    I would love to stay here again if possible.

    Currently, we regret to inform you that single occupancy stays are not accepted. Although the Room is old and small, its exquisite design is quite rare these days. It seems they are planning renovations to install air conditioning, which is a bit disappointing.

    Enjoy nature and Onsen

    We enjoyed a 2-night, 3-day stay at an accommodation surrounded by nature. We reserved a detached room and were able to enjoy both the onsen in our room and the historic onsen in the main building. The quality of the hot spring water exceeded our expectations, and we were very satisfied. The meals were also delightful. Not only was the taste excellent, but they were visually appealing as well. The staff provided detailed explanations about each dish, allowing us to enjoy them even more while savoring their flavors. Thank you very much! However, there was one disappointing point— The issue with the passage between the detached room and the main building. Even though we wanted to enjoy the onsen in the main building more, it was inconvenient because there was no connected passageway, which made us dependent on weather conditions or time constraints. While there are accommodations across the whole country with detached rooms that have covered walkways connecting them to onsens or dining areas for convenience, we hope this can be considered positively for future improvements. We are grateful to all staff members for their kind and attentive service throughout our stay. It was our first visit to Aomori, and we created wonderful memories here. Unfortunately, due to one day of bad weather, we couldn’t take a ride on Hakkoda Mountain Ropeway this time; however, we look forward to visiting again in the future!

    Wonderful Accommodation

    The meals were delicious, the bath had a charming atmosphere, and the natural hot spring flow was excellent. Tsutanuma is also nearby, and I would love to visit during the autumn foliage season, but it seems nearly impossible to make a reservation. My husband wished he could have enjoyed the wonderful dishes with local craft beer. This is an accommodation I would like to visit again.

    The ultimate hot spring experience!

    This is an onsen accommodation for adults, so I was concerned about bringing small children, but I couldn't resist booking to experience the onsen here. The staff at the accommodation treated us exceptionally well, making it a truly satisfying stay. I wish we could have stayed one more night. I was curious about what an onsen with a thousand-year history would be like, and it turned out to be the best hot spring experience of my life. The onsen was majestic and overwhelming in its presence, and it was fascinating how light my body felt after getting out of the water. Both dinner and breakfast were filled with local delicacies, incredibly delicious, allowing me to enjoy meals at a leisurely pace for the first time in a while. I even recommended this place to my parents right away! I look forward to visiting again soon.

    This is my second ti...

    This is my second time at Tsuta Onsen. I have decided to stay in the "Katsura" Room. On New Year's Eve at Tsuta Onsen, it snowed... and I was able to spend my time quietly and leisurely. The staff were very kind, and when they found out that my partner's birthday was approaching... they gave us sparkling wine as a celebration. I was very happy. Thank you very much. It is a wonderful Stays that I definitely want to visit again. Thank you.

    A day to remember: Staying on the first heavy snow day

    It was the first heavy snowfall of the year. As soon as the plane from Osaka arrived, I received a call from the property, and they kindly guided me on a safe route. They advised me to arrive before it got dark, so I cut my city sightseeing short. On the way, I saw four cars that had slipped off the road due to the massive snow, and I was quite nervous, but I finally arrived at the property! It took twice as long as planned, so if it weren't for the property's advice, it would have been completely dark by the time I arrived. The property has a charming appearance, but inside it is very clean and tidy, and the bath is absolutely wonderful! It's like a world from "Spirited Away." For dinner, I enjoyed a lot of local sake, and honestly, I didn't have high expectations for Tohoku cuisine, but I was delighted with the fresh sea fish, river fish, and meat. In the morning, I enjoyed a buffet at a snow-viewing table. Thanks to everyone who carefully cleared the more than 40 centimeters of snow that fell overnight, I was able to depart as planned the next morning. In any case, this is a property where you can relax and enjoy the absence of entertainment. I plan to visit again in the cool summer. Thank you very much.

