    It was great.

    As seen in the photos, the onsen, meals, and room were excellent. The baths, including the indoor bath, were clean, and the large public bath was not crowded. I would like to make a reservation again.

    Family Onsen Trip During Obon Holiday

    The room was very spacious and nice, but unfortunately, the WiFi only worked at the room entrance and not elsewhere. The food was delicious. There were many photo spots, but when I asked a staff member to take a picture for me, she said she was busy, which surprised me. This experience with the female staff member was disappointing.

    Onsen and the view are excellent.

    The Facility and the concierge were excellent. However, the front desk staff was terrible. There were no amenities, and even when asked, they claimed not to know where they were stored.

    Excellent value for money

    The staff's dedication and excellent service are rare in recent accommodations. The room is ample and relaxing. The hot spring quality is average, so 4 points. The layout of the accommodation is complex and easy to get lost in, so 4 points, but this issue can be resolved for repeat visitors. Meals are delicious, and the selection of Japanese sake is outstanding, making it highly satisfying on its own.

    The Facility is excellent, but there are many steps.

    - The Facility is excellent. - The Four Seasons Corridor was outstanding. Even though it’s outdoors, the chairs and tables were clean and well maintained. That said, since it’s outside, it may be less comfortable in summer and winter. - Because the Accommodation is deep in the mountains, it truly feels very private. However, there are a lot of insects. - If you book a Room with an open-air bath, insects can come in directly, so I recommend bringing an insect spray for your Room (something like “Chu”). - The annex lounge is basically just an add-on to the main lounge, with canned beer and chu-hi plus a few small snacks. - Dinner is good if you upgrade. I was worried because older Reviews said the food was mediocre, but after upgrading it tasted reasonable for this price range. If anything, I wish breakfast were a bit better… - Lack of consistency: staff include older Japanese women who provide classic Onsen-style hospitality alongside international staff. Middle-aged or older guests expecting traditional Onsen service may feel dissatisfied. - Unlike some past Reviews, I didn’t have major complaints about the food. However, since the Facility is so impressive, it’s best to think of the standard course as a value option—and the upgraded course as closer to what you’d expect at this price point. - The building is very large and full of steps—the opposite of barrier-free access. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re traveling with elderly guests or anyone who dislikes walking; at minimum, getting around the annex involves quite a bit of walking. - About the in-room open-air bath: while they note that each Room has a different style, my Room had no blinds/screens at all and insects could freely enter—disappointing. I knew it wasn’t an Onsen bath, but it used a regular household water heater so it took a long time to fill; when I tried to cool it down with cold water, hardly any came out either. In the end, if it isn’t Onsen water anyway, having temperature control via faucets would be much easier. Since the Accommodation itself was lovely overall, next time I’ll choose a Room without an open-air bath instead.

    What is the service?

    We recommend having your staff stay as customers several times a year and conducting surveys. Experience firsthand the guidance at valet parking, the check-in process without welcome drinks during extreme heat, room guidance, empty refrigerators or limited drink options in the room, the quality of amenities needed after using private open-air baths, meal quality and seasoning, and whether guests can manage with many pieces of luggage on escalators after check-out. In my personal opinion, it was an accommodation that completely missed addressing small but important details. The building and garden are wonderful.

    It was a wonderful Ryokan.

    The Room and view were just as shown in the photos, making it feel like being in the middle of a forest, which was wonderful. I was initially worried about the bath being crowded, but it was almost private and spacious, allowing me to relax. However, the meals were disappointing; while they had plenty of volume, none of them stood out or left a lasting impression.

    70th Birthday Celebration

    I stayed here for my 70th birthday. They prepared a private room for dinner, celebrated my milestone, and even surprised me with a gift at checkout. I was deeply moved by all the thoughtful surprises. The room, bath, and cuisine were all top-notch and truly exceptional accommodations. The staff, including those who assisted with car transportation, were incredibly attentive. The chef's dishes were outstanding, as were the presentation and tableware. I even took home the handwritten menu as a keepsake. I will definitely return! Looking forward to visiting during crab season!

    Enjoy a private and exclusive experience.

