    That's unfortunate.

    I went with high expectations because the reviews were good, but I was disappointed. The staff were not very talkative and their guidance was unkind. Some were good, but most acted without saying anything, which felt inexperienced. During the meal, when I asked about the room, I was silently led to a table in front of me, and I wasn't sure if I should follow. The table was too close to the next one, and the surrounding noise made me lose my appetite, so I had my husband eat everything from halfway through. He said the taste was good. Since it was supposed to be a semi-special room, I expected at least some partition for the meal, but it was like a public dining hall, which felt too expensive for the price. I wanted to enjoy dinner slowly, so it was very disappointing. The hot water in the cypress semi-open-air bath was very pleasant to use. I thought it would be nice to have a body towel among the amenities. I will not use it again.

    Shared room with a dog

    I stayed with my 85-year-old father, a toy poodle, and my spouse. The Room where dogs can stay is separated from other Rooms by a hallway door, providing a sense of security. There were also amenities for dogs. Although you cannot take dogs to the dining room, dinner was served at a table seat with a private room-like atmosphere, and there were many luxurious dishes, all of which were delicious, but the quantity was too much for the elderly to finish. Breakfast was not in a private room but in a buffet style, but since the meal times were staggered, we could eat calmly with a small number of people. The large public bath has an indoor bath on the lower floor and an open-air bath on the upper floor. I used the open-air bath, but since everything except the changing room is outside, I was worried that I might be seen from the riverbank when washing my body. There is a hedge, but the gaps were large, so be careful when entering during bright times. The view from the Room where we slept was good, as we could see the river right in front of us.

    The perfect holiday

    We stayed with 4 family members and 1 pet. The room was spacious, and the meals were so plentiful that we couldn't finish them, and everything was delicious.

    A cozy inn with delicious meals.

    The meals were delicious, and there was a sense of security knowing that they checked for any ingredients I might not like. The guest room seemed to have been renovated a few years ago and was clean, and I enjoyed the semi-open-air bath in the room. The large public bath was also impressive, with a smooth and slippery texture that seemed good for the skin. Considering SDGs and hot spring resources, in the future, it might be better to fill the room bath only when needed instead of having a constant flow, but I was able to enjoy a luxurious bath. Unlike many hot spring inns these days, I didn't see any foreign staff, and there didn't seem to be any foreign guests either, which gave it a calm atmosphere. The moderate service, not overbearing, is one of the reasons I would like to return. If I were to point out two things, one would be that the delicious and memorable room kombucha from my previous stay was no longer available. Instead, there was drip coffee, and the green tea in the room was delicious, but it was a bit disappointing that there were fewer options for those who don't want to consume caffeine at night. The other issue was that the guest room I stayed in did not have a handwashing basin outside of the washroom, so if you have a reserved relationship with your roommate, it was a bit difficult to wash hands or rinse your mouth while they were bathing. It might have just been the room I stayed in this time. In any case, it's an inn I would like to use again if I have the opportunity.
