Koyaru no Sato Doggies Island

We stayed in the South Wing. We recommend renting a tuk-tuk. Since it’s a little away from the center, it’s convenient for going to the convenience store or the dog run.Although it’s a bit of a distance, the building and Room are new and spotless—you wouldn’t expect it to be a dog-friendly Hotel. The sofa had a slight odor, but everything else was truly clean. Amenities were well stocked (including makeup remover and toner), along with bathrobes and more. The kitchen was fully equipped with dishes and even a coffee machine. The refrigerator also came with complimentary drinks—everything was taken care of.We couldn’t get a dinner Reservation, so we took out pizza instead. It was genuinely delicious—more like pizza from an Italian restaurant than typical tourist-spot pizza. It might be even better dining in. Breakfast was buffet-style. The venue is next to the building and very close; there is also dog food and treats available, but I’d like to see more variety for people, and it would be great if they cooked eggs to order.For bathing, we went to Mori no Yu next door. For the admission fee, it felt somewhat underwhelming. The cafeteria looked tasty though, so we might have eaten there instead.All staff were kind, and the dog run was well maintained.We had a great time.

I stayed one night in the Pool Suite with my dog. I stay here every year around this time, but this time it rained. The water was cold too, so we couldn’t use the pool. I thought the dog run might be impossible as well, but the eat-in space across from the front desk was opened as an indoor dog run, so we were able to play without getting wet! Since it’s going to get hotter, it would be great if it could be used as an air-conditioned indoor dog run regardless of the weather (just a request). On day two we played in the outdoor dog run. Even if they get a little wet, Doggies don’t get very dirty, and we can shampoo them before heading home, so no problem. The amenities changed sometime around last year, and I’m not happy that the shampoo doesn’t lather well anymore, so I lowered my rating for amenities. I’ll be back later this month to try the Pool Suite again—hopefully we can use the pool next time.