    The interior felt like a maze, but it added charm, and the garden was magnificent. The room in the annex "Komorebi" was a luxurious and spacious space. The onsen, lounge, and heated pool could be enjoyed at a private pace. The heated pool at night was especially wonderful with views of the bamboo grove, creating an excellent atmosphere. The meals were more than plentiful; unfortunately, we couldn't finish everything. However, each dish was beautifully presented and delicious. All the staff were kind, but the smiles of those at the restaurant and front desk stood out in particular. It was an accommodation that made us want to visit again. Thank you very much!

    Impressed by the exceptional hospitality

    We stayed at the Property with our family during the New Year. The atmosphere inside was calm and relaxing, and the hospitality of the staff was excellent, allowing us to spend a truly special time. What impressed us the most was the variety of breakfast options! The menu offered a wide range of Japanese and Western dishes, all prepared with great care, making us feel happy from the morning. This time, we chose a Room with an open-air hinoki bath, and it was the perfect choice. Surrounded by the soothing scent of hinoki, we could enjoy the Onsen at our preferred time, which was an unparalleled luxury. The spacious Room allowed us to relax and unwind with our family. Overall, it was a wonderful Property where we could feel the meticulous attention to detail. We would love to visit again in a different season!

    It was a wonderful resort that was quiet and calm, unlike what you would expect from an Onsen town.

    Despite being in an onsen town, the property is secluded and surrounded by trees, offering a quiet and serene stay without the hustle and bustle of a large onsen property. The main building had a twin-bed Japanese-style room, and the atmosphere was enhanced with relaxation CDs and a virtual fireplace. Meals were enjoyed in a private room, which was also calm and allowed us to savor delicious dishes that conveyed the chef's passion, along with rare local sake. Bath towels were provided at all large baths and wellness facilities, so there was no need to bring them from the room, which was convenient. This time, we visited in winter, so next time we hope to visit in a warmer season and enjoy the outdoor relaxation spaces.

    Bringing a swimsuit is recommended!

    Despite forgetting to mention the shuttle service and food allergies until late the night before, we were very grateful for the sincere and thorough response we received. Especially during meals, everyone who served us was considerate and reassured us, allowing us to eat with peace of mind. It was a top-notch service. Inside the hotel, the building where our room was located prohibited shoes, and there were no slippers, making it easy to walk around. At the boundary with other buildings, many slippers were provided, and we wore them from there. It was a very large hotel, and while moving around, we felt like we were in a maze. There were some buildings where lively parties were being held, but overall, it was a quiet and calm atmosphere. The room had an interesting layout with a washbasin and bathroom at the back of the alcove. The spacious bathroom had a large window and looked comfortable (though we didn't use it this time). The washbasin and tea corner were a bit cramped, which was slightly disappointing. Our favorite part of the hotel was the bamboo grove pool. With relaxing music playing in the background, we could leisurely swim in the pool, which was at a perfect temperature (perhaps an onsen). Although we almost gave up because swimsuits were required, we were able to rent bathing suits and use the pool. It was a one-hour private reservation system with no additional charge. This time, we stayed for one night during our trip, but next time, we would like to leisurely explore the neighborhood as well.

    It was great!

    The futon mattress was thin and my body hurt. On the other hand, the comforter was too heavy. When I opened the door to the indoor bath, it smelled, perhaps because it was old. I got used to it after a while. The room was quite spacious and satisfying, and I was pleased with the free drink service in the lobby.

    It exceeded my expectations, but...

    The room was the best among the resort hotels I have stayed at so far, with a great view from the high ground and spaciousness. It was well-maintained, allowing us to spend a pleasant and relaxing time. The staff who guided us were very polite and kind, which made us feel good. Just one point. The dinner was a yakiniku menu, but the fat of the Yongen pork was tough, and we couldn't eat it in the end. Before that, one of the appetizers was missing, and there was no apology, which dampened our spirits a bit, and it was disappointing.

    I had a comfortable stay for two consecutive nights.

    I booked the room and meals with anticipation, and the comfort exceeded my expectations. I reserved a detached room, so there were many stairs and elevators to navigate, but the well-maintained garden visible from the room and corridors showed a sense of hospitality. The meals featured local ingredients and regional cuisine, which I enjoyed. At breakfast, I was pleased to be able to add local dishes I wanted to try from the half-buffet. The private heated pool, where you could hear the wind and sound of the bamboo grove, was relaxing and memorable.
