    I stayed here for my...

    I stayed here for my wife's birthday. The shuttle service to Shimoda Station (with a Mercedes-Benz S-Class) was an extraordinary experience. We stayed on a Sunday, and by chance, we had the accommodation all to ourselves. Dinner was focused on local ingredients and was absolutely delicious. Breakfast was hearty, and we enjoyed it at a leisurely pace. The staff responded kindly to all our inquiries, making our stay peaceful and filled with happiness. We would love to visit again in different seasons in the future. Also, thank you for preparing a birthday gift for my wife!

    It is a challenging accommodation to evaluate.

    The view is absolutely stunning, and the room offers a great sense of openness. The towels are maintained at an excellent level, leaving a positive impression. Overall, the view is undeniably perfect. However, I found the meals a bit disappointing. While some guests have commented that they enjoyed the food, it might not have suited my taste. There were also moments during customer service that made me question their approach. Considering the meals and service quality, I feel that the price is too high and not justified. However, with such an amazing view, perhaps it's worth it just for that. For the view alone, this accommodation is definitely worth revisiting.

    Because everything is well taken care of, there may be some things that catch your attention.

    The location is perfect and the view from the rooms is excellent. Facility maintenance is well taken care of. The customer service is also wonderful. Staff uniform fitting → If worn in just the right size, I think their demeanor would be even more refined. Aging in small areas → The cleaning level is high and basically everything shines, but I think the balcony glass could be perfect with just a little more effort. Overall, the level is high so you can be satisfied. Highly recommended.

    The view is amazing, but the meals and sauna are disappointing.

    The view was wonderful, the rooms were comfortable, and the staff provided pleasant service. The on-the-beach location with a pool would be even more enjoyable in summer. Unfortunately, the meals and sauna were disappointing. Compared to properties of similar price, both dinner and breakfast fell short. In particular, I was looking forward to the bouillabaisse because it was Izu Shimoda, but it was too fishy to eat. As for the sauna, perhaps it is designed for summer use as you have to change into swimwear and go outside once; this made it inconvenient in winter. The low temperature was also disappointing. If these areas are improved, this would definitely be a property I'd like to visit again.

    This was my first visit. The view is excellent, and the sea is so close that you can hear the sound of the waves from the Room, making it pleasant to wake up in the morning. If you wake up early, you might be able to see the sunrise from the coastline in winter. As others have noted, it was a bit disappointing that some windows were dirty. Also, when I called the lobby at night (around 10 o'clock), it took some time for someone to answer. Other than that, it was a very nice place!

    The owner's birthday

    I visited Rakuyou shortly after it opened. My husband expressed a desire to visit again. The meals were as delicious and satisfying as ever. The room had a great view, and we had a pleasant stay. However, I was a bit concerned about the wear and tear, such as the dirt on the single-pane glass and the green mold or moss in the bathroom. The staff were pleasant, and they even celebrated my birthday and gave me flowers, for which I am grateful. It was a satisfying trip. However, it was extremely hot, so next time, I would like to visit in winter.
