    It was a luxurious experience.

    The staff's warm and pleasant service made me feel truly valued as a guest. I noticed that my car was clean upon departure, and I wondered if it had even been washed—what a delightful surprise! Thank you so much for such a wonderful and heartwarming experience.

    Attention to detail is impeccable.

    It was a truly wonderful accommodation, living up to its reputation. I visited Shiobara Onsen for the first time because I wanted to stay at Yunohanaso. Living in a prefecture rich in onsen, I had never ventured to neighboring prefectures, but I’m so glad I came here. The warm hospitality could be felt everywhere, and I even experienced unique services that I had never encountered before. Rather than describing them here, I encourage you to visit and experience it yourself. I will definitely return again!

    The Onsen was absolu...

    The Onsen was absolutely satisfying, and my skin felt smooth. If I had one suggestion, it would be that the breakfast had too many dishes and was too salty. A simple breakfast highlighting the natural flavors of the ingredients would have been better. The udon served at the end of dinner was also too firm to chew, which was a bit disappointing.

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    Yunohana-so was a wonderful accommodation that provided a very relaxing experience. All the staff were welcoming and attentive, the room was clean and comfortable, and the view from the window was beautiful, allowing us to unwind from daily fatigue. We were looking forward to enjoying the private open-air bath, but we also thoroughly enjoyed the large public bath and in-room open-air bath. The thoughtful details combined with breathtaking views made everything perfect. Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. Thank you for your kind hospitality until the very end. It became a memorable trip for us as a couple. We look forward to visiting again!

    This is my second st...

    This is my second stay this year. I arrived early, but I was warmly welcomed. The private bath was very relaxing while listening to the sound of the river. The meals, including salt-grilled sweetfish and sashimi of char, were absolutely delicious. Thank you always for making my stay so pleasant.

    Timeless yet ever-changing

    Traditional Onsen Ryokan. While retaining nostalgic features (such as banquet halls), it feels like it has adapted to modern times. It's easy to see why many guests choose to return. ◯ Location Situated along a river, the atmosphere is delightful. It is not in an onsen town, so it's very quiet. ◯ Facility The rooms have been renovated and are clean and beautiful. Due to a cancellation, our room was upgraded, which was very satisfying. We appreciated the privacy as we did not encounter other guests during our stay. ◯ Bath (Natural Hot Spring) The morning private room bath was spacious and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the open-air bath had already closed by the time we wanted to use it after breakfast. ◯ Cuisine Both quality and quantity were excellent. The hospitality was outstanding, making dining a pleasant experience. The fluffy texture and sweetness of the chef's tamagoyaki at breakfast left a lasting impression. ◯ Requests (Pre-arrival Communication) I emailed about reserving amenities but was told I needed to call for confirmation of the reservation. When I called, I was asked about meal preferences; however, it was difficult to answer immediately over the phone. If necessary details could be communicated in advance via a form or similar method, responses would likely be smoother and more efficient.

    Truly all-inclusive.

    The cuisine, the bath, the attentive service of the staff, the cleanliness of the Room, and even the small amenities—everything was exceptional. In particular, the attendant assigned to our Room was warm and wonderful, taking care of us in every way possible. The large public bath had just been renovated and was very clean. The Room was also comfortable, making one night feel too short to fully enjoy it. The monthly changing menu featured an abundance of seasonal premium ingredients. We enjoyed each dish while eagerly anticipating what would come next. The dishes were elaborate yet highlighted the quality of their ingredients perfectly; we are already looking forward to visiting again in a different season. It seems there are many repeat guests who return specifically for the cuisine. Even though it was early September with lingering summer heat, this stay provided a brief but much-needed respite for my spouse and me. Thank you so much!

    Both the Onsen and meals were excellent.

    Both the room bath and the private bath were excellent. The private bath, in particular, was the best I've ever experienced. The meals were delicious, making it a place I definitely want to visit again.

