    It is a good Ryokan.

    This was my second stay. The renovations have made it even more beautiful. I had a wonderful trip.

    The entire Hotel has an old design.

    The guest room felt old and dim, which was disappointing compared to the photos. The bath is located on the 10th floor, but the elevator only goes up to the 9th floor, so you need to take the stairs. On a hot summer day, it can be quite sweaty—but at least you can enjoy a refreshing bath afterward! The food was delicious, and breakfast was plentiful with more than enough to satisfy.

    The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious.

    I made a sudden decision to visit and completed the Reservation the day before. The Room was a twin on the mountain side, so it didn’t have a view of Takamatsu city, but the bamboo grove and fresh greenery were beautiful. They carried my luggage to the Room and had already turned on the air conditioning and lights, which was very helpful. I was initially concerned about dining alone for dinner as it might attract attention, but each dining area was separated with curtains, allowing me to enjoy my meal at ease without worrying about others' gazes. The meal was traditional Japanese kaiseki cuisine featuring locally sourced vegetables and fish with delicious seasoning. Everything tasted wonderful, especially the broth of the udon suki in a small pot—it was exceptional! The Room was clean and well-maintained. Ceramic cups along with drip coffee packs and tea bags were thoughtfully provided. The yukata patterns were adorable as well. After dinner, I planned to visit this Hotel's famous large public bath while enjoying its night view again; however, I fell into a deep sleep due to alcohol consumed during dinner and missed that opportunity. Still, I managed to enjoy their excellent Onsen in the evening at sunset, early morning around 5:30 AM, then once more before 9 AM after stepping out briefly. Even though it was an impromptu trip, everyone at this Hotel greeted me warmly with smiles and kindness. The food was delightful too—I would love to stay here again someday! Thank you very much!

    A bit disappointing

    We stayed at the accommodation "Kajukai" on the fourth night of our Shikoku and San'in trip, which offered breathtaking views. Check-in starts at 4 PM, which felt a bit late as we prefer to relax earlier; 3 PM would have been ideal. After driving up a steep slope for a few minutes, the impressive "Kajukai" appeared before us. However, upon arriving at the drop-off area and attempting to unload our luggage, we were asked by a female staff member to move directly to the parking lot instead of unloading there. This seemed unnecessary since there weren’t other cars waiting behind us. Putting that aside, we headed to our room—and it was absolutely wonderful! The view and private bath exceeded all expectations. We chose a room dining plan for dinner, which turned out to be an excellent decision. Enjoying delicious cuisine while watching the stunning view transition into nighttime scenery was truly elegant. The meal featured kaiseki dishes highlighting ingredients from Takamatsu and even included udon noodles—though it could use just a little more creativity in presentation or flavor. The staff member who served us during dinner was exceptionally attentive and made our experience very pleasant—thanks to them, any frustrations from check-in were forgotten. Overall, staying at "Kajukai," which I had been looking forward to for some time, left me with mixed feelings—a blend of “this is great” and “this could be better.” However, I believe that with minor improvements in certain areas, this accommodation has great potential. I hope someday I'll have the chance to visit an improved version of "Kajukai." Thank you very much!

    I was feeling unwell and rested for the whole day, but I am very grateful for the onigiri prepared for both dinner and breakfast. The open-air bath with Onsen was incredibly relaxing. Thank you very much.

    The view of the Seto...

    The view of the Seto Inland Sea from the parking lot in front of the entrance and the lobby was excellent, and we were captivated by the scenery at sunset. The Room was spacious, very clean, and we enjoyed using the private open-air bath in our Room. Now for some disappointing points: The amenities were on par with a business hotel, and the sink was very shallow, making it difficult to use. Additionally, despite informing in advance that we would be arriving by car, there was no greeting upon check-in or reserved parking space. We almost had to park far below where the Hotel is located and walk uphill to reach it. The response at that time also felt quite indifferent. Furthermore, as we were entering through the entrance, an employee ran out from inside without any greeting and crossed right in front of us while we had to step aside—an experience that left us both surprised and questioning if this really is a four-star Hotel. However, during check-out at the lobby, one staff member was very pleasant and courteous; it made us realize there is a significant difference in staff quality between daytime and evening shifts. Although our initial impression was disappointing overall as mentioned earlier, we were highly satisfied with the beautiful views. Thank you!

    love to onsen travel

    The impression is different.

    Upon entering the Hotel, the age and musty smell of an old Onsen Ryokan were noticeable. Considering the price of the Room, I had expected a bit more, which was disappointing. Still, being fully booked must be thanks to the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage. However, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Thank you very much.

    Beautiful views of the Seto Inland Sea.

