It was highly rated, but...
I visited because of the high reviews, but I couldn't understand what was rated highly. The variety of dishes for the price was not extensive, and good ingredients were wasted by being turned into soup. The final rice dish with dried baby sardines and pickles felt sparse. The vegetables in the Acqua Pazza were too hard to chew. Breakfast, as mentioned in other reviews, consisted mostly of pre-made items. What bothered me most was that during meals, staff wandered around looking sideways and immediately cleared empty plates; they even tried to take away untouched items, which completely ruined the experience for me. I gave up on enjoying alcohol here altogether. Additionally, I was surprised that adding soda water to a shochu drink incurred an extra charge. The toilet in the room had weak water pressure and wouldn't refill immediately after flushing—very inconvenient. As for the bath area, it was slippery enough to make me question whether it had been cleaned properly. The dining area needs improvement—it should have partitions or be designed as a more relaxing space where guests can enjoy their meals comfortably. The sunset view was beautiful though—that's one thing worth mentioning positively.

Open-air Bath in the Special Room
I stayed in a special room and used the open-air bath, but the view felt obstructed by the trees. It would be even better if this could be improved, so I am leaving this comment.

Hospitality
Delicious dishes were served in small portions with a variety, making it perfect even for seniors to enjoy without leaving any food behind. The lively conversations with the staff made the dining experience even more enjoyable. As someone from a generation that values hospitality above all, I truly appreciated the excellent service. The sunset was not visible.
I was looking forward to enjoying the sunset in the lounge, but unfortunately, it was obscured by yellow dust. The hot water was great, and although the Room's air conditioner wasn't working initially, it was quickly replaced, allowing for a comfortable stay. I had seen the famous hostess on Instagram and was excited to meet her, but I didn’t get a chance to see her from check-in to check-out, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, I had a relaxing time and would love to visit again in a different season.

Two keys are guaranteed!
Overall, it was good, but as others have mentioned, having only one key might not be ideal nowadays. Wouldn't it be necessary for families or couples, except for solo travelers? The Room was nicely divided into a bedroom and a living room, but since it's a Japanese-style room, it might be challenging for elderly guests. The sunset in the evening matched perfectly with the welcome drink and offered a great view.

I was concerned about the parking situation, as the hotel staff might move vehicles using the keys left at the front desk due to limited parking space. I reluctantly handed over my keys, but it didn’t feel comfortable. Additionally, there was no table in the room, which felt inconvenient when I wanted to relax and have a drink. Other than these issues, I think it is an average accommodation.

Healing
I stayed with my daughter at the Property. Enjoying the welcome wine while watching the sunset and being able to choose a cute yukata was wonderful. The dinner, which included rare deep-sea fish dishes, was delicious. I was able to relax completely and felt rejuvenated both physically and mentally. I would love to stay again if I have the chance!

A heartwarming Property
I chose this Property because of its reputation for excellent meals. As expected from the most highly-rated Onsen in Toda for its cuisine, the feast was truly exceptional. The fresh and luxurious sashimi, grilled abalone, and hot pot were all incredibly delicious, and the appetizers and steamed dishes were equally satisfying. Additionally, I was able to request half a portion of the famous Japanese spider crab upon check-in on the day of arrival. The view from the Room was lovely, and I believe it would have been perfect on a clear day. To be honest, the building and Facility felt a bit dated, but I could see the effort to update and improve for greater comfort. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made the stay a pleasant one with their warm hospitality. One suggestion would be to address the lack of handrails in the large public bath as soon as possible to enhance safety. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Upgrading meals is recommended.
I felt it was a pretty good Stays. The meal in the standard Plan felt somewhat lacking, so I recommend upgrading. I should have ordered the high-legged crab!

A homey Hotel
All the staff were very kind. The Room was spacious and clean, and I was very satisfied. I couldn't tell what the main dish was, but the rice was delicious. However, the bath was small. There were only about four washing areas, and the open-air bath? was also small. Considering the total number of rooms, it might be unavoidable. Also, I recommend the Morokuchi Shrine nearby. The sea is blue and clear. If the weather is good, you can see Mt. Fuji in the background.

A Ryokan in Nishi-Izu where you can see a very beautiful sunset
This Ryokan offers a stunning view of the sunset. Just for this, I feel it was worth staying here. A short walk from the Ryokan leads to a beautiful sea, and the location is very satisfying. The building and Facility itself are not new, but everything is well-maintained and clean, so there are no complaints. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The staff members are all friendly and greet you with a smile. During meals, several Asian women attended to us, and they seemed to be diligently studying Japanese and customer service, so there were no issues or problems at all. I think this is a very good Ryokan, and if I have the chance, I would like to visit again.

The sunset is beautiful.
The arrival coincided with the sunset, offering a spectacular view. While the overall facilities show some age, they are well-maintained and cleanliness is not an issue. Cost-Effective Hotel
We attract guests with affordable accommodation fees and unique services, but the aging facilities cannot be overlooked. Having a smoking room in this day and age, let alone in the lounge, is unpleasant. The water pressure in the shower at the bath was low, with limited washing areas, so I left quickly. The water pressure in the room's shower was even lower. Additionally, while it seems that staff serving meals are trained, they came to clear dishes before I had finished eating, making it hard to enjoy a relaxed meal. Overall, considering the cost-performance ratio, it is understandable.

It was a very enjoya...
It was a very enjoyable trip. We arrived early, but we were allowed to check in. The welcome wine service was wonderful, with sunset-colored wine while watching the sunset. The Hotel staff were all kind and the food was delicious. The setting full moon seen from the Room in the morning was fantastic. I would like to visit again.