    Exceptional hospitality

    The accommodation provided exceptional hospitality, with the hostess and staff offering impeccable service. While the building structure appears to be quite old, it has been thoroughly renovated. In the lounge, beverages are available at any time, and I appreciated the high-quality ceramics used. It was also a nice touch that they were stored in low chest drawers. The furniture, including stands with stained glass accents, had a calming aesthetic that I really liked. Dinner was delicious but a bit too much for us in terms of portion size; we felt quite full by the end. It would have been better if the palate-cleansing sorbet and dessert were served in smaller portions. Overall, having an option for reduced portions tailored to seniors would be appreciated. Additionally, I noticed spider webs in the gaps of the lattice covering near the smoke vent window in the lobby. It might be good to include this area during cleaning since it is noticeable when looking up while enjoying tea upon arrival.

    I was able to relax and unwind this time as well.

    I had always dreamed of staying at this accommodation, and I couldn't forget the food, room, and hospitality from my first visit. This time, I returned in a different season. Once again, I was able to relax deeply and rejuvenate both my mind and body! I look forward to visiting again in another season.

    Excellent

    I stayed in a room with an open-air bath. The view of the stream, the hospitality at the lobby lounge, the delicious seasonal cuisine, and the staff's excellent service were all outstanding and left me completely satisfied. I was able to spend a relaxing time with my family. In the well-maintained changing room of the large public bath, there were plenty of replacement foot mats available with a note saying, "Feel free to use them. From: Onsen Lovers," which warmed my heart. If the beds and pillows in the guest rooms are updated, this accommodation would become even more exceptional.

    It was a comfortable stay.

    The room was clean, the view from the window was great, and the amenities were well-prepared for a comfortable stay. The staff's courteous service was almost overwhelming in its attentiveness. The drink service in the room and lounge was thoughtful, leaving an impression of utmost hospitality. The hot water quality was excellent, and the food was delicious. However, it was a bit disappointing that the open-air bath wasn't freely accessible. Additionally, while the meals were tasty, the portions were quite large and felt wasteful as we couldn't finish everything. I truly admired the accommodation's delicate attention to detail.

    Exceptional Hospitality

    It was an excellent accommodation with great attention to detail. Even spare bath mats were provided in the large public bath, solving the issue of stepping on a wet mat after bathing. The staff's service had just the right balance of attentiveness and distance. I would love to visit again!

    The service is excellent, but other aspects do not justify the price.

    This highly-rated accommodation was a place I had wanted to visit for some time, so this was my first stay. First, regarding customer service, it is evident that the staff take pride in their work, which I highly appreciate. However, the room I stayed in had a shower room type, and the shower space was far too small. It does not justify the price. As for meals, while there seems to be attention to detail, they cannot be described as delicious. The sashimi lacked freshness and was thinly sliced; overall, there was no sense of luxury in the dishes. The lounge service is commendable—it offered not only drinks but also ice cream. While there are positive aspects, overall I have decided that it is not worth revisiting this accommodation.

    Enjoy a comfortable stay with excellent cuisine and service!

    I chose to stay here for the first time because of the high Review ratings on IKYU.com. As expected, it was an excellent Accommodation. The cuisine and the hospitality of the staff were outstanding. The appetizer at dinner, "Fresh Sea Urchin with Sanbaizu Jelly," and the beautifully presented starters raised my expectations for the following dishes. Especially, the Turban Shell with Kinome Miso among the starters was exquisite, and the Sardine Meatball Soup was by far the best I have ever had. Breakfast was also delicious. The staff were all polite and pleasant, making my stay very comfortable. In particular, a female staff member who served us during dinner kindly explained everything to my 95-year-old mother with hearing difficulties, allowing her to enjoy her meal as well. The quality of Onsen water was excellent as well; I would love to revisit this Accommodation again!

    It was excellent.

