    The best cuisine, the best views

    The cuisine exceeded my already high expectations. I fully enjoyed seasonal seafood and mountain delicacies—especially the delicious Izu venison! I also liked that the portions weren’t too large, and the dessert selection was excellent. I chose the wine pairing, and it was outstanding—each pairing enhanced both the dishes and the wines. The staff maintained a comfortable level of attentiveness while being considerate throughout, making my stay very pleasant. Our Room was on the third floor with a stunning panoramic ocean view. With a free-flowing Onsen as well, it couldn’t have been better. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

    Completely satisfied with the views, the meals, and the service!

    I don’t usually add meals when traveling solo, but the Reviews were so good that I stayed with both dinner and breakfast included. I felt a bit nervous at dinner since there were many couples, but a staff member—like a sommelier—carefully explained the pairings, and I truly enjoyed the wine and food to the fullest. It was also wonderful to dine while looking out at the sea. The ocean view from the Room was breathtaking, and simply zoning out on the balcony watching the waves felt blissful. I also used the semi-open-air bath many times. It was an incredibly relaxing 2-day, 1-night stay where there wasn’t a single thing to worry about. I’m thinking of gifting this stay to my parents for their wedding anniversary, and I’d love to come back myself as well.

    We had a very comfortable stay.

    We stayed to celebrate my partner’s birthday. From arrival to check-out, every staff member was extremely courteous, and we could truly feel their thoughtful attention to detail, which made our time there very special. The cuisine unique to an auberge was also outstanding—each dish was beautifully presented and tasted incredible. We could appreciate the seasonal touches and the quality of the ingredients, and it’s the kind of meal that makes us want to come back just for the food. The Room was comfortable with a calm atmosphere, allowing us to relax and take our time. It was a stay worthy of an important anniversary, and we are sincerely grateful.

    Stayed in Room 101 with a two-meal Plan. For dinner, I chose venison from the light course where you can select either fish or meat as the main. At my age, the portion size of the light course was just right.

    I stayed here while ...

    I stayed here while pregnant, and the staff’s thoughtfulness was outstanding. They not only accommodated requests regarding raw foods, but also provided a maternity cushion and decaffeinated drinks, which was a huge help. The private flowing Onsen in the Room with an ocean view is especially recommended—you can enjoy the spectacular scenery without worrying about the cold. Each dish was delicious and clearly prepared with great care, and I was also impressed by how well stocked the in-Room drinks were. Traveling during a time when I sometimes felt uneasy about my condition, I never once felt inconvenienced thanks to the staff’s kindness. Thank you very much.

    The auberge is delightful.

    After being transferred to the Kanto area last year, I made a Reservation and visited because my wife, who is from Kansai, had never been to Atami. There is no large public bath, but the Room was spacious and each Room has its own Onsen. The water tasted slightly salty—perhaps because the sea is nearby—but having an in-room bath allowed us to soak and rest repeatedly, which was very relaxing. We had both dinner and breakfast, and we were very satisfied with both meals—it was well worth the trip. All staff were kind, and this is one Accommodation I would like to visit again. It would have been even better if there were something like socks available.

    An Accommodation where you can relax and enjoy delicious cuisine

    This was our first time staying here. The Room had a wonderful open feel, with a large window and an ocean view. The flooring and small table were a bit dated, but everything was thoroughly cleaned, so it didn’t bother us at all. It was very windy outside, but the windows were solid and we couldn’t hear any noise from outside, so we enjoyed a peaceful stay. Dinner in the dining room had a calm atmosphere with soft lighting, and we were able to relax and enjoy delicious French cuisine. Breakfast was served in the same dining room, but it felt completely different in the morning—bright, with panoramic ocean views from the windows. The breakfast plate was just the right amount and tasted great. We were also happy that items served with our meals—such as herbal tea, pepper, and marmalade—were available for purchase inside the Hotel. The Onsen is free-flowing from the source and located in the Room, so we could bathe whenever we liked and truly unwind. The staff provided very courteous service. There were also international staff members, but they assisted us in excellent Japanese, which made us feel comfortable. We felt truly refreshed thanks to the wonderful food and soothing Onsen. Thank you very much—we would love to stay again.

    We enjoyed thoughtfu...