    A 2-night stay is recommended instead of just one. The Room I stayed in faced the mountains, offering a refreshing view of lush greenery. The lounge provided drinks, and from there, you could enjoy a stunning view of the sea, as well as from the large public bath. The Seto Inland Sea is truly beautiful. Even with the standard meal plan, the meat, fish, and vegetables were delicious. Although beverages are charged separately, there was a great selection of local sake, shochu, wine, and soft drinks that were all delightful. The service was attentive yet unobtrusive, making it easy to relax and enjoy your stay.

    The front desk staff...

    The front desk staff and dining service team were very pleasant. Although climbing one floor of stairs to the bath might be challenging for elderly guests, the location offered a great view, making it understandable. The face and hand soap at the sink seemed diluted and didn’t foam, but after requesting a replacement, proper foaming soap was provided—perhaps it was an error. Additionally, the hairdryer in one Room was broken and didn’t work; more thorough room cleaning checks would be beneficial. Overall, however, the hospitality was excellent and greatly appreciated.

    The accommodation offered exceptionally delicious meals!

    We drove to the accommodation, wondering if we were on the right road as we climbed higher and higher. Upon arrival, we understood everything—the rooms are located on a lower level than the front desk. However, despite being on a lower level, the view from the room was stunning. The scenery and sunsets/sunrises through the large windows were breathtaking. Above all, each dish served was incredibly delicious. Following their recommended way of enjoying each dish made it even more delightful—a truly impressive hospitality experience that makes us want to visit again! Considering the quality of the cuisine and the room's view, it offers excellent value for money. Additionally, during our meal, we were introduced to a special chili pepper seasoning that was unlike anything we've ever tasted—so flavorful and delicious! We hope you consider offering it in your gift shop. We would love to stay here again when visiting Kagawa!

    The view is spectacular.

    I stayed in a room with an open-air bath. As mentioned in the reviews, the location offered amazing views. I thought about visiting again during a different season. However, it might have just been the room I stayed in, but I could hear voices from the neighboring room late into the night, which made it hard to relax. The meals were also served one after another by staff, making it difficult to enjoy the atmosphere peacefully, which was very disappointing.

    The private open-air bath in the room was amazing!

    I traveled with my adult son and stayed here. I was initially worried after reading reviews mentioning "steep slopes," but we had no trouble arriving. The staff were polite, and the place seemed efficiently run by a small team. We had a pleasant stay. The room was smaller than I expected but spacious enough for two people. The private open-air bath was designed for one person, offering great views and separate from the shower area, which was convenient. The temperature could be adjusted freely as well. Meals were course-based, and since my son doesn't like seafood, we chose a meat-focused course; however, some dishes still included seafood that he couldn't eat. It would be nice to have more options available, but overall the food was delicious and satisfying. The free drink corner was very convenient—trying the "dashi" drink for the first time was delightful! However, drinks are unavailable after 11 PM, so bringing your own beverages might be helpful if you need something late at night. There were no yukatas in the room; luckily, I brought pajamas with me. Overall, it was a comfortable stay that left us with wonderful memories—thank you!

    I may not visit again.

    The building is old, and there are many steps, such as no elevator access to the bath. I tripped over the step between the bed and the floor when I got up to use the restroom at night, resulting in an injury that made it difficult to walk the next day. I also heard a loud noise from the neighboring room, which seemed like someone else had fallen as well. Please be cautious if you stay here. The staff were kind and attentive, which I appreciated, but unfortunately, I don't think I can return due to this experience.

    Thank you for your stay. We are glad you enjoyed spending time in the spacious renovated Room. On a cold day, the bath in the Room was very comfortable, warming you up from the core and leaving your skin smooth. However, we noticed some concerns: The filters of all hair dryers in the public bath were clogged with dust, making them unappealing to use. Additionally, the stainless steel diaper disposal container in the Room's toilet was very dirty. With more thorough cleaning, we believe your stay could have been even more relaxing.

The materials used in the renovation may have felt standard, and we will consider improving this aspect to better align with a luxury concept. The drink service on the 8th-floor front desk area is similar to that of a Business Hotel, and we acknowledge that it could be enhanced. Regarding the rooftop bath, while it was an addition, we understand that its size and limited space for hair dryers were inconvenient. The lack of an open-air bath and the overall quality of the large public bath did not meet expectations either. We also take note of your comments about amenities feeling inexpensive. While our staff's hospitality was appreciated, we regret that other aspects left a mismatched impression. As for the champagne provided as part of IKYU Diamond Member benefits, we apologize if it caused inconvenience due to no alternative being available. Considering our pricing level, we aim to provide facilities and services comparable to those offered by establishments like Marriott or EXIV Club in future improvements.     Satisfaction

    Room, meals, and service were all very satisfactory. However, the water falling into the circulation bath of the room's open-air bath was near the head of the bed, and I couldn't sleep because of the noise, so I asked the staff to stop it. It couldn't be stopped without leaving the room... Also, when reheating in the morning, it was too hot to bathe. The room, meals, and service were impeccable.

