossoms, and we appreciated being able to explore casually using rental bicycles. However, one incident made this trip disappointing... The description mentioned that the room was equipped with a large-screen TV and Blu-ray player. Hoping to enjoy some rare quiet time after dinner together as a couple, we brought along some cherished Blu-rays to watch. But when we inserted the disc into the player, it didn’t work at all. We called hotel staff for assistance but they couldn’t figure out how to connect it either. While we were relaxing in our loungewear in the room, staff rushed in flustered and tried various things with the equipment for quite some time—even contacting off-duty staff—but ultimately failed to resolve the issue or allow us to watch our Blu-rays as planned. Since these items are listed as amenities provided by the accommodation, proper maintenance should have been ensured so they could be used without issue. As for follow-up service afterward: while an apology was offered by an on-duty staff member during breakfast seating next morning—this was all that came of it; no further apologies were made during checkout nor any gestures like seeing us off properly at departure occurred either… In fact interactions felt rather indifferent overall compared against experiences elsewhere where even minor inconveniences prompted sincere apologies directly from managerial-level personnel alongside appropriate gestures reflecting care towards guests’ satisfaction levels.     This is a one-of-a-kind accommodation worth visiting solely to spend time here, without any other destination in mind! With only 8 rooms on a spacious property, there are three luxurious private Onsen facilities exclusively for guests, some even equipped with saunas.
