    Room: The Room was spotless, and the moment we entered, we had a wonderful view with the sea and horizon clearly visible. Service: We enjoyed pleasant conversations about Akita Prefecture during our meals. Bath: There was no large public bath, but there were separate men’s and women’s baths, an open-air bath, and a private bath (free of charge). Everything was clean and very nice. Meals: Both dinner and breakfast were served as many small dishes, beautifully presented. Dinner came with Akitakomachi rice, and breakfast with Sakihokore rice—both delicious, and we were very satisfied.

    The highlight is the exceptional quality of the hot spring water!

    My first time on the Oga Peninsula. I was lucky to find such a wonderful Accommodation, and it made my summer memories even more special. I was completely satisfied with everything—the Room, the view, the meals, and the Onsen—but the quality of the Onsen water was especially outstanding. My partner tends to get facial redness from inflammation, and in summer it gets worse, possibly due to UV exposure. After soaking in the Onsen, the redness eased significantly, which made them very happy—they kept using the bath in our Room and even soaked their face repeatedly. If I could add just one request: my partner loves ice cream and tends to prefer Accommodations that offer it as a way to cool down after an Onsen bath. We would have been happy if there had been a small selection of ice cream available in the lounge. Next time, I’d like to visit in a different season.

    It was the best accommodation.

    Perched on a hill just near Oga Aquarium GAO, this Accommodation boasts an outstanding location with views of the Sea of Japan even from the Room. Despite the bad weather, we were lucky enough to catch the sunset. The Room, meals, Onsen, and service were all flawless—truly a top-class Accommodation. We’d love to return in a different season.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    This was our family’s first trip to Akita. We visited the Oga Peninsula, which I’d been curious about for a long time. Lately there have been many news reports about bear sightings, so we were a bit concerned, but we didn’t encounter any (thankfully). Instead, we went to a nearby aquarium to see the polar bears. The Accommodation was very clean, and our Room felt quiet and comfortable—perhaps because it was separated from the neighboring Room by the hallway. The food was delicious, and we felt happily full. The red snow crab was especially amazing! We were also able to spend such a relaxing time. When we left, you kept waving until we were out of sight, which made us very happy. Work has been busy lately and I’d been feeling tense, but during this stay I stopped worrying about work altogether. Thank you very much.

    It was quiet and relaxing.

    The person who came to pick me up at the station kindly said, “If you’re not too tired, the proprietress asked me to show you along the seaside street—would you like that?” I felt excited from the moment I got on the Shuttle Service bus. The calm atmosphere inside the inn also reflected the proprietress’s excellent taste in every detail. Even without a large public bath, I was able to enjoy both the private bath and the shared bath on my own and relax at my own pace—and everything was always spotless. The meals were delicious as well, and I was completely full. The next day, I had planned to walk to the aquarium, but they kindly drove me there, which was a big help. From the aquarium, I used the Namahage Shuttle. I couldn’t find those displayed Akita dog plush toys for sale anywhere, so I wasn’t able to buy one—that was my only disappointment. I’m looking forward to receiving the Namahage plush toy I ordered.

    A wonderful Accommodation where you can forget everyday life

    This Accommodation is wonderful in every way—Room, meals, Onsen, everything. A new, spotless Room filled with the scent of wood. The sunset views from the Room and dining area are also stunning—you’ll lose track of time. The in-room Onsen is spacious enough for about three people to bathe at once; with the windows wide open it feels wonderfully open-air, and you could stay in forever. The private open-air bath can also be used as much as you like for free when it’s available! Even though the Room had its own bath, I ended up using the private bath twice (lol). And above all, the food is absolutely delicious! The 16 kinds of appetizers are exceptional—each one brings out the natural flavors of the ingredients, and you can tell they’re carefully prepared. It was also great to be able to enjoy different rice varieties—“Akitakomachi” and “Sakihokore”—at dinner and breakfast. Perhaps because it wasn’t busy on the day we stayed, they even allowed a later checkout time, so we could relax and truly forget everyday life. A highly recommended Accommodation that I’d love to visit again and again!

    I have stayed at various Accommodations throughout The whole country, but this was an experience unlike any I’ve had before. What impressed me most was the thoughtful setting that encourages meaningful conversation and lets you truly savor your meals. That spirit of hospitality is shared by all the staff, and I could feel it in every detail throughout my stay. The decor is simple and not flashy, yet it leaves you feeling deeply fulfilled. The cuisine, the quality of the Onsen water, the views, the room, and the staff’s service—everything was impeccable. It was truly a superb experience. This is not just a luxury Accommodation; it’s an Accommodation for adults who understand what true luxury really means.

    This is a wonderful accommodation!