The view was nice as...
The view was nice as it was close to the sea, but unfortunately, it was not at an angle where Mount Fuji could be seen. The open-air bath attached to the Room had poor temperature control, and before I knew it, it had turned into water. The Japanese spider crab was large and good, but the prior communication from the front desk was unkind. It would have been nice to have benefits for Diamond members, such as late check-out.

The view was great.
The view of the sea right in front was beautiful. The Room was spacious, allowing for a relaxing stay. The meals were plentiful and delicious, and I was very satisfied. However, one disappointing aspect was the dining area. It was a large hall where we sat at tables, but I felt uneasy as I could clearly see the faces of people from other Rooms. I wished there were at least some partitions between the tables.

The worst
I stayed with No Meals Included. First, the only enjoyment was the view from the room, but the window was dirty and hard to see through. I was told that meals couldn't be prepared because there were no seats available (this is still acceptable). The view from the open-air bath in the men's large bath was hardly visible. What is the purpose of the open-air bath? I went on an expensive day at the end of the year, but it was disappointing.

It was a wonderful anniversary.
We stayed at the property for our wedding anniversary trip. The room was clean and spacious, with a separate bedroom, allowing us to relax comfortably. We were provided with a corner room on the top floor, offering not only a view of Suruga Bay but also a magnificent view of Mount Fuji. The meals allowed us to enjoy a variety of local seafood, and the portions were satisfying. Thank you for preparing a wonderful surprise for us as well. The staff were kind and friendly, making us feel very warm, and it became a memorable trip. We would love to use this property again when we visit Heda.

A property where you can relax
We stayed in November as a mother and daughter. The price was reasonable, so we didn't expect much, but it was amazing! The room was clean with a nice view, and the food felt carefully prepared dish by dish. Although it was a plan with a smaller portion, we were full. It was very delicious. The room amenities were also good, with a sturdy brush and even socks included. As mentioned in other comments, there are many foreign staff, but they were very pleasant. In the dining area, a dandy staff member provided kind service, which was nice. The bath was also kept clean, but the fluorescent lighting gave a Showa era feel. I thought a warmer color might create a better atmosphere. Although Nishi-Izu has few tourist resources, just staying at this hotel is satisfying enough. I would like to visit again.

The meals and the Room are very satisfying!
I was looking for a place to eat delicious food, and since the reviews were good, I made a reservation here. As the reputation suggested, I was impressed by the dishes that fully utilized the carefully selected ingredients! The rice was also delicious, and even the child who usually doesn't ask for seconds did so. If I had to say, it would be nice if the dessert was a bit more elaborate. The room was spacious and comfortable!! It was nice to spend time quietly. If I have another opportunity, I would definitely like to stay here again.

Mold in the bathroom
There was quite a bit of mold in the bathroom, especially on the chair and washbasin. The freezer for ice in the lounge also had noticeable mold, so I hope the cleaning can be improved. Other than that, there were no particularly bad points and I was satisfied.

I arrived a little later than planned, but I just made it in time to see the sunset from the lounge. The sunset was wonderful. Despite the reasonable price, both dinner and breakfast were satisfying. All the staff were kind, and I had a pleasant time. The only disappointment was that I couldn't use the open-air bath in the Room due to strong winds. I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

Satisfied with the cuisine of Nishi-Izu.
The staff's hospitality and the cuisine were excellent. The view from the room was also very good, extending all the way to the vicinity of Shizuoka City on the opposite shore. Unfortunately, the sunset could not be fully seen from the room, but I was satisfied as I could see it clearly when I went down to the beach. It was a trip where I was satisfied with the beauty of nature and the cuisine.

The food was very delicious.
The abalone, Ise lobster, sashimi, beef, and matsutake mushrooms were all luxurious ingredients, and all the dishes, including the dessert, were very delicious. The Room was spacious, and the view of the sea from the large window was very beautiful. The point discount was very advantageous and appreciated. I would like to stay again. There are several places nearby where you can see Mt. Fuji, so I hope to visit on a day with good weather next time.

It was hospitality that made me want to come again.
I went to Izu for the first time on a weekend in October. Koyoi-san, with a homely atmosphere, provided a reassuring start from the reception. The room had a rock bath, but unfortunately, I didn't have time to use it as I went to the large public bath three times. I wanted to try it while enjoying the view. The large public bath is equipped with makeup remover, facial soap, and cream. Of course, there are also shampoos. After the bath, I enjoyed a welcome drink with wine. The abalone at dinner was large, tender, and delicious. The other menu items were also in appropriate portions and tasted good, but... The only concern was the timing of the staff clearing the dishes. They tried to clear the dishes before I finished, which might make some guests feel a bit uncomfortable. It's a pity that the evaluation might drop there, considering the otherwise meticulous service. Really, everything else was excellent at this property. They took many photos for us on our way back. For those staying at Koyoi-san, a morning walk is highly recommended. If you leave at 6 o'clock, you can admire the beautiful sunrise from Heda Port. I understand why Hiroyuki Ehara recommends it. I would like to stay there again someday.

I was able to relax.
There was a discount for online payment, so I was able to stay at a very good price. I made a last-minute reservation the day before, but overall, I am very satisfied. The cocktail wine we had in the lounge was said to resemble the sunset, and it was beautiful. The dinner was also beautifully presented and delicious. Both the abalone and sashimi were satisfying. We stayed in a room with a view bath, but it was a bit disappointing that the bath in the room was not a hot spring. Well, I knew this before going, though... The inn was charmingly decorated with hearts scattered everywhere. It's a bit far, but I would like to visit again if I have the chance.