    We enjoyed thoughtfully prepared, gently flavored, delicious French cuisine. The Onsen was very relaxing, and we ended up soaking many times. We were especially impressed by the attentive service from the young staff. Thank you very much.

    Second stay in Suite 101

    This was my second stay, as I was very satisfied when I visited for the first time last winter. The bath is a free-flowing Onsen with a relatively high salt content, leaving your skin smooth. I think I soaked about five times during my stay. Last time, breakfast and dinner were included, but since I don’t eat much, I ordered room service this time. The pizza was close to being great, but the pasta was softer than al dente, which was disappointing. Beds are a matter of preference, but it was too soft for me and I couldn’t sleep well. Still, overall it was a satisfying stay. Also, there is a footbath on site, but there were many insects and I could only use it after 9:00 a.m. on the morning of checkout. If you’re staying mainly for the footbath, winter is recommended.

    It warmed my heart.

    It was a cozy Accommodation, and the Room was a relaxing space where we could unwind at our own pace. Since the bath was in the Room, we were happy to be able to use it whenever we liked. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious; for breakfast, we enjoyed choosing the fillings for the bread and sharing with my companion so we could try two different flavors. We also appreciated the explanation of the wine pairing and enjoyed it together with the meal. Thank you very much.

    A Long-Awaited Return to Atami

    We previously stayed with you in Hakone, and this time we visited Atami. At check-in, you asked, “Would you like extra bath towels?” and we were truly impressed that our previous Review had been properly shared among the staff. Thanks to your adjusting the Onsen temperature to our liking, we were able to relax and enjoy a very comfortable time. The meals focused mainly on fish dishes, and breakfast was a baguette sandwich—something rare at an Accommodation—but everything was absolutely delicious. Personally, I preferred the Room design in Atami and the Onsen quality in Hakone (Sengokuhara), but both stays were wonderful. We would love to visit again.

    I had a relaxing and luxurious stay.

    This Accommodation truly stands out for the manager’s exceptionally courteous and professional hospitality!!! All of the staff treated us with great care as well. We stayed here to celebrate our engagement. The weather was perfect, and the moment we stepped into the Room, we were greeted by a panoramic view of blue skies and the ocean—both of us couldn’t help but smile. It isn’t very large, but with such a wonderful view, it feels more than spacious enough. The Onsen is a mildly warm salt spring that you can soak in for as long as you like. There’s also a balcony, so we enjoyed cooling off in the evening with a beer in hand, gazing at the sea and relaxing together… The Room looks exactly like the photos! For dinner, we enjoyed an incredibly delicious full-course French meal while watching the sky change from sunset to night—such a luxurious experience. This Accommodation clearly takes great pride in its cuisine!! Breakfast was also delicious—simply perfect. Such happy moments… With only a small number of guests, everything felt calm and unhurried—we were completely satisfied with our relaxing one-night, two-day getaway. Thank you very much. We’d love to come back again for another special occasion.

    It was a wonderful stay.

    We stayed here to celebrate my elderly mother’s birthday, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout—such as installing a guide rail by the semi-open-air bath for her. She was very happy. The free-flowing hot spring water was wonderfully warming and we loved it.\nAlthough the weather wasn’t great, the sea at dawn was beautiful. The food was excellent, and all of the staff who served us provided pleasant, attentive service.\nOverall, it was a highly satisfying trip.

    Highly recommended.

    I stayed here with my high school–aged daughter. It was a quiet Accommodation where we could relax, and we were very satisfied. Room 302 was spacious, clean, bright, and comfortable. The bath was slightly lukewarm, so even after soaking for a long time I didn’t feel tired afterward. The salt spring left my skin feeling moisturized. Because chlorine causes me to break out in a rash, I felt at ease with the free-flowing hot spring water. There were four bottles of mineral water (about 400 ml each) chilled in the refrigerator, plus two more for the coffee maker—more than enough drinks for our stay. You can also make tea or black tea with the coffee maker. The amenities weren’t extensive, but they were sufficient. Unfortunately the weather was cloudy to rainy, but we still enjoyed the ocean view. The meals were delicious. We don’t eat large portions, so the amount was just right for us. I rated staff 4 stars, but it’s really closer to 4.5—most of them were kind and helpful. The explanations of each dish were clear and well balanced, which made dining even more enjoyable. They kindly agreed by phone the day before to pick us up at Izu-Taga Station. They also provide a drop-off on departure day, so guests arriving by train can feel reassured. However, you do need to carry your luggage up and down the stairs between the station building and the rotary in front of it yourself. It wasn’t an issue for us since we only had one night’s worth of luggage, but if you have a lot of bags or any mobility concerns, it may be best to ask in advance. We would love to visit again.     The cuisine, wine, and Onsen are all exceptional.