    I chose to stay here because the reviews on IKYU were positive, and it also left a good impression on YouTube. As a result, I was very satisfied with my stay. I also enjoyed Nasu-Shiobara more than I had imagined (the bread was delicious). I stayed in a room with an open-air bath, and I think the price matched the quality provided. If the room were slightly larger, I would have rated it 5 stars instead of 4 (actually 4.5). However, I can still recommend this accommodation. There is just one thing that could be improved—the portion size of dinner. Even for someone like me who usually finishes everything, it was slightly too much to eat entirely, which was unfortunate. If there were an option for smaller portions with higher quality as part of a Plan, I would definitely choose that and return again in the future. Since this is not really a complaint, my overall rating remains at 5 stars. I won’t go into detailed descriptions since many others have shared their experiences already, but this is an accommodation where you can feel assured about your stay. Thank you for taking care of us during our visit; we hope to come back someday!

    Due to work circumstances, I had to change to this accommodation at the last minute. The reason was that the reviews were very positive. In conclusion, I’m glad I stayed here.     The sound of the river was very pleasant at this accommodation.

    This was my first time staying here with my mother and grandmother. From the moment we arrived, the staff at the entrance and during check-in were very polite, bright, and friendly, making us feel welcome. We enjoyed a welcome drink before heading to the Onsen. The Onsen, including the open-air bath, had a wonderful view that met our expectations. However, the stairs were a bit challenging for my grandmother. The meals were exceptional in both presentation and taste. Each dish paired perfectly with sake, making it an enjoyable dining experience. The portions were generous; although we were offered to take leftover rice as a late-night snack, we had to decline as we couldn’t finish it. After enjoying the Onsen at night, I relaxed in the lobby chairs with a complimentary highball from the free drink service—a truly pleasant time. Breakfast was also hearty and delicious—a perfect start to our day. Every staff member greeted us warmly throughout our stay. During check-out, they thoughtfully assisted with loading our luggage into the car. It was an incredibly fulfilling one-night stay. I would love to visit again!

    We stayed for one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The Room was spacious enough for two, beautifully designed in a Japanese style, and we enjoyed the relaxing sound of the Hokigawa stream. The private open-air bath was also very relaxing. Both dinner and breakfast were exquisite kaiseki meals, with each dish crafted to perfection. We were so satisfied that we couldn't finish everything—it was absolutely delicious! As a thoughtful gesture for our anniversary, we received a commemorative photo frame and a pair of teacups, making it a truly memorable day. Thank you so much!     Very satisfying accommodation, I would love to visit again soon.

    My parents were very well taken care of. I have stayed here about three times before, but it was their first time. Despite the sudden Reservation, they returned home thrilled, saying they were able to relax completely thanks to the warm and attentive hospitality, the excellent Onsen, and the wonderful meals. They mentioned that next time they would like to visit with the whole family. As a Diamond Member of IKYU.com this time, we received various upgrades and many souvenirs as well. My parents even said that from now on, they will make all their Reservations exclusively through IKYU.com! Thank you again for your warm hospitality at Yunohanaso.     The quality of the hot spring water was excellent.

    "Stayed at Yunohanaso for the first time, hoping for an Onsen-filled experience in a room with a terrace. The new room was lovely, the weather was great, and I enjoyed soaking in the Onsen followed by relaxing on the terrace with beer as planned. The meals were authentic Kaiseki cuisine and absolutely delicious. There was also a wide variety of alcohol to choose from, which made it even more satisfying. All the staff were friendly and kind, making my stay incredibly comfortable! I feel completely refreshed."

    This time, I stayed at Yunohanaso as a birthday gift for my wife. It is a highly-rated ryokan on reviews and YouTube, so I had high expectations even before visiting.     I was very satisfied this time as well.

    I stayed with my elderly mother. The onsen was very relaxing (especially the private open-air bath, which was amazing!), and the food was plentiful and absolutely delicious. I thought it would have been nice to have a screen on the window. From check-in to check-out, everyone treated us very kindly. I would love to come back again.

    We used this place to celebrate my parents' 70th birthday. Thank you for the wonderful service, including photos and gifts! The hostess's warm personality truly shone through. We were initially unsure about enjoying ourselves within the prefecture, but we rediscovered the charm of Shiobara Onsen. The quality of the hot spring water, the cuisine, and the room were all excellent! Highly recommended with confidence!