    I stayed here during a trip to the Oga Peninsula, and it was a truly wonderful stay that far exceeded my expectations. The interior, the Onsen, the views, and the hospitality—everything was outstanding and deeply moving. The cuisine in particular was exceptional. Using an abundance of ingredients from Oga and Akita, each dish from the appetizers onward reflected the chef’s dedication and meticulous craftsmanship. From fresh locally caught sashimi to incredibly tender beef fillet, perfectly grilled black cod, and delicious white rice worthy of Akita’s reputation as a rice region—every dish was unforgettable. Everything was so delicious that I can’t possibly describe it all. I was impressed by the chef’s superb skill and thoughtful care. The proprietress also had a wonderfully charming personality. Warm and approachable yet full of attentive consideration, she made it feel as though her spirit of hospitality reached every corner of the Accommodation. The meadow garden she lovingly tends was also magnificent. Walking outside felt like being in an open meadow, and I was able to spend a relaxing time while feeling the sea breeze. The beautiful scenery in harmony with nature is another major appeal unique to this Accommodation. The staff’s hospitality was excellent as well, making my entire stay comfortable from start to finish. This is one of the most memorable Accommodations I have ever stayed at. When I visit Oga again, I would love to return. Thank you for such a lasting experience.

    I stayed here with my elderly parents. Our stay was extremely satisfying, just as the Reviews said. The space is simple yet very stylish, with warm hospitality—and delicious meals.     Our first visit to the Oga Peninsula. My spouse and I have traveled to many places, but discovering this wonderful Ryokan made for an unforgettable, truly enjoyable stay. The water quality of the open-air bath in our Room was excellent, and soaking while gazing up at a sky full of stars was exceptional! The meal portions were just right, and we fully enjoyed the luxury of savoring seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. Both the mountain and sea delicacies were outstanding, and pairing them with Akita’s local sake was perfect. We were also touched by the thoughtful gesture of serving different varieties of rice in a pot for dinner and breakfast! It was a trip that made us promise to return to Teisui.

    Wonderful

    Not only were the views wonderful, but the Accommodation was also very clean, the meals were delicious, and everything was excellent. I would definitely like to stay again. Personally, I was especially impressed by the breakfast, where I could enjoy many delicious dishes in small portions along with tasty white rice. I truly enjoyed the flavors of Akita and Oga. The Onsen was also very relaxing. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

    Akita is beautiful.

    I planned my trip dreaming of seeing the cherry blossoms in Kakunodate, but they started blooming early this year and had already fallen by the time of my visit. It was disappointing, but thanks to the nature of the Oga Peninsula and everyone on the Teisui staff, it turned into a wonderful trip. I was very satisfied with the stunning views from the Hotel and the delicious food. I also felt unexpectedly lucky to meet a baby polar bear at GAO Aquarium. I’m glad I discovered what a lovely place Akita is. Thank you all very much.

    We stayed at the Ryo...

    We stayed at the Ryokan “Teisui” in Oga, Akita Prefecture for a company trip. The property had a calm atmosphere and was very clean, allowing us to relax from the moment we arrived. The meals featured plenty of local ingredients, and every dish was carefully prepared and delicious. The seafood in particular was very fresh, letting us fully enjoy what makes Oga special. All of the staff were extremely courteous and attentive, and we felt comfortable throughout our stay. Even though we were a large group, everything was handled smoothly, for which we are very grateful. The Onsen was also wonderfully relaxing and helped us unwind from everyday fatigue. We would love to stay again if we have the opportunity.

    This Accommodation offers beautiful scenery!

    Because it was ranked “2nd in Reviews in Tohoku,” we stayed here during our trip to Akita. The Room and Onsen were good, but the amenities, the hair dryer, and above all the meals were not very satisfying. Everyone has different tastes, and there are many different Reviews! Since it’s not an easy place to visit often, it was a bit disappointing. However, the proprietress and staff provided excellent service!

    I felt a strong sense of unity.

    Perhaps because we had stayed the previous night at an old folk-house-style Accommodation with a bath in Kakunodate, we felt a sense of space, brightness, and excitement as soon as we arrived. Was it the owner’s training? We strongly felt the staff’s unity. You don’t often feel that kind of togetherness!

    The facilities weren’t luxurious, but they were calm and clean. I would have liked a sauna in the large public bath, but I was satisfied with the open-air bath in my Room. The meals were carefully prepared and delicious. The rice was especially good—just what you’d expect from Akita. I was also able to watch the sunset, so I was very satisfied.

    On my first trip to Akita, I stayed at “Teisui.” The extraordinary setting and top-tier hospitality exceeded my expectations, allowing me to truly relax and enjoy a special time away from everyday life. I stayed in a spacious Room with an open-air bath. What stood out most was the full-glass sliding door separating the outdoors from the bath area—soaking while taking in a panoramic view of the Sea of Japan was simply unforgettable. The sea’s ever-changing beauty throughout the day was breathtaking, and being able to enjoy the Onsen in complete privacy without worrying about other guests felt like a uniquely blissful experience at “Teisui.” The dining was also highly satisfying. Both dinner and breakfast featured kaiseki cuisine made with an abundance of Akita’s seasonal seafood and mountain ingredients. Fresh local produce was beautifully presented, making each meal a delight for both the eyes and palate. In particular, I was impressed by their exceptional attention to rice: they intentionally served different varieties at dinner and breakfast. It truly reflected Akita’s reputation as a premier rice region, and I could feel the thoughtful hospitality in every detail. Thank you for providing such attentive and comfortable service from check-in to check-out. The staff’s warm smiles, considerate care, and clear explanations of each dish were professional yet welcoming, with a comforting sense of warmth throughout. The views, Room, meals, and service were all outstanding—this was an Onsen trip I couldn’t have been happier with. I would love to return again.

