    Family Trip

    Thank you again for your gracious hospitality. We also truly appreciate the gift of rhinoceros beetles and stag beetles for our grandchild. We were able to relax at leisure in the natural hot spring waters of Harazuru Onsen, and the meals—especially breakfast—were excellent. If the rate were a little more affordable, this is an Accommodation we would love to visit more often. Thank you very much for taking care of us during our stay.

    Human Appeal

    We stayed in the top-floor Room “Seburi.” We were lucky with the weather and thoroughly enjoyed the open-air bath in our Room. The meals were delicious, and we especially liked the semi-buffet style breakfast. If there was anything to mention, it would be that the washbasin area in the Room was small and a bit inconvenient, and one of the open-air baths on the 4th floor was also quite small, so it wasn’t very relaxing. Above all, what makes this Accommodation truly special is its people. In particular, the staff member who looked after our Room showed outstanding thoughtfulness. In Harazuru Onsen and Chikugogawa Onsen, there are often many foreign employees, which can sometimes leave me feeling a bit uneasy; however, this time I was able to leave feeling genuinely satisfied for the first time in a while. If I have another chance, I would definitely like to stay again.

    The Facility and ser...

    The Facility and services were excellent, but loud rock music played at night and didn’t match the atmosphere. The sound of children running on the floor above also carried through, making it hard to relax, so overall it was disappointing.

    Wonderful Accommodation

    One-night stay with my mother, who turns 90 this year. Even before our stay, we received a thoughtful call suggesting grab bars for the in-room bath and a floor chair, which truly impressed us. The staff’s hospitality was outstanding, and we were able to relax comfortably from check-in to check-out; my mother was especially delighted. We were also amazed by the high quality of the meals. And since it was the right season, we were pleasantly surprised to see several fireflies from our Room. A truly wonderful Accommodation—highly recommended. We would love to stay again.

    The Ship

    We had a relaxing stay in the Junior Suite.

    This was my second visit in five years. Check-in was crowded and seemed quite hectic. It was a Room on the 3rd floor. The open-air bath becomes a semi-open-air bath when you fully open the window. However, because it is designed to be barrier-free, the tub felt a bit small. The hot water is free-flowing from the source. The Room has a sense of history but is kept very clean. Two bottles of mineral water are provided. I understood why breakfast is rated higher than dinner. The parking lot is some distance away, which made me a little uneasy.

    It was very comfortable.

    I made a last-minute Reservation and arrived without much time to plan. It’s a typical Onsen Accommodation, but it was very comfortable, and the meals were delicious. The breakfast in particular was excellent. The view from the window, overlooking the Chikugo River, was truly relaxing.

    A truly wonderful Accommodation

    The quality of the hot spring water was spot on.

    Personally, I found the quality of the hot spring water to be excellent. The male staff at the front desk were pleasant and helpful, so it’s easy to see why the occupancy rate is high. Unfortunately, I’m not sure why, but one of the female dining staff seemed to be in a bad mood; when dishes are served as if they’re being slammed down on the table, even good food becomes less enjoyable and it feels unpleasant. It was very disappointing.

    We’ll definitely be back!

    The Accommodation’s atmosphere, staff, and facilities were all wonderful. The food was top-notch—and there was so much that we couldn’t finish it all. We tried every Onsen, and the temperature and views were perfect. Everything was well maintained, and we could really feel the care and attention to detail. Please continue to be such a wonderful Ryokan. It’s an Accommodation we would definitely love to visit again.

    It was an excellent accommodation.

    We stayed in a semi-special Room with a hinoki wood open-air bath. First, the welcome matcha and sweets were delicious. The Room was spacious and relaxing. Since it was a snowy day in February, the shower booth leading to the open-air bath was cold and we couldn’t really use it. However, the in-room open-air bath was large and wonderful, and we used it many times. We also used the open-air bath; it was spacious with a great atmosphere, and the water temperature was just right—excellent. The Unagi (eel) feast Wagyu kaiseki Plan for dinner was delicious from start to finish, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. This is an Accommodation we would like to use again. Next time we stay, we would like to walk around the white-walled streetscape.

    Girls' Onsen Trip

    Every year, we go on a girls' Onsen trip with four people around this time. This year, we took advantage of the three-day weekend and stayed for 2 nights and 3 days, using Roppokan for the second night. The Room was clean and spacious enough for four people. We enjoyed all the baths—the large public bath, open-air bath, and the bath in our Room—and the water was excellent and very relaxing. The meals were also fantastic; both dinner and breakfast had a wide variety of dishes that were delicious and filling. For breakfast, in addition to the pre-set dishes, there was a buffet where we could choose side dishes, bread, fruits, and drinks—it was great! We would definitely like to stay here again.

    Moderate Accommodation Rokuhokan

    This time, the main feature was being able to stay with our dog, but the service, meals, and Onsen were all excellent. With mountains and rivers nearby, it was the perfect place to refresh away from the city.