    It was a wonderful stay, and I was especially impressed by the quality of the meals. The most memorable dish was the oshitsuke fish served at dinner. It was coated with domyoji on the surface—crispy and pleasantly textured at first, then gradually absorbing the sauce over time, changing both its texture and how the flavors came together. That thoughtful progression reflected the chef’s clear attention to detail. The wine pairing was also excellent. The sommelier was extremely knowledgeable and carefully explained even the background of why a particular grape variety from a specific country matched each dish. Thanks to those well-informed recommendations, every course tasted even better. The Room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The semi-open-air Onsen in particular was an exceptional space where I could truly relax while enjoying the view outside. Delicious food and wine, plus an Onsen—everything was high quality, making this an Accommodation I would definitely love to visit again.

    Secluded Glamping (Room 101)

    We stayed in Room 101 (JARDIN “En”), a garden Room. We deliberately chose a Room without an ocean view because we wanted to relax while looking at the large trees. Unfortunately it rained, but the bath was designed so that opening the door turns it into a semi-open-air bath, allowing us to unwind without worrying about the rain or wind. Above all, having the bath inside the Room meant the soothing sound of Onsen water flowing from the spout echoed pleasantly indoors, and we enjoyed an excellent healing experience without even turning on the TV.

    This is an Accommodation I’d been curious about for a long time.\nI always choose an Accommodation with a focus on the food.\nTrusting the Reviews, we decided to stay here.\nIn the end, we were very satisfied.\nWe enjoyed a variety of delicious dishes made with unique ingredients—truly a feast for both the eyes and the palate.\nI’m not usually fond of game dishes, but the Izu venison roti was tender and incredibly delicious.\nIt made me wonder what kind of venison I’d been eating until now.\nIt was also great that we could choose our breakfast sandwich.\nThe Onsen was at just the right temperature, and we were able to relax and warm up thoroughly.\nAbove all, the staff’s attentive service was very pleasant.\nMy husband was satisfied as well.\nWe’d love to visit again in a different season.\nThank you very much.

    I felt truly healed from the heart.

    This was my first solo trip, and the Room was very clean, the view was amazing, and I could truly relax! The staff were also very kind. I had a personal issue, and they listened with care and helped me a lot. The meals were incredibly delicious both dinner and breakfast—satisfying to the eyes and the stomach! The bath had wonderful views and an open, airy feel, so I went in many times. There were plenty of drinks provided in the Room as well—it really felt like every detail was taken care of! Since I was traveling alone, I’m glad I could fully enjoy the space. I’d love to visit again! Thank you very much!

    This was our first visit as a mother and daughter. The French dinner we came for was beautifully presented, and every dish was delicious. The lightly seared grunt fish was especially fragrant, and the new burdock potage had a memorable, well-balanced accent. The Izu venison roast paired perfectly with red wine. We made our Reservation without paying much attention to the Onsen, but the free-flowing natural spring water had a pleasantly strong saltiness that left our skin feeling refreshed and detoxed—we were very satisfied. The Room was clean and well maintained, and we truly appreciate the staff’s courteous service. We would love to visit again.

    We visited as a couple. We felt the Room layout was not very practical. Since there is no partition between the changing/wash area and the living area, there was no private space and we could not relax. The meals felt overly elaborate.

    Relax while gazing at the sea

    I booked this place because I wanted a relaxing solo trip, and it felt like a nice hidden retreat. The Room was easy to use, and since I chose a double-bed Room, I was able to relax comfortably. This is just my personal preference, but what I liked was: :There is a chair at the sink :A set of amenities is provided :The bath towels are not too thick and are easy to use :The Onsen temperature is just right (probably around 40–41°C) :The coffee maker set includes decaf options Since there are no handrails in the Onsen, I think it would be good to take extra care if you are traveling with elderly guests. Breakfast includes hot dogs. They can be a little hard to eat, but there is a wide variety and it’s fun to choose. I would like to visit again in a different season.