    This is my first review, but I felt compelled to write it. I visited during the peak autumn foliage season at Tsutanuma. Tsutanuma was very beautiful, and the staff's hospitality was good, but there were some disappointing points. We were guided to the slot from 5:00 when Tsutanuma is at its best, but with the checkout time at 10:00, breakfast from 7:00 to 8:30, and bath cleaning time from 9:00 to 10:00, even if we returned to the ryokan before 7:00, the morning time was very tight and hectic. It was disappointing that there were no drink services available at the time when you might want something to drink after a bath at night (having a water server in front of the bath might have changed the impression). I also felt that the dinner was lacking in the number and quantity of dishes without additional orders. There are other points, but overall, it seemed that the focus was more on reducing the burden on the ryokan side rather than on entertaining the guests. No matter how good the staff's hospitality is, there are limits to the services that can be provided, so I have rated it low. Even if the same service content is offered at the regular rate, it is personally tough, but if it is the high season rate due to the autumn foliage season at Tsutanuma, I would like them to consider services that are more accommodating to the guests (viewers).

    Charming Stays

    I made a reservation to see the red autumn leaves of the morning sun at Tsutanuma. Although it was a bit early, I was able to enjoy the wonderful scenery of the sunrise. The property was great, preserving the good old things while also being new and comfortable. The floors and other areas were polished to a shine, allowing me to feel the flow of time as if I had time-traveled. The onsen was exceptionally wonderful, warming me to the heart.

    It was a property I had longed for, but...

    The char for dinner was the most delicious I've ever had. The onsen also had a lot of charm. However, perhaps because it was during the season, I often felt that the accommodation cost was not quite worth it.

    Onsen is wonderful.

    Both the service and the facility are satisfactory, making it a good property overall. There are many dishes, but I don't think the price is justified. The only thing that satisfies me at a property costing over 50,000 yen per person is the onsen.

    A medicinal bath inn that I would definitely like to visit again.

    A wonderful hot spring inn near the major tourist destination of Aomori, Oirase, it was truly quiet and allowed for a relaxing stay. Tsuta Onsen Ryokan, a solitary inn nestled among the mountains, is retro yet very clean and equipped with all necessary facilities. This is a hot spring area known for therapeutic baths since the Heian period, with water that springs from the ground, clear and with a slight sulfur scent, but incredibly soft, leaving the skin truly smooth. This time, I splurged on a private bath reservation and checked out all the bathing areas, each with a solid, historical feel, and ended up enjoying a half-body bath for over 30 minutes. The ceilings in the bathing areas are generally high, preventing heat from accumulating, so although the bath is hot at 43 degrees, it was perfect for a half-body soak with just the feet or lower body submerged. I definitely want to visit again and stay a little longer at this inn.

    The: Onsen

    As a hot spring enthusiast, I've visited many places across the country, and this hot spring ranks among my top five. The quality of the spring is excellent! Just a short soak warms you to the core. The food wasn't as impressive as I had hoped, but I could see the effort put into it. However, focusing on local mountain vegetables and products might have enhanced the satisfaction, given the remote mountain setting of the hot spring... But the hot spring itself was outstanding. It's definitely a place I want to visit again.

    Hot springs and Tsutanuma Lake

    The hot spring was very, very good. It was clear, not as strong-smelling as Suka-yu, and the inn had a charming structure that warmed the body. The room seemed to be renovated and was comfortable. The service and attention to detail from the staff were very satisfying. The only disappointment was being paired with a group of one loud man and three women. The quiet inn became noisy during dinner, as if there was a party, and even in the room where drinks were provided for free, their voices echoed loudly, causing us to leave early. This was just bad luck being with this particular group of guests. By the way, they had a slight accent, so I think they might have been from the southern Tohoku or northern Kanto area. Other than this, it was a quiet and relaxing stay, with a great location just a little over a 10-minute walk to Tsutanuma. Both breakfast and dinner focused on local ingredients, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