    Delightful meals and relaxing Onsen for complete satisfaction

    I heard from a regular guest I met by chance at the Onsen that the food here is delicious, and it exceeded my expectations. During dinner, it was time for fireworks, and the staff kindly paused serving so we could go outside to watch them. When I apologized for delaying their cleanup, they smiled and said it was no problem. The Onsen made my skin feel smooth and soft. The lobby had a pleasant aroma of incense, but I noticed a slight smell in the hallways and room that concerned me a bit. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

    Made a reservation the day before to enjoy a travel-like experience near Fukuoka. The meal menu was personalized with my name and was delicious. The room had a private open-air onsen, and soaking in it while breathing in the morning air felt wonderful.

    The hospitality of the Room staff is excellent. Their kindness and attentiveness were heartwarming. The special room on the top floor offers great views, a wonderful open-air bath, and delicious meals.

    The Onsen was great, and the staff were so friendly that it made me want to visit this accommodation again.

    The room offered a wonderful view of the Chikugo River, with greenery and blue skies visible from the window. The onsen featured silky smooth water that was gentle on the skin, leaving it moisturized after bathing. The staff provided warm hospitality, making it feel like returning to a hometown despite it being our first stay at this accommodation.

    An accommodation you can enjoy comfortably and want to revisit.

    The barrier-free room on the 3rd floor is not too spacious and has a practical layout. The large public bath on the 1st floor and the open-air bath on the 4th floor are excellent, while the semi-open-air bath in the room is comfortable with impressive water quality. Meals in the dining area were delicious with no unpleasant surprises, and everything was finished to satisfaction. Perhaps due to its proximity to the kitchen, even cold beer tasted exceptional. Subtle attentiveness can be felt throughout without being overly intrusive, which adds to its charm. There were no signs of foreign staff or guests, preserving an atmosphere of a traditional Onsen accommodation. Parking might be slightly challenging for those unfamiliar with larger vehicles, and perhaps coffee in the guest rooms may not suit everyone's taste. On departure, stopping by "Michi-no-Eki Basaro" nearby for seasonal vegetables and local sweets made for a satisfying trip overall. It seems there’s also a Kirin Beer factory in Asakura City that could add more places worth visiting!

    A Relaxing Accommodation

    I have stayed here many times. The meals and Onsen are very satisfying. The room is clean and comfortable. The pajamas are easy to wear, soft on the skin, and my favorite. It would be nice if the amenities like shampoo were upgraded, especially for women.

    The kind and courteo...

    The kind and courteous service with a warm smile from the room staff was truly healing for both body and mind. The fresh flowers displayed in several places also reflected thoughtful care. I have stayed in the Yufu Room several times before, and it always feels so relaxing. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Before the renovatio...

    Before the renovation, the bathroom felt cramped, but it has completely changed for the better! The large hinoki bath, spacious washing area, and easy-to-use water and hot water faucets made it simple to adjust to my preferred temperature. The Room had a large sunken kotatsu, and when I opened the shoji screens on the side, I could enjoy the beautiful view of the Chikugo River through the large window, which was very pleasant. The staff were friendly, and I would like to continue using this place in the future. (P.S. How about placing a deodorizing spray in the closet? Also, it would be helpful to have a note about refilling the water for the kettle.)

    Really wonderful!

    We stayed with three people: my grandparents and my daughter. The service, the Room, the meals, and the Onsen were all perfect, and we were very pleased. Next time, we are considering staying with three families for my grandmother's 60th birthday celebration. We made wonderful memories. Thank you very much!

    Soft and high-quality Onsen, with unpretentious and pleasant hospitality.

    The large public bath, with its mild spring quality and slightly higher temperature, is a favorite for a comfortable bathing experience. The spring quality of the Room bath is also excellent. There is no sense of being overwhelmed by the inbound tourism wave, and both staff and guests from abroad are not particularly noticeable, creating a lively yet calm atmosphere that feels reassuring, even with some waiting time during check-in. The Room on the top floor where I stayed this time featured high-quality tatami with a pleasant texture and fragrance. The female staff member in charge of the Room provided attentive yet unobtrusive service, which was very comfortable. The meals were excellent, and the additional drinks were reasonably priced, offering peace of mind. If I were to point out a downside, it would be that, due to the spaciousness of the Room, the locations of light switches, power outlets, and the placement of the air conditioning and TV remotes were slightly difficult to figure out. The guest Room bath I stayed in this time had a step, so it might be a good idea to consult in advance if you require barrier-free accommodations. All in all, this is a Property I would like to revisit when the opportunity arises.

    We enjoyed the full-course fugu meal.

    I enjoyed the rich, serum-like hot spring water again this time, and on the second day, I indulged in a full-course pufferfish meal. From thinly sliced pufferfish sashimi, fin sake, chawanmushi with pufferfish milt, deep-fried pufferfish, pufferfish hot pot, to rice porridge, everything was exquisite! It was absolutely delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the seasonal flavors unique to this time of year. (I think it would have been perfect if Roman chrysanthemum had been used in the pufferfish hot pot.) Thanks to the pufferfish collagen, my skin feels amazing. I would love to visit again.