    Thank you for your hospitality during my stay. I did not have dinner as I attended a company party. When I returned around 9 PM, the parking lot in front of the building was full, so I parked by the wall. After that, I was able to relax and enjoy the Onsen. Perhaps I was looking forward to breakfast too much, as the portion of side dishes was small and seemed a bit insufficient for men. The Onsen in the room felt as pleasant as lotion, but it was inconvenient that the toilet was accessed through the changing room, making it unusable if someone was in the bath. There was a toilet outside the room, so I used that one.

    Overall, I was satisfied with my stay at the Property, but I felt there was a difference in the level of service depending on the staff. I was very satisfied during check-in and at meal times. However, unfortunately, there were also many aspects that did not meet my expectations. Additionally, I found it questionable that the register at the shop was closed during business hours, and payments could only be charged to the Room. On the other hand, the QR code pre-payment for additional charges was very convenient.

    The Room was just renovated last year and was very clean. The open-air bath in the Room was spacious with excellent spring quality, making my skin smooth! The cuisine, rich in Setouchi ingredients, was also delicious, making for a satisfying stay. Thank you very much!

    Thank you for staying one night with your family of three.

    We stayed for one night as a family for the first time. The decorations throughout the facility were very tasteful, allowing us to enjoy a pleasant stay. We appreciated having access to Wi-Fi, and enjoyed complimentary drinks while admiring the beautiful scenery. It would have been perfect if there were decaffeinated drinks available. We relished a blissful time with beautifully presented dishes in a private room for each family. The attentiveness of the staff was also wonderful. It was a comfortable trip.     It would be great if you could relax in the facility.

    There were not many luxurious Ryokan or Hotel options in Takamatsu City, but this place is wonderful with its reasonable pricing and rooms featuring open-air baths. Dinner and breakfast are served at the venue. I was quite satisfied, though it was a bit disappointing that check-in was at night, which didn't allow for a leisurely stay. I regretted not arriving in Takamatsu earlier to check in. Overall, I was satisfied with the quality that exceeded the price.

    Open-air bath

    Flowers bloomed beautifully on both sides of the steep slope, providing a soothing view. From the room, you could clearly see the Seto Inland Sea and Yashima in Takamatsu City. Upon arrival, the open-air bath was filled with onsen water, and it was available all night, which was very nice. The amenities were well-equipped, and the label "Hime-sama" made the 77-year-old princess chuckle. The panoramic bath on the top floor offered a breathtaking view of the cityscape and the Seto Inland Sea, and the quality of the onsen water was excellent, perfect for my sensitive skin. Dinner was satisfying with a variety of menus, and breakfast was delicious as well. All the staff members were courteous, making our stay comfortable and secure. I definitely want to come back for the onsen again. As for the review about the elevator, it didn't bother us at all.

    The cuisine and Onsen are exceptional.

    The food was delicious, and the Onsen's water quality was smooth and excellent. Since it was a stop during our trip, we chose a small room, but having a folding stand for luggage would have been helpful. The sparkling wine from Kajukai, offered as a Diamond Member benefit, was also very tasty. Thank you for your hospitality. We look forward to staying more leisurely next time.

    Room with Open-Air Rock Bath

    The room had an open-air bath, but being on the first floor, it was close to a residential road and on a slope, so I was worried that it might be visible to pedestrians. I felt it could be improved a bit more. Other than that, it was a nice hotel, conveniently located near the station, and the food was delicious.

    A luxurious experience to enjoy the view from the Room and exquisite cuisine.

    From the spacious room, we enjoyed a luxurious view of the islands of the Seto Inland Sea and the nightscape of Takamatsu city. The weather was perfect—not too hot or cold—allowing us to relax in the private onsen or sip tea on the balcony while admiring the scenery. The seafood from Seto Inland was exceptionally delicious for someone from Kanto, and we ended up indulging more than usual during both dinner and breakfast. It was a very nice room, and although not inexpensive, it felt reasonable considering that a similar room in Hakone might cost twice as much. The design and furnishings of the room were sleekly arranged, reflecting a clear designer's concept. However, there was a step in the bedroom area near the bed where I stumbled several times. While fluorescent tape had been applied to this step as part of safety measures by the hotel, I believe it would be safer to have an even floor surface for placing beds to prioritize safety.