    Dream Accommodation

    I had long dreamed of visiting Teisui. The weather wasn’t great, so I couldn’t see the famous sunset, but the snow falling over the sea had its own charm. The breathtaking views from the lobby and my Room were incredible—I never got tired of them. The Room was spotless and very comfortable, and the open-air bath with an ocean view was simply amazing. Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious, far beyond my expectations—and the white rice was outstanding. I also appreciated that they made onigiri from the rice I couldn’t finish. At breakfast, I enjoyed more white rice with a variety of accompaniments, and it was wonderful that seating was arranged to face the sea. With such warm hospitality from all the staff—including those who provided Shuttle Service and guided me to my Room—I would love to return. I will never forget seeing the proprietress waving until we were out of sight. Thank you for a truly wonderful time.

    It was incredibly relaxing.

    The beautiful scenery, delicious cuisine, scenic open-air bath, and warm hospitality were incredibly soothing and truly moving!! From our Room we could see the ocean, with nothing blocking the view—an amazing景色. It was dark at night, but in the morning the view was wonderful and we really felt close to nature. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared with great attention to detail; everything looked beautiful and tasted fantastic! There were also some unique dishes, so we enjoyed every moment. We were also happy to find delicious sake. The photos are just a small selection! There was a wide variety, and we were very satisfied. The Onsen includes separate women’s/men’s baths as well as private baths. We used the women’s bath at night and the in-Room open-air bath in the morning. The amenities were plentiful, and I personally loved that the hair dryer had strong airflow—definitely a big plus for me! The morning in-Room open-air bath was absolutely amazing: soaking in an Onsen at just the right temperature while looking out over the ocean made us so happy. We also appreciated being able to connect streaming services like Netflix on the TV in our Room. After bathing, we bought drinks at the shop and relaxed while watching dramas—it was wonderfully calming. Honestly, it was such a blissful place that we didn’t want to leave, and we’d love to come back again soon. Thank you very much for your outstanding hospitality!

    I visited during an exceptionally cold spell that happens once in a decade. Due to the weather, there was concern that the Oga Line might stop on my departure day. The staff kindly looked up bus options to Akita Station and even prepared to drive me to the bus departure point (though in the end, the Oga Line operated on schedule). Since I had to return to Tokyo that same day, their support gave me great peace of mind. The best feature of this accommodation is its location. Situated on a small hill near the sea, it offers stunning views of the horizon. I stayed in a room with an open-air bath, which also provided excellent ocean views. Unfortunately, I couldn’t see the sunset due to cloudy weather, but it would have been spectacular if visible. As for meals, dinner was delightful—featuring Yurigyu fillet steak and sashimi (cold yellowtail and botan shrimp), both incredibly delicious. The white rice was outstandingly tasty as expected from a renowned rice-producing region. The selection of sake was impressive and reasonably priced as well. However, breakfast left less of an impression; while the white rice and miso soup were excellent, other side dishes were not particularly memorable—so I rated meals slightly lower overall. The room’s bath uses 100% natural hot spring water with reddish-brown hues that seemed very therapeutic. The size of the tub and water temperature were perfect for relaxing at leisure. The room itself was clean with comfortable beds and a cozy living area sofa. The staff were friendly and attentive; chatting with them added warmth to my stay amidst harsh weather conditions.     Located on a hill overlooking the Sea of Japan, the view is spectacular. The private open-air bath offers particularly stunning scenery. The Room's open-air bath is designed with an inner terrace, so it stays warm when closed during this season, and when opened while bathing, you can enjoy the refreshing breeze and beautiful view.     Although Akita Prefe...

    Although Akita Prefecture may have concerns about bears, the Oga Peninsula seems relatively safer based on online information. This accommodation offers excellent onsen in the guest rooms and provides a unique experience with the rough waves of the Sea of Japan right before your eyes. The staff are doing their best, and even if there are no towels in the large public bath or beer available in the lounge, these can be overlooked. However, I would like to see more effort put into improving the cuisine. The facility and onsen are excellent, which raises expectations even higher. While the appetizers at dinner were visually delightful and the abalone was tender and delicious, I found that the sashimi did not meet my expectations. Additionally, it would be better if breakfast items like rolled omelets and fish were served warm. I believe this accommodation has great potential and look forward to its future improvements.

    I'm so glad I stayed here.

    I stayed for a multiple night stay. The quality of the radon onsen in the room was excellent. Watching the sunset over the horizon of the Sea of Japan at Unosaki Coast was breathtaking. From within the accommodation's premises, I enjoyed views of the Milky Way and countless stars. The delicious meals and rice were served in just the right portions. It was a peaceful and quiet accommodation where I could completely forget about the hustle and bustle of city life for three days.
